p. g.Look it’s a great spot to have a beer and watch the sunset but can someone please give the bar staff some training…….? They have no idea how to run a bar, the service is so random the patrons look at each other with bemused smiles wondering which random person will be served next then they go into a private conversation and serve someone else randomly haha can’t wait till the borders open and we get some backpackers who know what they’re doing 😃
A. C.Rooms are a wee small but large balcony makes the difference. Old hotel with some art deco style and they have done just enough to keep the rooms acceptable for the price.

g.First time back in five years and it was worth the wait. The BEST Fish & Chips I've had in a pub in twenty years. And I told the Bar Manager so!
Good quality Fish, two nicely sized pieces. Cooked just right. Enough French Fries, hot and properly cooked. The salad is described in the Menu as "mixed leaves". Otherwise known as a pile of gourmet lettuce. But it was lightly oiled, fresh and tasty. I'll admit, I'd have loved a sliced Tomato and some Red Onion. But that's just me.
Can't wait till my next visit.
L. M.This place is great summer or winter. Grab a beer and watch the sun go down. If it's cold, you can stay indoors on the comfy couches by the fire or head outside and wrap yourself in one of the complimentary blankets. If it's hot, they open all the windows and let the Freo doctor do it's job.
S.The sunset is amazing there. They just need to change the menu, it's been a while the same. But the atmosphere and the service is amazing.

P. H.Nice enough but it's amateur hour all day every day here and ESPECIALLY on weekends so expect to wait ages to get a drink or order food. Not really the staffs fault. Management need to hire a LOT more trained staff. That said food and drinks are good.

But not your place if you want to sit and talk and soak up the Seabreeze during peak hours, as its extremely loud with hard surfaces and Larger than life people talking loudly mean it's a bit overwhelming

D. C.Lovely beach with grass areas. Safe swimming berween flags. Lots of cafes nearby but avoid the over hyped and overpriced Il Lido. You would have to sit like cattle close together on benches and eat poor quality food at high prices.
P. S.The hotel is in a great location and the staff are excellent.
This historic building has well appointed but very small rooms. The main reason for only three stars was the noise. This is not so bad in some rooms, but in our particular room the noise from doors opening and closing below us was sleep disturbing! It can get noisy from the music and patrons too, but that is mainly weekends and is mostly quite by 10/11pm
The staff were great and did everything they could even helping us transferring to another hotel as the place for the remainder of our stay as they booked out and we could not move rooms.
There are stairs and no lift , but again the staff are amazingly helpful and will help you!!!

The best room is the corner with it's round balcony. There is also a fun public bar downstairs if you're looking for some company.

Z. Z.We ordered a pizza but received something a bit different because they made a mistake on the menu. The supervisor and staff were very gracious about it and looked after us and made us feel valued. Very good customer service, will definitely be coming back. Nice atmosphere too

T. C.On a family vacation we had dinner at the lovely little restaurant - Cott.Co fish bar. Being a person with an extremely severe shellfish allergy at a fish bar, they took great care to make sure to take care regarding my dietary needs. The waiter was absolutely incredible and very careful and the service was honestly fantastic. I had the quail and it was spectacularly cooked. My boyfriend had the steak and it was by far one of the best steaks I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. I look forward to coming back here again the next time I’m in Perth and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in a heart beat.

Staff are so extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. Also went for food here and got the Cott burger which is unbelievably delicious and so are the fries. Only small downfall was they were really busy so took a while to get checked in and it was only because we were flying all day and the taxi dropped us off 500m away by accident so we were tired with all the bags but of course apologies were given so not a big deal. Would recommend. Lovely area.

M. V.Today I had the pleasure of bringing some of my friends from the UK to an amazing beach in Cottesloe. After a bit of tanning we thought we would head on over to the Cottesloe Hotel Verandah Bar to grab a drink and something to eat whilst we enjoy the beauty of the ocean views that the venue has to offer.
We ordered the fish and chips, the burger and a pizza.
The burger and fish and chips came out within 10 mins and the manager had said ‘the pizza is on its way’. My friend and I politely waited a moment before the other gestures for us to eat. So we promptly ate as we were STARVING!!! We had finished the burger and the fish and chips in about 15 minutes. They were delicious!!!
At this point we were still waiting for the pizza. We had asked the bar staff if he knew where our pizza was and he checked the register and noted that it was definitely ordered and should be on the way.
The manager walked past and we gestured him over. We had mentioned that there was another group who came in after us and had received their pizza while we were still waiting. The manager had told us to check the fine print in the menu which stated that the pizza may come out later than the rest of the food once they are ready. We again said that there was another group who came in AFTER us and ordered pizza and got theirs before us. The manager then said ‘they are a different order on a different table’. He seemed to be getting irritated that we had even mentioned that we were still waiting on a pizza. (Remember we had already finished 2 of our meals, so one friend was still waiting). The manager said he would go out back and check where it was. So he left the table in a huff and he was not to be seen again.
A lovely couple who were sitting next to us were listening and echoed our thoughts about how rude the staff person was speaking to us.
15 minutes later the pizza finally arrived. 45 minutes after it was originally ordered.
V. I.Had pizza which was quite nice but drinks (wine) are expensive.
R.Came here for a few drinks on a Sunday afternoon, the staff are really friendly, offering me different beers to try based on what I'd had earlier. The location can't be beaten, with a great view of the ocean and plenty of afternoon sun on the front verandah.
T. H.Good selection of meals and drinks at a decent price. Ample seating with large open plan seating areas and more intimate, cozy areas as well. A good template for what a beach front bar/restaurant should be.

N. W.For a modern and vibrant place to drink and eat in Cottesloe it has to be here, with excellent food and we'll priced drinks it's always a treat to head down. The waiting staff are always prompt and happy to help. Being right next to the beach it is also an excellent spot to watch the sun set after a busy day in the glorious west Australian sun. Things to work on might be the bathrooms as it's a bit disconcerting when you can easily have your whole head over the stall door! Overall a great experience, if your not on the beach you should be here!

B.Our experience at Cottesloe Beach Hotel was fantastic. The room and view from the balcony was beautiful. The staff were warm and welcoming. The bars attatched to the hotel provided some amazing meals with great atmosphere. I'll be back.

S. C.Room 14 on arrival was extremely disspointing. View only of tin roof and five air conditioning units humming away. Felt like prison room. Had no choice but to complain. Stayed one night and Mgr was great and moved my things to room 4 which is much better with a great balcony. Beautysittung out there in afternoon. Rooms are acceptable and bathrooms are brand new and clean. Pillows hmm not great, beds are very firm if you like them so. Service in Hotel was OK not brilliant. No room service or breakfast offered. Parking can be very awkward as I found out arriving on Cup Day. Have to find a street park around corner so short walk to entrance. OK for now as weather great but would not be thrilled if rainy and cold and carting suitcases and things. No lift and plenty of stairs. Unlucky for me I pulled my hamstring running in morning and stairs were a challenge thereafter. The location and access to beach was great and pricing acceptable for what you get. Would think long and hard about staying again and probably only in great weather and not peak season.

The entree had a nice ratio of sweet to savory.We had a muesli with berries, savory scones and a chicken tart.Loved it
Main was a ham and egg toast with cheese.The food lacked flavour but tasted nice when you had the warm egg.Sadly the cheese was very cold and ruined the taste of the mean.
Dessert was a shared meal it was raspberry and frozen yogurt slice with a chocolate, hazelnut torte and a cinnamon churros.The churros tasted delicious.The chocolate torte was dark but delicious and the raspberry slice was light and good to clear you mouth after the meal.

The beach is close by - chalet is not directly opposite the beach which is good - cooler in the afternoon and evening. Unit was comfortable, receptionist was friendly. Supermarket is not far away, fish and chips shop is nearby. Will return here next time I visit Perth

S.Cottesloe Beach Hotel had been evolving since the area started on the main beach road with breath taking views across the ocean and their vibrant “The Beach Club” restaurant for an anniversary lunch. Cool breeze and the smell of the sea against some truly fantastic decor/design. The restaurant/bar had spaces undercover and outside, making the most of our climate all year round. Inspired by the decor, here is a round-up of black and white, metal and yellowy goodness

R. R.Stopped in for a drink and some lunch appetizers, it was a cold and windy day outside but pleasant inside. Lots of drink options, and the appetizers we had were pretty good, although they did run out of oysters.

A. M.The Cott hotel is legendary in Perth, if you ever need to give directions from somewhere, just ask them do they know where the Cott is! Broken up in to a few areas each with their own feel, you can dine, drink or both in this huge establishment.
We sat out the back in the garden and between a large group of us ordered food and drinks and we're not dissapointed in the slightest. It all came quickly and the quality was superb. Naturally based on the location it's all a little pricey but the service more than makes up for it.
If you want to entertain or take some friends somewhere nice, this is the place!

This place needs some real TLC, even the beach facing planter boxes were full of weeds and cigarette butts. Very dated chalets, with child-unfriendly spiral staircases, bunks and inconsiderate late-night neighbours. Cheap enough though given the beachfront position.

M. S.WEDDING REVIEW
We had our wedding at the Cottesloe Beach Hotel, and unfortunately there were quite a few things that went wrong on the day through fault of the venue. They have since acknowledged the mistakes/ miscommunication and only said that it won't happen again, but are yet to make any kind gesture towards us to apologize for our experience.
- I would not recommend getting ready at the venue, we stayed in one of their hotel rooms the night before and they forgot to organised for the room to be cleaned after we left for the ceremony, so we were interrupted 3 times by the cleaner (and a manager) while getting our hair and make up done - it was very rude of them!
- They also don't do room service or have a phone in the room, so you have to order and pick up food downstairs, which we didn't realise until the wedding day, otherwise we would have organised something in advance.
- I would recommend making sure everyone has enough time to set up the room, there was another function in the sunsets room until 3pm and our reception started at 5pm. My wedding decorator said she asked the venue to move the bridal table by half a meter so she could extend the backdrop, but was told they didn't have time to move it! So they didn't allow any contingency time for set up.
- Make sure tea and coffee is included in your dinner package! Sounds silly I know, but they removed that from our package without telling us when we asked to have the dessert taken out. Their brochure says ‘all sit down packaged will include..tea and coffee’ and no one ever communicated anything to us about removing it. As a last minute decision on the night the venue did serve our guests tea and coffee...in take away containers.
- I recommend pre-ordering drinks for the bridal table if your package is ‘on consumption’, it took a good 20 minutes after sitting down at the bridal table for a glass of bubbly to arrive.
- I recommend tasting and seeing the food before the wedding, we asked if the chef at the Cott and Co. could prepare the main dish before the wedding so we could sample, and they said no. I would recommend insisting on this, just so you're not disappointed on the day.
- Triple check that they are billing YOU for the bar tab. At the end of the night they chased our final guests down the stairs and asked "who was paying the final bar tab", we left the room 30 seconds earlier with our final guests, and they had our credit card details on file, and we were staying at the venue!! It was really embarrassing when we learned that my bridesmaid paid the final bar tab, she also saw all the other mistakes that were made on the day :-(
Aside from these problems, we did get to have a pretty special wedding day and reception at the hotel.The waiter staff were friendly, location was awesome and sunset was amazing. They were helpful with moving the wedding cake around when our MC asked, so we could have better cutting the cake photos. They did ask me during the night how everything was going.
Overall I have rated the venue as 3/5 stars.
K. J.CBH is a well positioned hotel for the beach with sea views and brilliant sunsets. There are lots of bars cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself has a bar, cafe and restaurant with Free wifi. In peak season there will be alot ofmay be noise from the bar below, especially on a Sunday. The hotel does not have a lift and although the stairs are not steep. The place is known by the locals for its Sunday sessions. Service in this respect is pretty good and it has a great atmosphere.

H. M.Cottesloe beach is a great place to go on a sunny sunday morning. The water is very clear and blue, and is usually unpolluted. There is a great surf club there and taught me how to swim and was a great thing to do on a sunday morning. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. As an added bonus, there are many cafe and restaurants in the area.
