+ The bed is very comfortable and doesn't squeak. + Shower is really hot. + Wifi is very fast! + Close to supermarket, but 10min walk to the closest train station. + I'll also give credit to the staff to keep the common area clean and being strict on a few reasonable rules like no alcohol in the room, no smoking, no beer pong, tagging one's own food, cleaning dishes after using, etc. It's a big hostel so these rules make it less chaotic. - I think the hostel is lacking common space. There is one kitchen, one small dinning room, one TV room. In the evening, the dinning room is always full with people eating and chatting loudly; the TV room is playing Netflix, dorm room is small and crowded; so there is no place where one can sit down read a book or just "chill". Not everyone wants to talk to someone all the time. So everyday I went to the supermarket nearby where there is a dinning area with free wifi, I actually feel a lot more comfortable there. - The common toilet / shower rooms look really shabby. The toilet stalls are so small that it's almost acrobatic to close the door behind you. Also, the toilets are cleaned so hard that they have a sterile swimming pool smell.

Very central hostel with nice, even though a bit small bedrooms. Reception staff was friendly and general cleanliness was good. Big negatives were the extremely small kitchen and eating areas. Especially during breakfast, lunch and dinner you couldn't even walk in the kitchen and just about 20 seats for such a big hostel are way too few. Also it was a bit loud during the night because people were partying in the hallways.

Decent location. Beds super comfy. Bathrooms seriously need an update. Staff are constantly cleaning it's only untidy or dirty because of the disrespect of some people staying there. Kitchen and bathrooms too small for amount of people staying. Good balance between social and quiet.

Ady’s Place was a very unique experience. My sister and I stayed there for two nights, we are both from Brisbane and came to Sydney for the first time. Ady’s Place was super welcoming, we arrived couple hours before the actual check in time, yet the receptionist let us store our luggage’s in the storage room till we come back from the city, which infact wasn’t far at all, such a great location, when we came back later that night the receptionist told us that we got an update and we were getting a room just for us two, we were meant to stay in a room with 6 more ppl, we were super happy to have a private room with shower! Besides that the breakfast was outstanding, 3 types of bread, 3 types of milk, several different flavours of spreads and also WetBix and cereal. Super clean as well, common areas always being vacuuming, moped and the clean smell (bleach and disinfectant 😍) in every bit of the hostel, just perfect! What a great way to start our little trip to Sydney 🤩 We’ll certainly come back and stay at Ady’s place again!!! Thank you thank you ☺️ 👏🇦🇺

Great location, very good quality for price and clean. Stayed there for 2,5 months so I think is a good deal. On the downside the common areas are very small, toilet and kitchen. The hot showers doesn't work very well when everyone is coming back from work. Beds are comfortable and the vibe there is nice too.

Sydney’s best hostel for the price! Paid like $25 in a 4bed dorm with shower. Clean, breakfast and internet included, staff friendly, nights out with the hostel! Rooms are huge!!! Such a great deal!

Stayed here for 3 nights while passing through Sydney after it was recommended by a friend. I’m so glad I did, great atmosphere, fresh new rooms, and great WiFi. The hostel is kept clean and the staff can’t do enough for you. The roof top bbq area is a bonus! Will be sure to stay again.

Very nice and cheap place to stay with Breakfast and a Lovely rooftop that is unfortunately closing at 10pm already. Clean Rooms with enough Space, where someone is vacuming everyday. One Star is missing because there are just 2 showers per Gender on each floor and when you want to get ready you Need to wait a bit longer on somedays. But we would always come back and really enjoyed our Stay!!

Adys Place Backpackers is Great. The wifi is very quick and breakfast was included. The staff is super friendly especially the managers and events are organised every day! I stayed for Australia Day and we went on a boat party. Can recommenced the hostel!

Conflicted on this place. 4 stars for service and sleeping accommodations. Bathroom needs work, though. The bath has either a small curtain hanging by three hooks or a door before the bath with no curtain meaning water gets everywhere. Also, there is no heater or air conditioner, just a fan or an open window. Much better location than Potts point hostels for sure.

Its okay. Hosts are friendly and kitchen is clean. But we only had cold water in our shower and the toilets are ways to small. The location is good: close to the Citycenter and there is a supermarkt a few meters away.

The location is great close to shops and transport. The receptionist were amazing, they helped me with anything and everything I needed. Rooms were cleaned everyday and the main public rooms twice a day. Clean and great people, would definitely recommend to any and all backpackers.

Adys Place Backpackers has been an absolutely incredible experience! The staff, especially Anna and Sophie at the front desk are a brilliant team! Super friendly staff members, very clean hostel and events are organised. The wifi is working in the whole hostel and included in the price!

Overall, good place to stay. Nice receptionist, functional kitchen, around 5-10 mins walk to train station. I booked 8-bed dormitory room yet they upgrade me to 4-bed dormitory with in-room shared bathroom. However, be careful when you book online. They have 3 choices in the room list: female-dorm, mixed-dorm, dorm (not stated if its mixed or all female). For people who need "all female dorm" you have to stricly choose female-dorm because the 2nd and 3rd are actually mixed dorm

Great hostel for a visit in Australia's most famous city! About 10-15min walk to city centre, 10-15min uber drive to Bondi Beach (around $10). Small rooms but every backpacker gets it's own locker which is perfect. You should really visit the gorgeous rooftop to chill out or drink a little

Really good staff !! The place is clean, organised, you have dinning room, kitchen, TV room and an amazing roof top ! Every morning you have free breakfast and 2 times per weeks you can have enjoy a free dinner with everyone :)

If I could discuss something with the host, maybe it was too much space, my room was 6 (I thank the host as I changed to one with less people since originally had to go to one of 10) the room was aprobichada maximum, so much that the suitcases if they are big because they do not fit and of course life is conpicado, apart you have a bath but only a shower ... to go to the bathroom to go to the common toilets that good pos to the morning of a Sunday or that call night on a Saturday night ... why not say that very clean because people drink and well ... apart from the shower bath is a little deteriorated, but I am demanding nor because the price is great ($ 21 / night), I stayed 3 nights and really very comfortable in general. 100% recommended if you are looking for something cheap and central. (Original) La verdad disfrute mucho en Adys, un hostal muy centeico con buen ambiente, tienes desayuno incluido, esta muy limpio y las zonas comues estan siempre a disposición de todos y para todo, aparte tienes Netflix! Cuando llegas cansado de andar por la gran ciudad de Sydney nada mejor que ver un documental de animales mientras hablas con la gente. Si pudiera discutirle algo al hostla, es quizas que aprobecha demasiado el espació, mi habitación era de 6 (que agradezco al hostla ya que me cambio a una con menos gente ya que originalmente tenia que ir a una de 10) la habitación estava aprobichada al maximo, tanto que las maletas si son grandes pues no caben y claro la vida es conpicado, aparte tienes baño pero solo ducha... para ir al baño deves ir a los baños comunes que bueno pos a la mañana de un domingo o esa llamada nocturna de un sabado noche... pos no estan eso que digamos muy limpios porque la gente bebe y bueno... aparte el baño de la ducha esta un poco deteriorado, pero ko soy exigente tampoco ya que el precio es genial (21$/noche), estuve 3 noches y la verdad muy comodo por lo general. Recomendable al 100% si buscas algo barato y centrico.
