W. C.Spacious, well appointed rooms. Friendly, helpful, obliging staff. Kitchen a little small if you wanted to create a home cooked meal. Be careful of the rooms on the end of the building. People exiting the emergency doors tend to let the doors slam and an almighty concussion resounds through the room.
M. M.Truly lovely spot in central Hobart! Accommodation is well appointed and a pleasure to stay at!
Rooms are spacious and well appointed. My room had an upstairs loft which had the main bed, everything was modern and well appointed. The view from my room was over the water to the two Mona Roma boats!
Somerset is located in downtown Hobart, close to restaurants, bars and all the main commercial office areas. Location is well suited for both business and social traveller.
The only minor gripe I have is the heater was horrendously loud. When it turned on overnight it was certainly noticeable. I wasn’t sure whether the heater in my room was failing or whether it was just that way normally?
That said, I would happy stay here again. I recommend from me!

A. C. (.Great location in amongst the action of Hobart’s waterfront. We stayed in a room with a balcony on the east side which gave us an incredible view of the sunrise. The room was warm even on a snowy day. Bua at reception looked after us very well greeting us with a big smile every time we returned. I highly recommend having a coffee on the balcony while the sun comes up and watching Hobart come alive.

Sleeping arrangements not so great as they are upstairs and it is stuffy even in cool weather (5 degrees during our stay)
Beds are in need of replacement and feel like sleeping in a ditch they are that worn out.

The accommodation, views & staff were first class. There was a hiccup with our accommodation when we arrived, the staff went beyond to make our stay one we will never forget. The reception staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Loved the little New Years treats in our room upon arrival.
The bed and pillows in room 07 are on the firm side. The hair drier is a hazard. I sliced my finger open when the hinge handle snapped closed. Might be time for an upgrade.
It was New Years, the time when we come together and celebrate, including some rather rowdy teenagers who decided to climb the Lady Nelson’s mast outside the room at 5am. Thankfully they were receptive to a polite reminder that we were sleeping inside. Perhaps too much so, one asked for my phone number. The bed hair must have been working for me! (Spoiler: I politely declined)
I. S.This is THE BEST place to stay in Hobart. Absolutely wonderful staff (Bua, Jess, Connor) and management (Shanna) - the best customer service anywhere (and I have travelled and lived in over 20 countries). The location is superb and the apartments offer all the facilities you need. HIGHLY recommended

The only downside was the breakfast the next morning, organised through the hotel but came in a takeaway bag and boxes, which is something we could have just done ourselves so didn't feel overly personalised or the "hotel experience" (maybe due to covid?). I would stay again!

M.Stayed here for 4 nights and the Location is amazing,walking distance to everything.,but for me the biggest negative point is that there aircon is on the ground floor and you will hardly get any colling upstairs,we have to put 2 fans upstairs to get a good night sleep.

Mini bar is like anywhere else overpriced but well stocked and items are in date (which if you travel a lot you know this isn’t always the case). Also is this not an amazing view to wake up to?

We became so excited when we suddenly saw 4 Dolphins just in the sea in front of our room balcony. Me and my grand daughter was so shocked and was over whelmed. When I was ready to take the photos we were bit too late.

S. W. L.We stayed here at a recommendation of a friend who lives locally and we could not be happier. The location is ideal, as you are right on the pier within walking distance to all the city sights including Salamanca Market which is just a stones throw away. The room we had was fully fitted with kitchen amenities and suited us well with the open plan bedroom located upstairs. It had a balcony which gave splendid views of the boats docked in the pier. The bathroom was good but could do with some updating soon. Parking was also not a problem as you are given a ticket which you can use in selected spots on Franklin Wharf. Although limited, we never had difficulty finding a spot for our rental car. The staff were courteous and friendly always. The only thing we noticed was that we could at times hear the family in the room next to us. However I would qualify my comment by saying that this family had very loud children! We would certainly stay here again if we are in Hobart.

Negatives - It isn't cheap to stay at, and the parking situation is an absolute joke...after having a massive day of driving came back to relax a bit before heading off again. Had to scrounge for suitable car space and due to fatigue left the little card which identifies people as staying at hotel in the glove box and within 20 minutes of returning a ticket inspector had booked me.. not ideal when you're on holidays.
L. J.The rooms are spacious and centrally located, as noted in other reviews the heaters can be noisy but I'm a heavy sleeper. Lovely view- I was looking at some huge Antarctic ship which I quiet enjoyed. The bathrooms are large but not luxurious by any means. I would stay here again for all but romantic getaways.

The rooms need to be updated, the heating is terrible and there was a constant noise above our room. With a bit of updating and reinvesting into the apartments this could be something really special.

S.Stayed here 6 nights in winter. Great views from all rooms of the water, rooms are quite large, and the loft-style arrangements make them feel even larger. Paper-thin walls mean you hear the neighbours every time they walk up those stairs… nonetheless, would stay again.

The hotel staff are wonderful, particularly Richard in reception and Carolyn in housekeeping. Parking is very limited.

Z. Z.Lovely location, great rooms and amazing views, only problem was the dust in the heaters. We informed the cleaners that it was affecting our 13 month old daughters asma and they said that they would inform maintenance, we then spent another five days with the choice of freezing or sneezing.

Staff were ok...all the furniture was chipped, scuffed or just very old. The walls were extremely thin. You could hear everything...Only real complaints.

T. M.I think it is the ideal place to stay it has kiheend of studio apartments. The staff on the front desk were very helpful and seemed to work very long hours. The room is spacious for a couple and allows for room to live rather than existing out of a suitcase.
A. B.Friendly service to start with. Be aware that the voucher for a drink at the bar next door is valid on the day you check in. Self contained rooms have lovely view over water, simple decor and the bedroom in the loft, I. E. You may need to carry the suitcase up and down the stairs. The walls are so thin I could hear the neighbours cough and sneeze. There's also low pitch noise coming through to the bedroom which was a bit annoying. There's no aircon, only a heater. Although I would probably stay there again as there is a fridge, microwave, crockery, free wifi. The location is also close to the CBD.

No valet parking which could alleviate stress. An excellent place to stay for most parts of Hobart or bus tours across Tasnania. Also many nearby restaurants
B. F.In terms of location you would be hard pressed to find better. Located in the centre of Franklin wharf (out on the pier), it is central to just about everything.
The rooms are spacious with lounge, kitchen, large bathrooms and loft bedrooms. The views in either direction look over the harbour and waterfront precinct.
Top marks for comfort, cleanliness and staff (helpful yet unobtrusive).
There were some noise issues from the service areas now and again in the early morning which may effect those who like to sleep late.
The bars and restaurants located on the same pier are excellent but there are many more within 2 minutes walk. Spoilt for choice!
3 minutes walk from Salamanca. 5 minutes walk from Battery Point. 5 minutes walk to the CBD. The ferry to MONA docks right next door.

Great location though (which is I guess where the price comes from), but the walls are paper thin so get ready to go knocking on the neighbours' doors as them talking and laughing will sound like they are in the same room. Priced like luxury, but not fitted out that way

飯店位置很好，能看日出日落，離逛街的地方也都很近，房間內部設備齊全，比較不好的是隔音有點差，浴缸不是很潔白無法泡澡。
T. M.處置一流，就在碼頭區內，窗外風景開揚。設備充足，足夠應付簡單煮食，但附近很多食肆，一般不會在房內煮吧。整體感覺不俗！
