Fantastic accommodation.
Clean and tidy room. All the usual amenities in the room. And the bathroom is so much bigger than any other I have ever experienced. It's actually the size of a normal bathroom.
Staff were friendly.
The attached Hotel is welcoming with food, drink, and gaming facilities.
The Salamanca markets are a short stroll as is the botanical gardens, the Marina, museum, and the CBD
S. E.Lovely staff that could not do enough for you. The room was lovely and spacious and a decent hot shower.
B. H.The food is amazing while the portions are very generous. The staff are polite yet friendly. The entire establishment is spotlessly clean, including the designated smoking areas.
Only a short walk from everything and there are bus stops on the same street.

N. B.Pool table review. So, you know, this probably doesn't concern anyone actually reading this.
I have never, ever, been in a place where three tables do not have the correct balls. It's like maybe the room has the right number of balls between the five tables, but on any one individual table, good luck.
By the way, this is not a one-off. They have a box of balls at the ready to replace any balls you might be missing.

M. G.We eat regularly, on Wednesday night in particular. Very friendly staff, steaks $10 off on a Wed night. Specials on other nights. Our favourite pizza place too. Can order pizza to take away. Delicious, but we always need to take half home. Worth a try anytime, especially winter as there's always a welcoming fire.
B. H. (.Just a cheap room nothing special at all, until I i went downstairs and found 6 pool tables, arcade games, air hockey table,.. and a giant 6 track slot car set with a bar right next it!!
And then happy hour was on almost the whole time I was there because of some football game. Ahhaahahh.
We ended up staying in the the hotel playing games and drinking beer the whole time instead of going out anywhere lol.
Food was really good too. Staff really friendly.
M. K.We stayed here for just the one night after our flight got cancelled from Hobart airport. We had a great experience with the friendliest of staff. We spoke with Tom on the phone to make the last minute booking and when we arrived he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Room was clean, comfortable and wasn't noisy. The bar area seemed sociable but due to the early morning flight we were unable to experience this aspect. Well done Tom and the Welcome Stranger!
P.Quiet ambiance when we visited after the Sydney to Hobart race. There's plenty of pool tables to have a game and good beer selection. It's what you'd call a standard pub. There's nothing to fault with it but it doesn't stand out either. If you're after a more lively ambiance head to a waterfront venue.

R. B.Booked executive room with en-suite number 7. Spacious, quiet, clean. Everything worked well, and there was breakfast and secure parking. Just beware the little step to the bathroom.

K. S.I only stay here when coming to Tassie. Best staff, best atmosphere, good breakfast, nice rooms. The rooms that cost not have better water pressure. Balancing the hot/cold in budget rooms is interesting. That said, it's cozy and affordable for families.

L. L.Fantastic people who work super hard, especially Tom, he was such a solid guy. Great city location, located within the heart of Hobart. Amazing food for reasonable prices, steaks are phenomenal. Lots of sales, such as steak night/chicken parm night. Comfy beds and sizeable rooms. Free breakfast and parking and biscuits all included with your room.

J. T.Room is generally okay and there is free continental breakfast provided. Was given a room and noticed ants crawling around the dressing table and the wall near the bed. The reception quickly sourced another room for us to change. Quite a number of faculties as shown in the pictures. Walking distance to Salamanca market and farm gate market too.
D. P.Got a fantastic last minute deal. Check in was quick and thorough. Room was clean and provided everything required. Short walk to all CBD tourist attractions. Metered parking on the street if needed.

There is plenty of more expensive accomodation in the area, but I chose this hotel, and I am very happy with what I experienced.

z. d.It has free parking and WiFi which is fantastic but the problem is the room is old, the floor makes noises which is annoying, there is alot of music, people singing, dancing and screaming and people slamming the door hard at night and in the early morning.

r. m.Its a good hotel reasonable service rooms are dated but have everything that you would expect your personal bathroom includes toilet shower and bath you have a kettle with tea and coffee and breakfast is complimentary served down stares you do have access to a washing machine but it will cost $5 per cycle in coins and the dryer is the same I was happy with my stay and I'll be returning in the near future
