F. Z.We went there for Easter holiday and I had one of the most romantic and relaxing holiday in my life. Food and wine was great. Staff were very friendly. Our room was clean. I would recommend it for couples who want to spend some quality time together and enjoy some nice wine with amazing vineyard view.

The restaurant accommodated for food intolerances, but staff serving the food seemed a little disconnected. The venue itself was stunning. We got to see the 1 week old alpaca.

Excellent value for money. We cannot wait to go back and visit again soon.

P.My husband and I were just recently married at Cleveland Winery on the Chardonnay Terrace, but first of all we would like to make special thanks to the Event Manager, Lauren, for her professionalism in organising everything to make our day special which was amazing. Our stay in the Homestead of 2 nights which we shared with our closest family was just fantastic. The rooms and bathrooms were extremely clean and we all enjoyed the friday night in the green room playing pool. As for the reception in the Great Room, I can't say enough about the quality of the food which was exceptional. Thanks to the catering manager Shan who ensured that everything ran like clockwork. All of our guests praised the entire team and chefs who were so efficient with their attention to the service and the selection of wines to complement the food was fantastic. We have also attended Cleveland at other times for lunch on a saturday, and you need to try the wood fired pizzas, they are really quite good. We strongly recommend Cleveland for either a meal in the restaurant or a function like our wedding. You won't be disappointed. If I could give them 10 stars, I would
A. E.We had our wedding at Cleveland Winery this weekend. We cannot thank enough Event Manager Lauren who made our wedding day so magical. We found this winery online and decided to check it out. From our first meeting Lauren was very professional, organised, smiley and easy to deal with. Lauren also recommended a local florist Joy to organise our flowers. Joy exceeded our expectations on every level, the flowers were the freshest one could possibly find, arranged perfectly with a great sense of taste and class. Our guests and us stayed at Homestead which was spectacular. It had gorgeous vintage furniture that looked amazing at our pictures but at the same time all the bathrooms were modern and recently renovated. On the day, everything was on schedule and we did not need to worry about anything. We would like to thank the restaurant manager Shan who was very helpful, always available and looked after us all the way through. Other staff members, Chandu, Matt, the lady on the reception (sorry we did not remember all the names) also provided second to none service and always with big smiles. The food was all freshly made, super tasty, and nicely served. Not to mention beautiful views of the winery itself, there are so many picturesque and photo-perfect spots! We think that they really need to focus on advertising their wedding service more because it was just splendid. Thank you everyone for making this day as special as it could be. Eva & Firas
B. H.We have stayed at Clevland Winery 3 times now, it is a lovely place. We thoroughly enjoy the delicious food and wine. This time was slightly disappointing due to our heater not working (and it being the middle of winter). We were moved to another room in another building which was not as nice as the original room we had. It was very noisy overnight with a condensor outside our window and hard to sleep. We also had a guy watching footy on the TV just outside the door of our room at midnight. Not ideal.
We understand these things happen but there was really no apology for the inconvenience, and we were a bit annoyed. We have little kids and don't get away a lot, we wanted it to be perfect.

L. B.We stayed at Cleveland Winery for our wedding anniversary. Views are amazing and staff were wonderful but unfortunately a few things left us disappointed. The steak was sour tasting (chef said that was normal), wine at the restaurant was sold out (how does this happen at a winery?), uncomfortable bed and noisy room above us.

I found it all a bit disappointing and ordinary. Food was ho hum. Glassware and wait service very average. Room clean but dated. Very stuffy. The room fridge was very noisy and kept me awake until I realised what was making all the white noise- once unplugged, I was able to sleep. Until the person in the next room started snoring. Wine tasting was rushed- location where it was held very grubby.
It has loads of promise and perhaps I just hit a rough patch after Covid. I only give the warts and all review so simple things could perhaps be improved and bring it up a notch. Nice people though!

R. B.Beautiful spot, close to Melbourne. Wine tasting and restaurant with views. Lovely grassed shady areas to relax, seats sprinkled throughout the gardens. Easy to find with signage on main road, plenty of parking on site.
M. F.The grounds are beautiful, but the rooms and amenities could do with the same love and attention. Nothing was dirty per se, but everything could do with some preventative maintenance and renovation.
Little things like the shower door not sealing, meaning water went all over the floor, shower head being only 1800mm off the ground, cheap toilet paper and amenities (tea coffee, kettle bed) etc made the experice less great that it could be.
The restaurant food was very nice, but again the rooms were dated, with lots of spiderwebs littered with dead bugs and the table service was less than impressive.
Even the on site activities (archery, driving range, segway tours) were not running and the pool table had a big rip in the cloth with well worn cues.
There's nothing bad about the place, but I wouldn't go here again. It is however in the process of changing owners from the Chinese owned Grange Group to a local owner, so perhaps things will improve in the future.

T.Many thanks to the wonderful team from Cleveland Winery whom have helped make our Wedding day all the more special. After a whirlwind of a year left behind we were very lucky to have found our place with Cleveland. From our first consultation with Lauren - she made us feel at ease; nothing was too hard and her communication was on point. Our wedding day saw Shan and his team pull miracles - one after another. He is an extremely attentive wedding organiser and made our day so much easier. His professionalism and ability to pull everything together really helped complete our special day. Needless to say; the food was also a great highlight. From the amazing woodfire pizzas to the lamb cutlets, you guys have truly got the menu down pat. The venue in itself was astounding! Thank you to all the caretakers of the beautiful vineyard, your upkeep on the garden and surrounds are impeccable - our photographers/videographers had a field day out and were spoilt for location. Just an all round amazing experience for my wife and I - best wishes to everyone at Cleveland Winery (including Sue for setup, Susanne at reception and Matt for the wine tasting) and looking forward to our next visit. T. H.Great pizzas & wine. Under ground cellar was something different to explore. The property was just stunning. Only thing was I booked a table on the verandah and the ladies didn't seem organised and we didn't get the table I booked. Only minor but really wanted the table outside. Maybe next time
D. W.We received a Red Balloon voucher and were really looking forward to our visit. The grounds and gardens are amazing. The underground cellar for our wine tasting was interesting and the guide was really informative.
The restaurant is a large room with huge ceilings so we nabbed a spot by the open fire. Beautiful! Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and we were served immediately. The entrees were fantastic (scallops and prawn consomme), the main meals very very good (lamb shanks and salmon). The dessert was very disappointing (mousse cake garnished with tinned fruit - mass produced, terrible). Cheese platter better as a dessert.
Did not consider staying due to bad reviews about accommodation. Local pub for pre drinks, awesome, local vibe. Township is cute as.

T. P.In February 2019 I visited Cleveland Winery for three days and two nights for a work team building function. The venue, food and staff were exceptional. To start with the facilities - absolutely stunning views, manicured gardens with countless spaces to sit and enjoy. The rooms were immaculate and clean, with a mini fridge and tea/coffee amenities. Every meal was terrific, including morning/afternoon teas. I have never had buffet style food that was so nutritious and flavoursome, and even though we were a large group there was never a time where we had to wait long before plates were replenished. Likewise the tables were always cleared promptly. The staff were wonderful and kind - nothing was too much trouble and they made our stay seamless. I did not organise the function but having been a guest who thoroughly enjoyed my stay, I couldn’t recommend this place enough!
C. H.A magical wedding venue! The staff here are outstanding. Lauren and Shaun were pivotal to our amazing wedding and are just gold! The accommodation is fantastic and the view from the gardens of the rolling hills is exceptional. The restaurant, food and wine are world class and just outstanding value.
T. C.I stayed here for two nights with my partner. It was good, without being great. All the staff were really attentive and friendly and the grounds (vineyard, cellar door etc...) were beautiful. However, the rooms were a bit dated and the food at the restaurant was a little bit hit and miss. The pizzas we had were excellent, but the steak I asked for to be cooked rare (@ $40) came out closer to medium. Similarly the wine was just OK. At the prices you were paying you would hope for a little better. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. If it were a little cheaper, or things were just a little nicer, I'd be rating it four stars. However my overall experience was just above average.

Wine tasting was very enjoyable and love the unique venue underground. Happily took an assorted box of wine home to enjoy later. Location and grounds were very picturesque highly recommend.
L.Amazing wedding venue - we were so happy with everything Cleveland provided us for our wedding reception. The staff were so helpful and accommodating and made the entire planning process so easy. The good and great: wonderful location and well kept grounds make it beautiful even on a gloomy day. Staff were generally friendly and welcoming. Amenities were generally adequate.
The wine was decent and well priced
The not so good: stayed in a deluxe king room. Thinnest mattress we've experienced in a long time and very clear that the two mattresses were pushed together (could even feel the bump where they met in the middle). Many places do this but at least use an additional thin actual king on top to create a join. Very uncomfortable sleep.
Cellar door was odd..inexplicable 'timed tastings' and staff who didn't know the product well enough not to go off script and seemed frazzled by more than 4 customers. Thankfully these points should be easy to fix. With so many other excellent cellar doors nearby to see how its done should be easy.
Cannot comment on other amenities or restaurant.
M. B.A little secret getaway with stunning gardens and grounds. The photos on the website don't do the property justice! We had a lovely work Christmas weekend here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
L. M.We stayed here for two nights after getting a red balloon experience voucher for a lunch and wine experience. Accommodation was nice, without being 'luxury'. Pizza lunch was really good with great views of the lake and surrounding property. Got to see some cows and alpacas whilst enjoying a walk around. Two weddings were held on the first night of our stay, it was a tad awkward hanging around outside our room in the beautiful weather when wedding guests started to arrive and gave us funny looks as we werent guests of the weddings. When the wedding concluded, slamming of doors continued for just under an hour. We also had a lower level room which meant guests leaving the Venue were walking past whilst talking loudly around midnight. The food we had for dinner was good at best. The roti and vegetable dish was described as being an aromatic and spicy dish, however was very bland. The sticky date pudding was also dry and had a small amount of butterscotch sauce.
Despite the above, The staff and service here at Cleveland is above exceptional with friendly staff all very welcoming. The bed was also very comfortable and the buffet breakfast was enjoyable!
S. H.Stunning location, beautiful buildings, good rooms. The wine is terrible, either invest in it or stop making it, the restaurant is appalling - cooked carpaccio? Carpaccio and scallops on the same plate? Flat beer, dessert from Woolworths. Eat elsewhere.
M. M.My cousin had her wedding here and the winery was fantastic. It’s an amazing backdrop and the staff couldn’t have been better. The dinner was amazing and the drinks kept flowing. Would recommend this venue to anyone!
V. S.Went here recently for dinner. The service, food and drinks were amazing. Despite driving over an hour to get here it was well worth it. Also did the wine tasting which I highly recommend. The lady conducting the tasting was exceptionally knowledgeable and knew her products. Will definitely be coming back.

Everything about our visit here was positive. The staff were extremely friendly all around the ground. The wine tasting was a definite highlight to the day, and the lady who staffed the cellar was very knowledgeable on the wines she was serving. Next was the restaurant, which was an equally fantastic experience. We originally sat outside, although moved indoors before our food came because it was a little too bright, bit the outside views are great!
The pizzas we ordered were delicious and all cooked outside in the woodfire oven. The Pinot noir complimented the meal perfectly and the cheese platter was delicious.
After lunch we wandered around the winery itself, which is quite beautiful and even took a stroll down to where the animals are kept. The sheep and alpacas were weary at first, although they did approach is and allow us to take some photos later on.
I would certainly recommend this to anyone visiting the Macedon ranges area.
P. D.What a lovely place. We held a family gathering in one of their many outdoor areas that overlooked their vines. On a hot afternoon, it was lovely. Finger food was also tasty.
V. M.Great experience at The Grange. The location was lovely, the facilities top notch, but the best was the staff. They were attentive and no request was too outrageous. The staff went out of their way to make sure all of my needs were met - from food allergies to evening projections.
We took over the Homestead and I highly recommend it for small organizations or families. The central lounge areas, and dining areas added to our experience by allowing us to build stronger relationships.
Definitely recommend this place to others!

A. K.A gorgeous spot for a wedding ceremony, accommodation and reception. I love the lake and there are so many great spots for photos. The staff are lovely and very professional. I have no hesitation recommending Grange Cleveland to wedding couples l speak to.
M. S.Room is ordinary, view of water tanks, pump switched on at 6:00am and woke us up. When we arrived hot and bothered we were looking forward to a drink and a snack Our fridge only had glasses not even a jug or bottle of water. No ice either or wine glasses or wine. Considering this is a winery and says it is 'luxury accommodation' it was a big disappointment. The stairs leading to our room were very dusty, not a good impression, and the building a glorified tin shed.

Unorganized not enough room for things and the price of a drink was just ridiculous. I hope to come back to see the winery for itself but the event that happened there I wouldn't recommend.
