Amazing! The bedroom with a bathtub was fabulous and I would absolutely stay there again

Comfy and clean room. I wouldn't say it's a 5 star hotel. Good location. If travelling with infants be mindful that staff's not very friendly and charge $40 per night for a cot!

It's comfortable and well located... But the lower level rooms (below level 3) have no view. So if you don't want to stare at a rock wall inches from your windows, you may care to stay elsewhere

Coffee is good/ washroom on site / gluten free options / staff pleasant

You would struggle to get a better located hotel in Hobart than Salamanca Wharf. 2 minutes from the markets, Battery Point up the stairs behind you, and the waterfront and city all within 10 minutes.
Rooms are big and bright and there’s everything you need for a long stay, including a fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer.
The car stacker was great to use, and once explained a simple task, and so good to be able to just leave the car there for free and walk the city.
There’s a café in the foyer, but we preferred Salamanca Cream a few doors up, which had awesome coffee and pastries.
Service here was friendly and helpful, though the front desk was not staffed for much of the week.
There’s a superb, though pricey grocery story in Salamanca nearby.
Rooms were super quiet, and the bathroom was big and clean.
The one gripe is the almost total lack of closet space. There was a single, minuscule area for hanging clothes, which could only be reached by a basketballer with long arms – very bizarre.
Highly recommended for a longer stay with great access to everything you need.

I would more than happily recommend the Salamanca Wharf Hotel. We have a Penthouse room, actually the one they show on their website, it is absolutely beautiful. It may not have views of the water but the trees outside the main windows are lovely, providing a relaxing backdrop. The bed is large, soft and inviting with a huge bath set to the side of the bedroom. The living area is not over furnished, giving the area a very spacious feel. The lounge is very comfortable and the kitchen area has everything you need. The bathroom is large with the best shower I have ever used, it is spacious with 2 shower options, one shower head on the side wall and one from the ceiling, I really love it. A separate toilet is also nice and spacious. It is very clean with personable staff.
The location is great especially if you happen to have a leg injury. No stairs or hills on your way to Salamanca Place, which is just behind the property. Breakfast and lunch are served downstairs in the cafe, we went for breakfast and ended up buying dinner there to heat up in our room. It really is the perfect accommodation.

It is a nice hotel, clean and a good location. But it isn't 5 stars, very noise building can here other quests in stairwell and rooms above. Overall good experience but I wouldn't stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and it was fab. We had a suite on the top floor with a funky fun layout. There was a big unique window opening towards the greenery in the backyard. The beds were incredible. The service was great. The only thing we wanted more of was to stay longer. Hobart was an incredible city that we are considering moving to. Don’t miss the MONA.

Great location, very comfy bed, bathroom amenities great - single spa, clothes washing m/c & dryer. Main lounge room bit spartan and no balcony. Definitely for bed only and plenty of nearby restaurants to dine.

Nicky at reception was a delight - welcoming and informative. The apartment is everything we expected, feels well built and appointed, and this is the first place I think I've ever stayed where the kitchen has a complete set of useful utensils, crockery and cookware.

Stayed here in September of 2016. Our apartment was very clean and tidy. Comfortable bed and very friendly staff. It is perfectly located and a short walking distance to bars and restaurants. Only disappointment was that when we opened our blinded we noticed we didn't have a view - we were faced with the gable end of the next building (a brick wall). Other than that is was a great place. If you are bring your car you should note that there is a stacked parking garage and it can be a little complex with larger vehicles (not to worry though - I'm sure one of the friendly staff can help/park for you).

Hotel is located in a great spot, close to lots of restaurants. Easy after hours entry. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Spa bath in room was great. Well stocked mini bar. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Clean and spacious rooms in a great location. Parking was made available and added to the convenience greatly. Apartment was well appointed with dishwasher, washer/dryer etc. Only downside was the bed being very very soft which may suit some. Hobart is somewhat lacklustre but this hotel made it bearable.

Really funky and modern rooms, very friendly staff. I would absolutely recommend anyone stay here when in Hobart. The only two things that could be improved are the comfort of the pillows, they’re a little too soft and don’t hold their shape.
The other is that you need to call an external security number to gain access to the building after hours, and strangely we were only given one key. For security purposes, I don’t think the hotel should print the room number and floor on the key card either - in case you lose it.
Overall, a great experience and I will be back.

Couldn’t be happier with our stay here. The pleasantness and kindness of the staff was a lovely surprise and as a frequent traveller to Hobart I will definitely be back. Thanks!

Comfortable but not luxury. Well located just to the side of the famous Salamanca area in beautiful Hobart. The rooms are nice and relatively comfortable. Nothing luxurious about them and the hotel itself is limited on facilities but it's pleasant and okay value. A few better places opening in Hobart soon / which will be far more expensive but if you're into luxury accommodation look elsewhere - if your looking for comfort and value this is a good place to stay

Sensational hotel in the best location you can find. There is no better way to experience Hobart than to wake up with Salamanca Place and the harbour on your doorstep. The rooms are perfectly designed and work well for a business trip or weekend away

Super helpful staff, nice rooms, well stocked minibar, great location, quiet rooms, good (not great) shower, totally functional galley-style kitchenette. Oh, and the car-stacker parking is fun if you haven't used one before :)

The room was so pretty, I love the way they've decorated it and everything was clean! So close to the main shop and restaurant district, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back

Spacious rooms. We got a studio on the top floor with a beautiful kitchen, and a nice little balcony. Convenient location. Nice high tech automatic car park.

Just booked in. Nikki at reception was a great help. Been here four nights now -- you have to love the beds... Want one of the them at home. Slept like a log.

Great place, lovely vibe in the heart of all the action. Be mindful they use a car stacker so try to ensure ur vehicle isn't over 5 m In length or you won't fit in. Would stay again!

Easy access and no fuss, checked in and out without any face to face contact. Over the phone contact only and very pleasant with a great room close to Salamanca.

Close to restaurants, shops and Brook Street wharf, where the Mona ferry docks. Modern unfussy studio with kitchen and laundry. Car parking with lift available.
C. W.
Clean and modern space, car stacker was weird. Close to everything. Cafe downstairs had decent coffee and food.

Wonderful in every way. The staff went above and beyond to make us happy, and always greeted us with a huge smile. Fantastic location too.
B. K.
Great service, fair prices. Could do with little work around to make more room as quite crowded. That would be because it's so popular though so its a negative from a positive.
C. C.
In the heart of the city with everything on our doorstep, great value for $$ with all amenities & finished off with a delicious breaky in the morning

This place is just perfect if you want some space, a spot near but not on top of the hub that is Hobart (ie its a block away, but just not on top), and some nice, good digs for your money. We stayed here for 2 nights and we will be back!
