D. P.Cool place and chill vibe. Staff are very welcoming and actually had beers with us. Silvie is the best!!! Nicest receptionist I’ve ever met. The location being In the middle of Newtown is so perfect for a night out. Rooms are clean and spacious, I could fit everything. I was planning on only staying a week, but will definitely stay longer!

K. C.This hostel is not safe to live in, they let street junkies live in the property. Very dangerous place to live in. Manager is not doing their best to ensure the tenant safety. And it seems like the rules apply to different people different rules. Don’t come to this hostel go somewhere else, don’t gamble your safety.
J. A. S.Nice location, the price is pretty good and competitive against other hostels. Very convenient to public transports, supermarkets and pubs. Rooms are clean and kitchen facilities are great. It’s a hostel not a 5 star resort. You get what you pay for. I would definitely come back.

The management/staff are very welcoming and helpful; they made me feel genuinely welcome and did everything possible to make my stay as satisfying and comfortable as possible.
The accommodation is basic but certainly adequate and the place is kept very clean. The kitchen is well appointed and the recreation/TV room is comfortable.
All in all a great place to stay.
T.For the price I paid which was fairly cheap, the facilities are clean and the staff is outstanding. As it’s a part of a school, you can tell that the people working there love what they do. Highly recommend to anyone, and the neighbourhood around the hostel has a great selection of food, lots of history and easy access to public transport / grocery stores.

j. s.These people are crooks. I have travelled the world and never known ANY hotel or hostel to more than double the price of a room because i turned up at 6.20pm. The rude woman told me that i would have received an email, but who looks out for that sort of warning email after you get your booking confirmation? My bed went froom $19 to an e tea $25 on top! I realise they do this to screw travellers who don't have much other choice, but I have reported to fair trading. If they were being honest they would give this w warning on their ad
M. B.EBS stands for European Bartender School and the hostel is accomodation for the students doing the course but it's also open to the public. My experience here has been a really good one. It's a close-knit atmosphere because the students are all close and study together, met some sweethearts and the staff was always very accomodating and friendly. Selma's a beautiful soul and fun to talk to!
W.I stayed in the Ebs hostel for 4 nights and had a nice time! The Hostel is very clean and it has the best staff ever! Everyone is friendly and its close to everything you need!
B. P.Don't go to EBS sydney hostel, they are liers!
I have made a booking for 3 nights for 31 dollars each. They had a full month to contact me and I've even called them the day before and they say nothing.
When I came to chack in they tried to make me pay 130 dollars for 3 nights without saying anything about the change in the price and only when I asked about it they said it's a problem in the web and the price is 43 per night.
I refused to pay more then what I booked so they just let me go to the street without even say sorry!
A. T.The people living in the place were great, but that is the case for most backpackers. The building itself is a bit shabby and dirty. The air cirkulation is not good in the building and has a smell to it.
