T. K.A simply stunning hotel complimented by exemplary service! Right through from check-in, to dining across all of their establishments, we couldn’t be more impressed.
It started with a beautiful Heritage Suite, that was luxurious and welcoming. A fireplace and bathtub to top it off.
Breakfast at Peppina was excellent, we returned for dinner. High tea at Deco lounge was also fun. Make sure you grab cocktails at Mary Mary at some point.
Love it so much, we’ve already booked our return! Our new favourite destination in Hobart.
D. M.Brand new hotel at perfect location in Hobart, Tasmania. The room is beautiful and the furniture's are immaculate. The service here is exceptional and beyond other five stars hotels in Australia. Thumbs up to the housekeeping team as we can notice how spotless and high-hygienic cleaning when we were back to the room each day. Dinner at the Peppina was absolutely amazing. We also had breakfast, afternoon snack & drink at the Deco Lounge and drink at Mary Mary and we found the staffs at all of these venues are very attentive and welcoming. The management team at the Tasman are very capable and professional with an outstanding service mind. Overall, we had a memorable stay and will definitely stay here again next time we are visiting Hobart. Strongly recommended to anyone who will be traveling to Hobart in the future.

I have been to many five stars hotel in AU and this one is the most impressive one in many aspects. Service was lovely from the start to end. Food was great too. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Nice new hotel with everything required, great gym and really well appointed mini bar! Great location, easy walking to everything around town.
The rooms are on the smaller side, more suited to corporate travellers (single traveller) then a couple on holidays.
We had a room with harbour views. Upon walking home in the evening it was interesting to view from the road the other side of the hotel building and to look clear as day into hotel room bathrooms!

From the moment we walked in the staff greeted us with a glass of champagne and walked us to our room.
We had an upgraded room in the heritage section of the hotel due to my Marriott Titanium status. The room was absolutely fantastic. Amazing bed and linen, huge bathroom and a modern fire place for those winter nights.
The bed was super comfortable and room amenities such as slippers, body lotion and tea and coffee making facilities are simply top notch.
The hotel breakfast was also amazing. So much to chose from and impeccable service from all the staff encountered during our stay.
This is one of the most amazing hotels that I have ever stayed in and is truly a destination in it self.

F. F.My husband and I had an amazing stay at The Tasman. Service was top notch (we were able to check-in earlier and the staff are all super friendly saying hello wherever we go); loved the little touches in the room (hand sanitiser, masks, plush slippers, robes, shoe horn to name a few); and the breakfast was amazing (unlimited + generous spread of antipasto, fruits, yoghurt options and hot breakfast options made to order). The location is also very convenient (stroll across to Salamanca markets, short walk to Battery Point for scallop pies, across the road from MONA ferry). Solid 5/5.
J. W.I’ve got to admit we had a bit of a wobbly start with check in. And perhaps our patience was low as I had burned the back of my legs extremely badly the day prior and urgently wanted to peel my leggings off of my skin (literally) and have a cold shower. When we returned to our room, there was a knock on the door and one of the staff members had a bottle of aloe vera gel in his hands. I’ve never had such thoughtful and kind service. Sometimes things go wrong, but the management at this hotel went above and beyond to remediate.
I should add the hotel is stunning and in a superb location. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Hobart.

And boy-oh-boy, what a stay !
The hotel is brand spanking new, and build in what was a heritage building - an old post office, if I remember correctly. They’ve managed to give it a completely new identity whilst retaining the old world charm around every nook and corner.
The liberal use of wood and leather, the warmth in service and attention to detail all added to the nice touches.
Late one night, I ventured to the in-house bar, Mary Mary….it has to be the coolest bars I’ve been to in a long long time - last time a place wowed me like this, it was The Hemmesphere in Sydney.
Great collection of local Tassie Malts, friendly bartenders and a very americano vibe. If this was America of 1970’s, Mary Mary is where you’d find Don Draper having a drink.
If vermouth is your thing, do yourself a favour and as the Bartender for a Negroni !
Special Mention: April @ Concierge helped return a pair of AirPods we’d dropped somewhere in the room. The communication and the process was very smooth and the staff went out of their way, long after we’d left.

G.A Marriot Bonvoy Luxury Collection property, the service and food were both outstanding in the two dining areas I tried. The Deco Lounge and Peppina's are really wonderful for food and service. They are also well-priced, so outstanding value. Mary Mary is the bar to try and the same outstanding service.
B. M.Fantastic fitout and service! We had the pleasure of staying in a Heritage room at The Tasman for 3 nights over new years. The hotel location could not have been any better, conveniently situated next to Salamanca markets and is a short walk to the marina. The service was second to none and the rooms were incredible. The hotel restaurant and bars are great and have beautiful fitouts. Mary, Mary was our favourite!
We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel.

In all honesty I put this up, because I thought it was silly that a 1 star review was put up by someone a year before the hotel opened, but now I reckon I might just have to go for real.
M. Y.As a new hotel (opened 2 days ago), the front desk staff was incompetent and we were little unhappy with the check in the experience. However, the front desk manager, Catherine idetified the issue and rectified it right away. The hotel is a brand new with a high quality fitout.

L. G.Amazing hotel. I know they opened relatively recently, so definitely some kinks to work out. Breakfast was phenomenal. Facilities are great and updated. Room service leaves a bit to be desired but I'm sure improvements will come with time.
