S. T.Location is great for exploring wine country by car. The property is beautiful and well looked after with lots of common areas to hang out, eat and enjoy a bottle or 2 with friends. Beds are very comfy, the hostel has everything you could need and more. Great to see everything looking so green and lush after the rain too!

Here you have clean, comfortable, modern accommodation with excellent amenities including a spacious commercial grade kitchen and living dining area, outdoor BBQ and pizza kitchen, hammocks and a swimming pool, all for a fraction of the cost of other accommodations in the area. The location is second to none in the middle of the world class Hunter Valley wine region with vineyards at your doorstep.

good kitchen and bathrooms. With an outdoor bbq area and pool. Laundry is 4$, dryer 1$ (10min).
It’s a bit far from town, but they do have pizzas.
And there’s a brewery in walking distance, where you can taste beer and have lunch/dinner.
Only issue for me was that there’s no heating in the room and it was quite cold on the shadow side of the building.
B. F.The private rooms are small, you'd want to be fairly good friends with the other person in the room. The shared bathroom and kitchen are usually tidy and parking isn't difficult. There needs to be more blankets on the beds though because the rooms don't have any individual heating. Please note that towels soaps and other motel gifts arent included at a hostel.
P.Really friendly front desk staff and they are open to eight PM so can check in late after touring the wineyards. Don't forget to bring your own towels! It can get noisy as rooms are very close to each other but there is a quite period after 10pm. In the end for the price, it's a winner.
T. U.Hostel was quiet and cozy. We had a wine tour pick us up right out front, which was very convenient. There weren't any heaters in the room and we were there in the winter, so it was a bit chilly. The staff was really nice.

Good location, close to vineyards and pubs/eateries.

NEGATIVES:
Hire bikes were a bit of a disaster and not kept in best nick. 1 of which was totally un-ridable (broken bottom bracket causing gears to slip all over the place and chain forever getting jammed) which proved an absolute nightmare on our ride out in 37 degree heat. No offer of apology for this from manager, let alone a refund, which I'd quite reasonably expected after a long day getting my hands covered in oil, untangling the chain from the derailures.
Soo hot in the bedrooms when the temps outside get into the 30's.
A. S.Great place to stay when you want to explore Hunter Valley. The rooms are clean and cosy, with an amazing views. There is communal area with well equipped kitchen, car parc, barbeque area and a swimming pool. You can rent bicycles and go for a ride amongst beautiful countryside. Nigel, who works there, is really helpful and informative. I would highly recommend all the backpacker to go and visit an other side of Australia (not just coast and beaches).
