Had lunch there just today with the 3 of us, absolutely fabulous, nothing less. Pork belly, equally best I've had, one person had fish and chips, fantastic. Service was great, rear garden is best I've had a meal in, be back for sure.

This place was suggested by a friend and what a gem it turned out. The front part looks not so promising but once you enter and go past the indoor area to the back outdoor area. What a wonderful place it is. The pizzas were the best and so was the calamari. The service of a friendly staff was outstanding. It’s a dog friendly place and has really good pub food options.

Day trip to beautiful Trentham this weekend. Lunch at Cosmo, hadn't been there for years. Presentation/decor is very impressive. Lovely wait staff and good entrees. Very disappointing mains - burger was tasteless, with a soggy bun and average chips for $28, but the greatest disappointment was the vegetarian green curry - could not believe the tiny silver bowl it was presented in and first time I've ever had a vego curry with small pieces of cauliflower and broccoli only!! Not another vegetable in sight and they were not fresh. This was accompanied by a bigger bowl of steam rice. Really disappointing and so overpriced at $28 for what was presented. Please rethink the stingy veggie curry and get an array of decent veggies in it and must be a bigger size for mains.

Beautifull old hotel in downtown Trentham. Nice to see the place again even though the staff are behind masks, you can still see they are happy and friendly. Tha meals are always good, its a great place to visit and get out and about. There was a market on in town but due to time constraints I didn't get to it this time, but I have frequented the market in the past, it is also well worth a visit. Lovely town, great pub, good food.👍👍👍👍

Great place for a nice drink on a cold evening. Bar area to stand and chat, some comfy seating, or choice of small tables inside, or beer garden area. Or simply have great cup of tea. Very clean and fresh convenience' . Staff were very busy, but not looking stressed, or remotely overwhelmed. We didn't partake of the food available, so can't comment on that. This old hotel was damaged by fire a few years ago but has been fully and beautifully restored. The beer garden is under huge old trees that offer welcome shade on a summers day. The place is steeped in history. Lots of indoor seating as well

There is a great menu here, a good selection of beers and wines and the staff are very friendly. The seating/restaurant area is nice and cosy, high chairs are also available. The beer garden at the back is beautiful and must be a great place to spend a lazy afternoon in summer. If you're visiting the town or area you can do worse than stopping here for lunch or dinner. I love this place. You can turn up in your Country Road one day and your trackies the next and nobody cares. Its old world style lends it a Victorian air thats charming and not over stated. The wine lists are varied and excellent and their menu consistantly offers the best of country faire.

Having read some reviews here i was tentative about eating at the cosmopolitan.... The food was truly delicious, lamb shanks with polenta both rich and light, the buttermilk pannecotte exquisite. We all raved about our meals but they were not as good as the service. Our waiter was the magic that catapulted a night out with the girls into a night from our long, long distant romantic teens.

Got yelled at as we walked through the door by the bar person. No time to think before being quizzed about what we were there for i.e food/drink. G&T arrived with an ant in it, hopefully fell out of a tree rather than other possibilities. Waitress very obliging and replaced the drink.
