Good place to have family dinner. Decent price and food. Big serving of meals. It is great especially if you are hungry. I like the chips. Steak is okay. Mum had hers cooked beautifully but my brother's steak is dry and rubbery ~ medium well. Staff is nice :) Watch out for daily deals. It's worth it. My dad is happy on father's day hehe

I have attended this tavern regularly for most of this year (barring lockdowns of course). The last 3 weeks have been very disappointing as far as the quality of the food goes. I ordered a Caesar Salad with chicken, I received a salad with no anchovies, no croutons, no bacon . I complained and was told it was all there, when clearly, it wasn't. Even the server at the bar said he didn't like the way it looked and sent it back. The next week I ordered a fishermans basket (special) it was ok, with 1 scallop, 3 fish bites and a piece of fish. This week I thought I would order something that couldn't be stuffed up so I ordered the spag bol. It arrived, looked ok, I went to take my first mouthful, it was stone cold, fridge cold. I took it back and received a very disbelieving look from the server. I got my spag bol eventually, warm, BUT I should not have to send food back 2 weeks out of 3 at all. It makes me sad that this happens because it makes for a very unpleasant experience.

Eye fillet with mash spud and veggies and mushroom sauce- delicious!! Bit of a wait, but can understand why when the meals are good. Always friendly service, simple menu for drinks and food but keeps it easy.

Disappointing but then not unexpected. Sports bar smelt of old men. Was hoping for a bright fresh bar but it was not to be. Didn't eat so can't pass commentary on the food but the beer was cold...

Went in for a few drinks yesterday afternoon-amazing service from Nicola :) She made sure that everyone signed in and did everything Covid safe - with politeness and humour. I've found the table service at other places slow, but not with Nicola :)

I had the pleasure of going there for lunch today with my parents for the first time. We found the menu board very easily after entering and it was detailed well with a wonderful selection on offer and at great prices. In under 3 minutes we had ordered our food and drinks and were advised the meals would be out shortly. In about 15 minutes yet another friendly lady came with our meals which were large in size but not over loaded on the plates.The meals were cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. My parents had the Lasagne and Rissoles with vegetables and I had the Chicken Marsala and veges. They were all delicious I would happily eat there weekly and would recommend this place to everyone Thanks to all the staff see you next time.

Driving up to the pub it was not all that impressive. it looked run down and tired. Inside was not much different unfortunately. The food was average pub grub. The menu was small. The upside was the Staff were lovely. Would not go back unless they touched up the inside and revamped the menu.

Great pub. Good food at a reasonable price. The gaming area is open till 4am. Staff are very helpful and always seems to be around when you need them. Excellent management.
