Booked a two bedroom suite for two nights as we had our wedding reception next door (The Bank On Collins). The suite was spacious, with lovely views, and above all, it was exceptionally clean! There were fresh robes, new slippers, and well packed mini-bar. The staff were readily available to whatever we needed, from plant-based milk at buffet breakfast to extra set of hands with luggage. Exceptional service.
H. C.We recently stayed 4 nights at this hotel and I must say it was amazing. They kindly upgraded us and the service they provided was 5 stars. Snacks and drinks are accesible and free. The hotel is in the heart of the CBD, being close to Southern Cross Station and a lot of the venues such as the Museum, Docklands, Bourke St shopping, beach and many more. I will never stay anywhere else when I travel to Melbourne. Rooms were also ready several hours before check in which was perfect especially when traveling with a toddler.

A.This is an exquisite place to stay, almost perfect in every way, except a few personal things that didn't really meet our comfort, (but that's really our own personal thoughts). The single beds were too narrow and small for an adult. The mattress and pillows way too soft. We stayed 5 nights, thought our room would be serviced after the 3rd night, but it wasn't, didn't realise we had to ask. But all in all, this is a beautiful, clean, modern place and at a very convenient location. Would definitely recommend. 👍👍

The central court of the building was impressive, but it housed an independent; very noisy bar, which wasn’t pleasant to walk by and at night you the door to the hotel was locked. Otherwise I would have given it five stars.The location was great, right on the tram from one of the train stations.

The mezzanine breakfast, guest lounge and wine down service were such great perks. We definitely enjoyed them and with such tasty food and drinks.

The staff remembered my name, such a wonderful personal touch. The breakfast every day, I stayed 5, was terrific, the best scrambled eggs with chives, and a good selection of accompanying treats, bacon, tomatoes, chipalates +++ a complete offering. Exceptional coffee and T2 teas. Drinks at 4:00pm to 6:00pm was a great surprise, a happy hour on the house! Wonderful room, excellent bathroom with brand name toiletries. Bed was as comfortable as home and the pillows were of a very good quality. I couldn’t fault my stay and was made to feel very special. I will be staying here in the future. Faultless.

覃.A heritage hotel, the lobby bar is magnificent, the mezzanine floor is also wonderfully historic and cozy. Been upgraded to balcony suite, room is thoroughly modern, quite a contrast to the lobby and the hotel facades, soundproof could be better in one’s opinion. Now, the balcony, it’s quite large and you have have a rooftop view of the Collins Street, one of the main streets in Melbourne. Breakfast is nice.

The hotel was in a great location for lunch close by but after a big day of travelling the online inroom dining by The Bank had the perfect variety and quality to satisfy even the trickiest of travellers, a toddler.

Very nice to have NETFLIX set up on the TV. The room was just missing herbal teas. Room servicing is every few days only, rather than daily.

B. N.We picked Treasury on Collins for our 4-night stay in Melbourne based on the great reviews, and we were not disappointed. When walking in, you get a glimpse of the historic building in The Bank on Collins -- the restaurant located on the building's first floor. You also get a sneak peak of the 2nd floor lounge area reserved for hotel guests, which was one of our favorite perks. Every day, some tasty snacks and free alcohol were available, providing the perfect happy hour before we headed out for dinner. There were also free pastries, waters, and other packaged snacks available on the same floor, which we much preferred over the typical (and expensive) minibars offered at most hotels.
The room was spacious, clean, and modern. Since there's no minibar, the fridge was completely open for our own drinks and snacks, which was a refreshing change. There were other quirky additions to the room, such as a two-up paddle (an Australian gambling game), and a Rubik's cube (for which you're offered a free bottle of wine if you solve it!).
The location was also excellent, with many great restaurants and shops nearby. We particularly enjoyed walking to the huge Royal Botanic Gardens, which was a nice change-of-pace from the rest of our Melbourne visit.
Overall, if we ever have a chance return to Melbourne, we'll strongly consider staying at Treasury on Collins again.

From the time of booking (and to a few additional rooms booked along the way), to special birthday requests and lastly for allowing our group of 12 to be seated together yesterday for breakfast, all of the staff that we came into contact with either from reception, or the breakfast staff went above and beyond to help with our requests. This in turn made my friend’s 50th birthday celebrations even more special.
For these reasons and more I thank all of the staff! I would not hesitate to stay at Treasury On Collins in the future, and will definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone. J. M.Fantastic value, very nice rooms and very well appointed. You can tell that the hotel strives to think of every little detail, and actively works on improving the experience of its guests. It offers great little perks when you book directly with the hotel, such as free buffet breakfast (which I'd describe as pretty good, but not extensive), a free "Wine down" service where they serve wines and little nibbles from 4-6 pm, and access to their "treasured guest lounge" which serves drinks, such as bottled water, juices etc, snacks such as pastries, fruit, biscuits and lollies, as well as a great coffee machine which can make everything from a chai latte, matcha latte, to a long black. There's also yoghurts in the fridge. The rooms themselves: they have a pillow menu (hooray!) And their beds are tremendously comfortable. They have Netflix, YouTube, ABC iView and SBS on demand built into their TVs, and internet speed on the free wifi was around 45 megabits down and 80+ megabits up, and you can connect Multiple devices to it. It's ideally located on the corner of Collins and queen st, and was in a great location for us to attend a concert in Melbourne at the Forum as well as a short walk to the Block Arcade for great coffee and food. The hotel staff are extremely courteous and helpful, and Early check in at 3pm with a fantastic free late check out (again, for direct bookings) at 12pm makes this one of the best options in Melbourne (in my opinion). Will definitely be back!

No minibar in the fridge, free Netflix for movies, free breakfast, free unlimited wifi, checkout at 11, free glass of wine every day, free drinks and snacks throughout the day. They took all the things I want at other hotels but never pay for and made them free.

J. H.I stayed here for a wonderful four nights over the duration of the Melbourne cup (I didn't realise it was a public holiday, and was not upset when I had to book for another night.) I was not disappointed with the lavish yet elegant decor. Nor the cleaniless of the rooms and the hotel in general. The rooms we stayed in had a more than modest tv and Netflix and Foxtel to enjoy on those dreary Melbourne days.
All of the staff were helpful and willing to go above and beyond to help us with any questions we had. There is a mezzanine floor for guests of the hotel where a self serve buffet with tea, coffee and light snacks and refreshments are provided free of charge.
Whilst not the closest place to the hustle and bustle of Melbourne's well known restaurants and alleyways. The in house restaurant was a delight to dine in and the bar served up an array of impressive cocktails with showmanship to tote, whilst not forgetting to keep the classics just that.
I would highly recommend the Treasury on Collins for anyone wanting to find exceptional service, or a romantic getaway in the heart of a vibrant cultural city. It is all but a short walk to the nearest tram and such essentially anywhere you might care to wander.

The value for money deal includes free wifi, buffet breakfast, and where possible, an early check in: we got this because of availability. The 'wine down' is great, featuring good beer selection and Victorian wine, on this occasion, Chateau Tahbilk. Highly recommended

A.This place is amazing and beautiful - it's been converted from a very old bank, so the ceilings are high and there is plenty of lighting, it has a bit of "olde world charm" but with all the modern conveniences. The staff are so nice and treat you really well. I had a 1 bedroom suite which had plenty of space even in the bedroom and the ensuite was enormous!! I enjoyed their free buffet breakfasts of simple delights (I have never seen a pancake making machine before!!) - don't expect any bacon or eggs, there are plenty of cafes around to buy these. And in Melbourne you can travel on the trams for free within the CBD, and the hotel is very close to a tram stop. I found this very handy to get to Bourke Street Mall and Crowne Casino. And their complimentary toiletries are by Moulton Brown - very nice!! This is a fabulous place to go to when you are in Melbourne!! Thanks to all the wonderful staff who were very helpful and always pleasant and professional. I would definitely come back next time I am in Melbourne!!
C. G.Heritage King Suite, first floor with easy access. Spacious room with lounge area, kitchen and ensuite bathroom. Clean, with an accommodating room service policy. Convenient tools such as a Nespresso machine, washing machine, oven, full-sized refrigerator and complimentary Netflix. Good for extended stays, a bit like a studio apartment. I had a couple of creaky floorboards, which may bother roommates. Being close to the street means rowdy passers-by are audible. I would stay again.

Restaurants in Hardware lane close by. Good cafe/bar/restaurant downstairs. Treasury is well worth a stay.
