K. M.Great location one street back from Sullivan's Cove. Walk to all the bars and eateries of both the water front and the city. Reasonable bar and restaurant on site. Very average gym but you get free passes to Hobarts aquatic centre with your room. Place feels a little dated but its very comfy and well serviced. Staff were excellent.

L.To begin your experience at the Woolstore you are greeted by such welcoming staff and a lovely reception.The apartments are roomy and impeccably clean .Once inside the room you cannot hear the traffic and it is the little extras that make you feel at home..The room service menu would put any restaurant to shame and includes a wonderful selection of the 1st rate produce Tassie has to offer...We will always stay here when visiting Hobart as they truly cater to all of your needs.Highly recommend staying here whether you are on business,travelling alone or as a family The Woolstore ticks all the boxes.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment and there was so much space it wasn't funny and amazingly great service from ALL the staff, they were super friendly and very accommodating far better than some 5 star hotels we've stayed in over the years. Can't recommend them enough! Great food too. We really enjoyed our stay that we started our trip there than came back and ended it there! We will be back for sure when and if we can.

T. 2.We just stayed this weekend in a spa suite it was a beautiful spacious room bed was so comfy the room so clean and well presented. Staff were lovely and helpful we needed a Porta cot no hassle at all and no extra cost involved . Breakfast was delicious the next morning. Was a fantastic no hassle weekend away really enjoyed ourselves highly recommend we look forward to coming and staying again.

A. E.Honestly I stayed with my love in a spa on sweet by far was the best because it not only had beautiful comfy lounges which we have been to many nice hotels never had lounges. They had literally every thing they had a oven, dishwasher, dryer, washing machine honestly if I could afford a whole week there I seriously would. The bed was so comfy n the shower to like my gosh there was so much room it was perfect. Seriously when my love n I get married n have our honey moon im going there I love this place. And even study area and tv has so many options this place is amazing.

S. E.Very over rated. Thank goodness it was only a short stay. The receptionist upon check up was so rude, didn't even take 4 steps into the reception area before she was trying to hurry the check in. Definitely no hello just "do you have a booking" the key card was thrown back on the counter to you. The constant drone like a fan that was in the room became very bothersome and when we went to reception about it on the Friday and asked about it all we got was well you are staying at a discounted special promotional price. Yea well thank god for that, definitely not worth the $1807 that would have been charged for the 3 nights. The room was spacious enough, the only cleaning member that actually talked was so very helpful with information about what to do and where to go over the weekend, she was so lovely, unlike other staff you come across in hallways they just looked up and down. I've actually stayed in camp grounds that were way better than this place. I am usually fair and very rarely say much but this place is over rated and it only has the spacious room going for it. It is our first and last stay. Just a little hint, take a print out of your booking confirmation they are good for overcharging

Next time I would book the suite as it has a separate bedroom. Booked with breakfast so reasonably priced. Jacinta in the dining room was lovely. Very friendly and helpful. Great location - close to the town centre, 5 minutes walk. Salamanca markets about 20 minutes. Handy to public transport. Linen changed every three days.

We got a great deal for accommodation and breakfast daily. The Old Woolstore apartments are a short walk from Constitution dock (3 minutes), Salamanca Market Place (5 minutes) and Hobart CBD (5 minutes). The staff are delightful. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of room in the one bedroom apartment.
The ONLY reason why I didn't rate my experience as 5 stars was the road noise. Unfortunately our apartment on the fourth floor overlooked the main road. You could hear the road noise late at night and early morning. I have stayed at the Old - Woolstore previously and not experienced the road noise, so when you're booking, request a room on the opposite side to the road and you will experience 5 star value for money!

When we wanted to stay another night, they let us swap over our breakfast to the last day easily. The only downside was the bath robes we had for our spa room did not fit us that well (We're a bigger couple) but this could be chalked up to us not asking if they provided bigger sizes. Too bad we only spent one night here in the two bedroom loft apartment. The apparent we got was well furnished and luxurious. It was very very clean and had everything we could ask for. The two bedroom apartment we stayed in had two separate toilets so two people can do their business at the same time. WiFi was very good!
Some road noise is to be expected as the hotel is near Macquarie Road but it's kept to a minimum. The hotel restaurant also served excellent fillet steak!
Will stay here again if I'm ever back in Hobart!
B. D.we had dinner friday night 7 people 5 adults and 2 children. waiting staff were attentive and professional. food from entrees to mains were delivered promptly and were delicious. childrens meals were ample and well catered. everything was above average.

Realising that it’s a COVID menu and probably restricted compared to normal. Had breakfast and no problems with asking for variations from the menu.
Had some weirdness with towels being taken and not replaced and coffee not replenished. But I’ve traveled enough to not sweat some housekeeping slips.
WiFi is good. But it’s quite, guest wise.

Nice spacious everything really, large high quality tvs, charging docks on desk to charge all that technology we have, clean, large functional bathrooms, friendly staff and always great value.
K. P.Comfortable 2 bed apartment loft, mezzanine could have done with some hanging space and mirror, a room safe would have been good too. Beautiful big modern bathroom, two toilets very convenient. TV was sufficient but limited foxtel which also didn't have a guide so you don't know what the movies are. Room service was prompt. Restaurant was nice buffet breakfast was standard like most hotels, dinner service was nice. Be sure to ask about parking when booking as it books out when busy regardless of being a guest there, street parking is okay but metered and Hobart inspectors are very efficient at handing out fines.
T. C.We stayed her back in January. In an apartment was clean and comfortable. We had a couple of chicken burgers delivered to our room before we went out to an event. They were as good as youd buy at any burger joint. Simply but tasty and well priced.

By about 5pm the first carpark gets full.
There is an overflow carpark which sufficed with plenty of room but it is not signposted or advertised very well. The reception staff did not tell me about it either.

T. V.I thought the concept and shared spaces of the building were lovely and a great credit to the buildings heritage, however the rooms also were of a heritage in their outdated and average design. For a room with a double bed for a maximum of 2 people, there were 3 chairs in the room, which i though was rather unnecassary. I felt that the overall feel of the rooms were a little outdated. During my stay i had ordered room service and had the full cooked breakfast, food was lovely, portions were generous, however the bread was soggy and rather average. Overall the stay was lovely, staff were friendly, certainly room for improvement.

J. J.We stayed in a 2 bed apartment. It was really big with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Huge living and dining area and decent size bedrooms. We asked for a cot as we're given a lovely white metal cot with soft bedding. It was a tiny bit short so if you have a tall toddler who wiggles in their sleep it may be too small. Full bathroom with separate shower and bath. Toliet in the main bathroom and a separate one. Excellent for families. It's about a 10-15 min walk into the centre of town. 5-10 min walk to the waterfront. Hotel restaurant was great for brekky and while I didn't get to use it the hotel gym was small but fully equipped.

Y. L. T.I booked a 1 bedroom apartment for 3 people through its own website. The apartment was spacious, modern and most importantly to me, clean. It has a separate toilet and bathroom, which was great and plenty of amenities like washer, dryer, dishwasher, oven etc. Location is excellent - walking distance to everywhere like the waterfront, Salamanca and city centre. Parking is ample but charged additionally per night. Would love to stay again if I return to Hobart. Have already recommended it to friends.

J. M.Lovely, clean apartments, friendly reception and quick to attend to your needs. My only complaint is that it takes a long time to get to your room from reception... I felt like I needed a golf cart to get me there. Not good when you have a disability... but then again, they may have accommodated by getting me a closer room had I mentioned that. The lecture room was comfortable and the only complaint there is that there is a small step that you have to watch out for. Maybe they could convert that step to a ramp for OH&S. Other than that, a delightful stay. Breakfast was delicious and the beds were comfortable.

Friendly team in reception. Sky bus right outside hotel if you're using airport. Will stay again.
M. S.I have stayed here about 4 times I think now and am booked in to stay again in November. I have always found it very pleasant with easy access to whatever I was in Hobart for. Accomodation is comfy and clean, the staff are generally friendly. There is cheaper around if you want to look, however I find here reasonable for what they offer and location.

Firstly the room and facilities are completely spotless. My room was well appointed, with separate shower and bath in the ensuite. The bed was comfortable with clean crisp sheets and a selection of different pillows.
The bar and restaurant are more on the expensive side, but a nice perk after a long day's travel and work.
K. T.A nice stay in a hotel with an interesting history. The old woolshed is easy to get to and the hotel rooms are quite large. We had a queen and king bed in the one room. Bathroom had a shower and bath so that was handy with kids.
b.Lovely place to stay for 5 nights, and it's very close to the convention within a few minutes by walking. The studio bedroom is spacious and fully equipped with mini pantry, dining table, washing machine and ironing, also the most important is clothes dryer on top which is very helpful.

The room is large and included a dishwasher and effective air conditioning. The hotel is located close to the water and many of the tourist areas - we haven't needed public transport.

For tourism and foot travel a place closer to the action might be a better choice. The hotel was very big and I felt a little lost staying there.
This is just my personal take on it of course from a first time Hobart experience.

Quick access to a great bar and restaurant downstairs, with a great buffet breakfast in the morning, as well as walking distance to most of the CBD. I won't be staying anywhere else on my next visit.

Half day in the 'theatre-ette': adequate AV equipment, but the back row of seats butt right up against the back wall, so no creeping round the back if you need the toilet during the lecture or presentation. Food very ordinary. Filter coffee poor. Staff bright and helpful, though. Better catering would make a big difference.
I've noted other reviews praising the food. I wonder if they use outside catering for business events like mine.

The one bedroom apartment is huge, with a laundry, kitchen, two toilets, and large living and bedroom areas.
Rooms are clean and quiet. Parking is ample, and the location is excellent, with many tourist attractions, restaurants and bars within walking distance.

We checked in on 20 Dec 2019. On 22 Dec, we requested for late check out on 23 Dec 2019. Hotel staff promised that we may check out at 1:00 pm. On 23 Dec, we went back hotel at around 12:50 and found that the key card was invalid. We asked staff to open the door as our luggages were inside. We checked out and paid the bill by credit card. Then we went out for lunch. We found that the bill amount was different from our booking amount. We went back hotel and checked for the reason. The staff said that there was late check out charge at AUD150. We negotiated and said that the staff promised us for late check out at 1:00 pm. They insisted that it was not allowed late check out and check out must be done before 11:00 am according to their policy and they believed that no staff would promised us for that request. Wow we were shocked to hear that. They lied and not responsible for what they promised. We really upset about that. We had a bad experience to stay here.

A. M.Recommended to stay here by a friend and found the Woolstore to be in fantastic location close to the wharf and Salamanca Markets an easy 10 minute walk away. We stayed in the motel side which had a huge room with 2 king size beds which was very clean and modern with recent refurbishments. Our bed and pillows were very comfortable and the room very quiet (silent really) despite being next to the car park and entrance. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was spotless and had brand new TV screens on top of a somewhat anachronistic DVD player. Bed was beyond comfortable and spoiled me over the 3 Nights I stayed there.
Parking is by arrangement (You have to book) and space is at a premium but for the location, it is a remarkable secure yet accessible.
I didnt drink at the bar, but there was the usual continental fare for breakfast as well as a range of a la carte menu items for requests outside of the ordinary.

i. h.Yes, it was over just after New year. Just found it all a bit hard for the reception staff. We tried to extend our booking and twice were referred on to the next shift. There were rooms available but in the end we just moved on. Otherewise rooms are a good size. No aircon or ventilation to the bedroom. Full breakfast $23 and quite good.

Huge bathroom and separate toilet plus kitchen. It's in the old woolstore part of the hotel on the 4th floor and accessible via lift. The history of the place is well explained throughout. The staff at check in and check out were friendly. Hobart city center and wharf are a few minutes walking distance. The beds were very comfy however the loft was very noisy due to the aircon units installed on the roof creating lots of noise and vibration. So if you are a light sleeper this may not be your pick. Parking is $10 per night in a secure car park on the property. I didn't use the gym or the restaurant so can't comment..would recommend to stay there when in Hobart

At every opportunity the Woolstore charged. Even for a single use packet of washing powder i was charged. They supplied 1 packet of powder only over 3 nights in a self contained apartment. A little ridiculous when paying over $200 a night ! Plus $10 per night for parking that was is not undercover.
Rooms are awesome and hotel is perfectly located within city limits of hobart. Would be nice to see the little things improve.
