R.Nice spot by the water to take a break and a lovely open air dining room. Drinks are decent, but the oysters were just not worth the price. My fault for ordering on a Tuesday, so I'll say 4.5 out of 5. Staff were pleasant and good ambience.
C. S.We had the most relaxing weekend away at Halcyon house. The service was flawless and the staff were exceptionally friendly and eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Someone was always available to assist you with whatever you needed and the location right on the beach was stunning.

All I can say is that the staff, management, food and accommodation was nothing short of amazing.
We had to reschedule a number of times due to lockdowns, and they were nothing but accommodating.
Jason and his team created the most amazing food experience for us, along with Alice and her team of professionals in Paper Daisy.
Josie thank you for bringing everything together.
To all of the team that helped with our Guests over the weekend, we had so much fun with you all.
The only negative thing we have to say is that we wish it could have lasted longer!
If you are after a romantic getaway, fantastic meal or somewhere special to dine, I could not recommend Halcyon any higher.
Thanks Mauro, you have created a team of professionals in a difficult time.

B. M.I’ve stayed here three times, and highly recommend. Take a side trip from either Byron or the Gold Coast. Groovy ‘70s vibe. Restaurant is superb. Cabarita Beach is unspoiled heaven, and the town is not ‘manufactured’ like those to the north.

C. R.My sister and I had a wonderful experience at the spa. We were greeted by a lovely staff member and taken through to the change area. We were able to relax in the steam room first before our treatment. The massage I had with Brooke was amazing. Everything was perfect from the waiting area, treatment room and the massage was fabulous. Not to mention we had delicious cocktails before and after and some bar snacks. B. B.Halcyon House is a very special place in a stunning part of NSW.
It's definitely a spoil yourself holiday with spectacular accomodations and a first class restaurant - Paper Daisy.
But more than this, the "staff" are more than staff, they are engaged and they make you feel like friends, all are excellent at their jobs and first class.
The management have nailed customer service!
I will always be thankful we chose to celebrate my birthday at Halcyon House and we'll be back again and again.

N. M.If you have not stayed, you should. What a truly great experience. The service, quality if rooms and food was brilliant. We were also looked after by the spa staff, who tend to all our needs. We were only 20 mins from home, but it felt like a world away. The only sad part was we were only here for one night.

Paper Daisy restaurant is an absolute favourite
Most of the male restaurant managers to date have consistently been obnoxious, unprofessional and poorly presented, which compromises this beautiful venue.
C. W.What an amazing few days. The presentation of everything at this hotel from the staff, the rooms, the spa you name it, it was all first class. Breakfast to pool side dining to dinner at Paper Daisy was 10/10
M. A.A very nice experience. A little overpriced for what we got. Our room was advertised with an open plan bathroom with automatic doors. Once we got there we realised that meant disabled friendly room, which would have been nice had the automatic doors worked. A very comfy bed gave us a well needed rest and friendly staff and great food gave us an overall positive experience.
D. S.Spent 5 nights here at Christmas after spending 5 nights at Elements of Byron. If we had been here first, I think I would have enjoyed it more but as a hotel, Elements was so much nicer. I feel like this is all about Paper Daisy and the hotel is a side note.
Rooms are nicely decorated but lack privacy. Our curtain was a pain to open and close and it had to be closed or people walking past along the beachside park or the pool could look straight in.There is a small lounge in the room, only suited for 1 person. There is a desk in the room, but no chair to sit at it. Also nowhere to sit and eat if you do order room service. Bathrooms are great as are the toiletries. Turn down service is great and the rooms are kept really clean.
The pool is okay. Deck chairs could use some love but again, there's a lack of privacy between pool and restaurant.
Food at Paper Daisy is okay, but just misses the mark. Dinners were nice with a few dishes being really nice and others mediocre. While they all looked great, flavours were a bit off on a few. Breakfast is a shambles and all the dishes need work. Sydney breakfasts are 10 times better in flavour, size and presentation. It was included in our rate but if I would never come here for breakfast alone.
Had a massage at the spa which was great.
Location is great, 50m walk to the water.
Overall a good experience but some tweaks would make it great.
C. L.Amazing decor, menu and atmosphere. Super trendy and friendly. Service is slow though and we had some "VIPs" beside us who received everything before us which made you feel less special. However staff were nevertheless friendly. Would I return again? Yes!
B. B.Great staff, excellent food all done in a beautifully renovated motel. The rooms are lovely and the whole mini bar is complimentary! Situated at Cabrita beach, about 45mins drive from Suffers Paradise. The beach is out the back and an adequate pool in the grounds. Very nice for a weekend getaway.

L. M.My partner and I stayed three nights at Halcyon, with one of those being our wedding night (we eloped in the hinterlands).
Halcyon House is absolutely stunning, and the service is second to none. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for the team! From posting our wedding dress and suits and party invites out as we were flying out to our honeymoon, to helping me get out of my dress at night, to Beku strumming the guitar poolside for ambience.
The restaurant was spectacular, from the decor to the food - we did breakfast every day and delighted in the fresh, local produce. And for our wedding night, we did a four-course degustation with matched wines that was so plentiful and delicious, we simply couldn't finish it all.
We also appreciated the special touches in our room like the fresh fruit on arrival, home made cookies on our last night, and a bottle of bubbles on our wedding night.
Highly recommend the day spa too, we treated ourselves to a massage one afternoon and it was heaven. And the morning yoga is a great way to start the day.
If you want to be spoiled, stay at Halcyon. It's absolutely worth the splurge. Flop and drop and spend your days lazing by the pool, then jumping into the ocean, and chilling out with a drink. Perfect.

Bar staff were quite terrible...poor, slow service & unattentive...leaving several customers waiting to place orders. 2 ladies waited 30 minutes for 2 take away coffees on a sunday morning whilst we were there. Staff numbers need to be doubled...then trained!

C. B.(Translated) Nice place with good potential, but which lacks that little extra to become a five-star place. Mostly because of a very uneven service, but also some construction technical issues. Our room (201) was responsive and we heard when the neighbors flushed and when the kitchen staff worked in the kitchen below. But this is a nice location and the food is really good!

Trevligt ställe med bra potential, men som saknar det där lilla extra för att bli ett femstjärnigt ställe. Fränst på grund av en väldigt ojämn service, men även vissa byggtekniska frågor. Vårt rum (201) var lyhört och vi hörde när grannarna spolade och när kökspersonalen arbetade i köket under. Men det här ett fint läge och maten är riktigt bra!
