Great place for a backpacker. Restrooms pretty clean and maintained . Your shared room are tidy and cleaned regularly. 24 hr kitchen with almost all utensils required for a basic meal available and enough storage space. Tea coffee n milk for free. A little heavy on the pocket as compared to some accommodation near by. Having said that u get what u pay for. Enjoy the stay.

Fun hostel with really great staff! All around great vibe - not too quiet but not too crazy. We stayed here a few times over a couple months, and each time was consistently good. The kitchen is big and regularly cleaned. They sell alcohol in the main lounge, but it’s not a bar. They also have activities every night (trivia with free drink prizes, karaoke, bar hopping, etc). They also have a secure parking lot for $4 a night. Best part is that they’re very sustainable and eco-friendly! Apparently they’re a carbon neutral hostel! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for budget accommodation in Melbourne.

Such lovely and welcoming staff and guests! Great and cosy atmosphere with an awesome kitchen, updated and clean facilities, and a real cool lounge area. Super chuffed how affordable it was to stay (with $4 a night parking in a secure area) yet its really good location with St Kilda Esplanade only a 15 minute walk or so and a tram stop right in front for easy access into the city. Became quite comfortable especially for having only stayed a few nights, would definitely recommend and return!

It is more of a long term residence than a hostel. The staff is GREAT, always smiling and helpful.
People in both of my dorms had stayed there for over a month, so it was a strange feeling for a solo traveler (not really a backpacker vibe, more of a residence).
It’s definitely the best hostel in St Kilda, I stayed in 4 of them. Not exactly the best location (a 10 minute walk from the beach/restaurants) but the vibe is better than the other ones.
They have a lot of activities and help you with travel recommendations too.

A fantastic place to stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location is amazing as it's not far to the beach and only 1 short tram ride in to the city centre. The room was clean and very comfortable. Having tea and coffee facilities in the room was very appreciated.

This hostel is just amazing. Very good for socializing, chilling or party.
Everything is very clean and the staff is just super friendly. They help you out with whatever is needed.
Especially Ray and Juan are the nicest receptionist I ever meet!!!

This is the best hostel I experienced for sure. The staff are amazing and become just friends to you. It's a great place to meet people. It's very social but is not a party hostel which for me was perfect. It is clean, offers plenty of activities and is environmentally friendly which is a big plus. Locationwise is also amazing, there is a Skybus from the airport that will drop you right outside, short walk to beach and shops and has a tram stop to the city literally over the road. More importantly it's a home away from home. Over my 3 years in Australia I probably spent nearly a year there on and off. I made friends for life (including staff) and really couldn't recommend a better place in Melbourne.
A. C.
One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Most people who are staying here are on a working holiday visa and are all excited to meet new people. Everyone has a story to share and can help you find work. The staff is super friendly. I recommend staying for 1 week at a time as you get a discount coupon and a slightly cheaper rate. Anyone coming to Melbourne on a working holdiay visa, this is the place you want to be. And its right near a tonne of fun bars and pubs too.
M. B.
Great place to stay in this area! The staff are incredibly kind, positive, and helpful. Easy walk to many different shops, restaurants, and other things one may need while traveling (post office, groceries)
Nightly events organized by staff allows you to be involved and meet others if you so choose. Rooms are clean, space throughout had good energy, and easy Uber pick up spot out front.
:)

The staff are friendly and nice and always there to help you it's a great hostel if your just passing by or working there day by day as it's quiet enough at night to get a good night sleep and it's never too busy to use the kitchen etc I enjoyed my stay there. Only problem I had is there just too many drugs there all the time so you have alot of junkies staying there and the staff don't seem botherd about people doing drugs on the property only issue I had but for the money it was great

I stayed with my teenage daughter for her to compete in a State swim carnival. On arrival I thought we might have made a mistake and there would be a lot of noise at night. I was so wrong! We didn't hear a peep. The room was nicely appointed with a 'new' feel. The shower was fabulous! The bed was very comfortable. The shared kitchen is very well appointed. Whilst it was busy with young people from all over the world, they were a lot of fun. Carparking behind the secure gate was very inexpensive and I was very much surprised how much we enjoyed out stay. We often travel to Melb for swim competitions and will stay with Habitat HQ from now on. We've even passed on this little gem to swim friends!

One of the best hostels so far! I stayed in habitat for 7 weeks. I slept in different rooms and the beds were always comfortable. All positive:
- clean
- big kitchen
- good vibe
- free wifi
- near to public transport
- close to the supermarket, city and beach.
I definitely recommend this place!

This is by far the best hostel I have stayed at, and I've devoured a few hostels. I stayed here for about 5 months back in 14/15 and it was awesome, the rooms and kitchen are clean and nice and the staff is helpful as well. The main thing that I liked about this hostel is the public room, which is quite large making it fairly easy to communicate with fellow backpackers. If you're looking for a chilled out hostel with a lot going on, this is definitely the place! 5/7 would recommend.
C. C.
Great hostel, definitely one of the nicest I've been to in terms of facilities. Everything is very new and clean. The free parking was very useful for us with our car and with the price of parking in the city. Kitchen is a bit small given the amount of people and the wifi limit is quite small but the beds were comfortable and the location is great for walking to St Kilda beach. It's more expensive than other hostels in the centre but depending what you're looking for it could be right for you!
M.
I've only been there for 2 nights but from what I've seen it is a great hostel! Rooms are clean, bathrooms are huge and well equipped, the free breakfast is alright (just get up early to grab a couple slices of toast and some cereals) and the kitchen offers enough space for everyone. The free WiFi wasn't too fast and disconnected when changing floors (might have been my phone) but at least it's free and you can top up really cheaply!
Of course you don't have that familiar family feeling like you have it in smaller hostels but there's always people to do different activities with, may it be playing soccer in the park, having a nice chat with other travellers or simply enjoying one of the hundreds of movies in the TV room.
All in all I really enjoyed my short stay and will definitely go back if I come to Melbourne again.
P. P.
Great hostel with friendly staff!
Especially love the 3 persoons rooms (if you're working) and the garden is lovely in the summer :)
They have a pool table, good and clean showers, an on site bar and lots of activities going on.
Z. F.
Great staff/available 24hrs, various activities, professional backpacker environment, very clean. Parking - don't be cheap and get a ticket - just park on site.
One thing turned into another and I ended up staying at this hostel for a little over 4 months. Things might be a little different during the summer peak season, but I would highly recommend this place based on my April - August stay.
T. M.
The kitchen facilities were fantastic but could get quite busy at times. All the staff are so lovely and have a sense of humour. My partner and I booked online and found a great rate. Definitely worth it to see what deals the hostel can book for airport transfers and tours.
N. S.
I stay at the habitat HQ, the staff is very good and very friendly, helpful. The hostel is very nice and clean. There is an activity every night which makes it fun like karaoke, Mario Kart. If you need to wash your clothes they’ve got washers and driers. If you wanna cook your own meal, there’s a big kitchen with ample storage space.
For the location, it’s not too far from the city and there’s a tram stop almost in front of the hostel. It’s a pretty fun place to hang out at if you’d rather not go outside. Do note that there’s only 500mb of WiFi per day per person, you’d have to purchase additional data if you wanted more 😋.
I. F.
Reasonable price. Good toilets and shower facilitys. Downside was alot of backpackers living here for weeks/months so shared room was very much treated like some peoples private room. Belongings everywhere/territorial. Not a place to stay to get rested over a couple of days.
S. H.
Service at the front desk is great and 24-7. Parking lot is a nice perk. Facility is pretty clean. Not allowed to bring in alcohol nor guests. Bath towels not included, $2 for hire. Had a free bbq one night which was good.
C. A.
I am currently staying here and is by far a GREAT hostel!
Everything here is well done. The service is excellent and the staff and people are friendly. All in all a good hostel to be in. I hope that the people here read this review. I have been in many hostels and this is by far one of the best.
Keep up the good work! :)
T. P.
Cheap prices for a decent hostel in the middle of everything and just outside the city. Easy for transport as it is near multiple tram stops and walking-distance from local shops, and the St Kilda beach. Cheap drinks and easy to make friends. Lots of fun stuff to do like play pool or watch TV in the TV Room. Free breakfast if you wake up esrly enough! Beds are a little creeky but that's expected with a hostel. Not a good view from the windows but still a good place!
A. L.
Clean washrooms, spacious rooms with ample outlets, and large common area. Close to the heart of St. Kilda and other hostels, superb location. Easy to meet people. My favourite hostel thus far. Would come back and stay again if I am in Melbourne. Thanks!
D. D.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Habitat HQ for 3 nights during winter. The reception staff were extremely friendly people. I spent quite a bit of time conversing with Genevieve who was able to point out good places to visit.
It’s an affordable accommodation within Melbourne that is frequented by backpackers and young adults. There is an activity every night which makes it fun like karaoke, trivia, Mario Kart and whatnot. If you need to wash your clothes they’ve got washers and driers. If you wanna cook your own meal, there’s a surprisingly big kitchen with ample storage space.
In terms of location, it’s not too far from the city and there’s a tram stop almost in front of the place. It’s a pretty fun place to hang out at if you’d rather not go outside. Do note that there’s only 500mb of WiFi per day per person, you’d have to purchase additional data if you wanted. But if you’re just coming back to shower and sleep, it shouldn’t bother you.
T. M.
Great location, super friendly, clean and relaxed. You do have an airport shuttle coming just at the door and it is even cheaper than the Skybus (17 dollars per head) so going to the airport is no reason not to stay at Habitat HQ. Breakfast was included in my stay which was very nice. It's pretty highly priced for what you get.
H. C.
This is one of the best australian hostel i ve stayed in.
The staff is friendly, smiling and chill (in a stressfree-get-things-done-problem-solving kind of way) and they have someone at reception 24h a day! and yes, even at 2 am they were super nice, relaxed and helpful. Special "hi" to James, Simone and Itai!
The place is spacious and welcoming. Original, fun and tasteful decorations. There are guitars, a piano and a fire place in the living room(!). Lots of space to meet and gather but there are also more peaceful corners like the tv room and the terrasse.
Facilities: bathroom VERY CLEAN and again, spacious + plenty of them. Awesome showers with pressure and plenty of hot water. Didnt use the kitchen much but it looked well kept.
Location: very good. Near tram station.
Rooms: clean, not cold in winter. Good beds (comfy and not squeaking). Storage boxes under the beds.
Parking: i payed the extra 4$ for the hostel parking and it was worth it. Need to buzz to enter so it felt secure.
Activities: something s happening everynight if you feel social !
(I needed rest so i asked for a peaceful room and i couldnt hear the downstairs noise:))
What else..
-Lockers are available in the reception area
-Waschine machine and dryer working fine!
- muffins are a few food are sold are reception
- drove there from the GOC and it was quite straight forward
A. D. M.
Habitat HQ provides an economical, clean, friendly place to stay in Melbourne. At about one third of the price of a hotel and with the tram right out the front, there's lots of reasons to like the place. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was, even on a Saturday night. The queen size bed was comfy and the ensuite plenty big enough for the two of us.
T. M.
I liked the hostel because it was the best i stayed in during my trip in australia. Everything was always clean and tidy. Always something going so its a good way to meet people. Bit out of the way of the city but only a 20min tram ride at most.
A. O.
First time I go to Melbourne, first time I stayed in a hostel and it was at the best. So I think anywhere I stay after this can't compare to HQ. I was really shocked at everything, everything was so convenient, useful, easy to use, the staff really love to serve. The facilities were to many that I just couldn't make use of them all. I intend to bring others back in the future to show them what we can learn from such a great hostel.
K.
Nice Hostel, Cleaner Rooms, good Wifi. Staff very friendly and the hostel has a good vibe. Sadly Hand-Dryer in the men's toilet wasn't working along my stay.
T. M.
The room was satisfactory. There's a tv room where you can relax a little. You need a key card to get around the building and onto each floor so only the people staying on that floor can get on it which is good for security. Would definately stay there again and would recommend to family & friends.
A. W.
The hostel itself is clean, looks more like a hostel than any other hotels we've been in so far which is refreshing compared to the unorganised, small places you usually find.
Staff were really friendly and welcoming which again is nice. Bathrooms and kitchen/dining areas are big and there's always plenty of room.
TV room is very small though so don't expect to find a seat! Vending machines are extortionate but that's the same for most place just go and buy your own stuff from Aldi across the road.
Perfect location for public transport and some really nice food places nearby.
Our room was a massive let down compared to the rest of the hostel. Firstly it smelt really bad but that's probably because of the other people in the room, dirty towels left out and the window constantly closed, I had to get my own airfreshner.
The beds were also ridiculously loud and squeaky! Every single one in the room you can literally hear it when people in other beds move the tiniest bit. It started off funny and we made some jokes about it with room mates but then it became really annoying.
Would stay again but would definitely request a different room and I wouldn't pay anymore than the low season price that we did.
J. T.
One of the best hostels I've stayed at, very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, nice big clean kitchen fully equipped, great location walking distance to st kilda beach and close to a tram stop for downtown access. Only downside is the wifi is very spotty unless you're on the ground floor but a very small detail.
M. W.
The people and rooms are pretty sweet and the price is great! Lots of amenities and nice areas to hangout. The only issue I had was my key card only worked the last day I was there, but the banter with the staff and work outs up and down the stirs keep me going!! I would well recommend staying!
M. F.
Its a good Hostel, to meet new people. The average age is around 21-25, so its more for younger travelers. You have a big kitchen with all the usual stuff, clean rooms and a free wifi, but only 300mb a day or you pay for it. You have also a good position to the tram station (only 50m from the hostel away). The staff are very friendly and helpfull. To the beach you need 10-15 minutes, when you walk but its still alright. Only critical point is the price. A bit too high for long term backpackers...
T. M.
At that time we weren't allowed to check in, but the reception staff gave us the use of all the facilities which was very convenient. The most spacious dorm room I have stayed in. In reality it was more expensive than a mixed dorm. Good public transport links within easy walking distance.
M. D.
Clean enough, they put something on every night (free BBQ, killer pool, movie night, etc). Poorly run, however. Also you can't drink your own booze, have to buy at their own bar which makes the reasonable price suddenly much more than other hostels (at least for those who drink as much as me).
Edit: To clarify (in response to the owners reply) I mean the hostel is poorly run not the events. Also, the place is listed on Google as having free parking. Not true. There is parking but not free. $4/night, if I remember correctly.
K. X.
Very cute hostel with a super interesting vibe! It is one of the best hostels if stayed during my travels through Australia. Itbis very clean, has a big kitchen with a lot of fridge storage room, fast wifi, a very artistic coomon area and hallway. They even provide music instruments, a nice inside launche with a hugh tv. Also there are many places to sit outside and it is located very central in St. Kilda. I felt very comfortable, so I recommend this for everyone who wants to have a nice time there and maybe wants to meet new people, too!
P. F.
I loved this hostel really well! Private Bathroom(3rd level) everyday cleaning, super clean and tidy kitchen and bathrooms, secured parking, entertainment (singer, games, animal shows, billiard, TV-Room). Amazing place to stay! Itai, best guy ever! Liked this hostel very modern!
S. J.
Great hostel, lovely community vibe and the staff are wonderful 24/7. Space to chill out, good social activities and absolutely the cleanest hostel I've come across anywhere in the world.
H. M.
Very friendly and helpful staffs. Accommodating well of our needs despite of many things we asked. Nice cozy private room. Good kitchen. Thanks. Will definitely for next time.
C. L.
Nice place to stay for a budget accommodation. Pillow and blanket provided. Communal showers and toilets are clean. Close to the tram line. Events every night. There's also free tea and coffee 😃
O. H.
Great location, awesome staff, exciting events, rooms were as good as expected, facilities worked fine. 10 minute walk to st kilda beach and tram/bus station right outside. Would recommend.
D.
I got to the habitat HQ for 3 days and stayed for 2 months. You can find great atmosphere and friendly people. I enjoyed the activities and the willingness to help from the staff.
I would like to mention Itai and Spencer. Both are the best people in the staff. Lovely people, who helped me a lot getting into Australia and finding my way. They are the part who make habitat from good to great.
P. M.
The best hostel I stayed at in Australia, friendly staff, good location, great vibe. Rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms were always very clean. Would happily recommend!

When I arrived I was given a room with a queen bed and two bunk beds with my own bathroom. I liked the cleanliness of the room and very comfortable queen bed with TV, radio, little refrigerator, and kettle with free coffee, tea, milk etc.
The most important thing for me was the quietness of the room , enabling me to have a great sleep. Air-conditioning was nice as it was quite humid upon my arrival there.
The staff were very helpful about directions to trams.
Only thing I could not figure out was their free Wi-Fi but that's my fault?
Massive amount of clean towels and a hair-dyer also in bathroom!
The free "continental breakfast" was just cereal, coffee and toast.
I would definitely stay again!
L. U.
Very friendly staff and clean rooms. The location is not the best, but regarding the price and the tram stop right outside the door it didn't bother much. Car Parking available in the secured lot for 4$/day (good deal).
WiFi was the only downer...
G.
Very clean and professional accomodations. Kitchen facilities are excellent for a hostel. Plenty of space as well, with a good social vibe. It costs a little too much is you ask me though.
J. M.
Affordable double room with private bathroom. Good WiFi and superb staff. Parking lot next to the hotel, $4 a day. Perfect to visit Melbourne by tram. Nice BBQ invitation.
N. “. M.
Facilities, location and staff were great. However, like any large hostel, I found it was a bit unfriendly. Seemed like there were a lot of long stay people there who already knew each other so it was hard to make friends.
S. C.
Great vibe, friendly staff. Clean and tidy. There's something going off every night that gets people together. Not a 5* because wifi is limited to 500mb a day, with extra data having to be purchased. That said, you'd be hard pushed to find a decent hostel with fully free wifi!
T.
Im a 20 years old traveller who stayed for one week in a 8 bed dorm. It's a good place to meet other people your age. The hostel provides a kitchen, launch, place outside... There are a couple of programme in the evening during the week like comedy shows or singing... I had a wonderfull time at Habitat HQ and met nice people to hang out.
G. H.
Great Accommodation! They provide blankets and lockers in the rooms and also powerpoints for each bed. Only problem is that metal beds are really noisy.
Common areas are great, and they provide a simple breakfast, and free wi-fi even on rooms.
In general, great accommodation!
A. M. S.
The friendliest staff, the cleanest hostel I visited in Australa. Great location, 5 mins away at medium stride to the St Kilda bars and nightlife. Only stayed there to sleep the hangover, but awesome place!
S.
Possibly the best hostel. It's overly luxurious, clean and affordable for backpackers. 10 min walk from St Kilda beach. Easily accessible by trams as well. Love this place!
S. K.
The Habitat HQ is a very nice hostel and fairly close to the St Kilda beach. Everything is very tidy and clean and the staff is very nice and happy to help you. It was a great stay and I'll return there anytime when I'm back in Melbourne.
E. G.
Being the first time in Melbourne, I found it useful to stay a few days in Habitat to search for a place to stay long term. I only gave a try at one of the activities that are planned each day, that toured the city and it was really good. Lee (our guide) showed us more of the current Melbourne, instead of a typical historic-talk long walk.
Internet wifi, was ok for browsing, but had a slow upload-speed that made online calls only good for listening to the other party, but they got a bad reception. Also you could log only one device at a time.
The room for 4 was clean, with not much space for clothes and had a matress where you could feel the springs. The bathrooms were kept clean by the people working there and there was no waiting for baths or toilet. The breakfast included gives an extra point to the overall service.
There is always someone at the reception that will help you with any questions.
J. W.
Nice hostel, entertainment most evenings. Only downside is lots of backpackers live here for a long time so they leave their stuff everywhere and don't wash up.
A. M.
Nice place to stay. All rooms are clean and the staff is very supportive. You can buy cheap/good food at the habitat bar. Courtyard is very open and big enough
C. H. Z.
My room was clean and tidy. The beeakfast was just cereal and toast, far from continental. Friendly hostel environment that is eco friendly. Was alright but wouldn't stay again.
S. N.
Friendly & helpful staff. Free car parking. Breakfast available. Wifi works well. Good vibes. Convenient location for bars and restaurants on chapel street, well connected with trams.
G. L. F.
2 levels above your avarage Backpackers hostel, Habitat is an Eco-certified, traveler friendly and professional accomodation.
The smiling staff (at the front desk 24-7) can provide advice and book attractions for you.
Located relatively conveniently, a Tram station in front of the entrance, and a walking/tram distance from everything in St. Kilda. Try the nearby Vegalicious restaurant - our personal favourite BY FAR!
Complimentary breakfast is served in the quite big common kitchen, and includes cereals, toasts, spreads, tea and coffee, but the travelers usually make so much more than that themselves.
A bit more expensive than the average Backpackers', though you also get more.
Lastly, (unlike most backpackers' we've been to) there is an elevator which is great if you carry big luggage.
a. f.
It used to be the absolute best place to stay!
Unfortunately because of the people, they have to change few things, such as the free parking and other little things and so now it's still very good, but not perfect as it was the first time I visited it.
This is my personal opinion though.
Apart from that, absolutely recommended!
J. S.
my favorite hostel in Australia!
The Habitat HQ is the perfect place for backpacker and all travler who want to explore Melbourne. It takes you about 20 min by tram to get to federation square, which stops literally in front of the HQ. There is a fenced parking in the back, for free! The stuff is so helpful and realy friendly. Plenty toilets, showers and a huge hostel kitchen - constantly cleand and in good conditions
O. M.
A budget hostel with friendly staff 24 hours reception located in St Kilda around 20 min by tramway from Melbourne train station or 40 min from the International airport.
Rooms are for all prices. Bathrooms are clean and enough space to use them.
Kitchen it depends on th type of guest you deal the day you visit the hostel but general apreciation i had is an excellent place to stay while visit Melbourne and near places.
Private rooms are Hotel quality and good option if you go with your couple or family.
Best option and price near melbourne.
M.
Rooms were clean and spacious and there was an electrical socket for each bed. Lots of activities going on throughout the week and trams to the city a minutes walk away.
L. C.
Pretty good. Every bed has a plug, basket and its clean. Kitchen is pretty good and it's plenty of communial pleces to sit. Lots of longtermers and close to a shop.
A. C.
Double room is good value. Number 3 or 67 trams to city. Not that close to Acland St though. Clean, air con, good kitchen, 24 hr manager. Good pub nearby.
T. M.
I was disappointed in this place after reading so ***y positive reviews. Some of the night staff did let the place down at times in terms of attitude. I know this is a hostel but that is no excuse for the dirt in some places. Good location being 10min walk to the beach.
G. K.
USED to be an really surecool awesome hostel until they killed it with draconian laws about not drinking in lounge and such rules.
Still, Pretty friendly and by far one of the best hostels in Melbourne
N. A.
Great location, nice and friendly staff. Mattresses were so uncomfortable, could little fell the springs inside of it. Kitchen was not clean and smelled weird. Bathrooms was ok.
J. B.
Easy to reach location and friendly staff. Rooms were clean and a nice temp. Only downside was that the mattress was old & lumpy. Free parking was a bonus.
T. S.
Amazing hostel, facilities are spot on, good atmosphere, friendly staff and a stones throw away from St Kilda beach! The only disappointment was that I couldn't stay another night as they were fully booked :(
D. T.
Made a last minute booking, private room was only option. But it was great quality and worth the extra money. Great vibes and an easy tram ride to the city
R. G.
Greatest hostel I have never been. Perfect commun area, nice rooms, pool, activities, terrace opened all night long. 👌
S. G.
Great service, we showed up at 3am and had no issues. Parking was easy and cheap. Bathrooms are super clean. Highly recommended!
W. B.
After a bad day to say the least, when I arrived at HabitatHQ I instantly felt the warmth and friendliness of this place. The guy at the counter was very charasmatic and instantly approved my mood and sorted me out in no time at all. It's also a very cool looking place with a great location. I will be rrecommending this pace to friends
P. C.
Cool Hostel with great amenities and very friendly staff. Noise from the outside courtyard can be heard well into the night if you don't close your windows.
J. K.
Rooms, kitchen and bathrooms are of good quality. I feel the hostel tries to rip you off by prohibiting you from bringing in your own drink.
J. K.
very friendly and helpful staff; they had maps of St Kilda and of the CBD and gave us tram numbers which helped immensly. We just left the car in their car park and used the trams. Melbournians were helpful and friendly if you ask them.
J. M.
BESSSST HOSTEL EVER!
Good price, very clean, good location, good staff...
1month and half in this hostel and very sad to leave ... thanks I’ll come back
H. H.
3 stars for pay the cark park fee with $4 per day. Cuz their website shows it's for free.
Otherwise, I'm going to give 4 stars for it. It's a price-fare place.
r. t.
bad laundry. good kitchen. fair location. nice staff. comfortable bed. warm heater. noisy at night.
R. D.
Best place for bag packers to stay in Melbourne. Correctly priced, friendly staff, well maintained property, free wifi, good young crowd.
l. l.
Rooms and bathrooms are clean
Breakfast easy but really good
Service was good and location is ok, about 10 minutes to beach or St.kilda mall
Would stay there again
J. J.
One of the best Backpacker hostels I been to.. Great staff, excellently clean rooms.. and a large open area as well as kitchen.. Superb..!!
M. D.
Great hostel that is a short 10 minute walk away from the beach. The bed was worn in and hard to sleep on, that's why I can't give 5 stars
L. B.
Vibrant young crowd, place is bustling around the clock. Small dorm rooms can create some discomfort, smelly neighbors, snoring noise... etc.
C. M.
Excellent choice, you are not too far from the city or from St Kilda, The tram is right in front of it and the staff are great. I had a great time, it was very clean and organised, I hope I can go back soon! Thanks
G. R.
Clean and tidy enough, not cheap but still cheaper than most hostels around St Kilda.
D. F.
Great hostel. Best in Melbourne for me. Social and good vibes
D. P.
Fantastic place to stay, good facilities, staff and location. Had a blast and extended my stay. Met some awesome people.
G. C.
Very nice for price. Didn't spend much time in the place though but was well worth it.
F. H.
Nice hostel with a big kitchen, free breakfast and overall clean. Located on a busy street.
L. J.
My stay at habitat was a great experience! The place is clean & welcoming. Management & staff are great people!!!
Thanks guys 😄💯
R. C.
One of the best backpacker hostel I ever tried. I recommend it to anybody who stays in Melbourne
H. L.
Room was nice and clean. Staff are very friendly.its close to shops . Overall it's good place to be in.
D. P.
Great friendly relaxed atmosphere that holds events daily to get people to meet. When I come back to Melbourne, I'm definitely staying there again.
