s. s.We stayed in room 511 which was very spacious and had great water and marina views. The apartment could do with a new paint job and some new wall art. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was regularly serviced which was great. The apartments are in a great location. Our only negative was that there were building upgrade works being done next door which was a little noisy and took away the holiday feel a bit, but understand works have to be done at some stage. We will definitely be back again and intend to stay at Cullen Bay Resorts again.
S. W.Nice staff, friendly and helpful. Rooms need to be to be refurbished, and there were quite a few cockroaches witnessed in the apartment. Quite a lot of dust also. Great location and overall we had a great time.
M. H.Great location. Friendly staff however room very dated. Mattress very uncomfortable along with the lounge and yes you get what you pay for. A little upgrade would make this stay a lot more comfortable. Lucky for us we don’t spend a lot of time in the room.

Was a little outdated but convenience of kitchen and beautiful view of the marina were a big pluses. Close enough to town and beautiful beach close by for walks. Signage in lift had spelling mistake which shows attention to detail.

Apart from these comments our time at the Cullen Bay Resort was fantastic. The pool is lovely maybe some more umbrellas for shade would be a good idea. The staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble. Short walk to nice restaurants at the Marina. We stayed late August 2021

Rooms are clean, bed is comfy albeit lacking a blanket.
Staff at reception are the main reason for the full 5 stars, very accommodating and always friendly.

A. H.We stayed in a hotel room at the resort for 5 nights. It was comfortable and clean. Great location, just 5 minutes from the centre of Darwin. The hotel itself has a nice pool, and is a 5 minute walk from a few good cafes and restaurants in one direction and a 10 min walk in the other direction to a small supermarket. The hotel has a small kiosk. It could do with some renovation - which seems to be in the works. Good free parking. 5 minute drive from the casino and Mindle Beach Markets. I would recommend this hotel.
T. Z.Large rooms, spacious lounge and kitchen. Balcony is nice. Bathroom has no shower door or screen and no exhaust fan so gets extremely wet and hot. Lots of natural light.
Pool is clean and well maintained.
I enjoyed my stay and I would recommend staying here.

M. G.Loved our stay here. We had an 8th floor unit with everything you need for your stay. Kitchen to cook your own meals and a washer and dryer. The view from our room was to die for. Absolutely stunning. Close to beach. Would love to stay here again

H. S.We had a one bedroom spacious apartment with waterfront (million dollar) views. The pool was great and clean. The staff were friendly and efficient... Rose the manager was extremely helpful, as were Kim and Fiona. Handy for fabulous eateries at the waterfront .. the bus takes you to Darwin interchange every hour. The sunsets from the grassy area at Cullen Bay are spectacular. We will certainly return! Walking distance to Mindil market.

Well appointed overall: could have used a coffee plunger though. Wifi was a bit weak in our apartment. Would totally stay here again

M. E.We used our Territory Voucher here. While the views are spectacular. The rest of the building is showing its age. We had a two bed apartment for one night and while functional the furnIshings were bare sufficient. Some of the artwork was falling apart and the building had a feeling of not being loved for some time. It seems it’s undergoing some renovations in the foyer. More detailed attention to cleaning for the price, as you will see from a couple of the pics (we cleaned some gumption (I think) off the light switch). $450 a night was probably double what it was worth. 🤔

V. M.Great location and friendly place but our 2 br room on the 1st floor was in need of some TLC and a deep clean. Curtains were falling down at one end and didn't quite block out the light at the top, for example, couch dirty and the clothes horse was broken. Bathroom had been renovated recently.
Tip: if staying in a holiday period, ask for a room away from the pool if you want peace and quiet.
E. S.The South facing side overlooks the marina. Each apartment has a balcony and from the third floor upwards is a clear view of the CDB, marina and day.
Our apartment could do with a refurbishment but other wise clean and comfortable. Only a 10 min walk to Mindil Beach.
B. S.We would highly recommend the Cullen Bay Resorts for a stay of a week or more in Darwin. While the rooms are a little bit tired they offer very good value for money especially with the cooking and washing facilities in each apartment. Location is excellent with a short walk to the marina and it bar and restaurants, a 10 minute walk to Mindel beach and markets and a bus stop just across the road that takes you into the city in 7 minutes for $3 return! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Do your self a favour and check it out. It’s not the Ritz but good value apartment accommodation in a great location.

The views were incredible, it was so nice to relax on the balcony and just watch the water and boats in the harbour whilst eating breakfast.
Good location, close to several shops and restaurants with an ideal place to watch the sun set. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

L. E.For service and a great away from home location this is a terrific spot. After a crazy day of meetings etc to come back here is so peaceful and tranquil. You can get take in but just a couple hundred metres down the road is a great selection of restaurants and a pub. They all overlook the water littered with yachts and imaginations of future travel opportunities.
While all the staff are extremely helpful most of my dealings are with Kelly who is very client and solution focused.

A. N.Views are great and the rooms are lovely and clean. Price isn't too bad, it's just a little dated is all. Underground parking with an elevator straight to your floor makes things easy.
L. L.I stayed on the 8th floor with an awesome view of the Marina, the room was well appointed and clean and reception staff were warm and accommodating. There was an ant issue despite no food being eaten in the room but it's Darwin. Who needs an alarm clock when a short sharp nip on the bum is less noisy and far more incentive to get out of bed. 😊

a. r.Beautiful scenery, looking straight ahead to the marina. Close to the ferry terminal, fishing charters and a choice of awesome restaurants within easy walking distance. Take a loaf of bread and throw it in the water to get a look at all of the fish. Highly recommend it.

T. M.I stayed at this hotel on my recent trip. The hotel itself is quite old. The standard of cleanliness throughout is superb. From the cleaner to ***agement everybody was happy to help. Location is perfect for getting to most of the local sites. Transportation was offered to areas of interest.
r. c.A delightful location only a couple of hundred metres to the marina with shops ,restaurants and a sunset to die for as you eat the very best fish and chips of your life. The staff at the resort are very welcomming and go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. Bus stop is directly opposite and just 10 minute ride into Darwin cbd ( seniors free) will have no hesitation to make another visit.

Public transport and lots of restaurants in walking distance on marina. Would highly recommend this accomodation especially the top floor with the views ,worth the extra $15 a night. Had a fantastic holiday and will return and stay in same hotel we liked it that much, lots to see and do in Darwin, weather lovely, no flies, no mozzies, all in all a wonderful surprise!

S.As nice as our view was at this hotel it was meant to be a 4 star rating..on arrival of our room we noticed ants walking freely around all over the place, no cutlery no plates no toaster no microwave..its meant to be a self contained apartment with cooking facilities we had nothing and had to ask just for a bowl and spoons to eat our cereal out of ..should be standard to have them in a self contained apartment......we had a very aged kettle that we had to hold the button down on it whilst it boiled very annoying at the time ...the water in the shower was just about warm most the time and as clean as the bathroon was it was in need of a revamp..the grout was falling away from the wall of the shower and rust around parts of the bathroom needed to be looked at......the air-conditioned unit made that much noise you could not sleep with it on ....then you could not sleep with it off because it was to hot....they also advertise free wifi but when you get there they have it but only in the lobby and pool area not in rooms which in this day and age was a bit strange....overall i would not of rated this as a 4 star hotel ..I've stayed in better 3 star hotels when you pay good money for a 4 star rating hotel i would expect a bit better than we got .......but on a lighter happier note we had a lovely holiday and could not fault our location it truly was amazing and would recommend a visit to cullum bay its self it really is a great area with great restaurants and a perfect sunset every night .. .
A. E.The resort located at such as strategic location. Still at the edge of the city, hence not much traffic passing in this area. 10mins walks to the Cullen Bay jetty make it easy to catch the ferry either to Mandorah (another side of Darwin) or to Tiwi Island.

K.A fair price for the time of season and in a good location, a short walk to the ocean and restaurants and only five minutes from the city, my only gripe would be the room in which we stayed was facing a cliff face and a residence which blocked views of the harbour so make sure you ask for a harbour view and your all good.
