Haven't been here for a few years, and it seems to have changed hands again. We had a Christmas lunch for 40, and it was great. The 2 course meal was abundant, well cooked and served by cheerful and efficient staff (I think it was all hands on deck and a few ring ins to get us all served, but it worked). Will definitely return for a meal in the future.

Saw $10 Bar meal sign whilst driving through. Stopped. Had a lovely enjoyable hot soup which included table service. Plenty of tables and parking Bathrooms very clean as well. Special menrion to Dan The Man. Tracey and Rohan. A 1000 stars for your effort. Highly recommended.

Can’t fault it as a local pub experience. It’s a nice warm spacious bistro they have here. The meals were all great and very reasonably priced. They sell plenty of good local wines with minimal mark up too. The staff were all lovely people and very good at their jobs, especially Chloe who deserves a pay rise. The courtesy bus is a cracker too. We loved it. Highly recommended.

Stayed overnight in a room and for the price, I was quiet surprised. A room like this in Melbourne would be 4 times the cost. Good quality meals in the pub. New owners friendly, clean and accomadating.

Stopped in yesterday with my mate about 5.30pm. Both ordered the porterhouse as per normal, one with veg and other with salad. Could not even eat the steak, the mash potato was hard and half of my mates steak was fat and gristle. Ordered extra pepper sauce and it was plain gravy with cracked pepper added to it. We were charged $37 for each meal. What a joke never again. Update - have been contacted by the hotel regarding this and appreciate the assistance they have offerred

Fairly high priced meals for the quality. ($28 Thai beef salad. $22 Chicken curry ..and a small amount of rice) It's a pub dining room afterall...Eg, cutlery in a paper packet.. Roadside sign says "$10 pub meals" ...Soup is the *only* thing for 10 bucks... unless there is something else in the public bar..??

Stopped here for a late lunch (3pm-ish)only to be turned away because they were closing early due to not being prepared for the long weekend travellers and running out of food already. Otherwise looked to be a popular little venue of a small country town.

Just had the best roast pork I think I’ve ever had at a pub. It tasted home cooked. A very generous serve for a senior’s meal. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the wood fire was toasty. A lovely way to spend time in winter.

I gave only 3 stars for a few reason, but let me start by saying the food here was absolutely delicious! I couldn't fault it at all. One thing was the air conditioning was not on (during a 38 degree day) because a table of patrols had complained about the draft, so it had been switched off - but given that the restaurant was empty aside from 4 other tables, it would have made more sense to relocate that table to another table rather than make the rest of the restaurant suffer. And the waitress wasn't overly friendly (perhaps due to the heat lol). But again, the food was amazing and more than made up for the inconveniences. I will return when I am next in the area.

We came across this awesome little gem on our family road trip, and I'm so glad we decided to stop for a bite to eat! The staff were warm and inviting, and the food was exactly what we hoped for, at a reasonable price. If I'm ever traveling this way again, I will certainly be making a detour back to this place.

Food was great and floor staff were accommodating. Could hear the chef yelling from the table I was on and banging on the bell when clearly there was no need, attitude persisted for well over an hour and I had noticed other guests complaining about it. Apart from that the environment was great with a special panoramic view of the bunyip state forest. Seemed to be popular with the bikers and tourists.

So mad I didn't take a photo!!! These guys had beautiful food, lovely staff and a view to boot! They totally had no qualms with our dishevelled appearance on NYD as we were looking for something basic. Thai beef salad tasted like the cow was out the back and all the ingredients were too! So fresh! Just would have preferred the beef a little rarer for a salad And the Turkish bread with Dukkha is amazing. Best Dukkha and balsamic I've had and they didn't mix the balsamic & oil! was so good!!!!!

Stayed 2 nights while I had cataract surgery at Neerim South hospital. Typical older style motel room was warm, clean and comfortable, but not overly flash. Not overly expensive either. Food in the dining room was good, with a good range of choice, including seniors meals. Had to wait a fair while for dinner on Sunday night, as the place was packed. Didn't matter to me as I wasn't going anywhere. Plan to stay there again when I get the other eye done. Had the other eye done last Monday, 4 weeks after the first. Stayed again for 2 nights. Ate in the hotel restaurant both nights. Again, the food was good. I couldn't make my mind up between the lamb backstrap and the Sri-Lankan curry from the specials board, so i had one each night - no complaints from me. Forget what my partner had, but she enjoyed both meals. I also forgot to mention that they have a great selection of wines, by the bottle or glass, as well as beers. The same couple were in the next room on both stays (one was also having cataract surgery) and also ate in the dining room both nights. They both said they were happy with the food and accommodation as well. I've only got two eyes, so I don't know when or if I'll get to stay again, but we have relatives in Drouin and the hotel is close enough for a lunch or dinner.

What a lovely meal we had today and even better the staff are so nice in particular one blonde haired Lady ( unfortunately we didn't get her name) was so lovely, I had a terrible headache and after being on the back of a motorbike for a few hours it was throbbing she went out of her way to quickly bring me my "coffee fix" and even gave me some nurofen it's good old service like this that you don't often find anymore!!! What a great vibe out there on that balcony! The locals made us feel right at home. Unfortunately our food wasn’t 💯, but once we brought it up, it was fixed and dealt with professionally. Thank you. We will def stop past again next time we are out that way.
