This is a good place to stay. It's quirky, individual and isn't your usual stacked boxes type hotel. There is a deliberate lack of uniformity to its design, so if that makes you uncomfortable you'd probably be better off at a more conventional cookie cutter hotel. The room I stayed in was a good size and not squishy, and neither was its bathroom. It was a little chic but not garish. The bar area near the lobby felt tucked away and was pleasant to drink at. Staff were friendly too. A comfy stay in a quirky environment at a reasonable price. You could do worse.

Had a wonderful experience at the peppers. Unfortunately was tested positive while my stay here, although all the staff including reception and housekeeping guys were were warm and nice to me.
Special thanks to Brittany. She was very kind and amazing

Quiet, fairly central location. Room well appointed, if a little awkwardly designed. Didn't use hotel facilities so no reviews on those. Some very minor issues, some I didn't have time to try to resolve, nothing overall worth not staying there.

PEPPERS GALLERY HOTEL & BICICLETTA RESTAURANT
(EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE & SIMPLY AWESOME STAFF)
In over 40-years of travelling the world and moving through some of the best hotels and restaurants, I can count on one hand experiencing exceptional individual restaurant staff that left a lasting impression.
In the case of Peppers Gallery Hotel & Bicicletta Restaurant my personal experience went to a completely new level. Having spent two days in a management retreat in one of Peppers Gallery Hotel Private Dining/Meeting Rooms, this experience started in reception, then our being served for 8-hours of meetings from breakfast, lunch and dinner through catering by Bicicletta, right down to how invited guests were shown to our meeting room by staff.
Without exception every member of Peppers and Bicicletta's "friendly" staff lived up to the message on the Bicicletta chalk board, we simply had to take a picture of the message as a reminder of our time there, as posted in this review.
Every one of the staff without exception were engaging, friendly, loved their work and took pleasure in serving us. None of it was manufactured, and incredibly was true of every single staff member we engaged with from the Bicicletta Restaurant Manager, waitresses and down to each member of staff behind the bar and main counter.
The challenge became finding someone that was not genuinely friendly. Personally living by the integrity of "If you make a commitment when you advertise, then the clients will only stay loyal if you deliver on the words, living by your walk and example", it was so refreshing to see words so well delivered in the actions of all staff seamlessly working together as one team.
The level of engagement was never overstepped, yet it was constant so we were never left to wait. The incredible bonus is that the food itself over the two days could also not be faulted. As extremely over the top as all of this sounds, none of this is exaggerated, and I am in no way an easy mark for a positive rating. Moreover I rarely post more than a photo.
The private Dining/Meeting Room facilities are exceptional, or simply go and treat yourself to a friendly and welcoming night out dining at Bicicletta, judge it for yourself, it is well worth the experience in everything that is post Covid19 and affecting all of our daily lives.

Great space, sat outside in a shady spot, plenty of outside and inside tables.
Great food, great menu and very good service

Good service but not having daily room keeping is just another way of using corona to save money probably. Don't understand how is that for protection, as the same room keeping people clean the room an hour before every guest arrival. Also wasn't informed of not having room keeping when booked or when checking in.
Rooms are good, nice reception area and good location, have to go through uncovered areas to get to parking (which is like 4-5 mins walk from the hotel with 5 different locked doors to go through), more signage to the parking would be very useful. Even inside the parking no exit signs.
The highlight was the attached Italian restaurant 'Bicicletta', very good food from entrees to mains to dessert.
C. W.
Rooms very small, older style building that has been painted to make it look trendy.
Shower had poor screen so water went everywhere.
Even though they supplied tea and coffee, there was only disposable cups. Too bad if you want more than one cuppa throughout your stay.
You had to use this same cup to brush your teeth.☹️
Much nicer larger places to stay in Canberra for same price.

The rooms are very clean and stylish. Had the privilege of checking out the new restaurant menu, and it was amazing. Love the italian inspired meals. Staff was amazing. Had the most amazing experience and Fantastic honeymoon.

Great place, really good atmosphere where old meets new. The service we got was brilliant and the room we was lovely and spacious. Also highly recommend Morning Glory for breakfast which is with the Hotel.

Not a bad experience considering the impact of Covid to the hospitality industry in Canberra. But I still expect:
1. No spider web in room.
2. A better mattress (I am sure the one on my bed was "over-used" instead of "soft").
3. Welcome drink, even a bottle water is fine.

I stayed in one of their apartments, which is seperate to the main hotel and is a mix of private & hotel accommodation. The apartment was very spacious with lots of natural light and a balcony overlooking the side alley & gardens . Everything was clean & tidy , only thing that let it down was the outdated furniture - circa 2005 Batchelor pad kind of vibe , but it was still very comfortable. What made the stay most enjoyable was the outstanding service. From the initial welcome & check in , assistance with my luggage and complimentary water , treats and Prosecco and even a little welcome note, the care they take with their guests is very commendable & appreciated.
Great location- able to walk to restaurants, cafes and cinema.

Good place to stay. Solid four star accommodation. Location’s good although car parking can be tricky without a bit of thought. You can walk to many places from here though. Rooms are good here too. The rooms aren’t perfect though. The fundamentals are sound. Good bed. Good pillows. Good functioning bathroom. The silliest thing is picking the style over substance things. The designers obviously won the renovation battle as there’s too many things that look good but work pretty ordinarily. We had a few favourites. The sloping table where drinking glasses slipped probably won the day.
The staff were good here. Every interaction we had with them was excellent. They knew their stuff and were very very pleasant and efficient. You can do no better.
See my separate review about the restaurant attached to this hotel. It’s awful for dinner - it has very ordinary and grossly overpriced food - but it’s terrific for breakfast.
We’re easy to please though and we’d certainly stay at this hotel again.
M. C.
Great service and very comfortable accommodation. We had a two bedroom serviced apartment with secure parking and everything was very new, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was quite average though, I’d skip it and go to one of Canberra’s amazing cafes instead.

I had occasion to stay at Pepper's earlier this year. I found its relaxed atmosphere very charming and the location was very good for walking to a number of Canberra's tourist destinations. Cycling around the lake is also enjoyable.
The hotel was clean and the room I had right at the end of the corridor was well equipped and of a good size. I had a problem with the key card, which i went to reception to about. Immediately one of the staff on duty came with me to fix door and it worked perfectly from then on. Some of the decor is a little quirky and somewhat dark, but the room gave an overall feel of comfort.
I would certainly stay here again.

Lovely hotel, comfy beds, nicey, spacious rooms and fairly quiet however not having their own parking was a negative for me as I had to park offsite a few mins walk away. Bathroom was lovely although the tap positioned right on the edge of the huge sink rather than in the middle was ridiculous and made it difficult to wash your hands without making a mess.
R. P.
Reception and check in was done quickly and professionally. The room, King size bed is well appointed and clean. Room service as well as bar service for by well trained friendly staff members. Good is great the antipasto is recommended especially outdoors. I will definitely book another weekend soon
T. L.
This place is stunning!! Great hotel, beautiful room, amazing bathroom (with a shower to die for). Restaurant is amazing. A bit pricey, but worth it.
My only critique is that because the internet was down, we had no TV channels, other the price was perfect. We'll definitely be back.
S. N.
Average - the rooms are spacious and clean same goes for the bathroom.
A major downside is the parking.....I had to park my car two blocks away and had to borrow a key card from reception and return it after I took my car out every single time. Very inconvenient.
T. H.
Wonderful hotel, great central location, short walk to Canberra Centre, theaters, restaurants etc. Very well priced and great value. Rooms are great, comfy bed, fantastic bathroom. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking was smooth and very secure. Will definitely stay again.
E. P.
Room was good, comfortable bed and friendly staff. We were disappointed with the buffet breakfast.. we arrived at 9.30 (closes at 11) so we thought we had plenty of time to eat. Although to our surprise and disappointment the buffet was well and truely under stocked. Hot food on offer was a couple of hash browns, 3 wedges of tomatoes, and couple of spoonfuls of mushrooms. Wasn’t expecting this at a 5 start hotel ..
M. C.
Good location, within walking distance to all the action. Modern and comfortable rooms, albeit on the slightly compact side of things (for such an under populated and sprawling city). Parking is an issue though, so if you want to sleep in past 7am (incl. wekends) it's worth opting for the $15 / day ticket offered by the hotel.
N. C.
One night stay on a weekend. Hotel is fitted out nicely, though the corridors and bathrooms aren't heated so can get very cold! The bar and cafes in the place are great, but the parking is a difficult and complicated process for something that should be simple. Overall good but lacking polish
T. M.
I really like this hotel situated in an older building but done up very nicely. Good location to sites. The area is lovely. There was a small, well equiped grocery and cafe nearby as well as a great bakery and a selection of cafes and …
C. P.
Lovely hotel in a great location in New Acton. The on premises restaurant and bar are very good and while not cheap are certainly not outrageous. The staff are very friendly and helpful and quick to say hello. We had stayed here years ago under a different hotel brand and Peppers have definitely taken it up a level.
B. A.
Staff were very friendly and made the checkin/checkout process easy. I was also very satisfied with the room service food. Nice bathroom and always appreciate black out curtains!
P. C.
Clean, well appointed rooms with nice and spacious bathrooms. It is a little bit of a rabbit warren finding rooms because of the older structure. The woman at the front desk was very kind and helpful.
R. E.
Comfortable 3star hotel. Only standard size beds, in small rooms. Noise air conditioning. No heated floor in shower room. Lack of towel rails or hanging space in shower room. Large wardrobe but poorly arranged, most of the hanging space taken by ironing board. Rooms could be so much more with a little consideration to the layout and design.
S. G.
A unique hotel in a lovely old building. The rooms are a good size and tastefully decorated. The creaky floors add to the character of the place and help give it a sense of history. Good location but the non existent parking is a pain. I'd suggest parking in the Wilson open air car park 100m down the road.
G. C.
We stayed one night at Peppers Gallery hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, including a pod-style coffee machine. The room and the bathroom were spotless and artfully laid out. The hallways are a little dark, or perhaps atmospheric, but other than that our stay was quiet, comfortable and the service was excellent. There is some free street parking (until 8:30am or 9:30am) and they have secure underground parking for an additional fee. And they have free wifi - which is a big plus. We would definitely come back!
M. F.
Lovely rooms, friendly staff, warm and cosy, close to everything I needed to, easy to deal with, thank you :)
T. P.
Fantastic place to stay. Grab an escooter and head into the city for a good meal. Concierge were great at offering restaurants as well! They did well given COVID.
A. B.
Stylish and comfortable rooms, “peppered” through a strange rabbit warren of corridors and stairs. Surrounded by restaurants in a chic part of town. The bar and reception staff are attentive, but the restaurant staff sometimes seem distracted, particular when it gets busy and noisy.
T. G.
Didn't do much wrong
I don't stay in a lot of hotels, but when I do I always find it's easy to be critical of them. But Peppers does quite a few things right. They had very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. The rooms were simple, but fairly pretty - lovely wallpaper on the roof, a good control of light in the rooms with both lights and windows. The bathrooms were pretty new looking. It is in a nice part of Canberra too, and close to lots of things. The beds were comfortable.
We had the opportunity to stay in a cheaper room, and then a deluxe room. Although the deluxe was only $10 more, I would stick with the cheaper room. The only differences were the ordinary room was smaller (but its bathroom was bigger) and had one less chair (and a log). The ordinary room had a better design, better light control, a better bathroom, a better shower head, and held warmth better. One problem was the cheaper room was closer to the hotel's restaurant/club, which stayed quite loud well into Saturday night. There is very little sound control in the rooms. The TVs and DVD players in both rooms were on the dated side. The hotel's DVD collection has titles ranging up to about 2011. Apparently the hotel offers parking at $15 per night, but the staff suggested helpfully that there is a fair bit of free parking on surrounding streets on weekends and evenings (though they didn't say that Saturday nights it is all full up till well into the night).
We paid a discounted price on their ordinary prices (about 33% off) and I think this was about the right price for this hotel (although in my experience Australian hotels are universally overpriced compared with other countries). Their restaurant and bakery are both pretty heavily overpriced (again, like every Australian hotel), and there are a good number of very nice places for eating that are better value.

Family Apartment 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Lots of space for 4 adults, a toddler and a baby.
Beautiful views from every room. Verandah that was lockable with a key to ensure safety for children. Comfortable beds and crisp linen. Plenty of towels.
Disappointing lounge that needs immediate replacement. Sank beyond belief. A few too many cobwebs in corners on the high ceilings.
P. G.
Overall, a pretty good place to stay. However, there was a feeling of it being slightly undercooked. Some minor things that you'd normally were missing or were out of place. E.g. the room seemed to be fully equipped with a coffee machine, kettle, coffee pods, tea, sugar, but there where neither cups nor teaspoons – only glasses. Try to make yourself a cup of tea in a glass fearing it'll crack under boiling water and good luck holding it in your hands...

The welcoming experience from reception was a disappointment despite to purchase the car-park we were ask to vacate the guest drop off within 20 minutes.
The passages on the ground floor have a very dark decoration, which make it a bit creepy. A better lighting would improve the ambience. Be prepared to pay for the car park, not always are space available.
The room was Ok.
A. M.
Beautiful hotel in Canberra's trendiest suburb. My allocated room was a disappointment after my last visit. The upper storey spaces are distinctly bigger, with nicer decor & ceiling murals unique to each room. By contrast, I was given a ground floor room - plain ceiling, no balcony, tiny bathroom & DARK BROWN walls (!).
T. M.
I has to sit out in the bar area with the 'lovers' and the table I would have preferred was not available because 'I would get in the way of people walking', but it wasn't in a walkway. The room was more than comfortable, it was cosy. Hotel is confortable and well fitted out and i'll definitely use again when next in Canberra.
A. L.
More of bed and breakfast really. With very limited menu. Small rooms and bit shabby gallery. In all honesty, Canberra got few decent places. Reception is sweet thou!

Love love LOVE this hotel!
Me and my partner went here for our anniversary and loved the location of the hotel, a nice walk to the main part of town, and the hotel is just amazing, the furnishings all around the hotel are quirky and cool, then the room is so beautiful, it is clean, it smells fresh and nice ,all the furnishings are new and in perfect condition, it does not have that dirty old feeling most hotels have,it has lots of windows so it is light and airy, and has thick black curtains for when you want darkness,I especially loved the wallpaper on the roof.
We stayed in a room with a bath, perfect for a romantic night, the bathroom is really nice, however the one only negative point I have is that the bathroom door is French door style and there is a small gap in the middle of it, and the toilet is right is eyesight when you look into the bathroom
we will definitely be staying here again!
K.
This place is really good value for money. For the rooms anyhow, the food and wine are too expensive. Dinner was fabulously cooked meat, but the dish was not enough to justify $30+. Smart clean rooms for the most part, staff friendly if a little inexperienced. Great location, some excellent nearby breakfast options, and right on the lake bike paths
D. B.
The hotel is located in a quiet part of Canberra and is about a 15 minute walk into the CBD. The rooms were tidy and had everything you need. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall was a great place to stay.
C. S.
Located at New Acton this hotel was great for a overnight business trip. Room was OK but was tight if a couple were staying for more than a couple of days. I have not seen a room with an automated mini bar fridge that automatically bills you if you remove items. It was disappointing that the bar closed at 1030 even for guest but there you go.
T. M.
The property and surrounds are nicely refurbished. There is a huge gap in the middle of the door and not only is there no noise insulation. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the centre and an easy drive to Capital Hill. We had to wait until we got back to Sydney the next day.
M. A.
The staff at reception were wonderful and added to a relaxing stay. A convienient location and very comfortable. We've stayed at much dearer places in Canberra and were very pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended.
A. L.
Expensive for what it was. Staff were wonderful and our room was lovely, the bathroom was beautiful but our room faced the traffic lights so privacy was a little bit of an issue and the bathroom was SO extremely cold (we stayed in July so hard to get warm in Canberra!) that even showering I was shivering.
O. L.
I have stayed here a lot in 2015 and it once was great but the standard has been declining to the point where I will be looking for somewhere else in 2016. Cleanliness needs to be improved. The bathroom sinks and showers also all seem to leak water onto the ground in most of the rooms.
L. S.
By far the best hotel rooms I have stayed in throughout my time on the road for work. Great Wi-Fi, clean suites and pleasant service. Only minor issue is that the layout of the hotel can be tricky to figure out and memorise. Otherwise great!
L. B.
Someone buy the poor cook a decent toaster. Eggs on bread doesn't work. And you can't hang a full length overcoat in the wardrobe cube provided. Great bathroom, comfortable bed. Moody black interior, but Canberra seems to favour moody black. Each to their own.
B. T.
Always a friendly welcome when you arrive. My regular stay in Canberra. The location is great being within the New Acton precinct. Easy walk into Civic and close to the lake for a morning or afternoon walk.
Rooms are consistently clean and tidy (albeit a little dark).
There are a number of restaurants nearby that are a good choice if eating out, or get room service from Bicicletta right in the hotel - great pizza and pasta!
K. B.
Would have been even better, but for the inconvenience of Covid (no daily room maintenance, no breakfasts (that said, the hotel staff bent over backwards to help with any requests, such as extra coffee pods etc). The rooms were smart, modern and comfortable. Loved the ambience, sculptures and art. Close to the city, ANU, and good restaurants.
T. K.
Staff are wonderful and the rooms are a great mixture of heritage with modern conveniences.
Z. R.
Great place, fancy dining menu, comfy bed.
Great location within a few minutes drive to civic center. Parking on street is not advised as 2 cars were reversed into by other cars while they were parking. The underground carpark is a fair hike across the garden to get to and from your car (isnt under the accomodation). Quiet lovely bar, great atmosphere.
A. P.
Gr8 room gr8 service the only thing was my card keys were finicky got them re scanned twice and they still were annoying to use. The TV reception was really bad asked them to have a look at it as I was just for a night away from the kids to relax and chill. The next morning I heard people cancelling there next night cause of the tv reception. But it was a super lush hotel really modern and clean
T. M.
The Hotel is modern interior inside an older exterior. Very comfortable bed. Fair enough our room was the cheapest. The television was from the dark ages. I stayed at the Deluxe Room with Bath. The hotel was very close to the Floriade and the city which made our stay convenient.
R. M.
Great room, i like the rainfall shower head. It's refreshing to come back to the hotel room after a long work day.
The italian restaurant was also amazing, had pasta and pizza over 2 days and it was delish.
4 stars because of the noise from the hall. It kept waking me up till late at night... Even the noise of people passing in the corridor was loud as if they were in the room. A bit more sound insulation would make a world of difference.
I. F.
New modern hotel walking distance to restaurant district. Nice room, friendly service and own garage parking for additional fee. Restaurant service focussed on corporate customers so beware large noisy parties decending without warning!
B. C.
Although the website seems to focus on the modern architecture and urban chic style the building and rooms are quite old. I had no reception for my cell phone (Telstra) in the hotel and wifi constantly dropped making business teleconferencing exceedingly difficult. The proximity to downtown and the friendly staff are about the only things positive about the hotel.
M. S. Z.
In Canberra's central business district's lively NewActon precinct, this chic, art-themed hotel is 1.8 km from the National Museum of Australia and 3.9 km from the National Gallery of Australia.
Contemporary rooms are individually furnished and come with free Wi-Fi, room service, Bang & Olufsen flat-screen TVs, as well as iPod docks and original artwork. Upgraded rooms feature sofas and/or bathtubs. Suites add separate living rooms, while 1- to 3-bedroom apartments have kitchens and balconies.
In addition to a modern Italian restaurant with a courtyard, amenities include a bar, a sculpture garden, a gym and on-site parking.
H. P.
I spent a weekend in this hotel with my partner.
We loved it! The staff was friendly, the room was very stylish, clean and with everything you might need.
We will definitely go back again!
T. M.
I used to live in the ACT and always thought that this is the place I would stay upon return for short visits. The service at the bar was friendly. The room was comfortable but again the dark décor was a bit challenging. Price and perfor***ce are in great balance.
S. G.
while some of the hotel rooms are a little small the apartments are great. nicely designed and comfortable. plenty of storage and a good couch to watch tv. nicely decorated.
S. B.
Nice rooms and comfy beds. Did not have doona on bed so was cold. Tasty room service and amiable people at the front desk. The buffet breakfast was poor and the cafe service was slow.
M. B.
Beautiful rooms and good location. There are 3 restaurants / cafes in the same building (Bicicletta, Morning Glory, and Parlour), and across the street is the Palace Electric cinema as well as Monster restaurant. Walking distance to other eateries on London Circuit.
D. R.
I've been coming back for years now to this awesomely quirky Hotel set in an "old" (for Australian standards heritage / antique) Admin Building from the foundation times of Canberra. It's in the hip centre of NewActon with a bunch of trendy and acceptably priced restaurants & bars as well as a stonethrow from the lake (well, it's Canberra, so nothing is really far from anything). There are a number of rooms to choose from and the decor is engaging and timeless. (Makes you actually want to stay IN the room). Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Highlight were the free new release movies! Like Arnie said: "I'll be back".
T. M.
Good stay in a location that is quite convineient if you work o teh west side of the city. Location convenient to ANU and Civic. We has to park around the corner in what they said was secure you used a swipe card to get in however you just drove out.
T.
Staff go above and beyond, 5 stars for service! Candice in particular has been great and very accommodating. Also compliments to the chef food is amazing! Highly recommend staying with here.
D. F.
Good place. Tastefully decorated, well-equipped, comfy and quiet rooms. Breakfast restaurant service can be a bit hit and miss, appearing understaffed when fills up a bit.
s. l.
Lovely stay, quiet and great walking distance! Front desk staff warm and friendly.
The restaurant downstairs is also very nice!
B. S.
Absolutely wonderful ! Easy to find and was central to everything we wanted to see and do. The accommodation was clean, tidy and value for money. Peppers staff were friendly and helpful.
N. B.
We stayed for two nights over our wedding anniversary plus I had an ankle that had recently undergone surgery. Everyone went out of their way to look after us - on arrival, at the restaurant etc. I love the quirky styling of the place and would definitely recommend.
J. H.
Quirky design elemnts with good old fashioned customer service. Rooms are comfortable with modern bathrooms. Fantastic dining and drinking options within walking distance, and the New Acton precinct is at your doorstep. A great place to stay when in Canberra.
M. S.
The smartest of the renovated old public servant lodges from the 1920s. Nifty modern fitout, great bathroom but still with original say windows that open. Nice precinct also, quite lovely by Canberra standards. Short ride into Barton if you are on Cth business.
O. R.
What you'd expect for a place of this price. Tidy, some fancy flourishes to live up to the gallery in the title. Small bar in the hotel that's a bit dark and quiet but there's a more happening venue out the back.
C. D.
The place is a little outdated. Got a good rate so couldn't complain but for normal regular prices the place needs an upgrade. Some staff are friendly and others not so much. The breakfast is average.
D. D.
Nice staff, great location. Parking is not easy but lovely room
S. R. 4.
Nice rooms. Close to most of the sights. Biggest killer is lack of parking. The Hotel itself only has some that it charges extra for and overnight parking around the area is tight. Otherwise a great boutique hotel
A. W.
Nice rooms and friendly staff, noise insulation from the hallway could be improved. Parking is off site at BreakFree which is a minor inconvenience. Location is great for a short walk or drive to attractions.
K. J.
Crazy expensive for what are pretty small and dark rooms. The internet speeds are straight from 1994 and their in-house tv system didn't work the whole time we were there. Not much to say good or bad on the service but all in all a pretty lacklustre showing from Peppers who I would have expected more from.
S. K.
Beautiful Italian style hotel, good Western breakfast and well designed spacious rooms! The gym was shared one with an apartment. Was not open.
J. “.
Was a great experience from arrival to departure. Soojin at reception was very friendly & professional. She had some great recommendations on local restaurants & attractions. Highly recommended.
M. M.
Nice small hotel not too far from APH.
Rooms are spacious and well set out and comfortable. Bathroom was big and clean.
Cafe was small and menu disappointing,
R. S.
The hotel was nice, possibly recently renovated. Room was spacious, bathroom was modern. Complimentary tea and coffee. TV in room was old, small and shirt resolution.
J. C.
Simple and comfortable.. Had to stay here for a nearly month whilst in Canberra for work, room was very nice to come back to after busy days.. Restaurant served excellent food downstairs
F. B.
Quiet location just out of CBD, near national museum, but easy walk to city centre. Onsite restaurant is also available to the public. Reasonably priced meals and service is quick with generous servings.
m. c.
Simon and his team were amazing. Great service all thoughout the property. Dinner was amazing. Thank you
S. M.
I stayed at the one bedroom apartment at the hotel. Good rooms very clean interiors. Good service as well. Courteous staff.
W. H.
A great hotel! The rooms are well set out and you feel as if you have space. The kitchen does a great pizza as well
M. H.
The staff was competent but appearing to be significantly understaffed. Restaurant service was awful, and decor looked to be cheap '80s. It is supposed to be art deco but I think it just looked shabby, run down, and clunky.
S. C.
Generally a nice, modern hotel. What let it down was a really small bathroom with almost no counter space and a really limited breakfast selection.
S. C.
Located in the hippest part of Canberra Peppers Gallery Hotel offers beautiful rooms and bathrooms that are stylish. Restaurant options all around hotel within beautifullly appointed grounds and close to CBD, Lake Burley Griffin, cinema and Capital Hill.
M. S.
Rooms are really quirky and cute. A lot of hotels can feel a bit sterile, but Peppers maintains an air of playfulness
G. C.
So layout is made of stairs and hallways. Staff are friendly. Location is a little out of the way. Rooms are clean and have all the amenities.
C. T.
Stayed in a queen room. It was nice, comfortable and quiet. Parking is avialable a short walk away and the staff were helpful.
D. B.
Comfortable and clean. Not great noise insulation. TV is a relic... I think my grandfather owned one. Stayed for one night. Wouldn't object to coming back.
H. G.
Nicly located, a short was away from a hub which had many nice restaurants. Room and bed were very comfortable and staff at reception were very friendly and welcoming.
B. S.
A bit dark but otherwise good accomodation on the heart of Canberra. Nice place to stay
H. F.
Facilities and location great, Italian restaurant was superb! Room nice but showing signs of a little wear and tear for a Peppers establishment.
C. C.
Good location very close to the CBD. Nice restaurant on location and close to other good restaurants. Very nice and comfy room. Fantastic bathroom. Free wi-fi is nice but patchy.
H. W.
Couldn't fault my stay. It was just what I needed for my work trip at a great price point.
A. M.
Well organized operation with stylish rooms that are functional and comfortable. Nice location, with parks and restaurants within a 10 minute walking distance.
G. D.
Nice rooms really good service at reception
Room service food a bit average but would recommend the hotel
E. G.
Check out time is later than you'd usually expect (11am), and breakfast hours are quite generous too (7am-11am).
C. C.
The appartment was great, the kids loved it. Very clean, friendly staff and not far from the key things we had planned to do.
M. M.
Visited peppers with a friend to help them, staff was good, great location, limited and very poor parking options. The drinks are great and the rooms looked great.
K. A.
My 3rd visit to this hotel and I always love it. Beautiful rooms and the best service is what keeps me coming back.
E. G.
Fab. Great service and location.
S. O.
I stay in a suite whilst here so never have issues. Until I got used to the parking area I had difficulty finding my way back to the room.
A. A.
The location was fantastic! The rooms were impeccable! The greeting at reception could have been improved. Thanks Peppers!

Good rooms. Comfy. Relaxed. Bathroom door doesnt fully close has a gap by design. Little awkward
P. S.
Room and breakfast facilities poor.
Bar and location good
M. S.
A nice hotel. Experience spoiled somewhat by lengthy check-in and check-out delays and my key card didn't work because I was given the wrong room number.
S. A.
Rooms are quite small. Underground carpark requires a clicker from reception, of which they only have one! Otherwise standard hotel.
S.
Room was a bit small but quite pleasant. Room was also closest to an exit door which was a bit noisy as others guests were entering/leaving.
J. S.
Nice rooms, spacious, stylish bathroom, good service. Awful internet, underwhelming mini bar, dank corridors.
L. P.
Nice and quiet, small rooms, great service and excellent restaurant. The room feels a bit old, though.
D. R.
Arty facilities with nice modern bathroom. Noises easily heard (from room) in the hallway and little privacy between bedroom and bathroom.
M. Z.
Really clean rooms. Happy with the service overall. The reception staff are great...
R. M.
Great hotel, in convenient location, helpful friendly staff, parking is a little to far away.
L. L.
Excellent overnight stay on our last night out (13th March). Will be back 😊😊

Lovely vibe. Rooms are not large but very comfortable good bar
C. J.
Room decor tried a bit too hard to be funky, but missed some basic stuff. Staff very friendly
H. N.
Loved being in a renovated, heritage listed building. Lots of quirky courtyards to see, restaurants to go to within walking distance.
A. W.
Nice hotel, great staff and for the price I couldn’t really fault it. It’s not your usual Peppers though
D. T.
Hotel is generally ok, but the room looked badly worn. In need of refurbishing
J. H.

D. N.
Fabulous hotel, very comfortable rooms, amazing restaurant
J. S.
Clean tidy room, hotel feels like a maze to find your room and you carpark.
M. K.
Everthing there you need. Also available the gym and a garage but i prefer everything in one location you had to walk outside a little bit there.
G. W.

Very good hotel, excellent staff, good services.

I did like this place but I needed to stay on the new side. This is because one part is a heritage building.

(Translated) It is much better than a 5-star hotel: instead of spacious rooms it has luxurious 5-room apartments, equipped with everything more. The 305 where I stayed was fabulous, with American kitchen, 2 bathrooms, casual lounge, large living room with small terrace, bedroom, and all, just all useful appliances. Furthermore the entrance is BESTIALE !!!

(Translated) The hotel in general is ok, the rooms are big, bed comfortable and good situation. Breakfast is complete, whether you want a buffet or a menu. It has a gym, small, but enough for a few days.
