T. A.Highly recommend this hostel due to its friendly/professional staff and clean rooms and bathrooms. The lobby and kitchen was also clean and an enjoyable environment. The beds were pretty comfy. I’d like to personally thank Rafael, Emily and Dennis for the hospitality and helpfulness. They were eager to help at all times and were always courteous.
H. E.I stayed in a private double room. The view from the room was beautiful and the room itself was sufficient for only $90/night. The bathrooms were pretty bad though. Definitely recommend wearing sandles. The kitchen was also in rough shape but overall I recommend staying here because the price is right and the location is beautiful.
l. e.Definitely the best hostel I stayed in, in Sydney. Couldn't fault the staff at all, very helpful and lovely as most stayed there too! They encourage you to join in and make friends. Such a brilliant hostel for solo travellers. The rooms were very clean and there was plenty of place to put luggage, lockers are a little small and you have to supply your own lock. The destination was great, the roof top terrace allowed you to look over Tamarama Beach and also Bondi Beach. It was only a 5-10 minute walk to all amenities. Also had a very good laundry service opposite to wash, dry and iron your clothes for cheap!
e. m.Not too bad but not up to standards. Many massive cockroaches inside the room, we actually slept with the lights on cause they come out when dark. They should do a proper disinfestation. Just one toilet and shower for the entire floor. Not very clean facilities. Sunscreen available at the front desk which is a nice touch. Very close to the beach, main good reason to choose this place.
D. H.Pretty clean overall. Bathrooms were crowded with 2 per floor. Kitchen was always crowded as its very small considering the amount of guests. Staff are a little rude and seem to not want to be bothered sometimes.
Location is the 10 min walk to Bondi. No grocery store really close. Bus stop across the street. Sweet rooftop view, if it's open. All of their computers are broken and the Wifi hardly works.
T. M.The hostel was easy enough to find. Probably great for the people partying but not for everybody else who just wants a night sleep because they have to get up early in the morning. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and people in general were respectful and considerate. The price is very reasonable.
P. B.Excellent location and great view from the roof deck. Walking distance to Bondi Rd shops and to Bondi Beach itself. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Shared bathroom was reasonable but it is a backpackers after all. Room could do with a fan on hot days. Have to hunt for free on street parking. But otherwise everything was quite good.
B. S.We got a private room for two. The beds were thin bunk beds and the walls were paper thin hearing people stomping like elephants outside. The other services were good. The staff were friendly and helpful. We got to play table tennis and plenty of board games.
L. M.i stayed there 2 months, nice place to meet somepeople, i met a lot of good friends. some people (not all) in the staff are rude, not friendly. you have to smoke at 100 meters from the entry. good rooftop with a good view
S. M.The place is OK overall, not far from the beach but not as close as you'd think. The bathrooms are clean enough but you basically need to use them in the middle of the afternoon or late at night to make sure they won't be occupied (only 2 bathrooms per floor). As mentioned before, the kitchen is too small and always crowded, I had to eat outside several times or eat tons of microwaved noodles just because I couldn't use the cooker. There's no oven....
Also, I thought the place was strict on the noise but there's actually no control. Been awakened many times in the middle of the night by drunk travellers walking and laughing super loudly and I don't think they got kicked out.
Some members of the staff were nice enough and helpful but others were almost unfriendly. One woman, in particular, often at the counter made me so uncomfortable (I even had that feeling that she was personally unfriendly to me) that I avoided asking her for help as much as possible and would wait for someone else to be there. I don't think that's normal.
M. D.I stayed in a 4 person room that had plenty of room. A couple of downsides are the size of the bathrooms per floor and I saw a cockroach in one of the bathrooms. The top bunks do not have rails to stop you from falling off. The kitchen is a good size and they have free Wi-Fi in the dining area and reception
T. M.Perfect location for bondi beach and tamarama. The room was by the toilet/shower area so lots of noise at times. Helpful receptionist let me check in at 8am unfortunately was in a room was a crazy lady who found it acceptable to shake me awake. Bit pricey for a private room.
T. M.Such a great location right next to Bondi Beach. Lovely rooftop where you can look down over tamarama and gutted I didnt go up to see a sunset. Staff were pleasant on arrival. I'd recommend staying away from this hostel if your stay here is longer than a few days.
T. M.We arrived just after midnight and were checked in by the lovely night ***ager. To shorten the story they pushed for it and ensured we were put into the correct room. The M Deli cafe is opposite the YHA and its a great breakfast hang out. Having now been to ***ly, I'd recommend staying there instead until this YHA vastly improves.
T. M.We stayed in ***y YHAs on our trip and this was our least favourite. The main thing that let this hostel down was the ***ager Katie. We have stayed in serious sh holes with bedbugs and all sorts of yuckyness during our backpacker years and this hostel sure is the cleanest that I have seen.
T. M.You could get cutlery and plates etc for a 10 dollar deposit which was useful. The location is pretty good but you are not right on the beach. Try your best to use the bathroom facilities immediately after they are cleaned. I think they are just lax because Bondi is such a great place to visit they don’t have to try very hard.
T. M.Location had good transport links to centre of Sydney. There is however a nice rooftop with great views of the surrounding beaches and sunsets. The staff are very friendly and are willing to help you book your next journey wether it's a day out or a bus ride they are always there.
D. F.Stopped here for my 2 weeks holiday in Sydney back in 2006 i was absolutely amazed how close it was to the beach. I made new friends during my stop from all over the world but overall nicely set up cheap rooms available.
M. L.This rating is based off the fact that this is a hostel so don't expect a super nice place. But the prices are average and the location is superb. View from the roof and the rooms of the ocean are great. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
A. A.In general everything was ok. As expensive as everything in Bondi is. Free Wi-fi just in the lounge, if you want it in your room you have to pay for it. The free wi-fi does not work well at all. Kitchen opens from 8am to 12pm. Not enough room in the fridges when the hostel is full, but the kitchen is quite useful. Average.
T. M.Bondi YHA is a older builing and therefore some of the facilities are older. There is a nice decking area on the rooftop which beautiful views however people smoke here so isn't great if you are a non smoker. I wouldn't recommend staying in a place that doesn't care about the non ""long term"" residents.
T. J.Room was large enough for two adults and had a nice bathroom attached. Rooftop view was nice also. Walking distance to Bondi Road and Bondi Beach as well as a bus stop. Clean, easy, affordable.
G. T.15 minutes walk from Bondi Beach. Rooms are really clean and relatively new. Cool courtyard with table tennis. Free wifi, though it's slow and a premium faster wifi is available for $5 a night. Really good staff. Free tea and coffee. No free breakfast.

P. W.Very nice Hostel between Bondi and Tamarama beach. At the rooftop you have a stunning view on the coast line, exept for the the kitchen there are big common areas, good to meet new people. It is a little bit less clean than YHA standart, but still good enough to give 5 stars.
D. N.Place is a bit of a labyrinth inside, there are only a couple of dryers and few washing machines. You may encounter some not so nice bugs since it's an old building but the general experience reflects the price and it was worth it

Roof top patio has spectacular view, smaller kitchen ($10 deposit for bowl,plate, knife,spoon,cup), $1 for towel, $8 / day for wifi, $1 for towel, Good bars are 15 min away across from Bondi beach. Must hand over passport for free use of Body boards. No exceptions. Credit card are not acceptable. Good Bathrooms and can be a little noisy at night from parties in the lounge area which I was Ok with. Pingpong in courtyard. Computers available.

Wunderbares staff Team das regelmäßig wechselt. Die Küche ist etwas klein, jedoch hat man nach zwei bis drei tagen die peak Zeiten herausgefunden und kann dementsprechend anpassen.
Die Lage des YHA ist hervorragend, genau zwischen Bondi und Tamarama beach mit 3 min marsch bis zum Tamarama Strand und 15 zu Bondi.
