J. C.A very comfortable, convenient place to stay with extremely friendly and helpful staff, as well as great service.
I accidentally left my AirPods in my room and did not realise until I got on my flight home. Stone kindly found them for me and posted them via express mail free of charge. He also helped us to check in when we were arriving a bit late. I’m very thankful that we were able to stay in a place with great staff.
Housekeeping was great too and the rooms were cleaned every day.
Overall a great place to stay, in a convenient location right in the centre of Hobart. 100% would recommend staying at Blue Hills Motel during your visit to Hobart!
M. M.Decent value for money. Certainly a budget hotel, several little finishing items that laked polish. Generally clean and simple rooms, would stay again at the right price.
蕭.Really lovely owner!! It was after hours, but we realize we left AirPods in the room. He was so lovely went back to the staffs and get it for us after his time off. He also upgraded our room.
C. X.Disgusting peoples left uncontrolled yelling and partying till nearly dawn with a combination of poor noise insulation made a nightmare to stay here, couldn't even sleep at all. Double charge my card makes me feel insecure for my card information left over with them.

Need hire car to get around,10 miles from airport,plus no jetstar flights at all from Launceston airport.
C. F.I did not end up staying as I had to cancel due to covid, I had made bookings for a few nights on bookings.com and knew that it was non refundable if I cancelled. The Motel very kindly and unexpectedly refunded me as I was cancelling so far ahead and had great customer service to assist me with this as well. They were also very helpful with other issues I had (with bookings.com not them) and offered free luggage storage. I definitely plan on staying here when I do get to finally go on my trip and based on my experience so far would highly recommend.
k. d.We had 3 night stay and we were warmly welcomed by stone the front desk worker. A very lovely and friendly man. The place is close and central to everything . Very Close to the airport and constitution dock. I would definitely stay again if I ever visited Hobart again..

p.Had a relaxing stay at the Blue Hills Motel, had a late check in which the staff organized and I much appreciated. The bed was a very comfortable and slept well with zero disturbance the whole stay. The shower had good water pressure and was better than mine at home. The fridge although small had deceptive storage space, it operated quietly and effectively. The views from the top balcony are million dollar, the location convenient to city with shops and banks close by. Although the décor is some what dated, it added to the character of this motel. I will stay again, as had an enjoyable stay

N.Its budget accommodation so I'm not going to bash it for not having the most fantastic facilities or the fastest wifi or the cleanest rooms or the most modern appliances. The staff were great. We were treated with respect and kindness. The location is great as well. An easy walk into the centre of Hobart as long as a long steep hill doesn't exceed your fitness level. The room was adequate. It had a bed and a tv and soft pillows and was quiet and the signs made me laugh. I would definitely stay here again.

The Good
The room we had (#6) was extremely clean.
The shower was nicely hidden away, yet spacious, and the shampoo and shower gel were nice to have.
The bed was a queen size with very comfy mattress and pillows.
The place doesn't look great on the outside, but is a gem on the inside.
Feels like more of a hostel than a hotel, but no one will disturb you once you're in your room.
Short walk to Salamanca and the city, location is excellent
The Bad
The bed was comfortable, but very squeaked at the littlest movement. Parking area is tiny, not enough car parks for rooms. We had to park on the street for the 2 nights we stayed.
A bigger TV would be nice, was tiny to watch from the bed.
The water temperature, took a while to get hot. The water pressure wasn't great, but workable. The shower recess has no curtain and so the floor gets extremely slippery!
The outside of the building needs a do-over, doesn't fill the customer with confidence.

I. 0.The motel is in a great position, perfect for exploring Hobart, and handy for breakfast at a local bakery that's mentioned in all the guides. The rooms are clean and comfortable with good mattresses, clean towels daily for the en suite shower. Each room has a kettle and some tea bags etc as well as a fridge. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. When we decided to eat 'at home' they lent us plates and cutlery. It was quiet and met all our needs.
I have already recommended it to friends.
C.A wonderful living experience in blue hills motel as the front desk service is pretty good, really polite and patient with my questions.
And the location is quite convenient, it takes only 5-10 minutes then you can arrive in main sandy bay business area or just 2-3 minutes to the bus station and take the bus to city.
As a tourist, I also enjoy the scenery around there, gorgeous looking.
Thanks for giving me such an unforgettable travelling experience.

M. R.The rooms are comfortable. Reasonably sized. The motel provides basic toiletries like towels, shampoo and soap. There is daily housekeeping. Only issue is that in summer it can be rather hot as there is only a fan in the room. Other than that it was a rather pleasant stay.

J. D.Nice location to everywhere, and the room is clean and comfortable. It is also near to supermarket so I can easily get snacks and drinks from there. Also have some restaurant around the hotel. The receptionist is extremely friendly and warm-hearted. Communication is perfect! I will book it again next time!
I. I.We were lucky to get the ground floor renovated rooms, beds were comfy and bathroom is clean and looks brand new. Good location but carpark is a bit hard to get as it's a small end road. Overall not bad for a budget motel
T. J.Nice cosy place in Sandy Bay. It's a 5 min drive away from the waterfront and quiet close to many resturants. Great view from the room. Clean tidy and a peaceful. Check in time was at 2pm but the staff was nice enough to let us check in at 10am 😊 on top of that we got an free upgrade on our room. We spent 3 nights and was a very pleasant stay. Can't fault it.
P. M.Ok budget motel in a handy part of town to Salamanca markets and loads of bars and restaurants. The WiFi was terrible. The rooms were reasonably clean but not spotless. It has a coin laundry for guests to use which is handy.
J. P.Motel is located quite centrally, clean room and bathroom. My room has a great view of the mountains but the only downside is that there’s no window for ventilation. I am here during the summer, although it is cooling outside during the night, it is rather stuffy in the room due to poor ventilation. I noticed that other rooms have windows that could be opened, guess I’m just unlucky.
J.Stopped here for one night while i was travelling through hobart, cosy room and no complaints about the bed, i slept like a log. Its a good Budget motel if you're looking to stay somewhere last minute for a night or two while touring the city. The facilities are usable and does the job for the price.

The nearby Salamanca is also a great attraction, with lots of handmade shops, restaurants and bars, and Salamanca market on Saturday also worth a visit. The hotel staff are very friendly and have answered many questions in detail. The room is not big but enough for single living. In short, it is a good living experience.

Don't be fooled by the Free Austar though, they have a few channels for movies but the quality is bad. Excellent hotel if you want to be close to town (Hobart) and it's a 10min walk to Salamanca Place.
Highly recommend if you just want a nice place to stay at an affordable price.
高.This motel is ideally located in battery point, very picturesque and close to many restaurants and supermarkets. Also within 6-8 mins walking distance to Salamanca Market. Clean, comfortable and spacious motel, both in the public areas and rooms. The staff friendliness and helpfulness is one of the best motel I have encountered anywhere in the world during my travels. Highly recommended!!!Overall a fantastic stay!!

It's right in the Battery Point section of Old Hobart.
A bit steep driveway though. Watch your bumpers.

C. 1.The best thing about this motel is the location, it's just a 10-15mins walk to Salamanca or the CBD and Battery Point is just 5mins. The rooms however are pretty basic. I did book a budget room, but I would have expected a little better than what it was. Furniture very worn, no bedside lamp and shower did not even have a shower curtain. The fixtures in the bathroom surprisingly looked almost new, but I'm not even sure they were installed by a professional and up to code. In the shower the covers left a gap to the wall and when I tried to get the shower head into a straight position it was unscrewing from the pipe.
