This is a great option when staying in Brisbane. I chose this as it was across from the botanical gardens, try to get a higher level as to be above the tree line. I stayed on level 8 and it was a very nice view to wake up to. The outer building structure itself is aged, but has a seventies charm. Internally the fit out is borderline tacky, but somehow pulls off a old world charm with intricate carpets and cabinets with curiosities on display. The rooms are of a good size and beds extremely comfortable. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked quite nice. Conveniently located and priced well I would stay here again.

This is a classic good hotel. No wonder the rating is high. Complimentary drinks at the bar to relax. Room is clean and quiet. Nice amenity and yummy cookies everyday. And rates are very reasonable!!! Next to botanical garden. I’d love to stay here again :)

This hotel blew me away. Immaculately clean and the people who work there are so helpful and nice. I felt like a queen during my stay. They have a lovely restaurant downstairs as well. I hung out there and had 3 cups of coffee and read a book. So Peaceful. 😊

What a fantastic hotel. The accommodation is super clean & the decor is great. All staff members were very helpful & actually happy to help. We stayed in queen room on park side 7th floor & had a great view of the park. The Walnut Restaurant was very good for dinner & extra nice for breakfast. Will be back.

We love Royal on the park… great location, next to botanical gdns and 5 min walk to the shops. The beds are comfy, the breakfast is delicious and all the staff are well trained and friendly. Will definitely stay again and again
D.
Fantastic hotel. Staff are lovely, rooms are maintained extremely well and are very clean, and the pool/spa and bar are both great. The beds are also very comfortable. Can’t wait to stay again!

Love this hotel. It's our second stay here this year. Staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is lovely, a mixture of old world and modern. The most comfort beds. Lovely bar area with the best coffees in the whole of Brisbane. Lovely pool and warm spa. This hotel deserves 5 star all the way
We will definitely be back one day, just amazing. Thank you so much Debbie Hancock and Nick :)
M.
If there was an option to give more stars I would have! Well deserved 5 stars. The staff, facilities and meals were outstanding! I highly recommend staying here.

We love this hotel and always try to stay here when having a weekend in Brisbane. We love the style and decor - it’s classic, warm and welcoming, rather than modern and sterile.
The staff are friendly and helpful, beds comfy, rooms clean, the breakfast is fab (especially if you have hungry children!) and everything is a pleasant walk away or just hop on a CityCat. And I love the pool!!
T. C.
Room was lovely, bed was super comfy. Hotel is in a great location. Best part of our stay was Richard at Reception, his customer service was exceptional 👌
F.
what a lovely surprise, booked in here last night for 3 nights and was instantly impressed by the old world charm of this place. its such a nice change to be in a hotel that "feels" like a hotel. so many these days are more like modurn apartments. it's got a
lovely old world Bar/library and resturant all with nice old wood panaling. chesterfields and antiques in the foyer. and directly across from the beautiful Brisbane botanic Gardens. plus an easy walk to the city centre
staying in room 222 with view of the gardens and trees across the road
ill stay here again

We really enjoyed our stay here.
The room was well appointed.
The restaurant food par excellence ( which is why we couldn't get a table on a Monday night, booked out!!)

We just had two wonderful nights at the Royal on the Park and had a great experience. The room was very spacious with two very clean and comfortable queen size beds. The dinner we had at the Walnut restaurant was well presented and delicious. We both had Ocean Trout and Bombe Alaska for dessert. Breakfast had a very good selection of cold and hot food. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located opposite the lovely botanical garden close to the river where there are lots of restaurants. We came up with two bicycles to visit Brisbane and the hotel has a safe storage to keep them in during your stay. I would certainly recommend Royal on the Park and its going to be my hotel to return to when in Brisbane.
M. S.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times
previously. It is located very conveniently near the river, Botanic Gardens, restaurants and shopping. The atmosphere and ambience ensure you settle into your break immediately. We have found all staff very
helpful , friendly and professional. Richard on the front desk deserves 5stars for his guest service.
R. S.
Love old world ambience and perfect position and wood paneling in cafe
Hotel rooms lovely beds and sheets and bathrooms
Professional front desk
luggage trolley available will store luggage
Free parking great
Close to garden walks river main shops restaurants
Pool lovely with towels provided and many deck chairs and umbrellas under blazing Brisbane sun.
Only 2 lifts but stairs doable even on 8 th floor but maybe consider lower floor if a lot of people in your party we had 2 adjacent rooms for 5 people so used stairs most of the time

A gorgeous, classic property in the style of some of the older NY hotels. We were upgraded to a nicer room at no extra charge because it was my friend's birthday. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. Lovely room, big TV, gorgeous view, HUGE, comfy bed that seemed to go on for an acre. I also loved the bidet-it was an experience and a half😀

This grand old lady is in a prime position for exploring the CBD. Directly across from the Botanical gardens and short walk from Queen St mall. The hotel has a heritage old world charm to it. The check in was good and there is parking directly out front for check in. There is self parking but for a price that I think is overly expensive as the carparks are very tight with no lift to the hotel. The boom gate to access and exit the carpark does not work well. The lobby is beautiful with a nice bar area. The room was nice but not a good view. The cleanliness was of a decent standard. I stayed for 6 nights and on the 4 night had to request the sheets to be changed as the bottom sheet does not quite fit the bed properly. The bed however very comfortable. The bathroom is good and the shower pressure is excellent. The towels could be larger. The cleanliness could be better. There is a handy tablet that you can order room service and housekeeping. The room service from the restaurant is excellent. There is in house movies for a price or you can Chromecast from your own device which I thought was a great touch, the staff were friendly.

Stays at Royal on the Park are always a pleasure. Beautiful accommodation and spotlessly clean in refined and quality surroundings. Very highly recommended!
R. c.
Yes this is an old hotel, yes it has some wear an tear, but it is grand and comfy, they make amazing cocktails in the very bourgeois bar, the food is delivered hot an fresh. The seating is comfort an homely and so close to the city centre. Will be back!
A. W.
Lovely staff, lovely room, lovely inclusions, lovely facilities. I loved this place, it felt like the type of hotel they feature in movies. Thanks guys!
J. N.
Great location, very welcoming staff, wonderful meal at Walnuts Restaurant and very comfy beds. The river park is beautiful to walk through and just across the road.
W. M.
Great hotel, central Location between Eagle Street Pier and the Treasury Casino. Still has a lot of the old world charm.
J. H.
Great location, lovely clean rooms, great pricing and plenty of car parking on site. Lovely fresh breakfast with great selection.
J. B.
A very stylish hotel. Foyer and entry have an old world feel but our room was beautiful and modern with all the bells and whistles. Restaurant was excellent and well-priced but it was the service that stood out most for us. All the staff were warm and friendly and project a 'the guest's comfort is the most important thing to us' approach. This will now be our go-to hotel in Brisbane.
D. E.
Nice room, well maintained. Friendly staff, but my God the parking was awful. Need to sort that out
A. C.
Absolutely Fabulous! Staff were amazing, room was beautiful. Our original spa suite was unavailable, so we were upgraded to the executive spa suite. Facilities were great also. Classic style hotel with a classy feel. Will definitely return in the future. Thank you for making our weekend so enjoyable.
P. D.
We are very fond of the Royal on the Park and have stayed here many times. It is certainly old and the rooms and general decor reflect that. While regular maintenance has done a great deal to keep things in good shape, there has been no attempt to modernise the look and feel of the hotel. But that isn't such a bad thing. The service is first class and very prompt, the rooms are comfortable and the beds are one area that have been regularly improved. I you prefer light and bright with tiles and colour then this might not be your hotel, but if you are looking for good value and a bit of old fashioned style the Royal on the Park could work for you.
The location is also teriffic. The Botanical gardens are just across the street and a lovely place to walk off a long drive or plane flight. The Eagle Street complex is very close with restaurants and more activity and the city centre is only a 10 minute walk. They have very reasonable parking for a city hotel as well. Give them a try.
w. d.
This Hotel is a grand old dame from the days long gone; where customer service real means something. The offerings include easy free parking, comfortable beds and amenities in our room and a wonderful restaurant to match. The movies on the pay service match the decor… but let’s be fair; you don’t stay at Park Royal to watch movies!😝😝
R. L.
Recently stayed here and it was a very pleasant experience - very close to everything and only a short walk to South Bank. Directly opposite a park, that is lovely to walk through. Hotel rooms are clean and very good size. Prices are pretty good for Brisbane CBD and there is onsite parking. Parking price was a little steep but it is good to be able to park the car yourself and know it is a 100m walk away.
D. S.
Good size room, book & paid for a large room with city views, got the car park view, got told luck of the draw!!!
B. F.
Favourite hotel in Brisbane. It’s grand and the staff are friendly. Drinks delivered to the pool are excellent!!
E. P.
Excellent hotel. Fine dining available in room service - absolute winner for me. On site parking. Excellent beds. Very comfortable rooms.
C. W.
This is a great hotel. Old fashioned service, excellent rooms, good food. Do close to the City heart but opposite Botanical gardens, and three minute walk to River.
S. O.
This was our 2nd stay here. Love the location, opposite botanical gardens and close to eberything. Beds are very comfy and reception are friendly and helpful. Carpets etc are ratger worn. Sadly, housekeeping are atrocious. There were 3 of us booked but only towels etc for 2 guests. After requestings our room to be made up 2 days in a row, bins were not emptied at all. Dirty cups and spoons were not replaced. Tea, coffee and milk were not replenished. There were no covers on the donasand beds were roughly pulled up and sheets rumpled underneath. Hopefully standards will improve as this was very at odds with the rest of the experience.

We stayed at the Royal on the Park in an Executive Suite. In my opinion, this is one of the best value for money luxury suites in Brisbane. Located on the top floor, this suite had an expansive dining and living room area overlooking the City Botanic Gardens. It included a luxurious king bedroom featuring a spa on-suite as well as a separate powder room., walk in wardrobe and kitchenette. The luxury suite came with a complimentary bottle of Moet champagne on ice and unground parking. The restaurant offered a delicious buffet breakfast. Centrally located in the Brisbane CBD. There is no shortage of restaurants, shopping and entertainment within walking distance of the hotel.
S. H.
Great location. Good value. Great view out of our suite's window. On site parking a plus. Great buffet breakfast.
K. L. R.
Perfect location for CBD, just across from the botanic gardens. Beautiful room, food black out curtains, controllable Aircon, comfy beds and soundproofing so good that the room was silent, in spite of the location.
T. F.
We knew we wouldn't have a fully disabled room, it was a last minute visit to doctors.
Wheelchair can't get to the balcony there is a swivel table that has an espresso machine blocking the way of it moving.
The bed is tall compared to my wheelchair ( standard quickie 2. It is climb to get into.
Beautiful soft beds. Not great if you have mobility issues. I made a nest on the floor, all good.
Bathroom is small but set up well. Shower is easy access, with a shower that goes up and down. The fridge froze everything. Quick check in, car park safe. Lovely rooms. Coffee good. Better than many.
It would be so easy to make this room more accessible for travelers. A couple of rails, a more suitable bed and a lower towel rail and clothes rail in wardrobe.
M. R.
The rooms are dated, staff are friendly, affordable, in a great location with free parking and wifi I'd definitely stay there again .
K. L.
Nice rooms. Bed a bit hard for my liking. Dinner was top prices, but also not my cup of tea.
S. D.
Fantastic location, great staff, attentive and caring service, clean and comfortable room, comfy bed and the coffee we ordered via room service the next morning was delicious!! (there was also a pod option in the room). Loved the cosy bar downstairs. Would definitely come back again.
Would definitely return.

Decent hotel, nothing too outstanding. My biggest complaint was the "complimentary" internet which was borderline unusable, which is a letdown you'd expect better from in 2021. Very high latency, and relatively low speeds. I tried video calling my family and we simply had to give up because the connection was so bad.
Also, the pool was out of service for the duration of my stay, with no offers to make up for it (e.g. a complimentary breakfast).
R. G.
Really enjoy staying here. Great rooms great historical lobby and bar and friendly staff and oh... Free parking
R. S.
Enjoyed a delicious meal in top class surroundings at The Walnut Lounge restaurant to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We'll be back to stay overnight next time.
J. G.
We had the most amazing Christmas lunch , the food was sensational. Congratulations to the chef and all the servers
T.
From the moment you walk in you are treated like Royalty. The standard of excellence never waivers in any department whether it’s the food, service, comfort, housekeeping or just a sneaky late night beverage in the bar.
F. W.
We really like this hotel, have been here many times , right across the road from the Brisbane Botanic gardens and easy walking distance to Queen St Mall, shops and public transport. Great service and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.
N. E.
A delightful hotel with excellent service and great value for money. This was the perfect spot for a much-needed stress-relieving getaway. We would gladly stay again.
S. H.
The Royal is at the quiet of end of town but within walking distance of Queen St Mall and all the sights. Our lovely room had views over the Botanical Gardens and the river. Dinner at the Walnut Restaurant was delicious and the bar was a lovely area for a drink and rest. The pool was very inviting on a hot day.
All the staff were very efficient and helpful. We recommend staying here.
j. j.
Very comfortable, close to the Botanic gardens. Good bar and restaurant
G. H.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food and service were great. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms are very clean and the view over the park was wonderful.
J. S.
The breakfast was amazing and very filling.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Room service was great.
The rooms are nice a little bit dated but the king bed was very comfortable.
Overall wonderful stay
M. S.
Lovely room. Located in the business district handy to great restaurants and bars.
B. D.
We enjoyed our stay so much we are already planning to come back with whole family this time.
L. C.
Very relaxed place and the staff are very friendly, rooms are pleasant.
S. L.
The older gentleman on reception was exceptionally rude and looked like he wanted to be else where. He mumbled through check in and unfortunately we had him checking out again! He didn’t tell us we needed to book breakfast so we were lucky to get a spot in the morning. we didn’t understand what he was saying as he rushed us through, so we actually didn’t know anything about where anything was etc.. he also Tried to charge me for the kids breakfast when we were checking out! even though it was included in the price.. Definitely shouldn’t be in hospitality! Not what you’d expect when you’re paying for an experience! He really set the tone for our stay. The Rooms are small and very dated. Beds are very comfy and it was very clean. It’s a Great affordable hotel for families and the food was lovely. Breakfast was very generous and we thoroughly enjoyed it. There was towels and soap missing from our bathroom on arrival but housekeeping brought them promptly. Waiters and waitresses were lovely. Overall it was lovely but one night is enough. Pity that guy wasn’t friendly or in the least bit welcoming.
H. B.
Classic hotel with excellent service and exceptional food.
P.
Love it here !!!! It’s our go to every time we are in Brisbane and the service is always fantastic ! Bar downstairs is cute and quaint and the cocktails are Delish! Restaurant is top notch and pool and spa is fab, and to top it off it includes parking versus all the other hotels that charge a fortune! Opposite the botanical gardens for great walks and grabbing coffee as well as a raft of bars and restaurant nearby or hire a scooter
A. K.
Staff are very friendly but forgot my request over the phone several times. Ordered breakfast but no milk to go with coffee. Pillow cases could be replaced as some had old stains on them. I paid for extra bonus but didn't get this everyday. Food in restaurant very well priced and extremely delicious. Very nice bathroom. Room was very quiet. Was ok but not 4 star. Its the detail that makes the difference.
L. h.
What a delight!
A last minute booking was accommodated with grace and a smile. The fantastic park-view balcony room was perfect for my kids who housekeeping were also absolutely lovely to.
A great location, charming staff, yummy breakfast and old world charm.
Looking forward to booking again soon.
K.
I really like the hotel and its cosy vibes. It was not really crowded due to covid-19 restrictions and the prices are well within budget. I hope it comes back to life soon.
J. T.
Had a great stay here. Room was pristine, tidy and clean. Very good value for the size of the room. And great location too. Will definitely be staying here again.
A. R.
A great place to stay for a night, a weekend or much longer.
Right across from the Botanical Gardens, the views are as beautiful as you would expect. Close to the CBD, but far away enough to avoid heavy traffic and noise.
Lovely staff and we'll appointed rooms make staying here a real pleasure.
I must also say the food is excellent. We never wanted to go out to eat because there were so many delicious options available to us.
We loved our stay so much, we became members.
E. A.
Comfortable and modern rooms, kind of affordable too. Located across the road from the park and in the middle of town so everything is within walking distance. The restaurant serves a great breakfast too and if you pre book you save a fair bit of money and time. A great place I'd be happy to stay here again in future.
G. O.
A delightfully elegant old charmer. Nice sized rooms with extremely comfortable bedding. Delicious buffet breakfast. Very well priced. So handy to the riverside restaurants. Do yourself a favour and stay.
H. T.
Love this hotel. Overlooks the Botanical Gardens & great service.
D. H.
Lovely hotel very stylish. Lovely room. The best coffee in bris at the walnut bar. Great location, right across from the botanical gardens which have daily tours and a market every sunday. Lovely swimming pool, although its heated was way too cold for me to swim in, but i did use the spa which was lovely and warm. A suggestion though, maybe some change rooms so you dont have to go upstairs wet in your bathers. Had a wonderful time there. Will def return.only downside is the desk staff and bar staff (bar two lovely female bar staff and 1 gentleman), all really need to learn to make small talk and smile. Sadly no one seemed to be happy and looked like they had no choice but to work. Just a lil smile and a chat would have made our stay perfect. But besides from that we highly recommend this hotel and would love to return one day 5 star :)
J. M.
Stayed in the Executive Suite and loved it so much we've already booked our next stay! Room is a great size, comes with all the amenities you could possibly need and loved being able to order room service in the mornings and have a table big enough to fit it all on. View of Botanical Gardens, the rive and Kangaroo Point is amazing and Hotel is in a perfect spot for walking into the city and nearby restaurants.
L. H.
It's an old hotel which means you'll hear your neighbors doing everything - taking a shower, watching TV, walking around, etc. You'll also hear the loud cars revving up and down the street. Location is good though, staff is friendly enough. The pool is not very big, their spa next to it was out of order and had a bunch of disgusting green water in it
O.
Beautiful view of the park and river. Great room service and food. Stay here regularly, sadly minus a star because of some unfriendly, not helpful staff. However we will be back
A.
Old building but has had some adequate renovations on the interior. The average age of guests staying at this hotel is around 50+ years of age. I would not recommend this hotel to people under the age of 35.
C. A.
Professional, courteous staff and nurturing classy atmosphere. Very welcoming. I have loved the Park Royal since I was a young girl back in the 70's.
M. M.
Beautiful old world style hotel, room was very appointed and with a great view of the botanical gardens.
The food was amazing and well presented.
All of the staff were lovely and very efficient in their service and made us feel very welcomed.
Our two day was very relaxing and enjoyable escape.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates the finer things in life.
S. P.
Fantastic ,great location, great food and the rooms are old school opulence. Free parking a big plus. This will become our place of choice for our Brisbane visits into the future
J. R.
Great place. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds are comfortable. Loved the customised iPad in the room. Everything we needed at our fingertips. Directly across from the gardens and city right behind you. Eagle street pier to the left and South bank to the right.
A. H.
Nice space, not enough seating and steep prices
K. S.
Royal on the Park is always our go to accommodation in Brisbane city. Reasonably priced and parking is included when you book directly with the hotel. Great location across the road from the botanical gardens and not too far to walk into a Queen st mall. The rooms are always clean and bedding is comfortable. We particularly enjoy the bar which has a great selection of drinks and food available. We enjoyed catching up with friends here late on a Saturday night. The staff are always lovely.
K. S.
Attended a small and intimate wedding here on August 18th which was absolutely beautiful. The food was perfect and the service was very impressive. The gentleman looking after us was such a delight as he tended to us all in a professional and sophisticated but relaxing way.
Highly recommend, will definitely return.
Z. S.
A truly magical hotel in the heart of Brisbane thats offers timeless elegance and a uncompromised view of the Botanical Gardens. Beautiful lobby, bar and restaurant. Rooms are spacious with a big king bed, generous sized shower, coffee machine and feature a fun bidet in the bathroom.
M. A.
The hotel was nice and the service was great. The only issue is the prices for these services are a bit expensive
P. K.
Always a pleasure to stay. Service super friendly and attentive. Loved the staff service Buffett. Do glad we could still have Buffett.🙂
R. L.
Very lovely hotel with special toilet seat (like a Japanese) at deluxe room facing the park! Dinner was good as well very attentive staff , 25% off for royal rewards member.
J. B.
The hotel and staff is nice. The room was clean, not as clean as I expected. I was not grossed out by any means. The breakfast is good if you go early. I really enjoyed the eggs. When they tidy the room up they replaced the used consumables and towels. You can request it of course. I enjoyed my stay.
p. e.
The hotel is look old outside, but very clean inside. The staffs are so friendly and you can swim in the big, clean swimming pool. I got discounted price from booking.com. so it's so value for money.
A. L.
Very comfy beds and friendly staff. Rooms are very clean as well
D. B.
I recently stayed here for a 3 night stay for the Queen Concert.
It was my first stepping outside of my comfort zone with my normal go-to 5* hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. The amazing customer experience started from the reservations team, to arriving 90mins before check-in.
My room wasn't ready & being in the industry, I was prepared to wait the 90mins. But the lady at check-in did her best to accommodate me. I was given an upgraded room on a higher floor.
My Premier King Room was very comfortable and had great amenities. The best part was the pillow top bed you just sink into at night - which made it hard to get up in the morning!!
Breakfast was amazing and very filling. The Walnut Bar had a great selection of beers and spirits, which my colleagues were very impressed with.
The location was also very impressive. Everything was within walking distance and the hotel's location is across from the Botanical Gardens.
On a whole, I would definitely stay here again to enjoy the amazing customer experience.& The Walnut Bar.
T. S.
I used to go to stay here all the time when I was little so when I needed to book somewhere for a trip this was the first place to come to mind. I am happy that all the good things I remember about here have remained just as good. The room was spacious, bed comfortable and pillows super good quality. Although parking and dining is a little bit expensive to add on there are still great places around to chose from. The pool is quite large, even if it is freezing to use! The only issue I had was with the towel rail in the bathroom that kept falling down and that the shower sprays into the rest of the room. The staff are so nice, I felt so out of place but they didn't give me a second look. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!
G. D.
My wife and I stayed 3 nights in a premium room. The staff were friendly, attentive and very professional. Everything you would expect from a beautiful and historic hotel. We will be making further bookings in the future. Thank you very much.
P. T.
A lovely old hotel that felt very welcoming and warm . The staff were brilliant . The young girl in the restaurant I think she was Eastern European was brilliant , at our beck and call constantly and service was excellent . Also the staff at the check in desk were professional and polite and nothing was too much for them . I’d stay here again every time I’m in Brisbane .
O. T.
Blonde girl at reception went above and beyond! From little things big things grow.
P. B.
Didn,t stay here but had breakfast ,yum.
d. b.
Beautiful Hotel and very well maintained, luxurious inside. Great location to Queen Street mall, across from the beautiful Botanical Gardens.
Beds are very comfortable, nice pool, restaurantfor breakfastwas lovely. Definitely returning.
M. M.
Awesome hotel. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly. It's a smaller sized hotel for the area but they make up for it in quality being one of the best. Great experience overall. Across from one of the best parks in the world. If you are in Brisbane and want to see lots of wildlife, stay here. The park is across the street!
B. R.
Fabulous in every way. What a beautiful hotel. All staff were helpful and courteous. Room was spacious and pleasant. Food and service at bar and restaurant were excellent. Location was super too, opposite the magnificent Botanic gardens winter I enjoyed the Sunday morning markets.
l. d.
Loved our weekend visit here. Staff lovely. Clean rooms. Great outdoor pool area. Park just across the road.
K. M.
Really impressed with the quality of the accommodation here for a reasonable price point. Our room overlooks the Botanical gardens, is clean and tidy with an amazingly comfy king size bed. We will definitely stay here again.
M. R.
Royal on the Park is true to its name. It's a beautifully appointed establishment. The decor and amenities are well looked after. The staff were wonderful. The food drinks and coffee were all perfect. The room was really clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The pool area was lovely. We will return
K. S.
Amazing food and good customer service, If you are after a hotel that has deep history but reasonably updated facilities and in thevperfect location then this is your place.
They have tried and succeeded to provide both the opulence of its original era with the modern facilities we all want
S. T.
Great location, great price, comfy bed and pillow, and great view. Self contained with its own restaurant, and bar with comfy lounge.
S. L.
Lovely hotel. We have stayed many times, most recently yesterday. This time, sadly, the check in was difficult because of the attitude of the young lady serving. The wifi was rubbish (almost unusable) which is new.... it always used to be excellent. There was no blue cord in the room to circumvent this problem either, so my work schedule suffered a little. Room service has begun to add a $3.00 'delivery charge' (my husband said innocently "where are they delivering from?" when I told him). This is a shame because it makes people disinclined to tip and also means it is difficult to order more than once (don't really want to pay three bucks every time we'd like a snack). A little sad this time. Attention to detail would be great (as was mentioned below) and a welcoming attitude from staff would also be a real asset to this otherwise great old hotel
R. L.
Little bit of "upper class" for a very reasonable price! Within walking distance to everything.
A. A.
Lived up to expectations and generally a very nice hotel. Friendly service, nice old-school atmosphere. Room was cosy, bathroom old and small (but modernized), queen beds big and comfortable. Breakfast was fine, but a bit overpriced for standard hotel fare (kids eat at half price, though). WiFi worked well. Lovely location next to Botanical Gardens.
J. A.
Very nice Hotel. Staffs are very friendly. Free parking onsite. Very nice room with good facilities. Will visit again
L.
Great conference venue. I love the old-style wooden decor that has been maintained very well. The bar has tons of character and is very welcoming - the sort of place you can imagine distinguished gentlemen of yesterday attending. Excellent food and service.
M. D. v. M.
Lovely stay in traditional hotel. With great staff and clean rooms. In the centre of city, but it was also nice to be near the botanical gardens. Would recommend and would stay again.
S. D.
They had magnificent coffee, what more do you need to know? Lol
Lovely, helpful staff, comfortable and clean rooms and a fantastic breakfast.
l. a.
Amazing hotel. Had a lovely room overlooking the Botanical Gardens and could also see the river. Excellent helpful and friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast, loved making fresh juices from all the ingredients supplied. Will definately be back.
A. W.
Our family always enjoy our stay at the Royal on the Park. Our room was beautiful, clean comfortable with a view over the gardens. Nice refurbs since our annual stay last year. Staff are always friendly, whilst very professional. We just love the decor, the atmosphere is just lovely, we feel very comfortable and relaxed here, it feels like home to us. The buffet breakfast is amazing. The location is perfect, and staff do their utmost to accommodate all requests. We stay here every year for as long as I can remember and will continue to do so. Good work people. See you next time.
B. H.
Royal on the park is in a great spot right in town and not to ar from starbucks awesome! It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable however the pillows were a bit to hard for my liking. The bathroom was great and I loved the shower how I could actually reach it of its hinges to wash other parts of my body and the toilets bidaie thing was very fun to have a go with I would definetely stay there if you go to brisbane oh and the staff are very friendly!
H. B.
Good experience and only slight complaints..
It all smelt a tad musky or old in there and the spare blankets are looking passed there use by date. Menu isnt cheap either and tv said Foxtel channels were included but I could never find them.

Excellent location. Nice staff...old school hotel that will make you enjoy your stay.
We had to selected between large number of hotels. This one is just in front of the park. We asked for a room with a view and king size bed and paid extra for that but it was worth it! They gave us treats in the room.
The room is covered by carpets...not my favourite but it was not smelly at all and very clean. The toilets and showers are modern and very clean.
The staff are very kind and professional.
Parking was included in the rate of the room, and the parking was attached to the hotel... we did not need to walk with our suitcases.
They have nice swimming pool, but the spa (hottab) was not the cleanest and the amount of chlorine was disturbing...but not uncommon to these places.
Bar was fancy with good drinks..you'll get the rare rum types from Guatemala or Dominican republic...
Highly reccomend!

Really great stay. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are nice (not the newest hotel, but clean and very well maintained). Pretty great pool and a spa outside. Only lost a star for the limited under cover parking available. That being said, one of the cheapest daily parking rates in the city.
T. H.
Great value for money. For 169 we got a king size bed, good sized TV, breakfast buffet for 2 and parking included. 10 minute stroll to the center of the city. And spent a fair bit of time in the pool and spa. 1pm check-in and 11am checkout was quite generous. The gardens are just across the road and a short walk to get the ferry to Southbank. No complaints from us at all!!

I attended this venue for a day-long professional workshop event, & was very impressed with the quality of the venue throughout my time there. The function room where the formalities were held was spacious & well-appointed, & the food & beverage service during our breaks was lovely. Parking was onsite & easily accessible, & the facilities of the hotel which I saw or used during my visit such as toilets, pool area & lobby area were well-maintained. The general atmosphere of the hotel, & the high-quality, traditionally-inspired decor create an air of sophistication which made it an enjoyable experience. It's definitely one of the better places I've been for professional functions, & I would be glad to visit again in the future.

Second time staying at this hotel and it never fails to impress me. Checking in was easy, we were served by friendly staff members who really valued you and looked after you when checking in and checking out. Room facilities were great for my stay and all up to my expectations would definitely recommend to people

The bar food was enjoyable but we left with a nasty taste in our mouths after the extremely poor attitude of the Barman. After receiving a very surly welcome we actually put him out by asking if he had a wine list for us to choose from and what beer was available. He just pointed with a very disinterested glare. After enjoying the excellent food and drinks we paid at the restaurant desk and as we were walking out the same barman came running after us and asked if we had paid!! very embarrassing for us. Have dined at this hotel many times and have always received excellent service from the staff so extremely disappointing to be treated like this.
V. M.
Love the pool area at this hotel, it's big, plenty of sun loungers and great bar. Elegant room, I liked the old style charm of this hotel. Staff were professional. Located near the Botanical gardens and a short walk to shopping and other amenities.
V. S.
Always enjoy our stay at the Royal on the Park. Our room was beautiful, clean comfortable with a view over the gardens. Staff are always friendly, whilst very professional. We just love the decor, the atmosphere is just lovely, we feel very comfortable and relaxed here. Good work people. See you next time.

The Executive Park Suite is amazing. The room has beautiful decor with a stunning view of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens from multiple glass windows.
It's located a short walk from Queen Street Mall and Pancake Manor and Folio Bookstore. There are also many places to dine nearby.
The main bedroom comes with an ensuite (complete with spa bath, shower and double sinks and toiletries), walk in robe (with hangers, spare linen, bath robes, iron and board as well as a safe)and television with inbuilt Chromecast.
The living area is huge with a desk, radio/ipod/CD player, 6 seater dining table, mini fridge, glassware and ample seating around a smart TV with inbuilt Chromecast.
Overall, the aesthetic of the place is gorgeous and the location and view are perfect. You definitely feel like royalty from the moment you step foot in the building.

Recommend as ideal location for stay in Brisbane CBD. We will definitely be back and recommend to our friends. Rooms are spacious and nicely furnished. We walked across road to Botanical Gardens for river walk. We didn't eat but family and friends who stay there regularly recommend the buffet. I plan to eat there next visit.

Lovely location opposite the gardens. Very clean room, spotless bathroom (including grout), mini iPad, bidet toilet with heated seat, twin room with huge and comfy beds. Really nice food in the restaurant. Great Greatness sms friendly staff. Book direct with the hotel!
C. W.
Have stayed here several times with my partner and we always have a great time. Clean and tidy rooms are always pleasant with extra pillows, good air conditioning, complimentary tea/coffee/toiletries and your choice of city or garden view. Meals are always delicious, staff very helpful and friendly, and room service usually gives us a laugh :) This visit we mentioned it was for my partner's birthday (when asked if there was a special occasion) and they responded with complimentary dessert for her from the a la carte menu! We usually have such a great we find it hard to get up in the morning - except their hot and cold buffet breakfast is too good to miss. Will definitely be back, thankyou Royal on the Park
M. C.
Well situated pin the city. Pool area lovely
V. T.
What a wonderful place to stay. The staff was wonderful the food was fantastic the beds were dreamy ! I absolutely loved the old world classic Style. Will most definitely come back again. And most definitely fully recommend it to anyone !
M. G.
Great seminar location, close to botanical gardens. love the pool and outdoor area. Food is a bit hit and miss, could have healthier, less carbie options. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Seminar room chairs are horrible and will break your butt.
J. M. M.
Great hotel, we love it. First stayed there in 1971. Great location, generous rooms, best to choose a room that overlooks the Botanic Gardens.
T.
This is our second stay at this Hotel and we've loved it both times. We have taken advantage of the breakfast/parking packages at a very reasonable price, with a fantastic breakfast. The hotel is wonderfully situated by the Botanic Gardens and on the free city bus loop. Southbank is walkable via the Goodwill bridge for the moderately fit.
This hotel is elegant yet has a family friendly atmosphere with helpful cheerful staff.
We were very appreciative on our most recent stay to be upgraded to a room with a bath when we made a request , though the rooms are being upgraded , with lovely spacious showers and a bidet , an experience for us aussies.
We've found a Hotel in the city precinct that suits our taste and budget and will certainly be returning.
C. B.
Although a little dated decor (I felt I was in Manhattan in the late 80s) the staff were efficient and friendly. The beds are super comfy and the location is ideal.
T. L.
Lovely hotel, amazing staff. Receptionist was so welcoming and nice. Room was impeccably clean with gorgeous views.
T. M.
We had a room overlooking the city botanic garden which was great. As ***y of us are not getting younger, or more agile, I will be pleased if more shelves and hand-holds could be incorporated into the bathroom updates. Everything was close and the rooms were very comfortable.
r. h.
Cant find anything wrong.
Beds were great would have put one into suitcase if it fitted
L. M.
The room was so clean and elegant. King size bed, also beautiful. The lobby makes you feel like a royal. I'm in love. Only a close walk into the CBD. Great city view from the room as well.
B.
Amazing! Great service and great food. We absolutely loved our seafood platter we had in room that was hot & delicious. The coconut shrimp were great.
T. M.
I stayed at this hotel 25 years ago and I can say that the hotel has improved with age. The location was perfect and so accessible to the botanical gardens, river taxis and the city. Great refurbished room with all the essentials. Thank you to all the staff (Richard, James.Young ladies)for making our week end very pleasant.
T. M.
Thanks for the great hospitality extended during a recent stay for a business conference. Loved the service from Front Desk to Housekeeping and all the staff I encountered. The rooms are comfortable and I always stay in a garden view room to relax in front of the large double glazed windows. Will definitely be back.
S. H.
The rooms are nice and a great location but check in leaves a lot to be desired. 20 minute wait and then far too many instructions to get anywhere
S. L.
The staff was super nice and helpful. The hotel rooms are spacious and very clean! Plus the location is central to all the main attractions in Brisbane. We'll be coming back during our next stay in Brisbane.
D. M.
Only went for dinner at the Walnut downstairs, but it was a very enjoyable meal. Entree was tasty, had the salt and pepper calamari which was nice and crunchy but a little oversalted. The mains definitely made up for the average entree - had the salmon and the ravioli both of which were exceptional. The salmon was so very well balanced with all the elements on the plate. Was really a delight from beginning to end. The mushroom ravioli was divine and probably the best mushroom based pasta dish I've ever had. Dessert was good but nothing to rave about. Wine selection is very good. Service was top notch. Ambiance was pretty good considering its the main restaurant for a hotel. Would recommend
T. P. G.
We highly recommend Royal on the Park. Their staff are exceptional and always go the extra effort to ensure guests have a wonderful stay. We have teamed with Royal on the Park to create Royal Romance, a romantic room transformation service for guests. We have had countless guests celebrate special anniversaries or propose to their partners with this special experience. We value Royal on the Park, for their willingness to do something different and turn a great stay, into something guests will never forget
B. A.
I was attending a course for 2 days. The conference room facility is good. The food however, is very basic. What really annoyed me is that when I asked for a small place to pray they told that I have to arrange a meeting with the manager to book a room and pay for it. I told the lady at the front office that I only needed a small corner to use for 10 minutes and she said I still need to pay for it!
A. D.
Royal on the park is my go to hotel when visiting Brisbane. It's conveniently located near the gardens, city and Uni. The rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. The bar is comfortable with a few tasty items on the food menu. I'm looking forward to my next stay.
P. E.
Can never say perfect but our visit for a one-night stay was great. Across from the botanic gardens was a nice ambience to enter. Our room was very comfortable and ammenities were just what we needed. Outside bar beside the pool gave a nice escape in the heat.
K. C.
Lovely location and atmosphere. Staff very nice, too. At worst, the fittings are getting a little tired, but that's getting picky. As an aside, it would be nice to come across a hotel that actually respected their own towel re-use / water conservation policy - they ALL change your towel for a fresh one even when you've hung it up to indicate you'll re-use it.
B. N.
Great location to get anywhere in the city quickly. Buffet breakfast was spot on every morning especially the coffee flavoured yoghurt. Rooms are neat and tidy and well kept every day. Friendly and helpful staff finishes off a great experience.
C.
Love this Hotel and it's beautiful decor. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The Walnut Room is a beautiful restaurant with comfortable leather arm chairs. Breakfast buffet was included for our overnight stay and it was exceptional.
J. V.
Good value but got bitten by something in bed.
F. G. G.
Awesome location, comfy bed, nice decor. Bathroom was very small and no drain on the floor. Bit stingy with complimentary offers. Reception staff were mostly nice, though one wasn’t very friendly.
M. W.
Ideal location opposite the Botanical Gardens and just minutes from the river with a wide range of boating and eating options along the riverbank. Retains an historical feel with mature wood interiors and big rooms with comfortable beds. Nice pool with plenty of chairs and lie lows
L. W.
Staying here during Commonwealth Games. Very much the tired hotel. In need of a revamp. Only one lift working and we were on top floor! Very slow.
Staff very friendly and overall comfortable stay but the breakfast was poor and poor value. The espresso option didn't work. Food on he buffet was slow to be replenished and when I asked for the scrambled eggto be topped up it was stone cold when it came out
Have seen more and better choices
S. m.
Traditional quality hotel, lovely pool and spa, extremely comfortable bed! Will definitely visit again 👍👍
R. B.
One of Brisbane's older hotels, but a good one! Rooms are spacious and well maintained with clean, recently rennovated bathrooms. Ask for a room looking over the wonderful Botanic Gardens. The location is great for strolling or running/exercise in the Botanic Gardens across Alice St or 2 blocks walk to the CBD or riverfront restaurant district. The hotel has a very passable restaurant and bar, and nice pool. Very helpful staff. Reasonably priced given its CBD location.
M. I.
A very pleasant stay. Beautiful location. Room very nice. Staff were exceptional. We chose valet parking which was $40 per night....but all day and night parking in CBD is not cheap.
My only disappontment was the food. Bar snacks could have been more tasty. The dinner supplied for LibertyFest18 was nothing out of box.
l. l. m.
Royal on the Park is a world class Accomodation. During my four day stay, I found the food excellent and the Staff very friendly. The Brisbane Botanical Gardens just across the street is both relaxing and wonderful enjoying a leisurely wander. kick back beside the lake, with it fountains and large variety of water Birds, in the Center of the City. Has to be seen to be believed!
After just four days it was a memorable experience.
M. H.
Hotel and staff are nice... however, the hotel is dated. The overall decor very 90’s, maybe early 00’s. TVs work when the feel like it, that 720p is glorious to look at in a nostalgic fuzzy way.
Free WiFi is available, sneeze and you’ll hit the data limit, doesn’t accomodate modern user usage. WiFi speed is almost 56k modern dial-up... so... useless. Grandma and Grandpa may find it useful.
Breakfast has been good, nothing to rave about and nothing to complain about.
Room service is ok when they get the meal right. Make sure to use the in room table or they’ll argue ‘YOU MUST HAVE ORDERED WRONG’ protect yourself, check before signing anything.
Parking onsite, however it also is dated. Get a fresh ticket and validate everyday. Limited spots.
2 lifts in hotel. (1 offline during my stay so lots of stairs or wait a long time for 1 busy lift)
Pool area is very nice. Top city location.
Overall I’d expect more from a hotel is such a good location.
D. P.
Will definitely stay again! Beautiful foyer and cocktail bar, Clean rooms/hotel, Comfy bed and great service, even the other guests were pleasant. Right across the street from the gardens and riverstage, with a sweet little market on Sunday! Can't wait to see you again Brisbane!
M. M.
Had a very comfortable stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, shower excellent. It is well located for all activities. I will go again.
J. G.
Fantastic stay - thank you!
L. S.
Excellent customer support. Great price. Conveniently close to the city on foot. Always love my stay here.
B. C.
Stayed overnight at this hotel for a conference and the experience cannot he faulted. We were greeted by an upgrade to a Parkview room that overlooks a lushgreen park. Due to arriving in Brisbane very late, we got room service for the first time. We were not expecting anything amazing but it was good food and the chips were amazing. Next morning, we had buffet breakfast at the hotel and we can't wait to have it again tomorrow- entering was so fresh and the food was well made. The service has been friendly and can't be faulted. Will stay here again in future if we ever need to turn to Brisbane again. Thank you!
M. K.
Enjoyed dinner last week in The Walnut Tree restaurant. The whole experience was impressive, from the warm welcome and attention provided by Ioana, the Host, to the outstanding quality of food. Will definitely be back.
A. S.
Enjoyed the stay. Room nice and clean. Deal online we got $168 for a double room, car park and full breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids! Staff pleasant. Good location. Coming back for sure
b. c.
Absolutely amazing. Happy cheerful staff and a great atmosphere all this and a refined and dignified setting. Perfect!
x.
I just had my formal there and the setting was beautiful. Nice open outdoor areas and amazing ballrooms perfect for the evening. I have heard from friends that stayed there there the night that it was a fantastic and stunning room
T. B.
It was super beautiful, the room was nice and clean and the staff were super friendly! Will be staying again next year.
N. N.
Great hotel in Brisbane CBD. Classic style with excellent service.
Rooms were fantastic and clean. Staff were all super friendly and accommodating.
Included buffet breakfast was great with loads of options.
Hotel is super close to the CBD and just across the road from the Botanical Gardens. Would not hesitate to stay here again!
J. B.
Old world charm and a touch of class. Staff are very friendly and personable. Rooms are clean with all the modern amenities. This hotel is not pretending to be modern, nor does it feel transient, it feels calm and warm.
A. O.
Location, fantastic. The rest is good and clean with a nice bar and restaurant but the hotel badly needs an update. The rooms are tired and stuck in the 90s with very poorly designed bathrooms.
L. B.
I really liked this place. Price competitive yet quality room, nice swimming pool and hot tub, central location facing the park, why go anywhere else?
T. M.
Stayed here numerous times over the years and every time we come back it is even more lovely than the last time. Situated opposite the Botanic Gardens and within easy walking distance of Eagle Street Pier, Central Station and Queen Street …
T. C.
These newly renovated rooms are an absolute steal. You're a few steps away from the beautiful botanical gardens, one Australia's best cafes, the Brisbane River banks. The breakfasts have plenty of variety with fresh fruits as well as hot food and the gym isn't too bad either!
e.
Hotel at great location, in pretty ok condition, parking for 33aud per 24h. Breakfast is good, bit pricey, Coffee is ok. They have an outdoor pool, morning swim recommended. The fresh produce juicer was a great addition to the buffet breakfast!
M.
Higher price range for us personally but we got a deal that included parking and buffet breakfast so it ended up ok. The breakfast was AMAZING-you name it, it is probably there! Everything from make your own juice to sweets to salmon, beautiful.
Our room was nicely presented,beds-one super soft ther other slightly firm.
Only negative was the parking and having to lug bags up small ramp back into back of hotel foyer as no internal entry, minor annoyance really. We stayed here as it was a.walk to riverstage for a concert.
B. “. T. C.
I stayed here with my son whilst attending a concert at the near by Riverstage.
The staff were fantastic and answered all questions and provided assistance with finding eateries etc.
The room and all facilities were very clean and well kept.
I would stay here again with no hesitation
N. C.
A Cosy hotel. Royal is an older hotel with charm, not like some of the uber new hotels with shiny hard surfaces everywhere.
The colour pallet is beige and soft tones.
Location:- Is fantastic. you are right on the city botanic gardens and the views on the park side are just beautiful. The house keeping staff are delightful.
R. O.
Definately going back. A beautiful hotel very old world in decor and service. Well cared for, walnut restaurant was lovely went twice.
m. p.
Nice hotel, clean. A bit too chic for us (family), check-in was a bit slow and no correct name. We did not have our meals here (too expensive). A pitty that the pool is not heated in de winter.. so we went into the jacouzy near the pool, nice warm, a bit too much chloride.
s. W.
We stayed for two nights, we were a little disappointed at first glance as the hotel looks very dated. The receptionist a blonde lady "Ladeli", I think her name was, was very nice and friendly always helpful as was the older gentleman. On our first night we went into the bar for pre-dinner drinks ordered two glasses of red wine $28 in total. The bar tender was the most miserable bar tender I have ever met, "looked like he didn't want to be there". Never smiled or made conversation Our room was clean and quite nice but very old fashioned with very dated pictures on the wall. The bathroom really needs to be updated. The shower is in the bath and has poor water pressure. The main corridors to our room has beige carpet which does not look good quality and there were no pictures on the walls.(very boring) All in all we had an "OKAY", stay with royal on the park. On the upside it is in a good location and the transport system is good, breakfast was really nice, however we don't think we will stay there again just because we think the décor needs to be updated.
H. C.
Nice hotel and good location.
A little dated in areas, but great customer service as the air conditioning didn't work in our first room but we were quickly moved to another room with working air conditioning.
Pool is nice but a bit cold at times.
P. C.
Large rooms very comfortable beds, Great staff and close to a great variety of restaurants, over looking botanical gardens
A. O.
I was there recently for a conference, buffet lunch was included - service was great but food wise, could be better. Had to ask reception for Wifi code which everyone at conference gets 1GB to use but without requesting, they brought codes to everyone at the conference which was great. Even though I didn't get to use the pool, it was clean and water was crystal clear. Quite liked the place in general.
M. M.
Right next to the Botanic gardens and QUT. Rooms are beautifully kept and have a hair dryer. Room service is good and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast is good. Nice pool too. Parking available.
T. F.
A lovely hotel with swimming pool and jacuzzi right opposite the botanical gardens and a short stroll from the shops/resturants.
Rooms are spacious we had two queen sized beds. There is a fridge with tea and coffee facilities. Free wifi. Tv in room. Staff are very helpful, Christopher on front desk helped us book a trip to Lone Pines Koala sanctuary and Chris (female) ensured that we drank enough water. Our breakfast on first morning wasnt up to the standard we expected and so having brought it to the attention of staff the second morning we were given a choice of freshly cooked breakfast, this made up for the day before. Chris served us, she was so attentive not just to us but other guests.
A lovely stay.
S. R.
South Pacific Software Services ran an Advanced Attache Software course at the hotel for a week. Our students came from Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. The rooms, food, and service were fantastic. Our training went off perfectly. The only complaint we have is that I'd say we all gained about 5 kg, as the food was fabulous.
P. S.
Great prices. Great spot close to city. Only one complaint. Even if your staying there you have to pay for parking your vehicle in the motel parking. Staying there it should be free.
M. B.
Great location. Pleasant staff. Bar by the pool. Clean, comfortable rooms. Could do with extractor fan in the bathroom but that's all I could think as constructive feedback.
K. W.
Fantastic location in the heart of Brisbane. Adequate rooms and amenities, everything you need for a comfortable trip.
S. C.
Nice hotel clean comfortable service and a great location only disappointment the gym was closed due to covid restrictions
T. N.
Room was lovely and clean, not impressed having to pay for parking! Ordered a portacot to be put into our room, on arrival told we couldn’t fit one in our room so had to sleep with our two year old between myself and husband! Not much sleep that night!
C. S.
Excellent location. Breakfast is amazing. Very high quality food. Rooms are a bit dark due to lack of lighting. Room service food is very good and reasonably priced.
K. W.
This has to be one of the most luxurious hotels in Brisbane. From the moment you arrive until the morning of departure you will feel like royalty. We managed to secure a special package which was from $168 a night which included free parking, free buffet breakfast in the dining room which consisted of both continental and cooked. The package also included free wifi for multiple devices. (Just be careful with the “from” as we were charged more)
The only thing that lets the Royal down is the room service. It was over $60 for a toasted sandwich, a kids meal (which was actually presented better than the rest of the food) and a dessert for one. It was mainly the presentation that let them down and for $22 I expected the dessert to be something spectacular and I was left thoroughly disappointed.
We will most certainly return, I travel to Brisbane on a regular basis for work.
S. M.
Room was good and very clean. Room service food was delivered within expected time and was very nice. Experience was a bit ruined at the end when there were bar costs on our bill that we had not consumed. Check carefully.
C. E.
Lovely rooms; beautiful, classy hotel. Excellent staff and services. Breakfast buffet is great! Actual free, unlimited WiFi for all guests and a fantastic location!
We love Royal on the park.
M. n.
Fantastic for kids! Sadly the pool wasn't heated but the spa was like a giant bath, as big as a tiny pool, the buffet breakfast was great. My 6 year old niece's verdict? "I'm in heaven!"
M. M.
Loved this hotel, lots of character and very large comfortable rooms.
Staff very helpful.
Beautiful restaurant, quire expensive but excellent food.
J. M.
A Great experience, enjoyed my stay their and the room are brigand spacious
M. N.
Great room, great service and amazing view from the room. Would recommend every time.
T. F.
A very elegant place to stay in the city. Premium park view room was very well presented and the free drink, water and cookies were very welcome gifts.
J. F.
Aesthetically a beautiful hotel but I was kept awake until around midnight by loud music from a function at the hotel. I mentioned this at checkout and the reception didn't seem to care. This tarnished an otherwise lovely stay.
M. H.
Room was great, comfortable bed, clean, everything you could wish for. A great breakfast choice too. Staff very helpful. Thoroughly recommend.
M. _. (.
It was a nice clean hotel but was a little aged. They had just started renovating. We stayed in a room overlooking the Botanic Gardens. I wish there was some balconies to enjoy the outside while we were there.
J.
Best hotel in the world. They take phone reservations. The staff are great, the food is great. They have accessible parking. Get outta here! I know right?
M. K. C. 0.
Excellent place to stay in Brisbane CBD. Close to everything, clean, comfortable, beds Excellent.
C. H.
They upgraded us because it was our wedding night and it was a gorgeous room
M. W.
I stayed here for work, and its a pretty good hotel.
We looked at the rate, and it was around $150 or so, and so we thought it would be a kinda crappy room in a dodgy part of the CBD. We were pleasantly suurpised to find this not the case.
Rooms were nothing fancy, but quite comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast was also of a pretty high standard, with a great selection of hot food, fruit, and pastries.
Location is a big factor here though. It is situated right next to the park, so if you fancy a run or some nature, then you can get it by walking straight out your door. It's also about a $10 cab ride to the South Bank entertainment district, which is pretty close.
Highly recommended
k.
Royal on the Park welcomed my bridal party in on our wedding day so we could get out of the rain and take a moment to relax and unwind before heading to our reception. The service we received was above and beyond anything we ever expected. We were so appreciative of the service we received.
D. C.
Staff are great, building isn't new but the rooms have been updated and are very nice. Great location, in the CBD and overlooking the botanic Gardens.
T. M.
As they say, you get what you pay for. Located opposite the Botanic Gardens and only 15 minutes walk from city centre. All the people we dealt with were lovely. Not over priced makes this a definite place to stay in Brisbane if you want to learn about the history of the area.
C. H.
Excellent location, nice sized rooms and very tidy. Lovely pool. Opposite the gardens, great to look for and see the bird and animal life.
T. S.
Rooms are huge and staff very good, decor a little dated but a great location adjacent to the botanical gardens as the name suggests
E. S.
I am not a man of many words but I've been to Hotels in Australia and this is outstanding. I got exceptionally carried away with the reception area.going to b
If your stay in a hotel is going to be good, it starts from how you are received (welcome) into the premises.
I checked only one room though and the finishing swept we off.
I need to check back and ask for a suite :)
A. A.
Nice and clean. A bit old fashion room and bathroom but still great place to stay. I specially liked the idea of having fresh fruit juicer at the breakfast.
B.
Across the street from the amazing botanical gardens, walking distance to dozens of restaurants of all kinds. Great breakfast buffet. Has been a perfect experience for my wife and me on our honeymoon!
B. M.
Booked in by daughter now living permanently near Brisbane. Nice Hotel but flabbergasted by $33 charge for parking not previously mentioned when booking in. We then had to walk in the rain when returning from car park back to Hotel. Won't stay again!
T. M.
Very old fashioned and not much there. We arrived early and jet lagged our room wasn't ready so to be able to check inI was talked into upgrading to a room over looking the park for an additional $20 per night. We mean it when we say, 'a big thank you to all of the staff.
K. B.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Would stay again.
J. L.
Great hotel big rooms and big swimming pool lovely In the heart of Brisbane CBd. Right next door to the beautiful botanical gardens.
A. T.
Good value for money. Has everything you could expect for a hotel in this price range with a great location. The 5th star is for the super friendly and helpful staff. At every contact they were looking to give great service. Thanks guys.
G. F.
Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, great location. Wonderful stay
A. A.
I booked my boss to stay at the Royal on the Park for a business trip. He said the accommodation was generous and the service from staff excellent. 'The hotel is spot on'. I will definitely book with the Royal again!
G. D.
Old building but room was clean. Had a 4wd and was able to find parking easily on a grassy area by the surveillance camera.
W. L.
Great location, helpful staff, lovely food for work meetings, noisy air conditioners, and no way to open windows, brisbane... ah, well... billy connolly had a point...
L. R.
Lovely hotel located across the park. Beautiful rooms, very courteous staff. Our room included breakfast that was very nice and plentiful.
E. M.
Great location by the Botanical Gardens in the CBD, but it's living on it's former glory days. It is in a fantastic location yet these days it seems full of cheap charter package tours. The owner are obviously not investing in and you won't get the best experience here. It's a place to sleep in the cbd.
L. S.
Beautiful place. Nice clean rooms. Great pool area but F. Y. I. parking is an additional charge of $33 per night.
G. S.
Lovely staff and a wonderful location. Air conditioning in room was extremely loud and annoying.
S. C.
A lovely old world charm with friendly service. In the city but not the crowds, close to all major attractions.
R. K.
We stayed for three nights. We really enjoyed and definitely coming back. Restaurant downstairs serve good food and staff are friendly and efficient. Kids enjoyed the pool a lot.
R. N.
Well appointed room. Helpful staff at check-in. Our room had park view over the City Botanic Gardens. Enjoyable experience.
K. M.
We really loved Royal on the Park. We stayed in the park side and had a great view and you could even see a little of the river. Staff was friendly and helpful and the location is perfect with a short and easy walk to Queen St Mall who could ask for more?. Prices were also good considering the location.
L. S. B.
Best hotel for family holiday
L. B.
I stay here regularly for work, the hotel is always quiet and comfortable with very friendly service. The restaurant and room service is good food for dinner and breakfast. Parking is always super helpful.

A well located, quiet, convenient and very comfortable hotel. Restaurant and bar are better than most. Parking is a little expensive considering lack of security and no lift and 100 metres to the hotel back door.
M. C.
Really lovely staff and food. Great location. Easy access to the mall, southback qnd of course the botanical gardens.
A. B.
We stayed here for Riverfire, great service and clean rooms. They even gave our kids free balls to play with and keep. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!
G. H.
The hotel is historic but could use some updates/renovations. The location is excellent: across from the city botanical garden, which is wonderful, free, and open at all hours; a short walk to restaurants and shopping at the CBD; and convenient to QUT. There are pedestrian bridges both up and down river from the hotel's location which lead to the south shore.
C.
Great location, very close to the Botanical Gardens. It's also an easy walk through the park to the Riverstage Concert area. The views from the room was beautiful & the beer was cold.
b. b.
Free parking..close to pubs..good rooms..won me
W. F.
Stayed there fo a week... as always and enjoy it
Good rooms, cleaning is average quality
Climate control in Brisbane is difficult but I love it here
D. M.
Nice older style hotel that was super swank when new. Good atmosphere. Good service. Good location across from the botanic gardens and only a couple of blocks from the Queen street mall.
J. B.
What a fabulous place! Welcoming staff , great facilities and a beautiful location opposite the botanical gardens. The restaurant here is definitely worth a visit.
K. L.
Stayed a few times on our weekend city fix breaks. Right opposite Botanical Garden and close to South Bank. Easy access to all shopping facilities. Great location. Friendly staff and reasonably priced
C. B.
Friendly staff and always smiling. A very pleasant place to stay.
S. C.
Good location and nice staff. Breakfast was good. Rooms are fine but bathrooms are starting to look a little dated. Would stay again.
N. G.
Excellent room, comfy king bed, room service was yum.
Finally a place that offers complimentary WiFi.
The pool area is really relaxing, and staff are friendly
L. H.
Good place to stay at. At the heart of Brisbane CBD and across the road from the botanical garden.
V. S. P.
Good value for money. Situated at a very convenient location. Friendly staff. The restaurant was excellent; both food and the atmosphere.
A. C.
Love stepping back in time with great service, love the simple yet elegant restaurant and rooms. You can't go wrong and to go for a walk in the park is beautiful, looking forward to my next stay!

I'm here all Friday Saturday and Sunday for Tad James Co NLP Time Line Therapy and Advancd Modern Hypnosis and Therapy fully hands on induction training hosted by the ever amiable Mr Brad Greentree and his wonderful dedicated team of highly qualified volunteer assistants for the whole of the Certification Course of this three day weekend.

I am also proud to acknowledge Lance Roudenko and Roudenko Cricket Academy and coaches in particular Brad (spud) Murphy for Lance's generous support in sponsoring me to get here this difficult in my life and for many other's too I might add as Lance also donates his time every night to ensure his and Brads Daily World Class Cricket Tips get posted usually evenings by 9 pm A ES time. ROTP was aa fantastic establishment, extremely professional and overall a thoroughly enjoyable hotel to stay at for a few days. Great location in the city, my room 258 was very clean and had everything I expected, and the hotel staff were efficient, friendly and polite.
J. H.
Great location and views of the park lands, comfy bed and perfectly clean room. Dinner down by the pool was fantastic, great steak for far cheaper than the restaurant!
J. W.
Great place to stay in Brisbane 10 minute walk from South Bank, easy 2 minute walk to great coffee shops and. Hotel slightly dated but very friendly, good amenities
A. L.
Great location down on the gardens
Definitely not a 4.5 star hotel
Got a shower over bath that leaks into the whole bathroom
Toilet that is pokey stuck in the bathroom at odd angle
Bed is comfy but hotel has an old tired feel about it
M. E. H.
Beautiful elegant venue for business functions. Quaint decor. Lovely rooms. Excellent service. Delightful Restaurant. Definitely a recommend.
H. R.
We had a nice 3-night stay here a while ago. It has easy access everywhere in Brisbane and it's neighborhood. We could go back.
J. L.
Nice rooms. Dated decor, confortable beds however, expensive drinks at the bar, nice pool, coffee machine didn't work and wasn't repaired once the hotel was aware
K. M.
This is an ok hotel at best, the hotel is four star however I feel this was given a long long time ago! Rooms were very clean and service was excellent but rooms were just very old and needed refreshing!
C. M.
Really great service. The staff were lovely and made sure your stay was as great as it could be. Nothing was too hard and it was lovely.
C. 1.
Wanted a coffee. Greeted by concierge upon entry. Helpfully directed to restaurant. Restaurant staff not immediately in sight so had to look for them. Professional restaurant staff. Good coffee. Classy venue.
C. S.
I stayed in this hotel for about 20 days on a business visit. I would begin by saying a Wow!!! The hotel is centrally located in the Brisbane CBD area & you can get the feel of the actual Brisbane city. With cool malls just a corner away like the Queen St., it is extremely convenient to go for a walk, have your lunch or dinner & be back well in time. The botanical garden across the street is a bonus for the visitors of this hotel. I would ask for a stay in this hotel again on my next trip to Brisbane.
N. S.
Nice clean rooms, bath room a bit dated but functions with good hot water. Staff were professional but could lighten up a bit.
R.
Best hotel to live in Brisbane city. offers a big pool and ample parking. Lately very popular among the tourist and locals. Best place for spending time with family.
D. P.
Great location. Nice pool. Awesome staff. Temporary minus: Elevator can get busy as the second one is under reconstruction.
J. M. (.
This hotel is excellent value when compared with other CBD hotels. Look for deals direct with this hotel
B. G.
The location is lovely , close to shops & CBD but opposite great park. Staff were very helpful & the breakfasts were fantastic.
P. F.

N. G.
Incredibly friendly staff members. Room smelt a bit dusty but still a really nice place. Room service is delicious too
N. B.
Classy, a little dated, and expensive. Very comfortable bed, large TV and nice furnishings. Shower could be better but that's usually the case.
J. S.
I was there for a function- easy to find the location, and close to the city. The function room was large, with easy access to bathrooms. Had a feel elegant feel to the function room and the hotel itself
T. W.
Amazing service and nice clean rooms. Very classy and would recommend to all my friends. Also excellent position in the city.
j. h.
Easy to find in the city, great views of the surrounding area. The rooms were great the bed comfortable and food great. Great place to stay in the CBD
R. A.
I was today here, I like this, because I do mobile massage in different places. If you want to do massage you can just find me in Instagram- stronghandsqld or google from my nickname.
H. K.
Good room, great service and big breakfast buffet, good location right on the botanical garden and CBD We had a great time and can recommend it !!!
E.
Actually a 4 1\2 lovely hotel staff are very nice and helpful. Wee half mark off however it's general maintenance but not an issue. Staying for 6 nights
D. R.
Good value for money...Brilliant location & friendly staff. British old-world lodge feel...lots of dark timber veneer. Nice buffett breakfast.
J. S.
Been there numerous times over the past thirty years but despite friendly staff, great pool/spa and various upgrades its lost its 'WOW' factor for me
M.
Great location, comfortable room and good service. Right next to the parklands in the city made it even more pleasant.
J. B.

Y. K.

P. B.

F. A.

Rooms were excellent, beds were very comfortable, staff were very friendly and helpful
I. L.
limited internet use!! (very friendly with a clock counting down to the very last minute you have) and not very fast.
how do i describe this without being unreasonable...
i see internet as a necessity like giving electricity to light up the toilet room you rent in a hotel. imagine that you travel to Brisbane and find your way to Royal On The Park and got yourself a room. you use the room like you typically would in all other hotels you stayed. but a surprise came in later that day that you have only were given 1/5 of the electricity to light up your toilet room and giving a countdown clock telling you how many pathetic minutes left to properly use the toilet.
YES, this is what they do to internet at this day and age. i can understand that back in 1990. but you're telling me this in 2013?
i'm telling myself that maybe this is a small town, different country, different culture, less populated, or just simply a remote town. that is why i get this kind of service. i get full internet access in Melbourne. and maybe it's just a more updated and bigger city than Brisbane.
sad and pathetic. looking at their website proudly showing 4 stars service. so ironic.
C. B.
Great hotel, very classy and clean, friendly staff and great prices, we were sad to leave
P. C.
.Super hotel. Great room, superb beds and pillows. Friendly and well informed receptionists who are keen
B. S.
Middle-of-the-range hotel, recently renovated. Rooms are nice enough, however, the park-side rooms don't have a great view and the internet connectivity is close to useless.
R. L. C.
Very nice. Friendly staff and comfortable surroundings.
D. L.
The room was spacious and welcoming. The breakfast has a variety of choices, and the food is outstanding.
n.
The building is dated on the outside but classy on the inside. Staff have been nice. Breakfast is very good.
T. O.
Beautiful view of the gardens and the restaurant is AMAZING!!!
S.
Have been here a few times. My only concern was the buffet breakfast. When it came down to the hot stuff they couldn't cope with the demand and also plates!
J. A.
Great looking hotel, our room looked into the park right across the road, we were room only for one night but still enjoyed our stay.
D. C.
Lovely hotel, great location, very enjoyable bar area. Very slow elevators
M. d. G.
A great place to spend some time especially if you have some kids with the pool as a nice attraction when it is hot. Heaps of food and drink places around and even markets just at the back of the park.
A. J.
