L. G.We spent 4 nights at H on Mitchell. The apartment was very spacious and clean. The cleaners are super efficient and they came and cleaned our room every day, providing new laundry powder and dish washing liquid as requested.
The balcony is a plus and perfect to enjoy a drink watching the sunset.
The kitchen is functional, however it could be better equipped.

K. Z.Unfortunately our stay here left much to be desired. Firstly we were checked in to the wrong room, this was sorted out quickly. Secondly, our bedroom aircon did not cool properly, we reported this to reception multiple times over our 3 night stay and nothing was done to repair the situation. Little care shown from front desk staff which was disappointing. The apartment was otherwise nice, although there was no toaster and it was not cleaned properly on arrival. There was food crumbs on the couch and the dining table was dirty. Friendly staff and thorough cleaning would go along way here.
S. R.The 2 bed apartment was really lovely. We had great views to the coast from the balcony and bedrooms. We did have to ask for the room to be cleaned (towels changed) though. It was Christmas when we stayed and only skeleton staff on, but when staying for 5 nights we did expect towels to be changed at least. Staff acted very promptly when asked.
R. N.Great, fresh surprising new rooms, especially for the price. Variety of rooms to suit from small lower floor to large two bedrooms with verandah views of the sea that go forever, depends what you need or want. Some disability access suitable rooms too, so fellow guests have told me. Good kitchen facilities, neat, new, nice to use. Good undercover parking included. Good restaurant, used to have great buffet and alacarte breakfast included until dear old Covid-19 regulations. Hopefully they'll be back sometime.
Oh, and the service is friendly and professional. I've been to the rest ......

T. M.I've stayed here several times now. The apartments have modern finishes with smeg appliances which is +. My only gripe is that the cleaning is a little hit and miss and there have been some maintenance issues during my stays. I would definitely recommend purely just for the location.

K. T.A centrally city-located, service apartment with some basic facilities such as a pool, gym and decent views of the waterfront. We booked the 2 bedroom apartment and it was comfortable but it didn't impress with how equipped it was. It didn't have enough kitchen equipment such as a decent frying pan and cutlery, bowls and plates were also limited and old. First impressions walking in was pretty low with an angry lady at the counter asking why her room was in a dirty mess when it was her first day checking in. Room service must be having an off day, something you would expect with cleaners who are working holiday and are always on the move. Overall the customer service brings the hotel to 3 stars for being horrid ignoring its guests when checking in and out.
T. T.An absolutely lovely place to stay. Rooms were extremely clean, great appliances, and very roomy. Good location with the exception of not being able to see the water. Otherwise would definitely book again! Would love a sea view higher up though.

M. K.Decent enough hotel but try and grab the upgrade to the bigger rooms for that extra style. Not noted for it's warmth so to speak but the free parking is appreciated. Right next to bottle shop but take ID no matter your age. Air con was a little noisy but the rooms were clean and comfortable.
P. F.Well presented rooms, reasonable restaurant. The rooms could really so with a good freshen up after the occupants have left - my room on the last two occasions has that whiff of stale cigarette smoke. Air fresheners wouldn't go amiss....

K.This place is awesome. We bedroom apartment but ended up coming a day early and they managed to find us one on the spur of the moment. We stayed 8 nights here. The prices were really good. We were so surprised at the apartment itself. It was very spacoius, so clean and the views are amazing. The staff at reception are very obliging and eager to meet our needs always. , plus the lattes and coffee is really nice. I went down enquiring where i could buy some bubble wrap for a present i had bought and they gave me some. The restaurant is great and right there below so no need to go out anywhere else for dinner. The hotel is right in the CBD so quick and easy to get to all shops. We really loved it here. It was so comfortable and cozy. Would definitely stay here again if coming back to Darwin

Great accomodation. 5 stars for it. Price is a tad exxy but worth the quality. Good gym and good pool facility too.
Horrible buffet breakfast though. Just cold foods. No variety and very plain.
The reason why I don't give this a 5 star review though, is the customer service. 3 different staff members at 3 different times; were just very callous and curt. No smiles. No friendly service. E.g. At check out, I held out the room card to give back, in front of the lady, for whole awkward 30secs, before she said, just leave it there, in a condescending manner. Disappointing.

P.Stayed last week,we had originally booked a studio apartment and on inspection we found it lovely but a little small for our requirements, due to health reasons ,I checked with the duty manager and was upgraded to a 1 bed apartment , which was absolutely amazing, I have let my travel agent who has a hello world franchise know how great the hotel and staff were, including the restaurant and bars . Having to use oxygen and a walker these days is frustrating but staying in this Hotel was really fantastic, as were the views from floor 13, Jason the manager at the time of our stay we thank you and the staff again and will always recommend your hotel as a 10 .
B. N.Located walking distance to CBD and bus stop. Room is clean, great view of city or sea, a little small but has all white goods of self-contained apart-hotel. Too small for kids. Gym is clean and well equipped with view of city. Pool is fine for dip. Restaurant "lizard bar" is pricey so go venture in the city, or cook for yourself. Cosy, romantic and great for a short trip in the Top End.

E. B.We stayed 8 nights in a king room. The bed and pillows were great, very comfortable. The shower was a goid size with nice water pressure and a good head. The view from 15th floor was great and parking easy. On the down side about half of the lights in the room weren't working, there was virtually no crockery or cutlery. We were allowed to grab cutlery from the restaurant downstairs and told the rest would be fixed in the morning - it never was and we ended up getting some cheap stuff ourselves as we couldn't be bothered. The room was not properly cleaned prior to check-in - empty shampoo etc. was in the shower and empty dishwashing liquid packets were by the sink. Apart from that it looked clean. The freezer needs defrosting as the ice tray was frozen in, but nothing I put in there stayed frozen. Lucky we got the room at 50% off, definitely not worth the full rate.

S. N.Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the water fanastic !! The rooms were spacious and extremely clean and modern ! Walking into town was a 5 min walk . Staff where extremely helpful during our stay expecially Samantha who help with our booking and reservation . Would definitely stay again !!!
P. S.I thought this was going to be a great apartment we stayed in some apartments owned by the same company(C2) they were great,, sadly this apartment is not when we got out of the lift the foyer smelt musty, the windows had mould on them (outside luckily), the exaust fan in the bathroom chocka block full of dust. The air conditioner has a timer that turns it off every hour (I worked out how to extend it to 3 hours). The rooms nice enough and there is a view of the water but add to that I'm not a real fan of getting a room set up as a full on disable room when I'm not disable. On the plus side it is well set up if you are in a wheelchair.
Q. T.I have been a regular to the H on Mitchell and I need to say that Jason has been so accommodating to all I have asked and has even upgraded me when not necessary. I have been in the hospitality trade for over 30 years and its nice to see that hotel personnel do appreciate there guests and try to accommodate to their needs and jason has definitely done that. H on Mitchell will always be a favorite for me because of the personal touch. I will recommend this hotel to friends and family because of you. The staff are very.accommodating and friendly. Well done team.
A. K.Been here a twice this year. Do not be mistaken with 'H on Smith'. They are sister company and at different location; though quite close.
The room comes with a lounge, lightly furnished kitchen and a dinning room. Each are of reasonable size. I guess they are built for the fly-in fly-out customers.
The price is reasonable considering the facilities, room and location.
I tried the fire staircase and the good thing is it's not blocked nor locked. You will note at Level 3, there is a mesh partition but it's not locked.
I tried 2 meal - lunch and dinner. I had fish for their $14 lunch and Baramundi for dinner. I found the lunch is 3/5* while the dinner is 5/5*. Its one of the best Bara I had tried.
Those who want to try their luck they have bets next to the restaurant.

M. D.Facilities very good but let down by woeful administration and it seems management either contribute or aren't interested in doing anything about it. Big tip, don't book here as they don't deserve the business, despite having good facilities. Arrived at 11.30pm to be told don't have booking and looked at as if to say are you stupid, until I produced printed email confirmation with name of staff member who had made booking. Magically my booking appeared and was told Chris, who is mentioned in many bad reviews, had cancelled my booking. No room for us, but was I sure my name wasn't one of the three bookings for the night who hadn't shown. They did the same to my sister's booking. We had booked early in the year as we were all there for wedding. Had to camp the night in another sister's room. Clearly the guests in the high vis vests get priority and people's bookings get bumped. The affiliated hotel The Mitchell bumped my nephew who was staying before his wedding due to "mould" and had to scramble very last minute to find new rooms. Welcome to Darwin where nobody cares about good service. Everyone we spoke to and overheard checking in had problems with one guest being charged extra $2000 on their card. Here's a tip, strange concept but consider your guests who pay your way and don't book rooms when they were not available. WILL NOT BE RETURNING!!!!!!!

D. B.Mixture of staff, some seem to know what they are doing while others are very under trained. Average food at the buffet at times and room clean once a week with hit and miss top ups. The location is great and the facilities equally so, I just think the staff and upkeep need a bit of fine tuning and it would be a great venue for regular stays.

We shared a washing machine with the room neighbors which in our case was not a problem weill have never washed anyway. The kitchen is modern and big but never used it. The hotel has a pool. The room prices are quite moderate, you get a lot for the price and if someone drinks alcohol is a store right next to the hotel (ID card not forget 😂).

Das Apartment-Hotel ist Sauber und die Zimmer sind gross inkl. Balkon. Man teilte sich eine waschmaschiene mit dem Zimmer Nachbarn was in unserem Fall kein Problem war weill die sowieso nie gewaschen haben. Die Küche ist modern und gross aber habe sie nie gebraucht. Das Hotel hat einen Pool. Die Zimmer Preis sind recht Moderat, man bekommt viel für den Preis und wenn jemand Alkohol drinkt ist ein Store gleich neben dem Hotel (Ausweis nicht vergessen 😂).
