J. O.Visited with a group from a club and had a great and hearty meal. Friendly staff and a very good menu on offer. The hotel is set well back on the high side of the main road and doesn't look the best from a distance but worth visiting.
J. H.What a great country pub. Great indoor and undercover outdoor dining areas with spectacular views overlooking the beautiful countryside. Very friendly and helpful staff Great variety of food and value for money. Beer is always cold, Say hello the most hard-working compassionate lady I know who is the owner,Stetchy. Accommodation is very clean and tidy with shared bathrooms. Thumbs up.
S. T.This is a fantastic old country boozer, off road parking for motorcycles, $65 single room rate with super clean shared bathrooms. The publican is super welcoming and a sweetheart. Bistro food is also great. I'll be back for sure.👌👌

A. L.They accommodated our booking last minute. They were able to provide a gluten free, fructose free and dairy free meal for my intolerant partner and I was so grateful. The salt and pepper squid was delicious and so was the vegetarian napoli pasta! Highly recommend stopping here!
G. W.Great country pub. Were very understaffed on a long weekend but the chick did a great job doing 4 peoples job. The Parma was great (chips average which is a shame). The S&P squid was unexpectedly delicious and I would recommend some music in the venue to add some form of vibe rather than the sounds of kids screaming

S. M.Great meal here on Saturday. I had lovely calamari and my buddy though he'd died and gone to heaven when his Beef 'n' reef arrived (he was a big fan of the garlic sauce especially). The back deck has a great view across the river and everything is looking green and lush after a bit of rain.

A. J.It's mostly a restaurant, pub, events place. The rooms are few but sufficient. Bathrooms and toilets are shared. Clean and beautiful surroundings. I would definitely come back and stay. Beautiful people, service and surrounds.

R. W.Attended for a feed, staff were over-run and clearly wasn't enough for the amount of patrons, however they allowed their emotions to come to the surface and they were visibly frustrated. Ultimately ended up leaving without ordering food due to the behaviour of the staff at the time. Venue looked okay, run down and old fashioned, however its a country pub/hotel - these places thrive on nostalgia.

P. M.Great venue offering meals, beverages, accomodation and live entertainment. Would describe as historical, rustic, clean and tidy establishment with great staff. I have stayed here a number of times, great chef always pumps out top quality meals. The views of surrounding area are fantastic. Its also on the Gippsland rail trail and is popular as a base for people completing it. They also have secure parking for motorbikes.
E. K.Dec 2018 - A huge country pub on top of the hill with great views from the rear of the pub in a large covered area with plenty of seating. Also has a smaller dining area, plus the bar and the front verandah. Friendly staff who are up for a chat. Small front bar menu plus the extensive rear lounge menu. Food was cooked and presented well. Will eat there again.
Has flat ground parking around the back so you don't have to use the incline at the front. Unfortunately all of the carpark is gravel.
P. M.'Stretch', the manager/owner looked after us very well here. We were riding the rail trail. The food was great, no, REALLY great. The beds were warm and comfortable and the rooms were clean.

D. F.Great view out the back, friendly locals a good food, although bar prices higher here than most others in the area,but a small price difference if you enjoy watching the sunset over the Bairnsdale and river flats from a quite watering hole.
J. D.Dinner for two was perfect. My partner had the chicken scallopini and was delighted with it, I had the reef and beef which was cooked to perfection. The outdoor area at back of hotel was perfect on a mild night with beautiful views.😊
