S. S.My family had an extended stay at the Canberra Carotel Motel in January 2021. We stayed in the two bedroom spa villa. The villa was very spacious, and clean. The kitchen had all the necessities and the spa was wonderful. The stand out about this motel though is the amazing staff that went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable during our stay, a special mention and thank you to the lovely Anna.
The surrounding environment is lovely, lots of kangaroos around. I would recommend a stay, especially families with young children that require space.

We were locked out of the ACT due to shut down of the boarder to the ACT for Sydney residents. I had booked through bookings.com and they decided that a 100% cancellation fee were in order. (Boy what a way to make things more stressful).
Karen, Bob and Jess were all really wonderful during a stressful period and thankfully helped us out by appealing to bookings and secured me a refund.
I want to thank the team for their efforts and while we didn't get the opportunity to stay I will definitely make our next stay with them. If this is the service you receive and not be a customer I can only imagine that they will be amazing when staying for a booking.

Cabins were openly styled but homely. Air conditioner was bad at keeping all of the heat of our cabin warm. We froze overnight because it thought that our room was warm. Even though we set it to 28 degrees Celsius. Food was ok. Flavourful but presentation wasn’t the winner. Cereal was stale. Chairs were quite cramped into others. Please make it more spacious in the dining room you couldn’t get out of your seat. The meeting room was ok but not great for watching a movie as a group of school students. Overall, I found the stay quite good. The chefs were very nice. I would come here again if I was desperate. Thanks for making a good experience Carotel!
A. W.Fantastic and accommodating staff. Rooms are a good size, and equipped with just about every thing you could need. Could do with an interior paint touch up, but it's no big deal.
Affordable, comfortable and with a pool, the kids have been very happy!
D. R.My husband, myself and family all stayed at the Carotel hotel. The rooms were comfortable, clean and great value for money. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The location is a little out of town, but there are plenty of shops and restaurants a short drive away. The outdoor facilities were very disappointing, and the reason for only giving 4 stars. The BBQs were dirty, the outdoor chairs all covered in bird poop, and the table filthy. The pool was closed due to cold weather, even though the days were 22 degrees! This made it harder to take advantage of the beautiful setting.
F. W. (. S.I went there for a school excursion once and it was pretty good. Luckily we got to stay in the new villas and it was honestly, really nice. The food was pretty bad though, and I heard from one of the students that one of the waiters took her plate before she was even done. There was good heating which was good because we went in late May and it was absolutely freezing. Overall I'd give it a 4/5 stars.
M. R.It was ok the place its self was good but we stayed in peak time so they charged us $2600 for 4 night for 6 single beds and 2 sofa beds in a cabin. The staff were great but the price was crazy and we will not book again

a. s.Very nice and clean cabin, well maintained and with good kitchen, beds and sitting area. Will definitely stay here again - perfect for a family overnight stay in Canberra. The kids really liked the very big swimming pool.
C. C. F.I went on a school camp and the cabins we stayed in had a well working TV and a nice little kitchen as well as a table for 7. I noticed that the bathroom tiles were a little bit grotty and the basin cabinet had chipped paint however I was quite surprised by the fact that their was a seperate little shower and room in the bathroom. There was also (ovbiously) a toilet and there was a great amount of storage space under the sink. There was a really cute pink bin🤗 I recommend bringing your own water as the water there tasted a bit plasticky but it was totally drinkable. Now for the bedding...the sheets were clean however they were not at all comfortable and I ended up using my own blanket. There was also a little cupboard space and some shelves which I really appreciated. There was also a mini fridge and clean towels on each bed. The price was great!😆🎉‼️
M. D.We stayed in a2 bedroom cabin. It had all you would want for a family with kitchen, bathroom, when in one room and single plus bunks in another. I think the couch folds out too. It was a little worn but fully functional. We paid $210 which is probably about the right price for one night.

K. M.The rooms at Carotel didn't cost much but we were positively suprissed. The room were big and clean and you even have a little kittchen in it. You also have a free parking lot infront of every room, which was important for us because we came with a rental car and finding a parking lot in Australia which is free is very hard. The ladies at the reception were nice and helped all they could. We recommend you to stay at Carotel.
P. H.We were in Canberra for a boys trip and we ended up staying in carotel... The cabins here are wonderful and has all the facilities available.. It is just 10 mins away from city to quite convenient.. The staff here are very friendly and they have maintained this place very well... It's amidst the nature with a mountain setup which we loved... We will Definately be back here soon..
