Fantastic location. Our self-contained unit had everything you need, with lovely views. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be back.

Stayed here for a wedding. I asked for a room with a great view. They gave us a fantastic room with amazing views of the Story Bridge and the Brisbane River. Small studio room but absolutely perfect for a one night stay. We will definitely be staying here again. Great service, clean , neat & tidy room. Balcony was perfect to sit and have a morning coffee.

We unfortunately experienced a few hassles that set us back.
Parking problem and very long wait for breakfast in excess of an hour so we ran late for our event due to Parking problem then missed out on breakfast. Didn't get to sit back and enjoy the hotel experience. Staff where pleasant and shower jad good pressure. Great location.

Up quite a steep road. There is however a lift above 'Felons Brewery' The rooms were adequate an clean however there were 🪳 cockroachs in the room. Not the big ones but disturbing nonetheless. Hopefully they spray. The view of the Story Bridge is beautiful.

Very accommodating staff. Very good views.
The Cafe on ground floor does pretty good coffee. We also have breakfast there daily and the portions were big.

small rooms but had all we needed for overnight stay. parking was extra $45 . close off sites parking hard to find at night. affordable. open 24hrs. views were amazing. have stayed a few times now and will definately go back. close to bars and restaurants. shortwalk into town
K.
Great views comfortable had to change rooms due to fridge not functioning due to being iced up

We really enjoyed it. Yes it is close to the bridge and there is some road noise, however it doesn't matter where you stay cause in the city there is always hustle and bustle and the heavy doors do a great job at reducing it. The standouts for us was the location, it has a great aspect of the bridge, river and city. 2min walking distance to some of the best restaurants in the city on the river, Grece, Yoko etc. Inc micro breweries.
And the little cafe downstairs... we scored included breakfast, usually hotel breakfast is average, but wow, I'd say it was the best breakfast we had ever had anywhere. Many compliments to the amazing chef!
Overall great stay.

Do you know what outstanding customer service is? The team at the Oakwood Hotel certainly do. I posted a image of our view from our room for our wedding anniversary week on FB and tagged the Hotel.
30 mins later, a bottle of wine arrived with a card to wish us a happy Anniversary🍾
I never mentioned why we were staying when I booked the room. So they saw out post and acted upon it immediately. 😊
That is how you do customer service people.
Amazing guys. Such a simple guesture has left a lasting impression and a fond memory.
We will be back for another visit😉

Clean, tidy, and very comfortable. Kitchen with a 2 bedroom and an extra bed on top of that.
Dryer and own washing machine facility within bathroom.
H. B.
Very friendly staff. Breakfast area very cold. Windows not double glazed, so noisy with traffic. Bed was comfortable and I felt very secure & safe in my room. Close to many eating places. Short walk to church.
J. H.
The view speaks for itself. Amazing. The rooms were fine, on the older side but comfortable enough. Close to the Story Bridge so the traffic noise is noticeable. Location otherwise is absolutely perfect if you want to take a 30 second stroll to Howard Smith Wharves, which is a great place to be out and about. If you're after an amazing view in a brilliant location - Stay here! If you want a 5 star, ultra modern, pristine room, stay elsewhere. I will definitely be back as I know what is more important to me...

A great location for a night in the city if you are at dinner at Howard Smith Wharves. A little dated but clean and tidy
J. A.
Amazing location as it’s nearby the city, valley and riverside. The view is impressive!
L. P.
Value for money and fabulous location. Fantastic view of the Storey Bridge (especially impressive at night). Great location - walkable to restaurants along the river front and clubs in the Valley. Room was clean and self contained and beds were comfortable. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Perfect stay for a night or two out in Brisbane with friends.
J. A.
Nice Hotel, in a prime location with a great view

Incredible service. Friendly and helpful. Fantastic central location. Easy to find. Very Clean rooms. Amazing bed! Best shower I’ve had in years! Sensational views!!!

Celebrating a friend's 50th at Felons, this hotel was perfectly situated to walk to and from Felons, well presented, well priced, breakfast was great and we also were lucky and had on-site parking, all round a great stay.
P. P.
Wonderful hotel right next to Story bridge! Although the facility was a bit dated, they keep the room super clean and the beautiful view of Story bridge compensated everything!! Moreover, staff were so kind! Great service and hospitality!
A. J.
Loved staying here over the weekend. The apartments were pleasant and clean. The staff were extremely helpful and their customer service was amazing. I actually left two of my bags in the car park when I left, and they grabbed them for me and we’re so lovely and helpful with the entire situation. Thanks for the great accommodation, will definitely be back. :-)

My advice to people booking this hotel is to NOT read the reviews. The people writing the bad reviews are obviously extremely fussy and hard to please. I seriously could not fault this place. We booked a 1 bedroom riverview room and could not have been happier. Yes the place is a little older but it was extremely clean, staff were great and very helpful. Location was amazing and the price very reasonable. I definitely will be back.

1 star for the lovely woman at the front desk, 1 for the view/location and 1 for the fact it was clean enough. The bed? 2 singles pushed together with an obvious join. We needed a kitchen, wanted to cook some good steaks up for our kids who visited but the stove was terrible. Or the cheap fry pan wouldn't work properly on it. Ancient wobbly dishwasher I felt worried about touching, not very clean. No tongs in the 'full' kitchen. No salt with the pepper. The shower sprayed in different directions and hurt to use. The pool? Mouldy around the edges. Air conditioning set at 15 with advice not to change it, brrr. The picture online showed a large balcony with table and chairs when there's only 2 chairs, no room for even a small table. Not good enough for me to visit again.
W. H.
For an overnighter? it's a lovely apartment. Nice amenities, you're downstairs breakfast restaurant facilities were very good. The staff are very friendly, and you cannot hear any road noise considering it's location. Underground car parking is good but very limited so if you're going to stay there, you want to get in early, park your car and leave it there. The walk up to the hotel is not for the faint hearted, it's a killer......lol
F. B.
Management were very accommodating to our needs during our stay. Small inner city room but the veiw from our balcony was amazing. Highly recommended and responsibly priced. Loop
S. K.
Great view and good size apartment for 2 people

Great view. Great staff, really accommodating to say the least. The rooms were very tidy. Absolutely loved the cheesecake on the breakfast menu. Memorable trip to Brisbane made even more special by the fantastic view of Story Bridge every morning.

Great Location, Great Price and Spectacular Views.
Here's a hotel for those who miss the city life. Oakwood Hotel is conveniently located up on the hill from Howard Smith Wharf and minutes from the Valley and City. Surrounded by numerous restaurants, cafes and bars, you will not be bored staying here.
My partner and I enjoyed one night at Oakwood Hotel and for the price we paid we were amazed with our room. We were located on the 8th floor (just under the top floor) at the very end closest to the Story Bridge.
For an older building the rooms were well maintained and clean. Our room (1 bedroom apartment with city view) had a wrap around balcony, small study nook and views of the gorgeous city from every window. Waking up to the shimmering city and also being able to watch the warm sunset disappear behind the buildings was a highlight of our stay.
The busy noises, the bright city lights and buzzing night life really made us miss living in the city.
The staff of the hotel were very welcoming from the moment we stepped in. A big thank you for the lovely stay we will most certainly be returning again x
Tips and recommendation:
- Carpark is a little pricey but it is worth it. Your car will be in undercover and also secured. MAX height 2.1m
- Hire a City Scooter to ride along the river board walk.
- Check out the night life of Howard Smith Wharf. Make sure to book in advance for Restaurants as most will be busy.
- If you are after a quick meal and dessert Bettys Burgers is the place to go.
- If you can't stand the noise of traffic, suggest to stay on the opposite side away from the Story Bridge.

Handy to Story Bridge.
Disabled access rooms right next to the lift.
Large and clean rooms, easy access for wheelchairs.
Choice of queen bed or twin singles.
Kitchenette and in-room laundry facilities.
C.
Room was modern...clean..and view of river and bridge...no bar or dining room...parking in complex charged at $30.per 24 hrs.....if its full you have to park 2 blocks away at $30....for 24hrs....

Awesome view, awesome staff, amazing night. Can't put into words how great these guys are
A. C.
Amazing view, delicious breakfast, great smart TV and very friendly staff
D. L.
Yer great position really nice staff a bit older unit but all in all.
We will be back
D. G.
The rooms were a bit dated, but the view was spectacular.
a. n.
Great view from the room's balcony. Not too far from ferry station and story bridge is just next to the hotel. Room is spacious but a little bit old. The room I stayed got laundry machine and dryer, great for long stay.
A. P.
Definitely can't complain, given the price I didn't not expect it to be as nice as it was, however that changed when we had to pay $35 a night for parking. Staff were very friendly and there are some great places to eat within 5 min walking distance. Fantastic views of the Story Bridge and the city if you are lucky enough to get a river facing room. Will stay there again for sure.
F. T.
It's ok, no mini fridge so had to walk to a shop to buy ice. Few things in the room were faulty, bed was uncomfortable. Great location and staff though
M. G.
Absolute best value for money with a prime location.
The rooms were clean and comfortable with everything needed.
It's walking distance from many attractions and a pleasant experience.
B.
The view is beautiful 😍 this building needs an upgrade, she's old and a bit of a rust. But it doesn't stop them from giving an excellent daily room service, complimentary waters, new towels, spare key cards, clean pool/spa, gym and a sauna room with bathrooms. The location is also great, on your way out is a 10 min walk to the city on your left or a 10 min walk to the valley on your right.
F. U.
All of the staff that we met where were warm and friendly and only too happy to help. From the front of reception staff, cleaners and café staff. We have stayed once before and we were impressed even more so this time around. The buffett breakfast was lovely. It currently has a strict non smoking policy which we loved. No breathing in second hand smoke on the balcony or on the premises. Very heavy penalties apply. Rooms are simple but all that you need for a stay so close to the city. Our room was spotless. Stunning views of the city and Story Bridge.
V. p.
No air conditioning working in our room. The room was old and had that stale smell. The showers water pressure was low.The lamp shades were all stained. One chair on the balcony of the two had no cushions,so only one of us could sit out there at one time.No toilet brush for the toilet. The view was amazing. The staff were helpfull and pleasant. For the price its what you would expect.
s. s.
Reception, cleaning staff is very friendly .
but unfortunately cleaning staff don't clean the room at all .
Ended up we had to call to take rubbish out .. you have to keep rubbish in your room during your stay .
Although we got lovely lady to clean up our room Thank you !
Also they have nice view from balcony but no roof if it's rain you can't enjoy the nice view ..
A. B.
We got a river view room where you could see the story bridge, most of Brisbane skyline and a grwat view right down the river, beautiful for new years. The room itself is a little tired but has everything you could need in a one bedroom apartment. Standard kitchen, bathroom (shower was great) with laundry facilities in the room. Pool/spa area is good, tennis court available as well.
Outside of some cosmetic improvements that could be made, all in all a great place to stay.
S. B.
Nice and simple place. Well maintained and clean rooms, though the size of them is lil smaller. Had microwave and refrigerator. It's had attached restaurant as well, but there are lots of eateries choose by. Story bridge is very near by, though there are no views from the hotel. Hotel reception and staff are friendly.
A. H.
Booked 1 br with river view....wow! Mesmerising view from 8th floor, paid premium price for magic round weekend but worth it for the view and location, clean and quiet, they have a no party policy, will stay again
T. M.
We had a 1 bedroom Riverview room for 2 nights.
Our 3rd stay in 7 years with this hotel. Its had 3 name changes since the first time. This time around, the room was dated....understandably, but still tidy. Bed was comfy. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Close to great food places and Eagle Pier. Great view of Story Bridge. Double glazed ranch sliders so no outside noise in room.Only negative we have is that it's a bit of a climb back up to hotel....Good for fitness fanatics lol.
T. S.
Very peaceful, all clean and beautiful of the city.
L. W.
Great location right between the valley and CBD. Staff are friendly. We got a studio room, which is plenty for two if you just need a base while you're out all day.
L. E.
Just stayed a night over the weekend with my husband. The reception customer service was great. Friendly, happy and helpful. 😁We stayed in a studio room everything was fine but they needed some air fresheners or scented candles as there wasn't a nice smell coming from the bathroom. 🤔
N. J.
We stayed here at 1 night and Elina at reception was really sweet and helpful. She kept our bags when needed and gave us a nice room on the top floor with views to the Story bridge.
The hotel itself is a little old but the facilities and cleanliness were upto the mark. They gave two complimentary drinking water bottles.
It gets a little noisy in the morning because of the traffic but the double pane doors do their best to cut down the noise and for us it was worth the views.
Just a negative that it's a steep walk uphill from road to the hotel or you can take the river walk from city which is better.
S. M.
Location is great! Basically on top of Howard Smith Wharves, the two bedroom apartment was barely adequate, one bathroom in the main bedroom, other bedroom was upstairs so you had to go downstairs and into the main bedroom to access it, apartment was for four people but only had a very small two seater couch, mind you, you wouldn't be able to fit another in, it was a very small apartment. The lobby is nice, easy check in, had to park at the adjacent public Carpark $30.00 which is a great price, but a bit of a walk up a rather large hill, $270.00 + $25.00 for breakfast for a very outdated cramped space, there is definitely better out there, but hey, location is everything 😉
J. C.
Have stayed at the Oakwood apartments several times and never disappoints. Stayed saturday night, staff booking in and out so lovely. Breakfast and coffee just lovely, for the view, it is hard to beat.
c.
I love the location and the views. Car parking is a bit pricy, or they expect you to park down that hill, funny really! And a bit cheeky! I still do love it there.
C. C.
You definately pay for the location and view. The room was very outdated and not very clean. The couch was VERY cheap and uncomfortable and literally made from a slab of ply with some thin cushions. No Foxtel so there's no chance of settling in and enjoying a movie at night. After using a glass we noticed that there was something that looked like milk caked at the bottom that took some effort to scrub off. The staff were helpful and friendly. There was not alot of info in the room about the establishment/local restaurants etc or even a menu for the cafe that's located downstairs for breakfast. I called reception enquiring about a menu but was told all the have is a breakfast box of toast and cereal. The most disappointing part after paying a few hundred dollars for accomodation would have to be forking out an additional $35 a night to park your car in the carpark of the establishment. We definately won't be returning
V. v. D.
Great location! Walking distance to any area that you want to explore while in Brisbane, or if you're not that much into walking close to the ferry as well! Great view from Balcony! The building is a bit old, but otherwise good place to stay!
A. J.
Great location. Friendly staff. Not much options to eat within the hotel.
The aircon leaked. The room was comfortable otherwise.
D. L.
Rooms small and looked very different in person to the photos.. If you don't mind traffic noise then this place is in a good location otherwise it is pretty noisy day and night. The spa is luke warm at best and in need of an update, much like the rooms. However the staff are very good and were happy to move me to a quieter room! The food is very average in house, but your surrounded by both Fortitude Valley choices and city. Also like other have said I had someone knock very quietly and start opening the door when I was there, he was checking on the mini bar, lucky I was clothed so that wasn't great.
C. B.
Amazing river views. They are worth a stay. Rooms were decent and clean with comfortable beds. Food for room service was good and prices as you would expect of room service. Staff were friendly. If you are walking from Central, you do have to walk about 80metres up a steep hill to get to the hotel.
B. S.
PROS - A very nice view, from the 35th floor.
Rooms were very clean and modern, kitchen appliances all new and well maintained. A great place to stay.
CONS - the double bed was not great, it was 2 seperate beds pushed together and down the centre was a hard rail that made it very uncomfortable.
A. S.
The apartment type rooms are spacious, however, I would not say the hotel is a 4 star facility, rather closer to 3 star. The staff at the reception are friendly. We ran into some issues on the first night we stayed as we arrived after 9pm, as we tried to order from the room service menu, however was advised that only the chicken salad was available (from a many that had 3l24 hour food). The location of the hotel is great, right between both the Brisbane cbd and fortitude Valley. The pool and tennis courts have great views of the storey bridge.
r. l.
The staff were quite friendly in the end though too busy to be helpful in arrival so I feel bad to rate poorly.
I had a balcony room, it was pretty run down to be honest. The aircon didn't work at all, there was only one wine glass and there were no extra blankets so I was quite cold with no aircon at the same time.
The room was really old and you could tell, clean though most surfaces and appliances had a lot of signs of wear. Bed was really squeaky so I hope they had thick walls.
Overall for the price I can't complain too much (last minute deal) I would stay again for $130, wouldn't be happy if I paid much more though.
A.
Stayed here for a night either side of a cruise I did and honestly it was great. Front desk staff were so helpful and cheerful really made you feel valued they let us into our room early both nights (Last nights stay because they saw I was feeling unwell) it is alittle run down but overall was great.
A. a. B. V. (. b. D.
Only complaint I had with my stay was the smell of the garbage chute filled the public corridor. But points for the air fresheners to combat that even if they didn't work. Staff were awesome as always. WiFi excellent speed.
M. S.
Great little hotel. Querky. Retro style & old fashioned. Value for money. Try to stay high as possible. Worth the view.
N. K.
Pros:
Staff are friendly and helpful
Check in easy
Great location
Cons:
Building is quite old and tired.
The first room we had smelled like an 18 year old’s first share house.
Parking is $35
Very noisy location
Overall it’s about what you’d expect for the price range.
W. L.
Rating this as a Function venue - it's just average. The seminar room was freezing, with noisy airconditioning. The location was fairly good, with some nice seating areas in the lounge. It's a plus they have refreshing water with lemon easily accessible for guests. However, many patrons complained about the toilet paper in the bathrooms being hard to access (poor design). Overall, very dark inside but friendly staff.
M. M.
Great room for the price, especially with a view of Story Bridge which looks awesome when lit up at night. Room had all amenities, cooktop, microwave, all that. Only thing that wasn't explained in the booking was there is a valet service to park your car. And with no close option to park anywhere, you're kind of locked into paying the extra 25 dollars. Other than that, staff extremely helpful and easy to deal with.
S. L.
Awesome hotel & location, with amazing views. Bonus is there’s bars and restaurants down the bottom of the hill. Really great value.
A. R. C.
Wonderful Location, comfortable access to foodaries etc.
The view from the balcony is worth every penny.
Couples will love this place.
Pool and spa aren't really great.
Finding Entrance could get a little messy.
C. S.
Very reasonably priced with a great location near the new wharf precinct (although the walk back up the hill takes the breath away LOL)
Room was neat and tidy. We were on the 9th floor great views and felt spoilt. Pool and spa are great too.
D. S.
Excellent location short walk to wharfs, felons and more
J. C.
Beautiful hotel, excellent location, absolutely amazing staff
I hope nobody finds out about this hotel if I am being selfish.
Hot water not working in both rooms they put us in (was full house ), but staff went out of their way to accommodate.
D. S.
Venue location was awesome. Staff were friendly & helpful. Hotel is a bit old and could do with a refurbishment.
k. w.
We booked 5 nights at the Oakwood with a river view and balcony, got to say we were well impressed. We're from the UK where a Premier Inn style hotel will set you back £100 per night for just a room! Not an apartment like we had, with everything you could require. I would not hesitate to stay here again, thanks for 5 great nights..... Oh and they have secure car parking for $20 per night, which is a bargain as Brisbane parking can be quite expensive.
C. B.
Nice rooms. Higher up levels have great views, river side ones are right near the story bridge.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
My main issue is the aircon doesn't cool the suite much. Had it set to 15 and was still sweating in the room.
L. S.
The rooms were very clean and had everything that we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!!
E.
Value for money I think it’s worth staying here. Was disappointed with one morning when we put our cards out for room service breakfast and it wasn’t collected. So we missed the boat on that one and had to go get breakfast somewhere else. The parking is abit of a nightmare, because I don’t think there is a system that recognises parking capacity so it’s kind of like, luck of the draw, even though it was paid parking. And the restaurant for its price could improve its quality of produce. But in saying all that, we were compensated for those minor issues, which sadly affected the flow of things but generally speaking, I think a lot of those issues are due to a highly under staffed team. Even enquirers at reception were quite drawn out. But all in all, it’s a great location. Central to a lot that Brisbane has to offer and I would likely stay there again.
Kind regards
R. J.
Great location, we were on the 2nd floor and had a good view of the bridge and river, however I would request next time to be on the 4th or higher when your paying extra for the view!
Friendly staff, Clean room, good breakfast and a glass of bubbles on arrival. Apart from having the worst pillows I've ever had in a hotel we would definitely stay again.
K. P. L.
Our favourite place to stay in Brisbane . Amazing location close to river with breathtaking views of Storey Bridge which looks particularly stunning at night when lit. Love the hotel's proximity to the Valley and Chinatown - so many eateries! Love the view from the spa and pool area. Staff smiley and friendly. Rooms clean with everything you need including kitchenette with sink, microwave and fridge. We always look forward to staying here. Pics are of room 714.
j. h.
The hotel was beautiful and clean, they have housekeeping everyday which is rare for an apartment nowadays.. they didn’t cheap out on the furniture and tv like usual hotels. We also asked for the highest room possible and they accomodated this which was very nice.. also amazing views! Would stay again.
M. B.
Rooms are very well equipped. Staff are extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Breakfast buffet is healthy and a la carte menu is plentiful. Cheese platter provided gratis is a pleasant surprise.
And they have a sense of humour!
H. W.
Was skeptical about this place after reading some reviews but honestly we had a great experience. We stayed in a 1 bedroom Riverview apartment. View was awesome. Aircon was nice and cold. Bed was comfy, apartment was spacious. Great location. Walking distance to restaurants and bars in the valley or eagle street pier. Staff were friendly. Didn’t use the valet parking though. Parked overnight at queen street garage. Would definitely come here again
R. F.
Centally located in Brisbane. An older hotel apartments next to Story bridge with brilliant views down the river and city. Close to the new Howard Smiths Wharves. Could do with some upgrades now. Wonderful night views of the lit up bridge and city. Traffic noice can be an issue. Very friendly service. We didn't use the breakfast available as too pricey.
B. L.
Highly recommended. Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. Please choose the units with river view so that you can enjoy beautiful Story Bridge right from your room.
S. C.
Had a great weekend away with the husband. The staff at reception was amazing and friendly upon arrival to check out. A special shout out to mitch at reception he a credit to your team, great service made our weekend. Oakwood apartments were clean and tidy, the bathrooms need a revamp.
A. W.
1 night stay. Beautiful view. Reasonable walk to restaurants and food places. Value for money. A tad old, looks a little worn down esp bathroom. Has car park (paid parking) but out of space. has some paid parking a short walk away.
S. R.
Great views. Good size rooms but sadly it could do with a good spring clean and bathrooms could use a good scrub.
Restaurants in walking distances but if you don't want to go out, room service is slow but food is great.
y.
Average Hotel. Stayed for 2 nights for work, the bed was comfortable, bathroom and room was a bit dated but functional. Ordered continental breakfast the first morning, cold toast with no butter or jam, cold croissants, really no effort made. Wouldn’t stay again considering other options in Brisbane.
J. H.
Got a lovely view from my room (
Story Bridge and Brisbane River). And just a few minutes walk to fortitude Valley.
#sunset
#sunrise
L. S.
Convenient for walking to the city. A bit noisy though. The rooms are comfortable, but cooking facilities are very basic and not well maintained. We were surprised to be charged $25. A night for "weekend parking".
B.
The hotel is probably more 3 than 4 stars. The rooms are ok and quite tidy. The whole place could probably do with a bit of a facelift. The wifi isn't great in the rooms but there are ethernet ports (BYO cable). Dinner in the restaurant was enjoyable. Very happy that Stone & Wood Pacific ale is available at the bar.
Also a special mention to the staff who are 10/10. Especially Michael, Elly & Lindsay.
Hotel 3/5
Staff 10/10
T. P.
Modern comfy rooms with great views of the river, city and storey bridge, if you select that option (well worth it). There's also an outdoor pool and spa, as well as small bar/restaurant next to the lobby. The service from reception is also friendly and professional. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is the room was missing quite a few items upon check in
T. M.
Great budget accommodation with good views of the bridge.
Not sure what the rooms on the other side of the hotel are like but the view made up for the minimal amount of traffic noise.
Solid hotel facilities, nice room and helpful staff.
E. A.
Great central location for all amenities, two minute stroll to Howard Smith Wharf and an assortment of eateries, room was fine, but beginning to look a bit tired, the view of the Story bridge and Brisbane at night was spectacular.
J. L.
Great location to Howards wharfs and valley. Be good place to watch Brisbàne river fire in September if you get a room facing the bridge or city for elderly check if you have a shower or bath shower as could be a hassle stepping out of the bath tub after a shower as there are no hand rail to hold on to.
D. L.
The staff were friendly and helpful, but we had to shift rooms twice due to Aircon not working in the first or second room. Riverside views were great, breakfast was nice but the restaurant in the evening was overpriced and the steak was overcooked.
B. P.
Friendly staff, and amazing views across the city from the South facing apartments. A perfect cost-effective location to base your self in the centre of the city - within walking distance of either Fortitude Valley or the CBD. You wont be stuck for choices of food, especially with Eagle Street Pier and Brunswick Street within a 5 minute stroll.
Comfortable and simple apartments catering to weekenders and travelers alike.
M. M.
Sensational view of Brisbane and the bridge. Pretty ordinary facilities. Rusty fridge. Water hammer on one toilet and malfunction on the other. Highly variable room service. One day we're waiting 45 mins for an ironing board (because the one in the room is broken). Next day, its 5 minutes for some beers. Shower screen clearly hasn't been cleaned properly in months. But the view just about makes up for it. We were in the penthouse.
K. K.
I used to stay here way back when it was the Adina apartments, now is a little out dated but for quaint little place smack bang, in the middle of Brisbane with outstanding views of the Story Bridge at night. If your lucky to face that way.
H. S.
The rooms are am average size but the location is quite easy to get to. They have the basic facilities including a microwave. Parking costs are additional. There is a 24/7 reception.
r. W.
Great staff room was bit small but the river and bridge view made up for that.
T. M.
We stayed here for 2 nights as a celebration. The design of the hotel is quite cool. In fact, the whole hotel is very clean. All in all a good hotel in a good location with great transport connections. In the bottom line - a great value for money.
A. J.
We were a table of 6, all entre's arrived at the same time and were of a large size. Very high quality dining. The main meals were also served at the same time and were very delicious. Would definitely recommend this as a great place to dine out.
M. S.
Give the receptionists a pay rise. All wonderful. Nothing they can't help with with corona virus making life so unpredictable.

Well positioned hotel and reasonably priced.

Really nice apartments overlooking story bridge there are elevators so you don't have to walk up the giant hill which is outside very close to all restaurants shops taxis buses trains and very reasonably priced rooms with large rooms.the staff are nice friendly and all the rooms are clean.
A. S.
Location is great. Air con in restaurant didn't seem to work the days we were there and was uncomfortably warm. Staff are friendly. Place is becoming a little dated.
S. B.
Great accommodation facilities but breakfast needs improvement. Food on hot buffet was all cold and had been sitting for some time even though I was there only half hour into session.
Would stay again but not take breakfast option.
T. K. (.
The location is conveniently close to Fortitude Valley; an easy 5 minute walk to Brunswick St. The staff were friendly and helpful. All my room requests were met. The 3 person apartment fit all 3 of us comfortably with lots of room to spare.
C. L.
great place to rest! Fantastic!
M. M.
Oakwood Hotel Apartment has great view hotel with a lot of facilities such as sauna, swimming pool, gym & tennis court. They have nice restaurant at the entrance. They also have great view of Brisbane River & Story Bridge and the City view.
S. B.
My room was a generous size with kitchen and clean bedding and towels. However, I was on the 5th floor and all night could hear water trickling through pipes in the walls ?? Perhaps from the floors above? No sleep was had.
B. F.
Best location ever! Right next to story bridge. Road access is a little difficult initially but all good once you've done it once. Nice staff very clean hotel. I didn't stay there just went for breakfast
J. C.
Beautiful gorgeous Hotel, very classy. Love the rooms. Amazing!!! Recommend 100%.
M. C.
Only problem was getting there as located right on top of the hill next to the bridge. Rooms on lower levels are small and don't have a view, so River view rooms are the best with balconies
J. M.
Booked for 3 but only got a room with 1 bed and set up for 2. There was no hot water at night. Daughter slept on the couch with a spare pillow and top sheet. Told them in the morning and all they said was did you tell anyone last night and asked if we had anything from the mini bar.
M. F.
Didnt stay overnight. Went to Oakwood for dinner at the restaurant. Restaurant was awesome. Decor was pretty sterile and unimpressive but the food really impresssed us. Everything was cooked really well and had heaps of flavour. Generous serves too.
M. B.
So close to the CBD and Fortitude Valley (China Town): walking distance from Fortitude Valley train station. Very adequate rooms with washing machine and dishwasher. Restaurant has good variety and caters for gluten free. Right on the river walk and plenty of hills to access for exercise.
F. H.
Great location, very clean, helpful friendly staff.great view of story bridge and Brisbane river
My only complaint if any would be if a comfy single lounge was in the room to relax with a quiet drink and watch television
M. B.
The Oakwood Hotel and Apartments have possibly one of the best views you can get from a room overlooking the Brisbane River. Close to Fortitude Valley as well. The rooms are comfortable, and clean. Perfect for Riverfire in September.
I. S.
Was wanting a room with a bath, short notice because of river festival on was able to get a room with a bath there. Only It did not work so left the next day. Close to everything. Only hassle I had to park in China town and walk back to hotel mmm. Would stay again.
J. C.
Top Floor.. Amazing view! Most comfortable bed ever!! Spa and Pool were amazing! Service and staff was first class! JOSH 901
K. B.
Nice place to stay but the water pressure was pretty crappy. The sauna didn't work and spa was colder than our bath and that was pretty Luke warm, was let down.
G.
great place to stay- especially if you get a river view apartment- the breakfast is pretty good too
R. “. M.
We were on the 9th floor overlooking the Brisbane river and the Storey Bridge. It is beauitiful.
The staff were attentive and delt with individuals in a very caring way. Oakwood has a lovely restaurant and all the ficilites you need. Close walking distance to China town and the CBD.
F. M.
If you able to get a room with the Bridge view, go for it! Is amazing!
Friendly staff. Great food.
The room that we stayed in needs some retouching.
T. S.
Had an amazing stay and will be back! View was beautiful, staff were so helpful and the room had plenty of space. Parking and staying so close to the city and valley was a big help
L. “. B. B.
I don't understand people whingeing about this place. It's truly amazing. From the views, to the friendly staff and an absolutely DELICIOUS variety of food for the buffet breakfast. This place is fabulous. Thankyou for a great night away :)
e. v.
Fantastic view!! Clean, well maintained spacious.
Customer service was great and host was very helpful and kind.
A must visit.
s. c.
good price for the quality of the hotel, nice view from the balcony, all facilities were up to scratch... friendly helpful staff if i only had one complaint it wpuld be that housekeeping tried to come into my room twice.
B. D.
Deciding on the Oakwood apartments was a win as far as I'm concerned. With fiendly staff, a well layed out and comfortable room and an amazing well priced breakfast. And if I didnt mention how good the Oakwood apartments is managed, I have now. Thank you.
R. O.
Unfriendly male receptionist when checking in, felt very unwelcome however the extremely friendly and very helpful female receptionist made up for it on check out. Would recommend for a quick stopover stay in Brisbane as the location is excellent
M. T.
Take a room with bridge view and be amazed. Walking is great if you don’t mind a few ups and downs, cbd in easy reach. Would definitely stay here again.
J. T.
Great location for a city stopover. Very comfy and clean. We had a room with a river view.
A. T.
Location is good, close to the Valley and bridge. Also close to main roads. Depending on room allocation you can get a nice view or a billboard. Staff are nice. Rooms are clean.
J. &. L.
Clean, convenient location, right price, great view. A personal favourite of ours for a fun weekend in the city
M. _. (.
The room was dated and not cleaned the best, also the aircon kept cutting in and out. We paid $25 for parking & had to park our car illegally on the road until they could get around to parking it away.
l. b.
Best hotel in Brisbane CBD/valley are. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The amenities were brilliant and the breakfast was to die for.
C. D.
FABULOUS view overlooking the Brisbane River, City & Story Bridge.
Check in was a little slow, this could be due to staff shortages?! Room cleanliness was of a high standard.
N. R.
River view rooms (nice view indeed) are very nice. Clean, free WiFi, you can cook, there's a bathtub, dishwasher, free laundry, etc.
K. W. v. W. (.
Great Hotel with fantastic views of the Bridge and the service was impeccable. Only complaint (if you can call it that) was the check-in could have been a bit quicker.
S. J.
My daughter celebrated her 21st birthday party, what a lovely place, as it was outdoor with a magnificent view of the bridge and river, all staff involved was so helpful but one of them stood out,Michael, what a champ, he went out of his way to please and nothing was a problem,he should be getting staff member awards and he can keep his head high as he is a valuable staff member and cheers to all other staff involved for all your assistance, well done!
D. W.
Fantastic views and great breakfast. Super worthwhile for the pricing. Rooms are clean and air con works perfectly.
R. L.
Apartments were tidy but if you want to wait 2 weeks to get your bond back then book here. They are quick to take it.. Not to quick to give it back.
n. h.
Great apartment overlooking Bridge and river, spectacular views night and day, rooms clean large with everything you need, breakfast good, easy walk to Riverside restaurants
O. W.
Standard hotel with good views of the Story bridge and Brisbane River. River views etc have different tariffs. Exceptional customer service.
S. M.
Very nice clean and friendly and awesome view of the Story Bridge and City 😊❤
C. M.
Everything from start to finish is wonderful. The staff, the apartment, and the view are 10 out of 10.

Staff were always friendly and helpful
K. G.
After what could only be described as a stressful evening. Alex came to our rescue. He went above and beyond and was so very helpful. Alex is certainly an asset to the Oakwood apartments. Thank you Alex
J. S. (. A.

E. J.
Very nice amd friendly staff. Apartment was perfect. We had view to river... was amazing. Very romantic.

We were very well looked after here whilst the Victorian border was shut :)
S. B.
They've tried really hard to turn an old room into a modern room, but it hasn't quite worked. The rooms are very spacious, however.

V. I.
Nice enough. 10 to 15 min walk from city and supermarkets. Great views
A. S.
Good location for a professional event, ample seating. Coffee not available during the middle of the day which is unfortunate.
S.
Stayed back when it was called adina. Seemed nicer then. Man who checked us in was very flustered n rushed us but check out lady was lovely.
c. t.
No Paymovie option and noisy if you stay in a room that is not facing the bridge.
B. D.
Very good location next to Storey Bridge.

Mitch saved the day at this place
Offered beers while we wait for our room to get sorted and showed us where to grab a good feed
Only bad critique i can give was that me and my friend were standing there waiting to be served and a staff by the name of john just ignored us and served another man who came in behind us
R. W.
Great place close to town, unfortunately it is noisy on the story bridge side.
