We spent 2 nights here, This is wonderful experience especially this pandemic era this hotel produces deadly quite it is devoid of human interaction.
The hotel interior is so unique with its use of timber. Location is very easy to access to all restaurants and transport. Great pool and water spa as well. Must visit!

I've never stayed the night, but after attending a function I have nothing but praise for the staff, who attentively answered all questions, and facilitated my needs quickly and politely with an air of warmth that's quite refreshing in the hotel world. The facilities are also beautiful and very well maintained, with all the requisite cleanliness and sanitation we all need right now. I would have no hesitation in spending a night here when I'm wanting to be in the city.

Nice river view and well located hotel. Excellent breakfast. Room service was presented well but slow, which was understandable give it was NYE. Mistake made with order but issue rectified. Surprised the hotel did not realise nil fireworks visible from pool deck but still appreciated the opportunity to have an alfresco glass of bubbly to celebrate NYE

Great experience as always. Rooms super clean and high-quality older theme that holds up well.
Only thing that was a slight let-down is no spare power points on either side of the bed, had to unplug a lamp on one side and the clock on the other to charge our phones.

Charming and elegant, and a delightful change from the frantic and somewhat uncivilised world outside the hotel. Staff have an Old World civility, politeness and gentility, that is refreshing in the cut and thrust of modern society. A much needed boost for my stressed life at present, stress that is lessened by the spa, steam room, sauna and Aria bar. The buffet breakfast at The Melba is another high point in the agenda at The Langham.

Great spacious room, great pool, nice little touches all throughout the hotel, restaurant, bar and other ammenities. Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff whom were keen to assist. Buffet breakfast was fantastic and enjoyable.

We are 1865 Members and have been visiting for almost 15 years. Always Refreshing and our stay is one which we switch off from the hustle and bustle and into our relaxing world of Langham. Thank you to Selina for our booking and to Paulo from security in going that extra mile to keep my daughter informed and constantly laughing. Thank you 🙏 We will be back again in our next break away 😎

Went for brunch. Staffs are super friendly and fast response. The place is clean, good vibes, nice view from the restaurant to the river. Foods are good, the orange juice is the star.

Minor hiccup on check-in that was solved by Alvin at reception. Stayed 2 nights and it was great. The rooms are spacious with a big bathroom. The facilities are fantastic. Overall customer service was great. Room service was excellent. I would highly recommend.

Our stay in the Langham hotel was just incredible! Beautiful room design, comfortable mattress and pillows and unreal bathroom! We are so grateful to amazing Maheesha for her help and making us feel special guests. We felt we were very welcomed. It has become one of my favorite places in Melbourne.
C. B.
Stayed multiple days. Nothing wrong with the place other than I found it a bit dated but I think that is the way they present. And you must like pink!
Impeccable service every time we came through the door or attended the buffet breakfast it was as though we were the only ones that mattered
Not sure why Hotels in general still haven’t got up to date and added USB points to their power sockets or power docks in the room, to eliminate the need to bring anything more than a charging cable

We stayed for NYE and wedding anniversary, and the whole team there made the whole experience feel so special, they went up and beyond to help me set up a surprise for my wife, our dinner reservations got cancelled due to covid, so the concierge went to work to find us an amazing restaurant (water front) and made sure nothing went wrong.... Thank you Langham
S. I.
My partner and I had a lovely stay here at the hotel. The customer service was simply fine stars, from the manager at the restaurant arranging to give us take away coffees when we didn’t have time for a sit down, the cleaner in the hall way shouting I hope you enjoyed your stay! To Matt Sharpe the Manager at reception checking if we picked up everything including our chargers. The food was great quality and the Spa was Devine in the evening as we sipped on wine and looked out to the Melbourne skyline . We will be coming again!

Hands down my new favourite hotel in Melbourne. Absolute luxury there is no doubt about it, soon as you walk in you are just taken by the attention to detail and the pure class of the decor. I was after a romantic weekend a boy did I deliver by choosing The Langham Delicious High tea was magic, and all the marble around with the atmosphere, I almost felt like Poirot would walk right past us. The rooms are so comfortable, the beds are the best I've ever slept in. The spa, pools and the view is absolutely stunning- wow! Weekend parking rates under the building is very convenient and the location, right on the river and so close to everything is superb. The service stood out, everyone was just amazing. The bellboy surprised me the next day by having practiced my rather difficult last name to perfection. The attention to detail very high standard of service is absolutely brilliant.
The MELBA dinner buffet is on a different level to any other dinner buffet I've experienced in Melbourne. You need to eat here. Breakfast was just as good.
The only feedback is the rooms do get a bit warm and the restaurant manager at the Melba last night was a little neurotic. Yet, and still 5 stars well deserved!!! We will be back!
m. R.
Our stay here was absolutely superb. Five star accommodation, amenities and service. The buffet breakfast is a must.
E. I.
We have been invited in NYE party.
Excellent food, beautiful environment, Roof top has a spectacular view of Melbourne CBD.
Thanks for giving us the wonderful experience 😘😘😘

Had a great time here over Christmas. Melba buffet was amazing. Thanks for the Christmas tree in our room pur daughter loved it
R. J.
The room was fine, clean and well appointed. Melba restaurant buffet was very good. Aria bar was great until I ordered the meal and I got half the meal and had to call manager 3 times before it was rectified. Ok then we left a dress in the closet, and once we realised it took 4 hours and a huge amount of pressure before they found it. For the money I spent on the 2 days I would say it was ordinary and not 5 stars. A rememerable 70th birthday for my wife, NOT.
B. E.
Hotel provided a lovely experience although there were a couple of detractions. The rooms were pleasing and in many ways were consistent with the hotel's intended design and time of construction. Depending on the room you recieve, the view was also superb. Service was good and proper throughout (shout out to Sebastian). In terms of detractions, I note the following:
1) modern amnemities are dated (e.g. aged TV)
2) there are no bed side electrical ports, so it may be worth bringing an extension cable
3) recycling / garbage is not seperated (not enviromentally friendly). If sorting is performed after guests leave, I think this can better communicated.
A. L.
This is my favourite hotel in Melbourne. The staff are fabulous, the location perfect and I love everything about it. The Aria bar bottomless brunch was also utterly ideal.
6 stars out of 5.
L. G.
Pros: Comfortable bed, deep bath, block out curtains, pool and spa access, friendly staff.
Cons: a few amenities missing from room (plug & teaspoons)
F. S.
One of the most luxurious and classy hotels in Melbourne. I've been to the restaurant who's buffets are first class and quite a few functions here in the Clarendon Ball room. From entering in the lobby the view is gorgeous with fountains and staircases to the upper level restaurants. Staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful, nothing seems to be too much trouble, although this is to be expected as this is a premium hotel in quality and price. Paid parking is available in a labyrinthine carpark under the hotel. Several lifts bring you back above ground, but only one brings you up near the Langhams entrance. Make sure you remember where you parked! Paying for your ticket is a pain as the Langhams lift lobby has no ticket payment machine, you have to hike a distance to one of the other lift wells to pay, then back to your car.

The Langham Hotel Melbourne was breathe taking the minute you step through the front door, from the bell boy to the vallet parking “fantastic service”
We choose the Langham to celebrate our engagement night and decided to take in all amenities, from the Chuan Spa to the Aria Bar and then finishing off with dinner at the Melba Restaurant. This is where the night let us down, the line up into the restaurant was congested and we waited for 25 minutes on the stair case, worst of all we were standing amongst people who were so shabbily dressed they should not have been permitted entry onto the premises in the first place clearly you have no dinner dress code ?? let alone be mingling with guest paying $700 a night for the privilege of just being there. It felt like we were at a all you can eat Smorgies” not a reputable hotel. Once seated we were unable to get the attention of a drinks waiter and when we did finally manage to order drinks they were taken to the wrong table where they sat until we queried where our drinks were ? they were then brought from the wrong table to our table hot. We felt for the price of $150 per head to eat at the Melba was an absolute let down, the food was below average and sadly we would be very reluctant to ever dine at the Melba Restaurant again.
I would suggest you seat your dinner guest who are staying at the Langham from the Aria Bar and not leave them standing on the staircase amongst walk in dinners.
Apart from that our stay overall was terrific but we feel you clearly have issues to address with the Melba Restaurant.

Thanks for vanishing my already paid booking/ thanks for keeping me wait for 8/10 mins each time I called to make reservations
Thanks to Agoda.com promoted and sold a superior room and charged my card 365. Room even without a view ! So they say it’s five star and would u believe this ? And it’s my wedding day tomorrow and they decided to take me a working class man who wanted to make a beauty to the woman he loves ! Thanks Langham Hote!!!!
A. M.
Amazing experience! The staff here are so lovely and helpful.
We had dinner at Melba, would 100% recommend their Indian buffet station. The rest was very average and would rather try the High tea place next time.
I. D.
Service - exceptional! Hotel and facilities - great! That’s all you need to know 😊
M. D. c.
We had our anniversary dinner at Melba's, its high end buffet with so many choices from steamed rice right through to lobster tails. My main was a cooked on demand Chilli prawns with veg, amazing. Service was top notch with a window table overlooking Melbourne. Its a yes from me. Go and enjoy!
B. B.
The hotel is dated but handles the age well. Decor is lovely, water feature on entry is nice, but overall lacks any wow factor.
Rooms are small, by comparison the Pan Pacific suite was twice the size and cheaper.
Bed was devine, soft and cuddly.
Bathroom was shocking, bath was stained, shower door didn't close.
Wardrobe doors didn't close, fridge cupboard door was falling off.
The most disgusting experience was watching 2 different staff dressing down, degrading and abusing staff in front of me. Clearly professionalism is not part of the mantra here.
I have written a full complaint to the hotel over this.
For the price, the experience was very disappointing. I won't be in a rush to return

We just spent two nights for our 20 year wedding anniversary at the langham hotel in Melbourne. It was our first stay there and we were very impressed. Some people say the hotel is dated but we disagree. It is a beautiful, characterful atmosphere instead of the ultra modern design that some hotels have. It is very comfortable and warm. We had a superior king room on floor 21 and it was excellent. Very clean with a remarkably comfortable bed and pillows. Sleep was not a problem. Facilities were excellent.
The staff at the hotel are absolutely first class and it is obvious they are trained and managed very well. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left every staff interaction was excellent. Check in was fast and 3 mins after arriving in our room our luggage arrived. Breakfast was very nice at the buffet, as was dinner. We didn't have a booking for dinner but they fit us in after a short wait. Cleaning staff were friendly and efficient.
Overall, the staff made our stay memorable and ensured we will return. The beds are on par with Crown Towers but the staff work much harder for your needs than most hotels which makes your stay just that bit better. The buffet is not the size of the Crown's conservatory and doesn't have the variety but what they do have is very nice with enough variety to satisfy most people.
Looking forward to our next stay.
W. E.
Wow! So excited to come back! Got this resort for a fantastic rate at ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ I like this resort and I'm really thankful I stayed at my favorite place for much less than what I usually pay.
This has to be one of the best hotels in Melbourne. Fantastic food, great staff and attention to details mean this is a welcoming hotel right in the heart of South bank.

We loved our recent extended stay at the Langham Melbourne. As we were there for over a week we opted for a two bedroom executive suite on the top floor and we’re not disappointed. Andrew greeted us each day at the Valet and ensured our car was ready for us with the most amazing friendly service. Housekeeping staff were quick and ensured our rooms were clean with those little extra touches. Breakfast was substantial and very well run. I just wish their coffees were proper barista strength but apart from that we couldn’t fault the service and delicious food. Dinner at Melba was lovely and very delicious but food and drinks were far too slow at Aria Bar & Lounge. I believe a few extra staff would have improved this experience. The pools and fitness area were well equipped too. Overall we loved our stay and will be back and also looking forward to the Lounge reopening. The Langham really is a lovely 5 Star Hotel. You won’t be disappointed.
m. P.
Stayed in the King room river view, nice and clean really comfortable bed too.pic was out of the room window.

Wonderful hotel, great breakfast, lovely staff, even when to drunk ;) great place to stay!

Every just melt into a bed? It was so amazing! The staff was so friendly. I’ll be back in a month!

Not yet stayed there but the food ( especially the naan and the curries are best ) made by Deo Pal
cofffee was a bit cold
R. J.
Always a nice surprise to book a night with your honey, this hotel never disappoints for 5 star service, food & decor.
K. Q.
Great coffee and dessert at Aria Bar. Wonderful environment. Expensive but worth it for the experience
M. B.
I take my kids here to eat buffet during school holidays. They have a wide selection of seafood and hot cusines. My favourite dish is the Freshly made Nan bread with chilli and sweet dips. 😃
J. E.
The Langham was a wonderful place to stay.
The room was spacious and incredibly clean, and the staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating.
I was charged extra for use of mini bar (which was incorrect), but they were able to work through the refund process and continue providing great customer support.
G. M.
I omitted 2 stars because our breakfast buffet got converted to alacarte due to covid although we paid the same price as buffet fee. Other than that hotel is very clean and tidy. Employees are all very nice and friendly.
N. P.
Went to Melba restaurant. Beautiful food, well presented and great service. Will be back
B. K.
We had afternoon tea in the Aria Bar a couple of days ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were lovely, attentive and efficient and the food served was delicious. I am celiac and have often been disappointed by dry, stodgy food but everything was delicious. We highly recommend this afternoon tea!
S. K.
I stayed at the Langham Melbourne some time ago. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are magnificent. Service is good. The views from the pool area are amazing and the the hot tub is fabulous. The gym is a decent size with good quality equipment. Afternoon tea is delicious but I’m not too sure if it’s worth the price.
B. B.
Expensive. Needs more varieties in menu. Indian naan's and curries really nice.
A. S.
Amazing service, room and spa. We had a wonderful weekend away. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure we had all our needs met. They even remembered our names despite only staying 2 nights. The quality of the rooms, staff, food and facilities were exceptional. Can't wait to go back.
D. N.
Celebrating a birthday here we've been looked after so well! Lovely & welcoming staff too! They surprised us with this cute cake & sparkling too! Will definitely return & can't wait to have breakfast at Melba with them too.
J. A.
Overall hotel is good, amenities and the team managing breakfast were great.
The reason for the dropped star was at check in. My colleagues and I were waiting, a random husband and wife combo walked around aimlessly an were annoyed at the length of the queue and some dude from the back room came out sorted them out and then promptly went back to his back room...firstly why did he think they warranted special treatment, and secondly once he finished with them, why not help clear the queue faster before returning to his little backroom...
I won't be looking to book the langham again unless I have no other choice...
C. F.
The pastries and scones were lovely, service good however the tea was very ordinary. First pot not too bad, second pot was with same tea bag! Really ordinary for that much money. Previous visits very good. Need to put more effort into maintaining a high standard.
L. S.
Best staycation ever! All because of the staff - they are amazing. Nothing is too hard for them to make sure your stay is perfect. They take your bags from the door & up to your room and then down again when you check out. Reception noticed it was my husband's birthday and they delivered a georgous wedge of cake to the room. Want something else? Pick up the phone in your room and they'll rush it to you. The food is top notch. I wish I had have made a note of the wonderful gentleman who looked after us in the Melba room, he made our meal extra special with his warmth and kindness. Thank you, Langham Melbourne, for a very special stay :)
B. M.
Thank you so much to all the staff for such an amazing weekend . First class from the moment you pull up out front until you drive away . Be sure to get a massage at the Chuan spa . Mich is an incredible masseuse. An unreal weekend .
M. G.
Staff are friendly, clean restaurant, good view..
N. B.
What a wonderful relaxing experience! Within walking distance to everything. The room had a view over the river which was lovely to have on our first morning! Room service was perfect! Will be back!
L. P.
Really nice, elegant, very comfortable room and bedding. Food was a bit average but we put that down to the changed arrangements for covid and the chefs doing their best to meet the new requirements. Walking distance to everything!
D. K.
Extremely satisfied with our stay in Langham. We went there with our baby for our marriage anniversary. and Matt at the service desk made sure our experience is worthwhile..
Highly recommended 😀
J. O.
Excellant Hotel which lives up to its 5 star reputation. Service is superb from parking attendants to Reception , room service to Dinning plus. High tea was very good & Food overall was Exceptional.
Will certainly return again
O.
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in so far. Services exceptional and the rooms are premium to the look and touch. Stayed here for 3 nights, could have easily stayed on longer. You must try the the Melba restaurant buffet, simply stunning.
T. S.
Absolute pleasure to stay at the Langham, staff were always polite and courteous and even made the effort to greet myself when passing in hallways.
Although with the new buffet breakfast it was to full to seat us so they seated us in the adjoining dining area and compensated us with a complimentary glass of sparling white wine.
Overall one of the most pleasant hotels I have had the pleasure of staying at
T. G.
I went for a 1 hour massage, it was an amazing massage, the therapist was great and it was such a relaxing and pampering experience.
The atmosphere was calming and rejuvenating.
It was my friends birthday so they went above and beyond and treated us to the lounge after and sparkling wine.
I would recommend going for the experience.
C. K.
Amazing hotel and restaurant. Service however could be improved. We went for a high tea and had to ask for new cutlery and plates after the initial course. Also had to ask for a water refill. Other places do this automatically. Food was amazing.
E.
Hotel and restaurant great. Bar closes too early though.
N. C.
Still one of Melbourne's premier luxury hotels, but wth the price tag, understandably. Been a few years since our last stay. Slight hiccup on check-in, which was delayed a few minutes after 3pm. Admittedly, we did arrive early on the hope of an early check-in, so I suspect this might've caused some confusion with our room, as we didn't receive the anticipated extras as part of our Easter package (complimentary fruit bowl or cookies and water, and kid's slippers). We got these eventually, after a quick call to reception, although the staff member initially said she wasn't aware of any such package.
The rooms are delightful, breakfast buffet is back and as great as ever(!), and the pool and spa are wonderful. Many luxury hotels have spas that are cold. Not the Langham! Wonderfully hot!
Slight hiccup with our in-room dining - popcorn and milkshake brought up, minus the two glasses of wine. Simple call to private dining rectified this.
As this was a celebratory stay for my wife's and son's birthdays, the hotel gave us a bonus slice of birthday cake. A generous and wonderful touch.
No room photos, as I reviewed the hotel a long time ago.
T. F.
Amazing experience for our 1st year anniversary! An absolutely Luxurious hotel! They gave us a free room upgrade upon arrival which was really lovely and a free fruit platter upon arrival! Highly recommended and will be back :)

Took my daughter for a little staycation at The Langham for the easter break and we both enjoyed our stay very much. For those who are driving the valet service is still operational and cost is $69 per night. The check in was done smoothly and you can choose to have contactless service. Although, i selected contactless service we did had housekeeper who came and made the room and bring new towels for us. The melba buffet is still operating as normal, only thing is you need to have a face mask while getting your food and sanitise your hand before using the tools. If you not staying at the hotel and just going for the buffet at the Melba there will be a $2 fee if you require a face mask. I booked the Melba for dinner for Friday and I would said the price I was charged I would not rebooked. They had a good selection of food but to me is abit overprice. Also, the price they stated on the website is incorrect as I got charged around $169 for me and around $69 for my daughter who is 4yrs old plus an extra $20 as it was a public holiday, on the website it was $129 not sure if they just overprice me. The swimming pool have a limit of 15 people in the pool at all time and 3 people in the spa but the guests did not seem to really stick to those rules I believe at 1 point there was double the amount. There is towels available at the pool. They implemented a 30min session for the pool and spa but I think they relying on the guest to make sure not to go over the allocated time so everyone can have a swim. There are a few seating right next to the pool but those get mostly taken early. There are quite a few seating outside of the pool area but it is not cover so you will be in the direct sunlight. There is a QR code next to the reception at the pool for the menu and you place the order at the reception and they bring the food to you. I saw some people who just went outside the hotel bought food and bring it back up as it is much cheaper. The pool water is heated so it is always the perfect temperature, which is nice. Just be mindful, they gave 2 room keys and as I needed only 1 I left the other room key in the room to keep the AC on while we were gone and when the housekeeper came to refresh the room she maybe took my 2nd key by mistake thinking it was hers, luckily we came back while she was doing another room and asked her for the key back. The service was great and the waiter and waitress at the restaurant was fantastic. The room itself was spacious and nice and we got the one with view towards the city not the yarra river. The hotel is walking distant to flinders station and cbd.
R. C.
A very well presented and operated hotel. I attended the Vic Water conference recently and was extremely impressed by hotel layout and professional staff presence. It’s location is very central to part of the Yarra river precinct
C. V.
Finally able to go back into Melbourne- made a weekend of it and booked a weekend stay since it also coincided with a birthday. We booked a king suite and had some views of the Yarra. The room was well appointed and of course very clean. We made use of very efficient room service and also visited some very good local restaurants within walking distance. Not all facilities were yet available in-house but we would still highly recommend a stay here.
V. Y.
Tonight is our family tradition to celebrate my husband birthday. It was difference buffet at Langham this time. Fisrt, the unexpected price, almost double, second ,the foods selections are less for the price they charge us. The highlight of tonight, the service that was provided by Yam, she was amazing with assisting us to make sure we have our orders, deliver to the table. Also, she was always happy and kind. She surprised us with a birthday cake for my husband. She was a star.
B. G. (.
The place is beautiful and strangely smells sweet and fruity.
Although we didn’t stay the night, we hope to soon, my partner and I experienced the rejuvenation massage package which was amazing.
The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars was due to the saunas being closed due to COVID, which we weren’t informed of prior to the booking as we would have postponed to have the whole experience.
Our masseuse were lovely and professional and asked us if we had any specific issues, what oils and massage type.
To finish of, a selection of bite sized sweets and Champaign helped conclude our visit.
Will defiantly go again and hopefully get to stay the night.
M. H. S.
Lovely place for lovely people and pets!

Must try buffet in Melbourne, especially if u like seafood and dessert
J. G.
We took up a Luxury Escapes package to stay at The Langham for two nights and wow, it was incredible! We stayed in a one bedroom suite with beautiful views down the Yarra. It was a corner suite so you get incredible views but the suitr was beautiful and there was so much room.
The one bedroom suite normally comes with Club access but unfortunately, due to covid, it's closed. We had $100 food and beverage instead which can be used as room service or in Melbas or Aria Lounge. That was the only disappointment but we were still able to enjoy flawless room service during our stay.
We had breskfast at Melbas both mornings and it was fantastic! The buffet is served to you by staff to make it safe.
The thing I noticed the most, was the outstanding service provided by all staff at the hotel. The professionalism of check in staff, restaurant staff, housekeeping, room service staff and valet are what makes The Langham stand out and deserving of it's 5 star rating.
Thank you to all staff, you made my birthday stay truly memorable. I highly recommend The Langham.
J. H.
It is an upmarket hotel. It has a grand entrance. Staff are mostly attentive and very polite. The room was very comfortable and mostly quiet. The bathroom was big enough and the air-conditioning dried the wet towels hanging there. The shower was excellent with a nice big head spraying plenty of water. And easy to control. Beds nice but pillows way too soft for me.The removal of grapes (from a previous occupant ) from behind the TV took 2 x requests. But a power point not working was fixed the day I left a note for the cleaner.
In the general upstsirs area, there was a nice area to relax and drink, but on 1 occasion, the service was so slow we cancelled the order as we had to leave for a prior appointment. The meals are expensive but very Nice. The beers are ok price. The wine menu is quite extensive, and has very expensive top end wines available.
So overall a very pleasant and relaxing 3 days, as we walked all over the yarra banks both sides up and down the 2.5 klms spread of eateries and attractions.
A. W.
The Langham hotel has just reopened and offers a lunch and dinner modified buffet. Bookings via their website are pretty easy. Due to indoor restrictions the buffet is more like a set menu with wait staff bringing you abundant plates of food in order of lightest to heaviest for your taste buds. Seafood, Sushi, Antipasto, Soup, Indian, Heated Seafood Roast of the Day, Dessert. Drinks are extra to the cost per head of the buffet. I recommend you keep pace with the other patrons as in any buffet you are at risk of being too late and some items you may have your eye on may have already run out. You can of course skip ahead to any item you like. Its amazing value and I thoroughly recommend a visit. If driving I recommend finding a free 3P or 2P car park in Kavanagh St and walking a short 10 minutes along the southbank to the Langham to work up an appetite. There are two dinner settings, 5pm and 8pm.

We stayed for our anniversary, we usually prefer a more modern hotel but heard this hotel was very good and it was, friendly staff, clean and easy to communicate. The food was great
J. A.
Beautiful corner river room, very clean and exceptional service. We had a lady come every afternoon asking if we needed anything, hotel is beautiful and defiantly carry’s a high standard
D. M.
Excellent, centrally located 5 star hotel beside the Yarra river. Delicious food and The Langham afternoon tea is a lovely experience. The staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and their Covid-19 safety procedures are second to none. I can highly recommend staying at the Langham.
G. B.
Waited 20 minutes before having to approach a waiter for service, which resulted in a drinks menu. Another 5 or so minutes later, after again having to get their attention, we managed to order a drink. One was enough - we left.
K. L.
The hotel was just above average. I personally felt the room was outdated in regards to decor. It also had a strong smell of mothballs, reminding me of a nursing home. However, the staff here are extremely friendly and helpful - they made my stay worth all the while. Similarly, the food selection for breakfast and lunch is fantastic.

Enjoyed a meal here. Buffet was nice, cannot complain about the food or service it was all delicious. Had a nice view up and down the Yarra River. The roast pork was a stand out for me. All the fish was delicious. Good place for a treat.
B. N.
Just an excellent hotel all around. Good location and top notch staff. While I was checking us in, the concierge took my 8yo for ice cream, which made him a huge fan. And they were awesome with leaving us some chocolates for Christmas! Made it a very special day for us even though we were away from home.
S. F.
We’ve got pretty high standards, and we couldn’t fault our experience at the Langham. Food to room service was next level, room (1br) was unreal, staff were great and the team culture is obviously first rate because every single person was above and beyond. Must have very good management - you can’t go wrong

Had the afternoon tea at $75 per person. Food and drinks provided were delicious. Service was slow (had to ask for our tea after waiting a fair while). Area wasn’t as tidy as it should be for the price, dirty plates on tables / the bar area. They also wanted to charge $10 when I asked if it would be possible to get 2 additional finger sandwiches. Pleasant experience but had higher expectations for the price point.

Always love coming to the Melba buffet, such lovely service and great food. Loved the sanitisers at the buffet, they really put in effort for COVID measures with someone monitoring we all sanitise but it didn’t take away from the nice experience

Absolutely adored staying here. Old school elegance. That lovely Langham scent wafting through the lobby when you walk in the door. (You can purchase this at the giftshop, which I did. Also in a perfume but it was sold out while I was there.)Staff are friendly and attentive. Love the high ceilings, beautiful carpets, the attention to detail on the elevators, the large water pieces, the tapestries.
Room was lovely and welcoming. Very clean. Love the toiletries available that were replenished as needed. Well stocked mini bar and snacks. Turn down service available. Did not want to leave here, but very excited to return one day.

Lots of seafood, oysters, sashimi, abalone, mussels, prawn's and all other dishes. Heaps of dessert. Was amazing will go back. Seafood lover approved ☺️

Great environment and location. Staff were friendly and helpful. The Chocolate Bar High Tea was amazing with lots of savory and sweet things to eat (although I didn't really like the scones). Loved the cakes and sweets table especially the white chocolate fountain.

This is a great place for a special family occasion. Lunch is magnificent, with a great selection of different cuisines, cheeses, desserts etc.
It's a lovely room with a view over the treetops to to the city and all the staff were very attentive and helpful.
We all loved it.

Room with river view, afternoon tea, pre-dinner and breakfast inclusive ,usage of sauna, pool and gym made our stay enjoyable. It has exceeded our expectation. The staffs are all amazing. Would highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay. Definitely will come back.

High tea was great! They had followed our requirements because my sister’s pregnant so she had her own set, and my mum and myself had a shared one. There was no fuss with any of this. The unlimited coffees were amazing! Many high tea places do the one type of tea and coffee refill, however, we were able to order our own coffee we wanted and they were made perfect every time. High priced but definitely worth your money for wanting something fancy with your friends/family.
K. A.
Their customer service has been nothing short of phenomenal: prompt responses.

I went to melba with my coworker though the entrance is very hard to find if you are coming from flinders station. Entrance is back side if there’s bigger sign that would help. Over all the food over there was great and so many sushi and sashimi!
J. T.
Good buffet lunch here. I am happy with the quality and variety of foods here (seafood, sweets, western and eastern foods). Cakes are nice.
It is worth value of money. We have been here for 3 times from August to November to have lunch here.

Went for a High Tea and Spa treatment package that I received as a gift voucher. The high tea was great, a lot of delicious selections. They had a nice tea list and a glass of bubbly was included. The spa was definitely the highlight - a full 60min facial for me and my friend had a massage. Both were amazing and the staff were great. The swimming pool area/patio and sauna/spa could do with a refresh and the lockers were very small, but those are only minor gripes.

Amazing venue, stunning views, food and comfortable seating!
We were served by the lovely Vartika on Saturday night at our friends wedding. She was attentive, kind and a real asset to the team. Thank you for looking after table nine!!

I came last week with 10 of my friends and all my friends recomended Char Kway Teow but should order from chef Bernhard as he has diffrent style of cooking from the others, the flavor is the best as we had tried previously in Singapore. I really recomend Char Kway Teow from chef Bernhard
W. G.
It's sort of old fashioned. Probably not the style I would usually go for but for service, cleanliness and smiling happy staff it's excellent. Great location as well.
R. J.
My all time favourite place to stay. Rooms are lovely. The detailing throughout the hotel, all the mirrors and chandeliers are gorgeous. The bed was the best hotel bed I’ve ever slept in, so plush and soft, The bathroom and toiletries available and replenished daily were wonderful. I love the pink touches everywhere. View from our room was amazing, I did not want to leave.
The only thing I can give constructive criticism about is a couple of our lights didn’t work (one reading light attached to the bed head and a lamp), but we didn’t really need to use them anyway.
A wonderful memory and experience, can’t wait to return.
J. D.
The Chocolate High Tea at Aria was a lux treat for a birthday surprise. The savouries were delicious, and they cater for dietary requirements well.
The dessert buffet was incredible - every item was rich and well crafted. Make sure you go with an appetite!
The staff were lovely, professional and accommodating.
Book in advance - you won't regret it.

Went to the Melba restaurant for a buffet lunch, for our wedding anniversary, and was incredibly impressed by the variety and quality of the food available. From light salads with seafood, to roasts, stirfries, and indian cuisine. A fantastic time with excellent service from everyone. A particular mention for Tara, one of the hosts who really made us feel welcome and at home, a celebratory glass of champagne, and a parting gift of wedding anniversary cakes to take home.
We look forward to returning on our next special occasion.
A. S.
Absolutely beautiful and elegant hotel, wonderfully clean & well presented. Would definitely come back. Potential room for improvement would be vegan options on the menus & less judgemental check in staff. Otherwise an awesome experience. View from our room was spectacular too!!
J. C.
A favorite hotel of ours, especially at Christmas time when the tree is up. We will be back as soon as its opens again after lock down. From the friendly staff to the amazing buffet a true 5star hotel, I hope they don’t change a thing we love it just the way it is. Easy to find just off of city rd just a short walk to crown casino. Carparks near by and with vallet parking available. Highly recommend staying here if there’s a room available but if not just stop by for lunch and a photo near the fountain.
S. V.
Good buffet selection of many cuisines. Easy access. Very nice staff members.
G. F.
Overall it's a very good buffet. There is a seafood station, Indian, malaysian, roast meat and dessert. The buffet is a bit smaller than others I've had but the quality is good and service very attentive. Really enjoyed it and recommend to try at least once.
F. N.
Very nice hotel staff
S. S. P.
Easy & efficient booking & confirmation process. Even the sms to inform about parking etc was really helpful.
$19 valet parking was a good offer.
Table allocation as requested was v good as was the ambience.
Attention to food allergy request was v good.
Lunch food variety, quality, flavours, were all very good and worth the cost.
Staff service was excellent from walk in to leaving.
To improve I would say the Earl Grey tea flavour had much to be desired. A better quality would greatly improve your guest's tea experience.
I recommend and would return.
P. S.
Great location and the breakfast served in the Melba restaurant overlooking the river is fantastic. Generally plush but slightly overpriced as some of the interiors are old and worn in certain sections. Staff are friendly and helpful. Ordered a room service meal and the curry served just tasted like salt and had very little flavour. That said I would definitely stay here again.
C. W.
Absolutely phenomenal. The style, decor and comfort of the rooms is top notch, with a bit of old warm charm. The marble floors, bathrooms and hallways look beautiful and classic, and are well maintained. Service is by far the best I have ever had, I had a severe allergic reaction due to sensitivity to bleach used in cleaning, and they were very accommodating and immediately swapped the pillows for hand-washed ones. The concierge is helpful and the security helped quieten rowdy neighbours on one occasion. Overall, the place exudes charm, class and warm service. I had the great opportunity to stay here for a week on a business trip and, suffice to say, I was not eager to return home. I will ensure that I book the Langham for all future business trips to Melbourne. In room dining was phenomenal with an entire portable dining table brought in, complete with a food reheater, fully set up table with flowers, and complimentary Langham mints. Better than many fine dining experiences I have had!
I cannot recommend the Langham enough, and will be returning as often as I can.
J. I.
We had a 2 night short vacation in Melbourne and stayed at The Langham. I love this hotel especially with our upgrade to an executive room with access to the executive lounge. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and attentive. The pool and spa area is beautiful and I love the sauna area. The location was perfect for our trip.
J. A.
I booked a few nights at Langham. I had higher expectations but it was an average experience. The hotel is dated and their hospitality didn’t stand out. Will I stay here again? Probably not.
T.
The Langham is probably one of the nicest hotels I've ever been to and I'm not exaggerating here.
From the food to the staff and the rooms, The Langham is your one stop hotel that has it all.
The atmosphere is very old fashioned but very pretty.
It has views of Melbourne which are beautiful and the rooms have lovely views.
The room is comfortable and spacious plus homey as well, the amenities are a nice touch as well.
My boyfriend and I went for our 1 year anniversary and they left a little cake for us to have and wine as well even though we didn't have that.
The Melba Restaurant is lovely and buffet as well which means you can eat as much as you want and the staff are always there to help if you have inquires.
The staff are very friendly and polite which makes you feel that you made the right choice in picking them to have you.
The valet parking is nice and since everything is close by, you can just walk everywhere.
They have a spa which offers treatments and a pool which is lovely to swim in plus a spa to relax in.
The bathroom was nice even if the shower was a bit small.
The only disappointment was that I had a menu which showed desserts which sounded amazing but at the time, they didn't have them.

5 of us attended on the 27th of DEC,2020 @125 PP. Booking under Larry Fernando.
Lobster Thermido had no lobster meat instead had cream sauce all over it. Fresh Oysters were dehydrated. The guy making duck roll was stingy, asked for a roast duck leg, given a few shavings instead. Prok belly was sublime, Tandoori Prawns with mint chutney was exceptional good. Naan was so fresh too. Kitchen and waiters were very attentive. Overall a great experience. Will be back again.
H. M.
Lovely hotel & lovely stay apart from the complete balls up by reception. Got the room as a Birthday present but they still charge me, when I questioned it at check in, they said it was just a holding amount. $330 seemed like a lot. To make matters worse I paid cash for my bar bill & that was also on my bill when I checked out. It took 4 phones calls before it was addressed & clear from my bank account. I also sent a letter (E-mail) expressing my disappointment and received no reply which I thought was very disappointing to say the least.
Have stayed at the Langham a few times but never again!! They turned my Birthday into a bit of a nightmare with their lack of trained staff at reception & even the accounts department. Such a shame, my staff were also embarrassed by all of this after giving me such a special & expensive gift.
M. H.
It's just amazing. From the fragrance you smell when you walk in, to the nice and quiet and well-appointed rooms, to the buffet breakfast, to the nice staff who really work to keep you happy... It's def our favourite Melbourne hotel.
J. F.
5 of us visited the Melba Restaurant on the 27th of December,2020. Booking under Larry Fernando. Oysters not fresh and dehydrated, Lobster thimidor had no lobster meat, just coated with cheese and sauce. Duck guy very stingy with portions. Asked for a let if roast duck to only get a few shavings. Pork Belly was exceptional. Tandoori prawns with mint chutney and the garlic naan were fresh and flavoursome. Drinks were $13 for single shot of black label and $14 for a single shot of Hendricks Gin....paying 125 per head I expected more in terms of sea food. However considering the service of kitchen and waiting staff it was a so so experience. It was my first time here at Melba, I will go back again just for those tandoori prawns served by Deo.
C. D.
A uniquely one on one experience. You are not just a number. Service is amazing. Staff always friendly and go out of their way to make your stay just perfect. Melba’s never disappoints. Best sushi and seafood available. Treat yourself at the day spa. Sauna, steam rooms and spa are my favourite places to be. You feel like a real princess when you stay here
N. T.
The langham is beautiful, but one of the more outdated hotels in the city. Still has a very modern bathroom.
They do make you feel special with little treats in your room for special occasions.
I find the food is way overpriced for what you get, but still very delicious. They make a lot of items to order but I wouldn’t pay $220 for 2 people ever again.
D. K.
I went here for the buffet breakfast and was quietly disappointed - it was pretty busy but there was no atmosphere. Both the bacon and eggs were cold and the food overall seemed to lack in care, there was a fair amount of variety but some stations were just empty. The staff lacked clear hospitality skills, the maitre de in particular was borderline offensive, considering The Langham's reputation the whole meal experience really underwhelmed me. Only highlight was the chocolate fountain although at 9.30 am that in itself was not particularly impressive!
A. S.
From the moment I walked in the front doors I felt like I was visiting my beloved and filthy rich Auntie; I was welcomed and cared for by everyone. I had booked the most basic room but that was better than any room I’ve ever stayed in anywhere in the world (I’m not a first-class traveller but I’ve done pretty well). The bed was a delight, the room was full of little surprises and the turn-down service was next level. Every minute of my experience was joyful. I’m not sure how any future stays could match it but I intend to find out!
J. P.
I’d love to give our 4 day stay a 5 star rating stay but can’t. My hubby requested a cnr river view room on a higher level for our anniversary, something with a great view.. despite his request we were placed on the lowest floor with the river only visible from one window as the other faced a building/city. The first nights stay was uncomfortable as the air con in our room was faulty and the noise meant we had to be moved the next night. We found ourselves in a higher room - this time with spectacular views. To be fair the Manager bought us champagne and chocolate to apologize for the move and was genuinely lovely - however the fact that we only ended up in a nicer room due to a faulty air con and not due to our initial request was really disappointing. Considering the price - the hotel needs to address issues like the dated faulty air con. and the importance of at least replying to guests request with a yes or no email or call as to whether they are possible or not. It is a grand old hotel but....
J. B.
Very nice hotel staff

Beautiful hotel nice staff

Decent enough hotel for 4 star but I would not call it 5 star. The room was definitely well overdue for a refurb. The decor was very dated and it smelled like grandma’s house. The food on offer was well prepared but was extremely overpriced and the al a carte menu was very uninspired.
Service was great and staff were all fantastic.
At this price point I expected a lot more.
M. M.
Great service, comfortable rooms and exceptional attention to detail from house keeping staff. I used the spa and pool facilities and they were clean and well equipped. The only two things i would add are dental floss in the dental kit and hair straightener in the spa powder room facilities. But that's really just a little suggestion for improvment, everything was really fantastic.
N. S.
The rooms are classic, beautiful, traditionally appointed with great quality fittings, comfortable beds and excellent linens.
I liked the writing desk in my room, the view from the window and the absolute silence thanks to good quality soundproofing and thick walls. Lovely place to stay.
J. R.
Love visiting this place for a hit of class and luxury. Truly beautiful hotel and I absolutely love the spa and pool on the 9th floor with a spectacular view of the city. Enjoyed a package at the Chuan spa too and highly recommend you splurge on it! Our package also included flower inspired desserts which were exquisite! This has been my third visit and will not be my last! Cant wait to try out a high tea next time!
D. R.
Beautiful hotel good staff
G. A.
Absolutely love staying here. The staff were very generous in upgrading our room when they heard we were celebrating our anniversary, and sent wine and complimentary mud cake to our room. Spectacular views, and the pillows are absolutely incredible. When I go back I'm definitely buying some for my own bed!
k. j.
This has to be one of the best hotels in Melbourne. Fantastic food, great staff and attention to details mean this is a welcoming hotel right in the heart of South bank.
T.
BUFFET LIKE NEVER BEFORE! Omg it was so good with a variety of different foods from different corners of the world. Seafood were fresh and kept fresh. Very lovely smiles and greetings from staff. The hotel itself was stunning with a water fountain flowing from a few floors down to the entrance that is being treated as a wishing fountain. Their pink olden day car services parked outside! You did it Melbourne! I’d definitely stay here if I could afford it, but this time it was for the food.
M. W.
Fabulous hotel. The team are all smiles and couldn’t do enough for you.
I don’t like gushy over the top service because it’s false/uncomfortable - But the team at the Langham strike the most perfect balance in their approach to guest service.
When your team love their job, it shines through in their personality and they simply want the best for their guests. 10/10 for your team and hotel !!!
R. W.
Love this place but for the first time I was slightly disappointed with the room. Perhaps we just got the "small room" but bathroom was small, bed was okay but not as comfy as some I have stayed in, pillows were ordinary. Melbas for Dinner and Breakfast were simply first class, staff were incredible helpful, cheery and attentive. One issue though when I order a Cuppa of Tea I expect the water to have been boiled, do not fill the tea pot with warm or pre boiled water. It offends me as an Englishman.
K. W.
Just perfect! Spent a couple of nights at Langham following wedding. Been here plenty of times; love it. The location is absolutely fantastic. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful wherever you are in the hotel. The small touches like the barman shouting my mother in law and I a cuppa was also lovely.
Bit of confusion about our booking at reception (hubby was staying on for work); but it was our fault not Langhams, however they were so obliging anyway and didn’t point out that we were wrong. They just sorted it out and we discovered ourselves later that we’d stuffed up, but they just looked after us.
R. C.
Had a great experience at the hotel. The package of food and room mid week was a great experience and economical. I still think they need to increase the size of their buffet compared to the conservatory at crown as it does lack a little in the selection department. Overall experience was excellent!
L. A.
Lovely hotel, has a grand timeless air to it. All the staff are welcoming and professional. The room (a river view terrace) is generously appointed and very comfortable. A nice touch is a bathroom with both a bath and a shower.
M. (.
S8mply stunning hotel. All the staff where extremly friendly and helpful. Room was good, not exceptional at this price point, but still good. Bed is extremely comfortable. Breakfast buffet is really good and heaps of options. They were also kind enough to let us stay quite late as my wife got sick on our last day. Highly reccomend this hotel for a getaway close to everything. Easy walk to city and trains.
M. M.
Gorgeous place. Entry and most of the hotel is really well maintained. It's definitely marketed to older customers and the pink was a bit overwhelming in some places. Customer service was faultless though and the buffet was amazing. Would stay here again despite the demographic mismatch.
G. A.
Lovely helpful staff and a beautiful hotel..it was exceptionally clean and immaculate. A very grand hotel.
My only fault would be that the shower was very dark and the air conditioning wasn't very cool for January.
I would definitely stay there again as above all that, the location was perfect.
J.
Stayed here for one night for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing. Service is excellent, rooms are lovely and clean, location is perfect and the breakfast buffet is the best. The only downside was that the balcony isn't weather proof so if it's raining (which it was that weekend) it is pointless and cant be used. Besides that I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a luxurious stay in Melbourne.
R. W.
Beautiful hotel nice staff
M. o.
Was excited to go here, as it had great reviews. The place and the food was pretty decent, but a small handful of the staff made it quite a let down for me.
C. B.
Hands down the best hotel in Melbourne!
We stayed here for our honeymoon a few months ago In the 1 bedroom suite and a second time today in the deluxe king.
The rooms are classy and elegant and the staff are exceptional on all levels, we looks forward to continuing to visit this beautiful establishment!
We wanted to especially thank our beautiful host Jamilla who continued to be extremely helpful and friendly many times throughout our stay.
Thanks guys!
V. T.
We checked in after midnight so the entrance felt quite unimpressive. If not cheap. We had to talk through a 10 years old intercom to be granted access to the lobby. Decoration is amazing.
Rooms are on the smaller side of the hotel scale, but it helps that heater will warm things up faster. I would recommend this hotel for people who enjoy vintage style. Personally I like minimalistic design + quality. This hotel is more of vintage + quality. Service is great. We ordered a wine at 2am and gor it in 10 minutes. But there seems to be some communication problem with the dining staffs as I had specified the wine I want and no more glasses needed, but was called back by a different staff to be asked the same thing 5 minutes later. Overall, great hotel! But not my cup of tea.
M. T.
We had a wedding and the bridal party needed to change. We requested early check in but it wasn't guaranteed as they were fully booked out the night before. So chances were pretty low. However, Miriam at the front desk was extremely accomodating and went out of her way to find us a room. THANK YOU SO MUCH MIRIAM, YOU ARE AMAZING!

Amazing hotel nice place

Had a lovely stay a year ago but this time around doesn’t compare. Room was small and outdated. Upon check in we were told we had until 8:30 pm to do high tea at the restaurant and to call them to book but when we did we were told it actually finished at 4:30? We asked if we could still make it if we rushed and made it by 4:20 and we’re told that no, we couldn’t. Extremely upsetting seeing we book this room on our last night in Melbourne specifically to do it. They were not at all accommodating. Very poor customer service.
a. b.
Amazing. Was the most impressed by one of the waiter who came over to me with an glass of water and ice completely out the blue and offered me the glass saying he saw that I was quite warm as I just arrived and it was very hot outside. Staff are amazing and the food was delicious. Well done.
l. v.
I booked a hotel room facing the Yarra river for about $1,150 and it was definitely worth it. The room was spectacular with unbelievable views and amazing service from the hotel staff. The room itself was very neat and clean. The service was amazing, I couldn’t fault my stay at the Langham. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who likes to have a beautiful view of the river or anybody who likes a beautiful hotel room.
L. F.
Large room with great features, luxurious but bed was not comfortable for me. My package included access to the Premium lounge for breakfast, afternoon tea and pre dinner drinks. Very indulgent stay.
E.
Always a great experience to stay here. The beds are soooo comfy. The rooms have awesome views of the river and city. The location is perfect a its a few minutes walk to Flinders' street station, and there are plenty of eateries on Southbank if you don't want to dine at the in house restaurants. The pool and spa area is very relaxing and quiet - nothing like a good soak in the spa after a day out in the city. The staff are super polite and friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. Free wifi in the hotel is great. The private dining (room service) food is excellent and a great option when you're too tired to go out. They offer valet parking and can also hold luggage if you need to check in early or check out and go out for the day. Its an expensive hotel to stay at, but the cost is quite reasonable given the location, service, facilities and elegance of the hotel.
K. B.
We stayed here the weekend we became engaged and then again for our wedding. I can fault nothing about this hotel or its services. The service is outstanding, the rooms clean and the sheets/pillows of high quality. We enjoyed eating and drinking in the lounge and loved the pool area. We have stayed in a number of Melbourne CBD hotels and the Langham is by far the best. We’ll be back!!
J. J.
Very nice hotel in city
T. M.
The facilities are wonderful. The hotel is spotlessly clean in every area. You always remember my preferences and are the most caring person I have ever met in all places I have stayed Wishing all the staff much loving kindness and looking forward to my next visit. Loved the atmosphere of the hotel, highly reccomend.
D. J.
Best place we have found to stay in Melbourne. You really get what you pay for here. Staff are excellent, friendly and well trained. The whole hotel is so well appointed. Restaurant is fantastic, food is so good.
We will be back!
J. C.
Rooms are a bit old and need maintenance. Executive rooms have peeling wallpaper, glue on the walls, and quite small bathtubs. Club facilities aren't as nice, quiet or spacious as the Hyatt, but must say the staff are very friendly and attentive.
T. M.
The staff was some of the best I have seen during my travels. The staff members are very friendly and willing to help in any way. The rooms are exceptional with the luxury comforts. I would highly recommend The Langham to anyone wanted a high quality stay & I will be recommending it to all my family & friends.

Good location. Nicely appointed hotel quite elegant decor, but rooms looking a bit tired. Very comfortable bed. Good facilities, nice pool. Great view from corner room
A. L.
Wedding: VERY attentive to details and service and value is excellent.
Hotel room: clean, beautiful suite.
Customer service: some staff exceed friendly more than others but overall everyone is kind and attentive .
Environment: when I enter the hotel it's love at the first sight all over again, if you're lucky you can hear a pianist playing in the background, the Langham hotel smell is wonderful and you'll feel very calm and at peace.

My husband and I stayed in the executive terrace room .It was a gift from my kids for my 70th Birthday. The staff were very attentive. The customer relations gentleman went over and above to make our stay memorable and it was Thankyou Jonothan for the special touches. The cake and wine were very much appreciated. We enjoyed afternoon tea in the club room. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had dinner in the Melba restaurant. The choices and variety were amazing. The staff also very attentive. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace and enjoyed the magnificent views of Melbourne.Jonothan had blankets sent to our room just in case "It was chilly".We enjoyed a spa in the Chuan Spa.It is a well equipped facility.Jonothan Thankyou for making my Birthday a memorable experience you are an asset to The Langham Hotel but I am sure they know it.Jackie and John Berry.

We had our wedding and stayed for 2 nights. The events team was so professional and thoughtful our wedding was stress free. Our stay was perfect and we had a wonderful experience in Melbourne City. Thank you all at langham for an unforgettable experience!
S. E.
The best buffet I have ever been to. Don’t think of the usual style of buffet, this place will impress you with the quality and type of food they have. As much seafood as you can eat, as much of any desert you can imagine. There are chefs that make your dish to order from Indian, Thai and roast sections. An amazing meal at a very nice location. Watch the flames along Southbank while you eat.
T. M.
We had not stayed at The Langham before and found it to very quiet and comfortable. Room size was adequate, and well laid out. We had a spa suite which was just amazing. The staff is very helpful and politely friendly. The staff at this hotel have been very well chosen.
T. M.
I had a brief love affair with this property for a few years, I loved the attention to detail and the little touches. All the staff members were friendly, including housekeeping who offered a smile and hello. I stayed in the Executive Floor rooms and found the room to be very comfortable.
T. M.
The hotel rooms are well maintained and I can see the staff is really looking after the condition of the room during daytime when you are out of the room. The room was impeccably clean and had all the expected amenities. The staff were …
M. S.
Great room. Very clean and tidy. Service from all the staff was perfect. Buffet breakfast was just a little too pricey at $50 per head so we skipped that. The parking was a little over priced as well at $64 a night.
M. D.
My stay at the Langham was a Birthday pressie to myself! One of my besties came along for the experience. I upgraded to a room with a view, it was at minimal cost for an absolutely fabulous view.
Everyone treated as very well but I felt Andrew, the hotel front entrance greeter & Tara from the breakfast waitering staff went above & beyond with their service to us. They were were friendly, professional & happy! Which made me feel relaxed & happy too. Thank you to everyone at the Langham!
M. R.
Beautiful hotel best service
T. B.
Entry and foyer is beautiful , rooms are old world charm . The resturant is like the old All Star all you can eat buffet , poorly organised , some if this dishes had run out and people everywhere . A resturant is a far better option . The rooms are not very well sound proofed with the bass thump of near by night clubs clearly audbile over the tv even on the 23rd floor , dissapointing for the price .
Breakfast was the chaos as the evning meal people everywhere and a unorganized.

This place really makes you feel great.Elegance and chic oozes from every corner. The restaurant was fantastic with a great choice of food, healthy options, freshly squeezed juices from different fruits and veggies of your choice. The spa and swimming pool are fantastic with a stunning view of the city. The rooms are clean and welcoming with a relaxing ample space to sit and relax in front of the window, admiring the unique view with chilled Champagne in hand...Aghhh,nice! To hold this taste for longer i recommend pop by the Langham shop on the first floor, where you can find all sorts of prezies from pampering to indulging all senses gifts for everyone, wrapped up with the signature pink and gold paper and pink ribbons.Real pink extravaganza! It's worth visiting for sure..
C. N. R.
Good location at Southgate attentive staff, podium lounge very stark and uninviting. Rooms well appointed but a bit small. Shower was weak but adequate. No light in shower cubical and shelf in shower very small. Room nice and quiet and air works well.
S. J.
I've been visiting The Langham Hotel for several years now and I can honestly say it is one of my favourite venues in Melbourne. Everything from the moment you arrive is perfectly curated to make you feel special. The atmosphere is soothing and sumptuous, but never stuffy or overly conservative.
I recently had an opportunity to host an event in their Yarra Room and I can confidently say that they bring the same level of service to their event hosting as they do to their hotel and restaurant guests.
Always a delightful experience.

Beautiful Langham! The deluxe room, very spacious (unlike Crown), very clean with spectacular views of Melbourne. Pool, Spa overlooking the city skyline, Wow! They even bring your dinner there. Sauna, Steam rooms including professional therapeutic massage services. They provide unlimited drinking water and towels for free, when using their amenities. Crown did not offer such a service. Bathrooms wonderfully presented. Beds Soo comfortable. Staff very professional, well mannered, very helpful and friendly made our stay Super comfortable! I had the most relaxing time at this hotel and highly recommend Langham. You can even just make a day trip with spa and massage treatments. Very Classy Place with a modern Elegance and a bit of old fashioned charm!

Amazing location. Rooms aren't huge, but most have good views and comfortable. Beautifully decorated for christmas.

Always a good place to have food

The Langham features an opulent entrance with staircases leading up to the restaurant. You know you are definitely somewhere special. The buffet, with its international cuisine, never disappoints.
J. P.
Walking into the Langham you feel you've been transported into a different time. The marble staircases, central fountain and high ceilings is visually beautiful. We went to the Langham for a special event high tea at Melba which was the Mario Nintendo themed high tea. Though the service and the setting was lovely, the actual quality of the cakes were only ok. It would have been nice if more of the menu visually matched the theme as only 2 items were themed, and the rest were average cup cakes. I would like to come back to try the Wedgwood high tea as there were customers in an opposing table who ordered that set which looked really nice.
B. F.
From the second we arrived at the Langham until the second we left we were blown away. Truly a 5 star experience and without a doubt the best hotel in Melbourne. Every staff member was kind and helpful. The rooms were beautiful, the most comfortable bed and pillows, breakfast at Melba is a must and the view from the spa is incredible. The Langham offers all the little details which make all the difference and make for an amazing experience. We will be back and highly recommend everyone treat themselves to this experience at least once!
M. C.
Excellent buffet but the drinks service at the table can be a bit hit and miss. Wide selection of food. The sushi, seafood, and Indian are particularly good.
I. M.
Beautiful hotel best service
S. W.
Beautiful place!
They will impress you with the quality and type of food they have.
They also have regal rooms with everything you need.
Staff are friendly and courteous.
It has been a wonderful stay.
T. M.
The hotel is situated in a very central location, a short walk to flinders station. We arrived 9am not expecting the room to be ready so we were pleasantly surprised. Service was okish I had high expectation probably due to experiencing the High Tea service which was faultless. Hotel provided a memorable weekend in beautiful Melbourne.
G. L.
buffet dinner is wonderful and lots of variety. seafood area is one of the decks you should not miss. food is fantastic and staffs are friendly.
L. L.
I've stayed here regularly for work and I love this hotel. Rooms are luxuriously appointed (if you don't mind a lot of pink accents!) in grand old-fashioned charm. The restaurant specialises in high teas and also serves deliciously prepared food for all meals. The location is close to major businesses and cultural attractions including Hamer Hall and the National Gallery of Victoria. Superb value for a hotel of this calibre.
K. C.
The Langham is an iconic jewel in Melbourne's hotel and hospitality industry. Guests are met with an opulent setting which is equalled with 5 star service. Staff do everything to ensure that guests are happy and that their stay is memorable. I attended for a high tea and was absolutely delighted with the quality of the tea, the table settings and the food. I strongly recommend this venue to anyone who is seeking a special experience.

We stay in Melbourne every few weeks and this was our first time in the Langham- very impressed! Yulia checked up in and she was so friendly. Our room was beautiful- great bathroom and very comfortable bed. At night, we received a knock on the door, we were given a complimentary bottle of water each and wished a good night, which was so nice.
We parked in the Crown multilevel parking and walked along Southbank to the hotel. The front entrance isn't easy to see from here, you need to walk around to the back of the hotel and you'll see the grand staircase inside leading to the lobby.
The spa and pool were very nice- you can order drinks/Cocktails in the pool and view Melbourne up high at the same time.
J. M.
We ate breakfast there with a friend who had stayed the night. The buffet was delicious, especially the ham carved straight off the bone! And the omelette - WOW! Everything was great, including the very attentive serving staff!
K. F.
Attended The Langham for the Chocolate Bar Afternoon Tea for a girlfriends wedding.
While the food was extraordinary (as to be expected) the service was a little left to be desired.
The table we had was way too small, and we often had to shuffle tea cups and plates around just to fit everything on.
We had asked for another round of sandwiches, which we were told was on its way... but never arrived. The same thing happened when we requested water, and found we had to do so numerous times before we actually got it.
The staff on a whole were extremely friendly, but just were inconsistent with our requests - possibly due to the number of staff looking after each table... so requests may have just been lost..
The last thing worth mentioning, was the lack of 'light' food to compliment all the heavy chocolate and savoury foods... Even after the first round everyone started to feel heavy and sluggish - some fruit to nibble on in between would have been appreciated. So just be prepared that while the food truly is wonderful, you may not eat anything near your $70 due to it all being quite heavy food.

The Langham is a beautiful venue in a fantastic convenient location. The decor is classic and inviting, and you feel like a royal walking up the stairs in the foyer. I attended for the high tea which I couldn't fault. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious and the two hours sitting was just the right amount of time. on the little more expensive size however it's definitely a must try High Tea in Melbourne.
M. E.
WOW, what an amazing restaurant. First time I've tried sushi and absolutely loved it, so fresh and the staff were great in helping with recommendations. I have experienced both dining with and without my children and I must say that the staff are great with my children, offering assistance with food and beverages. I would recommend this fine dining experience to anyone looking for the best service and food in Melbourne.
B. A.
As we were a group of 7 ladies that have known each other for 71 years we have celebrated at The Langham Melbourne for the past 3 years in July actually last Thursday night. We have been delighted with the hotel and the staff could not be more friendly and very helpful. We will certainly be back next July.
B. T.
Had a pre-mother’s day high tea with my parents this afternoon at the aria bar. The waitress Ai was very friendly and helpful! She kept an eye on our drinks and sure did look after us for the entire time! She knows absolutely when to greet and offer us another tea, which made our time here very smooth and relax. The lady who delivered the high tea stand to our table was very helpful too! She found that the stand wasn’t stable and quickly offer a solution that made this tiny inconvenience as a plus point to our dining experience. Wonderful four-level stands with many quality desserts and savouries with unique designs. Scones were covered by beautiful folded napkins so that when we moved on from the savouries they were still warm! Champagne added the value of money and the Champagne glasses were shiningly polished and they were so elegant! Definitely will come back many more times! Best high tea in melbourne so far! Highly recommended!

The Langham is always a nice place to stay - the rooms are reasonably sized and quiet, the beds comfortable, and the walk into the CBD pretty short (although if it's raining hard you will get wet going across the river).
The hotel has a good range of restaurants, and the breakfast choices are good (if expensive). Plus there's a huge range of choices in the restaurants along the South bank.
P. B.
The location of the hotel was very good. Located in south bank it was close to many restaurants and it was just a short walk to the cbd.
The rooms in my opinion are average. Seem quited dated to me though they where very clean and tidy.
The pool was very small but it was heated and undercover. They did have a geat spa though.
The service was nothing special. Only stayed for one night so not much to complain about.
I would stay there again because of the location.
M. i. B.
The Langham boasts stunning luxury accommodation and professional VIP service in a prime location, and is a popular choice for many of our brides and grooms on their wedding night. We couldn’t recommend them enough.
M. H. (.
Every night they restocked your room and provided sleepers. The workers always greeted you when you left and returned. The concierge was always busy but other workers were just as helpful. Room service evenn warmed up my food with a requested signed consent, notes typed on letter head were left in the room along with the local newspaper. I enjoyed my stay.
M. S.
We go to the buffet dinner once a year and it’s completely amazing. Love the variety, quality and service. Well worth the money IMHO.
k. m.
My new favourite hotel! All staff were welcoming and accommodating. Rooms were super clean and great views. Bar and restaurant were amazing.
Y. P. (.
Went to the Melba for buffet lunch with my fiance. The view of Flinders station was nice to have lunch next to. Food was delicious especially the fresh seafood and chef's food at the Indian station, service and coffee was exceptional and we opted for valet parking. Friendly service. It was a little slow upon retrieving our car but they seemed to be quite busy. Definitely going back!
L. B.
A good hotel but feels very 1990s. Great location in Southbank and was the pick of Melbourne hotels in the 1990s / 2000s. Crown has over taken The Langham as the hotel of choice for Melbourne travel since mid 2000s. It is also very hard to drive to - and so don’t stay here if you plan to drive to Melbourne (probably best to avoid the Southbank or the city if you plan to drive). Good value now with excellent rates for a hotel that used to be the best in Melbourne. Service is still top notch and facilities are great - just feels dated.
J. R.
A very special place for us when we want the full five star experience in Melbourne. Well appointed rooms, food choices are amazing and the staff are very friendly, helpful and professional.
F. S.
Best hotel I've ever stayed at. I'm a busy mum who was in need of a night to herself! Booked online at the Langham and was a tad worried as I've never spend that much on a room before. From the moment I arrived I stopped worrying.
The valet took my car and my bags disappeared to my room before I was even checked in. I had to wait around 2 minutes to check in (so what?) so they apologized and upgraded me to a river view room. The room was amazing. So many little extras and lots of hotel info to read (which I love), a big flatscreen TV, quality toiletries, fabulous minibar and lots of little freebies.
I didn't even leave my room that afternoon! While watching movies at around 8pm, there was a knock on my door and a lovely lady asked if she could turn down my bed. Why yes you can. Aside from the turning down of the bed, she placed water bottles and upside down glasses on the bedside tables, put my Langham slippers onto a small white sheet laid out on the floor, arranged my towels in case I wanted a shower and even folded the toilet paper into a little triangle again.
Room service dinner - amazing. Fantastic food delivered with fresh flowers on a white tablecloth.
The BEST bed ever.
Breakfast - just as impressive as dinner. Again, lots of little extras like the newspaper in a special little bag.
I just wish I could have stayed longer. Such a nice experience to feel so well looked after, instead of always looking after others. Busy mum revitalised. :)
Almost forgot - when I left the following day I found a cold bottle of water in my car with a card saying compliments of the Langham. :)
J. M.
Beautiful hotel, neat & clean room. Slept like a log. Room service 12 mindnight to 6am. Breakfast buffet was fabulous and the staff are wonderful. Close to Eureka Skydeck and Flinders st station. Fantastic views. I'm gong back.
T. L.
Always stay here for work.
Great location, friendly staff who remember my name, well equipped gym and comfortable beds.
Only let down is the place needs a refurb, bit run down.
R. D.
The Langham is situated in the heart of Melbourne's wonderful Southbank precinct. The hotel has an old world feel yet all the conviences of a modern hotel. The rooms are spacious and well equipped.
They have a casual lounge bar that is great for a few drinks before heading out. If you are eating at the hotel be sure to enjoy the chocolate fountain.
P. P.
Good food and helpful staff
K. D.
Absolutely amazing, stayed in the one bedroom suite. The Langham is absolutely beautiful the views, look and feel of the place. Staff are so welcoming. The Langham club is really good as well you feel number one your whole stay.
G. J.
The room, food and facilities are great. The staff were were fantastic. Except one guy at the check in desk who was unfriendly, unhelpful and rude. I'll skip the details but fortunately the customer sevice person beside the check in desk saw the situation and did his best to resolve it. If it weren't for him our stay would have been ruined.
T. T. D.
An impressive elegant entrance and with one of the best views in Southbank. The dining room/restaurant hosts excellent buffet breakfast and lunch with do-it-yourself juice bar and chocolate fondue, hot bars and a large selection of food choices catering for everyone.
A. T.
Apart from a small incident where our toddler’s towel was misplaced, their service was excellent, top notch luxury, attention to detail and great buffet breakfast! Will visit again, they even went out of their way to make up for that incident. Great service!
L. D.
Had the buffet. The main course indian food was authentic. They know what spicy means! Loved it! Definitely will go for indian food again. Fresh seafood was good but sauces didnt match. Good variety of salad n the octopus salad was a fun lovely suprise salad! Main course roast pork n lamb well cooked and perfect. Dessert was disappointing. Ambience was good. Staff very extremely helpful and lovely. Good place to celebrate with family.

One of Melbourne’s finest hotels . Great staff and awesome rooms and friendly service .
Situated in perfect spot along side of yarra river crown casino and short walk to mcg and other stadiums.
Perfect for couples and families.
J. B.
Great hotel and service but the beds are too soft for my liking.

High Tea was very nice.

This is the BEST hotel ever!!!
My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night on 30 June 2012 and it was magical arriving here in my wedding dress it was the most awesome place to spend your wedding night.
We were unable to get back there this year for our anniversary due to an illness in the family, and I was very divested I was crying!
I have stayed at many many many hotels and by far the best of these is the Langham Melbourne and I look forward to spending my future wedding anniversaries there.
Thank you Langham for a fantastic wedding night!!!
C. F.
A little dated but lovely friendly staff and nice sheets and very comfortable beds.
B. C.
Very elegant upscale hotel. Excellent hotel gym and spa. The rooms have a lovely bathroom with separate shower and tub with marble finishings. Parking is quite expensive as is typical in Melbourne CBD 69/night valet only.
K. B.
Outdated decor, really needs to be updated. Room was clean but not overly spacious. The staff were wonderful, however when booking an overnight stay package, one would expect for valet parking to be inclusive. Not likely to return again.
J. X.
The pool and spa section is excellent. For a one off price you can enter and have access to the pool facilities aswell as the sauna rooms. Great for relaxation. Don't be surprised if you see some high profile visitors at this establishment!

Treated very well. We had our wedding reception here. First class in every respect

My partner and i stayed at the Langham on the grand final weekend.
We enjoyed great service on a very bust weekend.
Very central, clean rooms, close to some top restaurants.
We had an enjoyable stress free weekend.

Beautiful first class hotel in the heart of Melbourne. Amazing views of Yarra River. Friendly helpful service. Had a brilliant stay. Pricey but worth every cent.
A. S.
Staff are polite and very helpful! Food tasted great and service is great! Stayed for 2 nights and 3 days and was treated with so much respect. I would recommend for family and friends!
D.
Fascinating experience with super friendly reception during our checking in. They automatically upgraded our room to the next level which is river view due to unavailability of standard room with city view. It is really a state of art hotel.
L. E.
Pros: service very friendly and the buffet was delicious.
Cons: rooms very outdated and parking a rip off.
Would return to eat, but not to stay overnight.

I arrive at the Langham Hotel, my car door is opened, and I am greeted by a smiling face and a cheery "hello Welcome to The Langham," I alight from my car. My bags are removed and my car is whisked away to be Valet Parked. I walk up the sweeping marble staircase and stop to admire the fountain which is bubbling cheerily. Arriving at the reception desk the friendly staff already have all my details, they greet me by name, hand me my room key and explain where my room is situated. I am surrounded by opulence in every direction, I look towards the restaurant and marvel at seeing the Yarra River, framed by floor to ceiling windows. Taking the lift to my room I have a feeling of excited anticipation. I am not disappointed. The door opens to reveal a room of tranquil luxury. Soft lighting gives a warm glow to the room where a Large King Sized bed takes pride of place, its layers of downy softness promising me a luxurious nights sleep. I am content...the Langham is home.
N. W.
Please do not get me wrong this hotel is old world charm. But it was not what ideas expecting for the reputation of cost to say here. I can say we will not be back for the cost was not worth the room or service.
It took over 15 mins to have our car accept by the valet and the queue the check in at 14:45 was around 6 in fount of us please the 10 behind by the time we checked in, at check in we were informed we were lucky to be getting a room early as check in is not till 15:00. The amount of other guess trying to check in early gives me the impression this is not odd on a Saturday night to be 'early' for check in.
We had no issues the rest of the stay the bath tub was very small but again an older hotel.
But as first impression count I am pushing to even given the hotel a 3 star review.
We will be back at The Westin next time we are dowe in Melbourne overnight.
B. A.
Loved our stay, fantastic service and great amenities. Highly recommend.
A. C.
Had my sisters birthday party last weekend at langham. We were very happy by the service and the help staff provide with a great smile.
Special thanks to parineeti who helped us organise the party and was best at her service.
Great work guys ,keep it up.

I had always wanted to spoil myself and stay at the Langham. When I finally got the chance I wasn't disappointed! Everything just felt that little bit special. The room was clean and the bed HUGE. The staff were exceptionally helpful and polite. I would have moved in permanently if I could have. Can't wait to come back one day
P. C.
What can I say no words can explain my experience at the Langham. I have stayed at the Langham on 3 separate occasions and each time it was amazing. We have also visited the Melba Restaurant numerous times. Langham holds a special place in my heart as they helped my husband organise all his crazy ideas for the night he proposed to me. The staff are amazing and always friendly and no request is ever to hard. Service and and the quality of the rooms is above all. 5 star + I rate this hotel in a class of its own!!!
D. W.
beautiful and elegant hotel, however some part is bit old fashioned /not high tech. No central light switch near the bed. Have to turn of light one by one is quite an inconvinience. They bit discriminative on the guests, not sure for what reason, some guest can order latte on breakfast buffet, while some was being told they only serve brewed coffee. View is ok. got a bit of yarra river in between building.
L. B.
Room was absolutely stunning and service to room was quick. Staff was lovely. Didn't have time to check out the rest of the hotel, but will definitely be back.
M. K.
We had our wedding at the Langham in the Alto room on the 25/2/17. Everyone was wowed how beautiful it was. The food was amazing. If i could it again it wouldnt be anywhere else but here.
Lauren the wedding coordinator was so much help and amazing to deal with
Thank you so much

I am currently staying in Room 1407, a grand classic room, for 4 nights. I am also attending a professional function at the hotel for the next 3 days. I am very happy with my room which is generously proportioned, we'll stocked and comfortable. So far the service has been exemplary.
K. J.
Went for the high tea and couples spa package, quite amazing. The high tea was delicious, you will not be hungry after this wonderful experience. The spa was super relaxing and calming with amazing facilities.
A. P.
I have been to the Langham 3 times twice for conference for work and stay 2 night it was absolutely wonderful... So the next time we came as a sisters night we stayed has massages and dinner at Melba just brilliant. We have also come and had family dinners and lunches at Melba. If you want quality and great service this is the place to be.
J. G.
Truly enjoyed our stay. Clean room, good location with courteous friendly staff. Special shout out to the team at the Club Lounge.
D. R.
One of my favourite places - I felt like absolute royalty the entire time from the second we pulled up to the return of our car through valet - I am 20 and disagree with the comments about the demographic and this hotel being dated it is just styled for class rather than modernly but to perfection. This wasnt my first stay and wont be my last !
A. W.
Gorgeous hotel, restaurant staff were very knowledgeable with regards to GF food. Even had a separate GF breakfast section and would source specific items if required.
V. M.
Amazing and beautiful hotel
M. W.
Very nice hotel
M. P.
Have been here a couple of times for a buffet dinner. Food is fantastic and there is a lot of variety. Great to watch the chefs prepare you food in front of you. Beautiful steps that lead up to the restaurant.
B. H.
Comfortable older style rooms with very comfortable beds and black out curtains. Service and quality of food and drink are great and it's definitely a "get what you pay for" experience here with prices for food and drinks at the high end of pricing.
B. H.
Enjoyed my stay tremendously! Hotel borders on the older side, but hotel receptionist was great! She was attentive to details (like remembering names) and even allowed for early check in (at 1100 as opposed to 1500). Hotel is also extremely conveniently located- just 5min walk from Flinder station and many food options.
Booked a basic room package that allowed me access to the executive club lounge on the 24th floor- hence the view in the attached photo. Went for high tea- selection was limited but still a decent place to rest on a lazy afternoon.
In the morning, I topped up $15 to swap from an executive breakfast (limited choices) to a full breakfast buffet. Food options were ok for the price.
Lastly, for those driving, please choose a package provided by Langham which includes valet parking. It made my stay all the more convenient! Would definitely use Langham again should I return to Melbourne in the near future.
N. R. S.
Stayed with a councillor conference group, the disabled room best have stayed in, loved the food and service ....the location and disabled access were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the dressing gowns and slippers
A. M.
Best dining experience in Melbourne

For my first trip to Melbourne I wanted luxury, and that's exactly what I got at the Langham.
A friend and I booked a Princess package and that's how we were treated. From the moment we walked into the Langham I felt relaxed. It is an absolutely stunning hotel. All of the staff were polite and friendly. Our room was beautiful and clean and the beds were bliss.
We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was delicious. And to top it all off, Chuan Spa, I have never stayed anywhere that has topped the Tri-Bathing ritual which is complimentary!
I left the Langham feeling relaxed and knowing that I would definitely be going back.

23May19 1526 Located on Melbourne's Yarra River the Langham is an established 24 storey landmark. A too-hatted concierge welcomed my wife and me with a smile and a helping hand to get our luggage out of the limousine at the street level lobby doors.
The great thing about the concierge is that he wasn't pushy .. he asked if we wanted him to help us with our luggage and when we said no then he very charmingly directed us into the lobby with cheese l clear directions to take the escalator up two storeys to the check-in desks.
Very comfortable beds and luxurious bathroom with unobtrusive room service and daily refreshments.
Two minutes walk outside at street level or through an internal doorway to the Southgate complex with restaurants and shops on the side of the Yarra.
Well worth staying here.
M. S. Z.
Near shops and restaurants on the buzzy Southbank Promenade along the Yarra River, this luxe hotel is 13 minutes' walk from Crown Casino and a 2-minute walk from Flinders Street train station.
Refined rooms with handmade furniture feature smart TVs, minibars and free Wi-Fi. Upgraded rooms have river or city views, and some include patios or balconies. Club-level rooms add access to a lounge with complimentary breakfast, Suites provide whirlpool baths; upgraded suites offer kitchens. Room service is available 24/7.
There's a posh buffet restaurant with river views, and a chic lounge bar, plus a sleek spa, an indoor pool and a gym.

Great hotel. Highly recommended Melba restaurant, my wife has celiac and the chef came out and helped her with any questions she had as well as prepared a seperate dessert plate to avoid cross contamination.
E. Y. W.
The hotel is very cute! Pink themed! Realize every girl’s baby doll dream! But it’s a bit old. Some of the facilities are not modern.
D. M.
Lovely, luscious and lusting for more is the best alliteration to describe the ludicrously lavish, Langham hotel.
Everything about it is perfect from the sweet spring scent in the air to the marble bathrooms and turndown service. I always loving coming back to this charming, traditional hotel 👍🏻
A.
This hotel is beautiful. Fantastic location, can walk or PT to everywhere, has everything you could want. Breakfast buffet is awesome. Excellent place to stay.
E. M.
Staff are great. The buffet is first class with a large selection of food. Very dated interior is where it lost a star. Highly recommend having high tea here.
T. D.
Softest bed and most beautiful layout I've ever seen in Melbourne
Staff have been unimaginably helpful
(Even asked one to help me with a tie and he did a spectacular job
I believe Glen was his name)
Well worth the price would highly recommendrecommend The Langham to anyone I will definitely be staying here again.

Right in the heart of the city. Excellent surroundings, close to Yarra River, South bank. Bars & Restaurants. Tastefully decorated. Clean, luxurious. Fantastic food. Extremely courteous staff. A bit pricey, but well worth it.

Recieved a massage voucher as a gift. Very impressed by the professionalism and courtesy of all the employees that I encountered. Had the impression that all of the staff were interested in making my time as relaxing as possible. Massage was very relaxing and the masseuse was able to adapt the theropy.

Hotel is situated in a great location for exploring Melbourne. The rooms are nice and well appointed, and the river view is very nice as well. The breakfast buffet is expansive with both standard breakfast fare and international options.

I was on vacation tour in Melbourne and I had done a stay at "The Langham, Melbourne". The experience was really awesome. The rooms were fabulous, food was also very delicious, their room service was also fantastic. I really want to made a visit again at "The Langham, Melbourne"

Lovely hotel. Beautiful lobby and staircase. Rooms are very outdated. Comfortable bed though :) we did not have a nice view unfortunately.

Very good hotel, wonderful position and offers easy access. I have stayed here previously and always look forward to a return visit. The service is excellent and the staff are wonderful. I can honestly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Melbourne.

Thought I would spoil myself . The staff have been very helpful on arrival. Very hospitable with reception being nice in reading the fine print. Police like I am with family. Views tremendously spectacular.

It's a beautiful hotel , just gorgeous and their own scent is right through out the hotel is so calming and settling ... just love every thing about it.

A great place which I can’t fault. It has a fantastic location in respect to Southbank as well as the CBD, and the views are fantastic. It’s just a shame that Melbourne itself is a city that I cannot stand.
M. C.
I have stayed in a few hotels and in my top 5 would be the beautiful, luxurious Langham !
Situated in the cosmopolitan playground that is Southbank, this hotel is not only a name mark but an experience.
Fantastic for that special anniversary stay, or if you have an event that is near here, relax in your 5 star suite with the staff that make you feel pampered from the time you arrive, with the luggage taken to your suite, and then relax in your suite with city views and have a drink in the Aria restaurant and bar I recommend the cocktails.
Also onsite is the gorgeous rooftop pool and spa and The Chuan Day Spa for facials, massages.
If you get a chance you must stay here is amazing.
Room Tip: Club Suites a Treat

Fabulous service and fabulous location. Just a tiny bridge across the river and you're in the city proper. Abounds in shops and eateries, close to trains and buses, popular with both tourists and locals alike. If you're new to Melbourne, this hotel is the place to be.
J. D. (.
Have you ever arrived at a hotel and know straight away that it is something really special, a place to make memories and maybe becomes a tradition? Well, the Langham Melbourne is all that and more.
The first thing you notice about the Langham Melbourne is the grand staircase and fountain and things only get better once you have arrived in your room.
I was fortunate enough to stay in a Club Grand River Room on the 22nd floor, offering stunning views of Southbank, the river and city. The room was well appointed with gorgeous toiletries, comfortable robes and slippers all adding to the sense of belonging, welcome and comfort.
The Club Lounge is a lovely place to relax and unwind offering a wonderful breakfast, afternoon tea and an excellent array of quality drinks and food. The staff are friendly and efficient.
We also had a wonderful meal at Melba, where I was very impressed to see a huge area designated to gluten free food. I have not come across this in any other restaurant. I was equally impressed by the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff in regards to allergy awareness. With food allergy becoming an increasing problem it is so important for staff to be knowledgeable in this area. Well done, Langham.
If you can drag yourself away from your room, you don't have far to go to experience fantastic shopping and entertainment, with the hotel being close to everything from cinemas, casinos and shopping.
When it is time to end your stay at the Langham, you can pick up a souvenir to treasure from the gift shop, The Flavours of Langham, containing many Langham themed items, such as a bottle fo the room spray so your own home can smell of the Langham. The Langham teddies were a real hit with my daughter.
Of course we were sad to leave, but knew that with so many great experiences our fantastic stay at the Langham was not one we would easily forget. For my daughter and I the Langham trip was a wonderful mother/daughter experience. My daughter is only 8 but I hope The Langham will become somewhere where when she is an adult we will meet yearly and it will become '" our place"" to meet. In the meantime it is somewhere I will try and take her every couple of years as a treat.
Can't wait to return to Melbourne and stay here again.
I. T.
One of the best places in Melbourne for high tea. The weekend is a bit more pricey but worth the treat. It comes with a glass of champagne or mocktail, a three tier stand of savoury bites/sandwiches/scones which were refillable, and the dessert bar with a chocolate fountain.
Service was friendly, even though they were very busy.
A. D.

We wouldn't hesitate in spoiling ourselves by staying at the Langham again for a special occasion. Our room was so comfortable and pretty, the buffet breakfast was without a doubt, the best we've had anywhere and the location was fantastic, so easy to get around Melbourne.

We stayed at the Langham late 2012. It wasn't just a stay - it was an experience. From our welcome at the door and our bags and car whisked off. Efficient and prompt check in. Our room was devine and I trully would love to have taken the bed home. Turn down service and bathrooms items were special. We ate in the restaurant and had breakfast each morning which were fabulous.
Honestly, why would you stay anywhere else?!

Peaceful and private with high comfort levels and a good poll, spa and sauna etc. Best during the week when it's a bit quieter. Wellness area starts to get busy on a Fridaty afternoon.

Much better than the Sydney Tower buffet. Has a good selection of freshly prepared food. The excessive quantities of boiled prawns and crabs seemed pointless and can lead to food wastage. Why not have a station to grille or fry prawns upon request? Could have more options for icecream as they had only vanilla and chocolate. Coffee/tea is included and they gave us a little boxed cup cakes for our occassion... a nice touch but at this price it seems reasonable. The waiting area is a bit disorganised but good once you're in. Service is very friendly.

the dinning experience was excellent. the staff were all kind and welcoming, the food selection and quality was outstanding, however, the price for the buffet is extremely expensive so it will be a long time before I go back there, if ever again.

had an amazing birthday experience here. Special attention and great service combined within a stunning atmosphere! Top Class

My partner and I have stayed in a Club Spa Suite at the Langham every February for 4 years. This February, we were lucky enough to spend our honeymoon there! There is no hotel like the Langham, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the service is second to none, and it oozes style. The only down side for us is that it makes every other hotel seem tacky.

Nice location best service

Very nice hotel

Beautiful from the moment you enter. Love all their little areas, whether it's their buffet or their morning tea. Their spa and massage area is also pretty amazing

Me and my partner had a buffet on Sunday. The best buffet experience in Melbourne. Fresh seafoods (oysters, prawns and sushi), good steak but, the dessert was the best ever!
J. N.
We stayed overnight in a club room at the Lagham. It was amazing. Everything you could think of was included and more. The staff were very professional and welcoming and went out of their way to make sure your stay was perfect. Would love to stay there again!
M. A.
Went for Christmas buffet and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Great variety of food and good quality. Service ok.
A bit too expensive for what you get tho, it would be perfect if some drinks were included for that price.

I'd go every night and every morning if money wasn't a problem. Food is plentiful and flavorful. Service is excellent

Very nice hotel

My stay at The Langham was delightful. The staff were courteous and thoughtful, the room clean and the bed so very soft. The breakfast provided is an absolute must when staying.

We have stayed at The Langham Melbourne a couple of times now. There are many impressive things about this Hotel. The first being the location....It's in a fabulous & exciting part of Melbourne with superb views of the Yarra river and walking distance to the fantastic entertainment area of the city. The second is the Luxury of the Hotel the rooms are well appointed with everything that you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay, the facilities are world class. The Melba Brasserie hosts one of the best buffet breakfasts that you will ever experience. The third and most important thing about Langham is they have without a doubt the BEST "BED" I have ever slept in...In fact we lifted the sheets of in the morning to take a look at who made that sensational mattress...This is a 5 STAR hotel that is deserving of it's ranking. You will love your stay at The Langham Melbourne...

The Langham Melboure is amazing with 5 stars and beyond. The staff are extremely helpful (big shout out to Josh in reservations ) I can't wait to come back again New Years Eve.

One of the great hotels in the world. Impeccable service and love the attention to details. You always feel that they’re taking good care of you. Highly recommend to anyone.

Good to see it open again...

Can it get better than this? Well, I don't reckon. Superb room, exquisite service, views over Melbourne to die for, and a bed that allows you to just drift away. Full marks Langham.

The staff are lovely and super helpful. Love the Melba buffet and the high tea offerings at Aria. The pool is gorgeous, I am yet to try out the spa!

A big thank you to the lovely young lady working last night after 9.30 pm (01/10/17) who went over and above to bring a slice of birthday cake to our room for my wife (because I forgot). I'm sorry I did not get your name to say thank you personally and it did put a big smile on my wifes face and got me out of jail.
Thank you very much

Stayed overnight for the Footy. Great location (right on Southbank). Welcome and reception great, room and beds comfortable, with good attention to detail. Didn't eat in the hotel, so can't comment there.

Over priced for what you get

This hotel is five star for a reason.
It a very high quality of service, food, and place.

Best hotel in city

We have been to the restaurant before and were looking for somewhere we knew would be welcoming to our newborn son on a busy Friday night in melbourne. The service was fantastic and we were seated in a section where we felt comfortable that we were not going to disturb anyone else's evening.

Very nice hotel

Nice staff good service

Very average. I sent feedback to them but got no response. Yes I understand covid issues and related staff issues, but acknowledge this and it might help.
K. S.
Beds were comfortable, rooms are quite dated and maintenance could be improved. Great location.
S. C.
Delicious food, attentive service, kids love trying all the cuisines.
Y. S.
This place and the people who work there are second to none.||Andrew, who met us from our car, made us feel so welcome and relaxed, as did Allen at the check in desk.||The quality of the food and drink is excellent but it is the people who work here that made it such a memorable stay for us.||Perfect for central Melbourne.

For anybody considering the perfect accommodation for a special occasion, The Langham Melbourne has everything you could ever wish for and more. I spent 4 nights staying at The Langham in their luxurious Club Spa Suite over my wedding in September 2012. The first day I spent making the most of the Chuan Spa facilities with my Bridesmaids and Mother, and we spent the evening toasting over the sparkling city below at The Langham Club. It was such a fantastic add-on and the food was exceptional. The Club Spa suite was so incredibly lavish, plenty of room to sprawl out and an excellent Powder room that became a Make-up and hair studio on the day of the wedding. Every detail of the room was perfect. From the wonderfully relaxing Spa Bath to the in-room entertainment (we watched a chick flick from the bed to calm the nerves the night before the big day!). We spent the day of the wedding floating on a cloud of relaxation and elegance with Ella Fitzgerald playing on the iPod dock, there was plenty of room for four girls and a wedding dress! The Langham staff were so accommodating, and the highest level of professionalism was shown at all times.
At the Langham, attention to detail is obviously paramount to their staff, and the general feeling is that it is every staff members wish to make your stay absolutely perfect. I cannot explain how much I felt like a princess as the Langham Pianist at the top of the staircase played the ‘Wedding March’ on the Grand Piano as I descended the stairs on my way to the Wedding Ceremony.
I could go on about all of the wonderful aspects of staying at the Langham, but it is in my opinion that they are best experienced for yourself. We decided the day after the wedding that it was only fitting to buy vouchers as thankyou gifts to the Bridal Party to stay at The Langham themselves. We have vowed to return to the Langham for our anniversaries, as in my honest opinion it is the best hotel to possibly be at to make any occasion a Dream Come True.

5 star all round …, for a super weekend !

High tea at the Langham was wonderful. Themed tea, foods, and even an extra birthday treat for my son! Most of the items are sweet, however, so make sure to eat real food before or after.
G. W.
Once again my wife and I were swept off our feet by the excellent personal service given to us on our three night stay at the Langham.
We took our 5 year old grandson to Melbourne for his birthday as a surprise flight and stay.
The Langham needs to lock their Club Manager, Mr Sumati Kamonmit into a binding employment contract. This gentleman oversees this area of the Langham with such a masterful and natural way, everyone is relaxed and happy at all times.
M. W.
Great view and deco, slightly dated in some aspect but overall very unique. Great experience, clean and well maintained. Friendly staff and great service. Highly recommended!!!

Best described as tidy and efficient. Staff were consistently attentive without being intrusive. Overall it seemed to be a well managed hotel. Happy to recommend the Langham.

I recently went to The Langham Melbourne for dinner at my favourite international buffet restaurant - Melba's. As soon as you enter the hotel you are welcomed with a beautiful fountian and gorgeous bouquets of fresh flowers followed by the marble staircase that leads you to the restaurant upstairs. The Langham Melbourne comes across as a hotel that pays attention to the finest details which makes you feel right at home as soon as you enter the lobby. Once you enter the restaurant you are welcomed to an amazing spread of every food you could imagine and soo much more. The foods are absolutely delicious. Melbas go that extra step further for a buffet by having chefs on hand ready to cook a custom made meal of your choice whenever your heart desires. Once you are seated by your waiter and before you even get up to go for your first plate of food, you just sit for a moment and take in all the sheer opulence and feel like it doesnt get any better than this. And then the fun begins... At the end of the night your only regret is that you wish could eat as much as you could when you were a teenager because the food is just that good!

Amazing service! Beautiful regal rooms with everything you need, friendly and courteous staff. Always a great experience staying at The Langham.

The Aria bar staff were so accommodating and friendly as we had our high tea. They went out of their way to make us welcome even with an infant.

Luxury at it's best, pamper, comfortable, secure and relaxed.. have many such words come in mind. Thinking of Langham..
Located at the city center of SouthGate.. great food options around like blue train ,to try authentic Australian food.. fliders Street station nearby.
Yarra river close by gives a good start for the day.
Weekend Hangouts like the Crown..
Would recommend this place to all first time visitors in the city.

We stayed as a family at The Langham. The children were catered for beautifully both by staff and utilising the facilites, as were we. 5 star is all about attention to detail or you may well be anywhere and The Langham does it in spades right down to the pens! We loved the Club dining area and my son quietly ate his weight in bacon. When I asked the kids what they liked about The Langham they said "everything". Location is the best too. Walk into the city, walk to the G, walk to a show. We will be back!

I am sending on behalf of Mr Poh Keh Boon.
I have enjoyed my stay at The Langham Melbourne from 17th October till 24th October 2018. I have received good service from various staff in particular Amanda, one of your porter. She is friendly, helpful, patient and attended to my needs well. Well done, you have a good team. I visit Melbourne every month and I look forward to staying at your hotel in future.
Best regards,
Poh Keh Boon

Very classy hotel. Stayed one night, really enjoyed it and the rooms are lovely. Very convenient to Southbank. It's a beautiful walk along the river.

The Langham is in downtown Melbourne. some rooms overlook the river. You are,in walking distance to many restaurants and shopping areas. The rooms of the hotel are very nice. They have all of the amenities of a high-quality hotel.
E. B.
The customer service was good, however the rooms are so outdated there are so many nicer hotel offerings out there for the price you pay to stay there.
D. H. (.
Beautiful hotel right on the river and across the Street from the main train station. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.
A. T.
The stay was superb - couldn't fault it! Staff were very friendly and the room was clean. Definitely going again!

Great day at the spa, I left looking and feeling refreshed

Great rooms and closed to everything. Friendly, professional staff. Our visitors loved their stay here.

The Langham is now one of my regular hotels when I'm in Melbourne.
Being on the non-CBD side of Southbank, it's a little bit further from the office. However, there are many crossings, the walk to the CBD is short and pleasant, and you get to enjoy the Southbank and the nearby Queen Victoria Gardens.
The staff are friendly and the rooms are nicely appointed, with that luxurious older style charm.
The gym is well equipped and the pool deck is great for a bit of R&R, with many sun beds to lay on.

We stayed at the Langham over the Anzac Day weekend, we found the staff to be fantastic, they made us feel welcome and very special it was a real pleasure, the rooms were nice. My only adverse comment would be I was not comfortable in the beds.
