Awesome hostel each shower/toilet is separate. Very comfortable beds with privacy curtains. A massive walk in fridge for food srorage with the best orgnization system I've come across in hostels in the forum of provided food baskets with name and dates. The staff are friendly. The only thing that can be improved upon is the Wi-Fi coverage not being available in all rooms it is acsseable in all common area's. Alot of thought has been put into this hostel.

The room (4 beds, women's) was clean and the beds were made when I arrived. The bathrooms, however, were located a little bit far from my room, and none of them were really clean. Full bins, hair in the shower... minus 1 star here! But the breakfast was great, there was a possibility to make my own pancakes, very delicious! I didn't store any food as I only stayed for 1 night, but they give you baskets and food labels. Friendly staff, provide you with towels if you need them.

Pro: The beds are veeeery comfy and you have a lot of privacy (curtain). Everything is clean and the bathrooms are great! Loved it. Con: The “luggage room” is next to the entrance. It’s not a room, you just put your stuff under the stairs. If you want a little more security you have to rent a locker.

Clean and nice hostel. We can enjoy the barbecue of Thursdays. The rooms have a good size and the beds are pretty comfortable. Bathrooms and kitchen are very good! Breakfast is included (cereal, juice, toast and jam)

Tiny hostel with big bed. The atmosphere is quite nice. The lobby plays background music until late. In the room for 6 female, the bed is nice, but there's a lot of noise beside the room. You can easily hear people talking. There are some toilets and bathrooms out of order. So pick the right time to go. Kitchen is in the lobby. There's free BBQ on Thursday night. Staffs are friendly. Have $20 deposit for the keys, bed sign and one towel. If you lost the key, have to pay $10.

Good location in the city of Melbourne. Toilets and shower rooms are generally clean, I like that they are regularly maintained and cleaned every day. Good customer service. Relatively comfortable bed. Liked that there are curtains at our bed that we can draw to get privacy. Some guests made noise late at night which disturbed my rest. It has free breakfast. In places like the rooftop view, I feel like it might need new chairs. Good laundry washing machines. Wi-fi Service is unstable, sometimes it is good, sometimes it is bad.

The management and reception staff are just awesome and helpful! The cleanliness is good and who doesn't like a free breakfast. Pricing is great for location. Also their beds have curtains which was nice for privacy and just being able to do your own thing without having to worry about disturbing other guests. Overall my experience here has been nothing but a lovely one and I couldn't recommend a better backpackers. Great memories.

Great hostel. Rooms are comfy, staff is friendly, breakfast is great (cook your own pancakes among other things). There's good privacy between beds and even the 16 bed dorm is pleasant to stay in. For 175aud a week it's a great place to stay as a student while looking for a more private apartment.

My friend and I went to have a breakfast this morning, and the girl (the blond one) who was serving not only made us an incredible coffee but also she was really nice. Nice and clean and really good location, only real downside is lack of laundry and the kitchen can be a bit crowded. Nice rooftop good for meeting people. Still doing work to it but it's shaping up nicely. Stayed there for a month from mid feb to mid march. Still a few creases to iron out but really enjoyed my time there and met some great people. Cool hostel. You can sleep for $25 a day in a 12 beds room. The showers are great. Includes breakfast. Beds are nice. Nice roof. The main thing I didn't like is that there are no activities. So if you travel alone it will be hard at first to make some friends

Good place with most areas inside the hostel clean. Rooms are good with enough charging points for everybody and a safe to keep your stuff. Barbecues on the beautiful rooftop and a lot of fun. Not very expensive as well if you take the weekly deal. Would aurely recommend.

Bathrooms could use a little more love and the kitchen area is small for the number of guests, but the bunks are curtained and the walls are very well sound proofed. The roof is a great place to hang out with cool people.

Absolute bargain to grab a bunk for the evening post an event in the city and before hopping an early country train the next morning. A few blocks from the station, in the midst of the city, security at the door. Warm & cozy bed with nice, fresh linen. Clean, modern bathroom with soft-close toilet lid. Fellow guests were quiet and respectful (pack an eye mask and ear-plugs anyway). There's unsecured lockers in the room and paid ones at/near(?) reception. Free breakfast in the morning (not sure what that's like) from 7:30am. Apparently there's also a rooftop area and lounge with a pool table too - didn't make time to check those out. There is a USB & power point at your bed too 😃 The staff were lovely, and a lady was practicing yoga in the hall in the morning too 🙏 5 star rating - as it was spot-on for what I used it for. If you're after a hotel-hotel, this is probably not your place. It is what it is and it's damn good value for that! 👌🙂🌻

One of the best hostel where I've been to. Staff really friendly and very helpful. The size of the beds it's bigger than the normal I think and I found it very comfortable. Movie night every Sunday with free popcorn, free bbq during the summer once a week, cheese and wine tasting and more other things to get people evolved and to. Clean rooms and a lot of toilets/showers in 2 floors and it means that you don't have to wait for a warm shower in cold days like these. In the middle of CBD and inside the free tram zone, close to every thing and all the shops around the area. I really recommend it.

The staff was always kind however they were constantly frazzled be it the cleaning ladies running out of sheets, the clerks lack of training and the general lack of staff.Kitchen? what kitchen absolute joke. The bathrooms are hands down the most amazing thing I've ever seen in a hostel, they're brand new hence 1⭐. some beds come with a light and socket and they're fairly new so comfort and quiet 1⭐. locker in room plus ample storage below each bed. Don't bother connecting to the Wi-Fi. Its also full on schoolies and gap year party animals expect to hear shouting, banging, screwing everything as it is not sound proof. The rooftop is not fully open for security reasons? too bad, game room downstairs is pretty okay 1⭐.

Overall a nice hostel. Smaller than the average hostel, which means a smaller than average kitchen - that can mean there's some traffic at busy times, but it also means it's fairly clean. They also supply pancake batter in the morning. There's individual little shower & toilet rooms which I think is a nice touch. The lockers in the rooms are a great size. Individual USBs/plugs by the beds are outrageously rare in Australia. Staff is almost always there and has been very accommodating so far. Most importantly, and this sets Europa apart from most places, is that they have free WiFi that you can access in most of the property. 4 stars because for me the kitchen is just a bit too small (2 fridges that are bursting full, and not enough basic cutlery), but other than that it's incredible for the price.

Toilets are a bit small and nasty, but overall I liked the place. They have extension cord so you have plugs at the beds, and there's lockers next to the beds so there's places to put your stuff (very useful for top bunk as you can put stuff on top of the lockers), however they don't provide padlocks and my locker didn't even lock with one. I'd appreciate a reading light by my bed and padlocks available (maybe with a deposit). Also the WiFi is pretty good but a little unreliable, if you're a student you may be able to access eduroam from next door.

Here is a good place to stay at Melbourne few days for backpackers or people who want to save more money. However,you cannot compare it with the hotel which cost 120/night. So in this cheaper price, the environment, equipments and rooms are accepted. They provide the iron cabinet for you but you need to prepare yourself lock and the lock needs a little big one. Also, they provide the lockers need to pay and it’s outside the rooms. You can borrow the cup here for 1 dollar and it can be refund. They also provide plates, pots, cutlery, forks, knives, toaster, kettle, and towel. If you need hair dryer, you can borrow from them, just remember to bring your slippers. They provide pancake flour to let you make pancakes by yourself as breakfast, from 7:30-9:30am. Wifi here is weak, you can hear people’s voice in your room,however, they all can be accepted in this price.

Europa Melbourne is a pleasant hostel with friendly staff and a perfect location right in the middle of Melbourne. The two people bedrooms are modern, clean and not too small for two; the prices are moderate. Moreover, the breakfast is for free (Toast and cereals), and the common areas have a comfortable atmosphere. Not five stars since the shared bathrooms are modern and new, but very dirty. The accommodation offers a nice rooftop area; however, the smell of weed is just disgustingly strong, and you can already smell it in the staircase. Overall, a good choice for travellers.

Perfect location, good breakfast (pancakes and tea/coffee in the kitchen; toast, cereals and juice in the basement lounge), all the staff I dealt with were really friendly and helpful - one even went to make the bed for me so I could have an early check in :) The beds have privacy curtains with individual lights and sockets (including USB). I bet you could meet a lot of people there if you can break into the groups (a lot of longer term residents). They also have movie nights on Sundays (though I didn't go). · Wi-Fi was terrible- I often had to get out of the hostel to use Melbourne city's VicFree Wi-Fi. The kitchen and storage area is too small for the numbers and has no cups! You have to pay AUD 1 deposit to get a cup, yet in the basement lounge they serve juice and toast (for breakfast) on non-reusable plastic cups/paper plates...what a waste. Also, the main lounge is basically the dining area to eat from once you've cooked as it's attached to the kitchen - not the best for mingling if not eating self cooked meals.
