A. B.The staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved how close the location from the city and the views are beautiful from our villa. Games room was great, warm indoor small pool was ok, laundry room is a great plus and very handy for long stays.
The only downside is that the bedrooms are not air-conditioned, we stayed for 5 nights, 1st two nights were really hot and couldn't sleep well, there is a single air-conditioning unit at the ground floor which wasn't enough to cool the bedrooms upstairs, otherwise i would recommend it and might come back to it in the future but not in summer with no air-conditioning in bedrooms.

M. O.Bay View Villas were the perfect place to stay with our family of 4. After having been in one hotel room at our previous accommodation while travelling around Tasmania, it was so lovely to have so much space. The two storey apartment we were in was homely, clean and had everything we needed whilst being very affordable. The staff were lovely and had made sure to turn the heating on in our apartment just before we arrived. The games room was a highlight for our 2 boys who had lots of fun playing ping pong. Laundry takes $2 coins only and the dryer was quite expensive to try and dry a big load of washing, but otherwise everything else here was great. Good View too!
P. G.Room was exactly as shown on website. Warm comfortable large size bedroom with built in wardrobe. Plenty of space for 3 in 1bd appartment. All accessories supplied plus the bonus of indoor pool and games room. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly and no request was too much trouble. Will definitely be back in the future.
D. 6.Clean, tidy and great location. Stayed in separate appartments. Noticed the plugs and cords for bedside lamps were hard up against the single beds on wheels which were nearly bent and out of the sockets. Disconnected in case fire hazard. Cups had to be re cleaned. Wasnt told we had to pay $150 accidental deposit til we paid the balance. Wasn't as good as last time we stayed. Ok I guess. 2.5-3 stars.

Staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again. Very quiet area so the sleep quality is fantastic. There is an IGA/Deli within 5 min walk and its the best IGA i have ever seen!
L. D.Nice clean room, with two working heaters which kept us warm. The view from our room was really pretty and the receptionist was kind and welcoming. The bed was firm and was two beds pushed together to make a king size, but I slept well on it. Would stay here again for sure
A. S.Everything was spot clean, both in the villa we were in and the common areas. The location is fantastic, we could just drive to any of the tourist attraction very easily from there, avoiding the city traffic, though city is about 5 mins away.
I would have given 5 stars but am holding back for three reasons. First, the indoor pool was greatly appreciated, the room was warm like a sauna, but the water was cold. Heated pool was the feature, it was more like below room temperature cold. Second thing was the pool table, I thank them for having it. Its a paid item, like needs 2x $1 coins to operate. Its in appalling condition, it would have done their reputation less damage had it not been there. The table is really old and falling apart, worn out, probably comes out of some pub that threw it away. Such a small thing that sticks out like a sore thumb.
Third thing is that air con is a split system that was available downstairs only. Upstairs there is nothing, the issue I have is that the room advertised as having air con is technically true, but we sleep without it as the rooms are upstairs. Not false advertisement, but not very forthcoming either.
For staying there, I would recommend the Bay View Villas, there were indeed bay views from our window. The staffs are friendly, the establishment is well managed. Some minor issues, I'm sure they can fix, if not, you can overlook.

K. W. T.Decent accommodation which has every necessities. Room was big and clean, but not much of view despite the name. Kitchen had everything but it was a little small for more than 2 to cook at the same time. Parking was just outside the apartment which is really good. Location is very close to cafes, restaurants and supermarket. Definitely need a car to get here.

Staff were pleasant enough, but the place felt impersonal and corporate.
Were told house keeping would go through the villa every day, what a joke, all they did was emptied one bin, we had to go to reception daily to get coffee satchels. NO HEATING in the upstairs bedrooms, the heater down stairs was way too small for the area, so it was always a little cold, almost like glamping.
The front door rattled in the wind, maintenance was required on different parts of the place. Amazed after spending big money that we had a 10:00am check out !!
Good parking and good views, but we wont be back.

J. R.Stayed 2 nights on a 2 bedroom vila. Clean, comfortable villa with cooking and cleaning amenities provided. Parking space right at the doorstep was really convenient. Laundry facility is available. Swimming pool was not very big with strong chlorine smell. Location is on an upslope with nice scenery of the city but might be quite inconvenient for those who are not driving.

C.Spacious apartment. Doesn't exactly have a good view. Few mins drive from supermarket and attraction in Hobart. Clean and have free parking space. $50 fine if dishes not clean. Warm room during winter. Utensils provided but minimally. Knife is not sharp and hardly can cut any stuff. No condiments provided in apartment.

A. B.Bed was reasonably comfy, no air conditioning, small heater in the corner of room, 2 small comfy chairs, a large tv with foxtel but not a smart tv. Bathroom had decent lighting and mirrors, but a push button for the heat lamp that turns off quickly. The shower pressure was good but unfortunately the water runs out very very quickly! Location is close to shops, cafes and supermarkets. Internet connection is okay. Overall not too bad. The big down fall is the hot water running out so quickly.

A. E.My husband and I have stayed here three times now, choosing this as our Hobart base.
The previous two times we've had no issues with our experiences. In fact, we've been over the moon. Always top floor one bedroom with harbour views, service has been exemplary.
I had to postpone in 2016 due to an injury and the lady I spoke to was only able to offer me one out of the three dates with no refund. I wasn't happy. However, when we arrived, another lady at the desk gave us the refund for the two nights we didn't use - phew!
This year?
Absolutely no problems with service. Efficient, friendly and professional.
This time we were on the second floor one bedroom with harbour views. We could hear the people above us thumping around like elephants. We also didn't open the curtains too much as you can see into the two bedrooms townhouses across the way (and probably vice versa).
The kitchen, while completely and perfectly usable, lacked some basic things like a pair of scissors. I wouldn't partake in their 'breakfast' offerings, it's just stuff you get yourself in a grocery store for 1/4 of the price - just go to the local corner just down the road (West Hobart Express). There is also amazing pizza and pasta across the road from that is a must (Paesano Pizza & Pasta).
We've never had a problem with the free WiFi on offer previously but this year, it is just incredibly bad. We couldn't even use it. It wouldn't load web pages!
The shower is also a bath, and an incredible slip hazard. The water pressure is absolutely woeful.
There are air conditioning units in the lounge and the bedroom, but you can only use one at a time.
You also only get one key, which is used to power the room. Not very helpful if you need to separate for any reason.
Introvert observations: The only interaction required is if you check in within operational hours, you could check in after hours and they lock your key in a lockbox. You can also drop your key off in the box at the front.
There are no signs for your door if you do not wish to be disturbed. Both days we had housekeeping knocking on our door, one day we were in the middle of getting ready (albeit it was about midday).
Final thoughts: While we have been a few times now, and have loved this place for its location and facilities, I believe it has degraded in quality over the past twelve months. I will probably look elsewhere for next year.
M. S.It all started when we checked in the staff were extremely friendly! When we got to our room we were amazed by this size and how modernised all the room were. All the amenities were clean and presented in a good way. The bed were extremely comfortable.

B. O.Clean, very friendly staff. Quite expensive considering it is located in the suburbs and rooms very small and kitchen really basic. Unit 7 was quite noisy, with flood creaking and doors sqeaking. Parking is good. Without the view it is daily basic.
S. P.Stay here every time we come to hobart. Usually stay in 1 bed with harbour view. Loved it. But 2 bedrooms need some improvements. Light in living room is not enough. Bathroom is great. Bedroom is not too bad. If you stay in the 1 bedroom with harbour view before you will see the differences. But it's still our first choice when we come to hobart.
S. W.A very nice place to stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The apartment was very comfortable. A short walk down the road and you can get great coffee, breakfast and lunch at the Lansdowne Cafe.
N. M. S.Our stay here was to be a reprieve from staying in budget accomodations and it was alright, but it is oversold because it is not what it is made out to be on its website. The indoor pool was cold, closes at 7:30, they charged $10 per head for a breakfast which consisted of a cheap cereal, fruit juice reconstitute, tub of preserved fruit and muesli bar. There are condescending notes all over their walls about doing your own dishes or being charged $50 and if you don't cook with the range hood on and the fire alarm goes off you will be billed $400 for fire brigade call out. I always feel these notes displayed around the kitchen to be condescending and take away from the experience , especially when it cost so much.
