Food is very good here. My only problem was the AC wasn't working. I asked the staff but said was currently broken. However I've been here a few times and the menu doesn't disappoint.

I didn’t know what to expect walking in here, as I had just (literally minutes) had a bad experience at the Royal up the road. I was ecstatic to find every single staff member extremely warm and polite, especially Brad and Ellie. Lovely place for a game of pool with friends, and I felt very at home and welcomed. Will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely loved this place! The bread was delicious- a great combination of a crisp crust and a soft inside. The pate and escargot were enjoyable but the highlights were definitely the steak and chicken. The steak was cooked to perfect and had amazing sauce while the chicken was the most tender I've ever had. Good value for a fancy and delicious group meal.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. (Even though it's been 4 months since my review). Have an extra star for that. The best feedback I can give is on Christmas let single people come in for a standard meal and not a have to pay for the expencive seafood buffet. Not everyone has family or can eat seafood.

Nice easy going & always friendly staff, be respectful and kind and they are extremely hospitable. Get cheap schoons, fine wines, there's plenty of parking & a it's nice place for a punt on the horses or doggies. The food is always top notch, steak is just brilliant, chips are the best around and the salad is a nice lil knock up with an amazing dressing, honestly I need to know how to make that dressing, mate it's beautiful & everyone I take up there for lunch or dinner always comes out talking about the food & feeling good. It's got a real nice atmosphere. You may even have a chance to meet a local, I mean they stick together & may come across as a bit rough on the eyes & ears, but they'll almost certainly welcome the chance to hear your story, then share one of theirs.

What a fantastic place to stay! I am really really happy with my stay here. Highly recommended. I never write reviews but I took the time to write this one because of how well we were treated here. We stayed in the rooms without a bathroom and didn’t have a problem. Air conditioning was great and didn’t have any problems with noise. The kitchen downstairs is great too the steak was perfect And the fish and chips were top notch. The staff are the friendliest I’ve ever met they make the place what it is and I’m really happy with the service you couldn’t beat it if you tried I will definitely stay here again! I have really enjoyed my visit here and if you are after a cheap place to stay closer to the train station then this is the one!!!

What an absolute stunner of 2 drinks, an entree & 2 massive meals all for $68. I am genuinely gob smacked that this restaurant doesn't have huge line ups and fully booked at all times! The food was amazballs! Admittedly, we waited 25-30 minutes on food, but I would've waited 45 minutes easy knowning that my food was going to be that good! Speed of service was good. Only waited in line maybe 5-10 minutes. Friendly smiles all around and very helpful staff. Was able to change my sides for something else I felt like. Thank you The Prince of Wales Hotel, this won't be the last time you see me!

Cheap pints, fantastic atmosphere and not to mention the best pub food I've ever had. It is no over exaggeration. The lamb cutlets & the ribs are hands down the most sumptuous, well cooked, value for money meals I've had. 10/10 If I'm ever to travel back to Brisbane I would head here straight away for the food. Great value for money lunch and dinner steaks. Been many times but had to send back my meal on one ocassion only as the steak was too fatty and the veges were cold. My main gripe is that one of the female staff at the order counter seems consistently in a bad mood. It doesn't take much to be polite and smile.

We got room 1 adjacent to the street and got no sleep because there is no sound insulation. Street noises like the 2 AM delivery outside the window kept us up all night. Ask for a room away from the street. Other than that the rooms were clean, the restaurant downstairs has good food and good service. The location was great.

I was there with a band. There was sufficient parking available out the back of the hotel. Gaming room is spacious enough that your not bumping shoulders with others. The restaurant looked nice and the service was excellent aswell as the food and prices. Not much of a smoking area if that's what you're interested in. But all in all we had a good time.

Haven’t been to the Prince of Wales Hotel in quite some time! I was pleasantly surprised at how great the venue now looks and feels, the staff were fantastic and the food was outstanding! Seriously the best steak sandwich I have ever had! Will definitely be back 😍🙌🏻

Great little hotel. Good value for money. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Shirley from housekeeping was very kind to us helping us out with a hanger we needed. Only thing faulty was the men's shower window that had a missing glass which let the cold air in.

Only recently started coming here with my partner and I can already say it’s my favorite place in Brisbane to have a burger. The burgers here are delicious, consistant and generous in size. To top it all off the staff are super friendly and give amazing service.

Stayed here for a nights cheap accommodation handy to the airport. There was a band playing downstairs until about midnight that you could hear in the room. The aircon was a bit noisy but otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. The amenities are shared and basic but I had a sink in my room.

For a 3+ star hotel this was great. The room was clean and large. The staff friendly and helpful, carrying our large suitcases up the stairs for us. Shopping centre across the road. Shared toilets are clean with a great shower, downside - it was a fair walk from our room! Otherwise, very good value for money if overnighting before a flight.

It isn't the best establishment in the area, considering the surrounding-block has numerous establishments with a great atmosphere. However the food is affordable and I have enjoyed every meal. They regularly have live music and each day of the week provides a discounted meal.

Great cosy old pub. It has an excellent TAB area out the back with plenty of room. It also has a stage for bands like the old school days. The menu is excellent and the dining room is large and spacious. There is also accommodation upstairs. There is plenty of parking out the back and also the side. The pokie lounge is large. The menu has a very good selection of food which is of large proportion. There is always something going on in this pub. Trivia etc. Railway station is nearby as well as Nundah Village.

The food is okay, and the portion size is good, however it is well over priced for the quality. They do have daily specials which are probably your best option. They also do senior discounting. The atmosphere is a bit lacking, certainly not romantic or formal, just your regular English style pub with pokies and keno.

Stayed 1 night and arriving by taxi was dropped of in the carpark and directed to enter via the pokies entrance. Main entrance on main rd so no vehicle stopping. It was unclear where reception was as I had a room booked for the night. I found my way to the bistro and was directed back to the gaming lounge to check in. I was informed of the penalties for losing the room key smoking in the room, causing a fire etc, all with heavy penalties over $1K. I was then asked to sign forms detailing these but wasn't given a copy. The young man then showed me to my room up several flights of stairs and with a "are you right with your bags" made no move to assist. It took a couple of minutes for him to work the keys to gain access to the accommodation area. My room was a little dated but had been somewhat modernised and was comfortable. I ducked down to the bistro for a late dinner just before closing, told to sit anywhere I liked but no menu offered until I requested one. My pie of the day was lacklustre but filled the hungry spot. Unable to work the keys back into the accommodation area I had to seek assistance which was promptly provided. I slept pretty well and enjoyed nice hot showers. Staff were friendly but could be a bit more professional and the dodgy keys/lock needs attention. Very convenient to the airport for a fair price.

Arrived to see if room available after long drive we ended up with the 2 room appartment it was very clean and bed and linen were excellent Had a surf and turf for dinner that meal was only $15.00 and was the best I've had for some time . The hotel was clean and even had an adjoining sports bar and casino. The service was great. The receptionist was very friendly and nice and even helped us to arrange a 3am taxi for the next morning so we could catch an early flight. Would definitely suggest this place if you just need a quiet spot close to the airport to catch some zzz's during a long layover.

I stopped in randomly from America. I must saw when arrived I was confused where to go. I walked into what looked like a casino. I know everything is not as modern as America in Australia. But this hotel is in dire need of renovations because it’s an older building. People were nice but the building needs work, My suggestions to the owners: Redo/Gut the whole entire bathroom seemed outdated. The shower I literally almost burned myself turning it on and the water was way too hot There were Cracks on the wall that wasn’t real appealing on the eyes Repaint the walls in the bedrooms they were sorta dirty Change the locks to electronic RFID locking system. I had so many problems trying to open the door neither less having to carry a big clunky card with keys hanging off them Put Air conditioner in the hallways, it literally felt like a sauna and was uncomfortable The air conditioner window units seal the cracks with caulk so it keeps the room cool and keeps bugs out. All new windows would be a good thing also Hire an exterminator seeing bugs in my bed wasn’t a pleasant sight If you want to keep clients coming in I would highly suggest doing these things. As a tourist and a person who lives in a tourist state it was disappointing and I would of expected much better stay

The Prince of Wales Hotel at Nundah, known to the locals as the top pub has been a Nundah institution for many years. Always consistent, it's known for it's good cold beer, friendly staff and reasonable priced meals. It's ever changing menus and daily specials offers something for everyone. A good pub tab and separate poker machine area are well maintained, if you're interested in a flutter and with ample parking and a well stocked and we'll priced drive thru, it's a great place to spend some time if you're in the Nundah area. If you have trouble getting up in the morning, have done your domestic online check ins - this is a great choice to give you those extra precious minutes of sleep in time so you can power through that 9am morning meeting. It's an 8 minute Uber from Qantas domestic and public transport in the early peak hours of corporate travel is non existent before 6am. The staff here are so nice and accommodating, requested an early check in as I was on a tight schedule that day and wouldnt be able to double back from a meeting to check in during the staffed office hours. Having stayed here several times, the place is quite clean and accessible to public transport and easy options to get supplies to stock up your mini fridge. Upon checking in, the room was beautifully temperature controlled to 22 degrees celsius.

Stayed overnight in a Studio King and Single. While the room was old it was neat, clean and airconditioned. There was a fridge, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, as well as tea and coffee making facilities in the room. I chose to stay overnight as it was cheaper than getting a taxi or Uber home after New Year's celebrations. The staff were friendly and helpful I really couldn't have expected more from this type of accommodation.

Begging for more stars is quite annoying, but I have refrained from reducing my rating - this time. I gave you the correct rating: 3 stars for "on balance meets expectations; satisfactory". That means I'm quite happy and would go again (despite the star-begging) If I was so dissatisfied that I would resist returning, you'd be getting only 2 stars. To get 4 stars you'd need to exceed my expectations, and to get 5 stars you'd need to be spectacular; short of tearing down your building I don't see how you could achieve that. I don't trust stars awarded by people who treat "5 stars" as if it was a bribe to obtain adequate service. I sometimes see reviews that list a bunch of problems but still award 5 stars; how useless is that to the prospective customer comparing venues?

Stayed in the 2bed appartment which was very nice and very reasonably-priced. Had dinner at the pub down stairs and have to say it was pretty good! The only w slight negatives were that the main aircon units for the pub are right under the balcony so it is a tad noisy at times. Its also raining and there's a big hole in yhe guttering meaning rain pours onto the tin roof below being really noisy right outside the main bedroom. These two minor things stopped me giving 5 stars

Located on Sandgate road in Nundah it is a old school type of pub. The Prince of Wales has regular band nights and you never know your luck you may hear some great new music like we did. The pub itself is not flash but the service is good and the drinks were reasonably priced . Accommodation is also available at an ok price for what you get.
