J. T.Outstanding service and the food was faultless. We sat outside and shortly after we sat down one of the staff bought a bowl of water for our dog, which we had brought with us. Staff were very friendly. Food was exquisite and well priced. Definitely recommend this to travellers looking for a quality lunch or dinner experience.
A. U.Meals were amazing. My husband had beef tartare for entree and the lamb for mains. Both were delicious and very flavoursome. I had chicken for main and that was also delicious. Very supple and the sauce was wow. Also had the apple souffle for dessert. Wow wow wow. So light and fluffy. Couldn't fault anything with the meals at all. They have definitely redeemed themselves from the first time we went.

Tinamba Hotel was flexing its muscles when my partner and I came over for lunch on a Saturday. With impeccable service to boot, some standouts on the meal included a perfect duck dish that had all the makings of a classic that cannot be removed from the menu. To a refreshing take on a classic crème brulee that boasted the use of aged beef fat alongside a perfect splash of whisky.
We devoured both of the courses above and four more, each with its highlights.
If anyone is looking for Gippsland's best when it comes to approachable fine dining, Tinamba Hotel is a place not to be missed.

Excellent value.What a pleasure it was to drive under a starry sky to be greeted by a very welcoming host. It felt as if we were invited to a friends home for dinner. Leather lounges, marble topped coffee tables, antique sideboards created a luxurious experience. We were even seated in our own alcove . We sampled excellent local wines and recommend the mulled wine for a winter’s night. Such a pleasure to have a fabulous dining experience without the city constraints of set dining times and cramped noisy tables. Best wishes to the new owners, you deserve to succeed.

There's no photo of the meal, as it looked and smelled so good, I was halfway through before I realised I hadn't taken a photo. I had a porterhouse steak with mash and veg. The steak was sensational, as good or better than the Black Cow. The staff were fantastic in catering for my food intolerances.
The Tinamba Hotel is metres away from the Gippsland Plains Rail Trail and would make a great lunch spot. Or dinner spot if doing a multi day ride and staying locally.

T. C.Tinamba Hotel has been an occassional favourite for many years. An hour drive to dine. One of my three top choices for fine dining in Gippsland. Unfortunately the last meals were disappointing. 15th May. The menu was uninspiring and the meals lacked in that one was small, very salty and unimaginative and the other was very bland and boring. The desert was takeaway quality.
Won't condemn for one less than normal standard. We did decide we would not go back but that would be unfair. Will try again and hope they return to their past exceptionally high standard.

R. V.My husband and I held our wedding reception here in January 2021. Simon had recently purchased the business and had redecorated the inside to look modern and classy. We had to plan our wedding from interstate during covid and it was delayed due to restrictions. Simon is an excellent communicator, where he was able to answer all my questions and was very reassuring that our night would go smoothly. Simon, Claire and the team were very lovely to meet and took care of everything. And of course the food was excellent thanks to chef Imogen. The team organised an amazing six course degustation menu for our group. Simon even organised a speaker set up so we could play music from our smart phone. We appreciated the smaller touches including two signature mocktails in our honour. Thank you for the lovely memories.

We didn't receive our mains until 3pm!
The service was extremely slow and they kept running out of food!
We specifically advised of a birthday when making the booking, person who took the booking said they would make it special and sing happy birthday.
No singing, even a candle on her dessert would have been appreciated. Perhaps it was too much effort.
A bottle of sauv blanc was provided which we gave to the birthday girl - little too late im afraid.
For $$$$ spent, it was disappointing.

J. D.I had travelled a long way with 2 cats and I arrived in Tinamba around 6pm. I went to the hotel (that is absolutely beautiful and like a dining haven in the middle of the country) and found that their electricity was out. They had lit candles and apologised. The menu was to die for but I just couldn't wait as I was so tired so I went for the salad (that was amazing). They were so generous and thoughtful. This place is amazing and you will not be disappointed.

B. B.If having a phenomenal bite too eat is your thing, than look no further. I ordered the Wagyu Ox Cheek and was blown away by the taste and detail in its presentation. Needless to say their desert, was just as impressive, leaving a taste in your mouth, begging for more. The general atmosphere and pleasantness of the staff, added to the evenings experience. In summary should you be traveling in the area like I was or if you just a lucky local living in the area, this is an eating extravaganza not to be missed and will definitely be repeated by myself, should I ever be traveling in this part of the world again. 👍👌 (absolutely fantastic!!!) 👍👌

Having travelled globally I'm delighted to say this is one of the most memorable stays away.

It was so expensive and the meals were small. Mine was beautiful but others didn't enjoy theirs. Service was nothing to rave about, in fact they could've been friendly at least a little bit.
