We got the king bed with the harbour view! It didn’t disappoint. The bed and pillows were so comfy, had a great night sleep which is very important. The shower also has a great pressure, it’s good. We went to Sailmaker restaurant for buffet breakfast, the staffs are courteous, food was hot and delicious. Pleasant experience.

Quite a nice hotel. Well kept rooms and areas, convenient city location and nice views from the room out to the bay.
Room amenities were good, with tea and coffee available in the bar fridge, iron and hair dryer, robes and slippers and bathroom supplies (makeup pads, q tips, towels, face towels, bathmats)
Staff were friendly but didn't always give full information. I wasn't told how to turn on the lights in my room, or shown where the elevators were to get up to the rooms.
Was here for a work trip and enjoyed my stay.
M. C.
Staff were great! Fit out is so chic and cool, the room service and restaurant had super tasty food. Would totally visit/stay there again. Recommend visiting the rooftop bar for a cocktail and snacks!!!!
B.
Convenient location with a great view of the harbour. Buffet breakfast was nice with many options to choose from. My only problem with the stay was being abruptly stopped and interrogated by a rude female staff member upon re entering the hotel asking "where are you going?" Then asking for my hotel card as proof. I understand it's probably protocol but the manner in which she did it was absolutely disgusting and ruined my night

Pretty much delivers what it promises but underwhelming. Rooms are nothing special. Whole place generally quiet due to covid so maybe not best time to judge the atmosphere. For the money, not worth it
P. B.
Really nice Seafood Buffet as a comparison to others in Sydney. A drinks package offered however expensive so consider purchasing by the glass or bottle. Service was good and friendly.

Great location and rooms are very spacious. Hotel staff are fantastic and Sonan at breakfast is amazing with his happy and friendly nature. Will stay at this beautiful hotel again soon.
Also dined at both restaurants and found the food and drinks were very nice and prices are good and great service by the friendly staff.
J. B.
Excellent staff, especially at the front desk. Big shout out to Peter. Really great rooms. The Chromecast was especially useful.
Thanks everybody for making our stay so enjoyable.

From the moment we walked in to the foyer we were warmly greeted by the Hyatt Regency staff. Our room was superb overlooking the glorious Cockle Bay/Darling Harbour precinct. Breakfast was delicious at the Sailmaker restaurant and the highlight was cocktails at the Zephyr bar. Definitely a memorable stay for our family, we will be back.
V. B.
Fabulous staff and amazing breakfast. The rooms are on the smallish size and harbour view is Darling Harbour and rooftops but awesome position and quiet.

Always a pleasurable experience dining at the Sailmaker Reataurant.
This years Christmas lunch was exceptional.
Beautiful fresh seafood & Christmas roasts with all the trimmings as well as desserts to die for.
Karan & the team always make us feel very welcome & are polite, friendly & go out of their way to look after us.
Our waitress this year Suzie did a fantastic job too. 🎅🏻
New Years Eve was amazing 🤩
We received an upgrade to the Zephyr Bar which was up on level 12.
It boasts stunning views of Darling Harbour & it is not fully enclosed by walls.
On one side it has the top section “open” so there is fresh air coming in.
Again, we were looked after by all the friendly staff & Wilson made it extra special for us.
Looking forward to coming back again soon.

This is a beautiful hotel, BUT the staff are incredible. I have never experienced this level of service in Australia or overseas. From the front desk team (thank you to Gary Chan for looking after us), to the restaurant and bar staff, they cannot do enough for you. Had a great deal and hope there will be more in the future.
C. K.
The staff here were extremely accommodating after an issue we had and wanted us to receive nothing but the best service. I would highly recommend staying here. Not only this but the rooms were great, location was perfect and the staff were extremely friendly.
V. S.
Great location, staff are friendly, buffet breakfast was good with lots of choices of food. The reason why I give 3 stars is that they need to improve their housekeeping duties. Hubby found a dirty sock just right down by the bed.

Amazing place. We were a family of 4 with two small kids and they accomodated us into one room while some other hotels wanted us to book two rooms. The view is just outstanding and worth the price.
Lets start with the pros
- I requested early check in for 1 but guess what the room was ready at 11 and it notified me that via the app.
- They have a check in via the phone and a digital key to open the door - yes next gen.
- The bell boy and the check in staff are so respectiful and courteous.
- we took the parking package and parking was just opposit the hotel. 24 hours free parking was included.
- Great breakfast with made to order Omlette and Coffees.
- The rooms were nice and clean as expected.
Cons
- The rooms lets say are small for the price.
- we paid the exact same amount for Shagri la for a harbour and Opera facing room and it was massive lets say 3 times this size.
- The buffet breakfast was good but not excellent. Again I am just being picky but at other 5 start hotels I have had pancakes/french toast made to order - this was not the case here. The pancakes were just left on the counter which was just ok.
P. S.
The stay was amazing with Hyatt. Would love to give special thanks to Vishal sharma for making our stay memorable and we love the way he checked us in.
Will be back soon.
Thank you

Mesmerising view from rooms neat clean food served here n breakfast is 10/10 comfortable n easy bookings available close to all amenities.

Overall this hotel is beautiful. Great rooms, staff are Amazing. Sonan was wonderful at Breakfast and really did his best to help.
However i think the hotel needs to reconsider the $8 delivery fee they charge for room service. I ordered a coffee to my room and was charged $12. Most expensive coffee ever. The reason we stay at hotels is for comfort and relaxation, the next morning i went down to grab a coffee to save myself $8. I think this is very wrong. Ive travelled to many hotels around Australia in and the world and this $8 fee was the first for me. Extra chrages like this keeep me from coming back.
J. L.
Went to the hotel bar last night to have a a few drinks before bed. Near the bar there is a frequently used service door that all the staff use, each of them letting the door slam shut. Trying to relax, chatting quietly with your wife then "bang", "bang" for the short time we were there. Ordered another round of drinks just after 8pm (yes, THAT LATE) and I got "ohh sorry, the bar is closed" What ever happened to "last drinks"... for a 5 star hotel in the city of Sydney closing the only available bar at 8pm is poor. Did I mention 5star? The bar fridge in the room doesn't work at all.

Overall a great weeks stay for work. Room was modern and clean and the breakfast service was very good. Will definitely return next time I visit Sydney. 👍🏻

My boyfriend and I had an amazing 2 night stay in the Harbour view suite. Huge shoutout to Peter Brown for making our stay incredibly swift with his generous gestures consistently throughout our stay.

Can’t say enough great things about Astrid who goes above and beyond every time we stay. Not to mention she is really nice and provides great advice and assistance! I highly recommend this hotel for any occasion! Thank you
D. R.
Perfect staycation location, currently there's a small and free exhibition in the lobby called "The Spirit of Cricket - India" showing photographs by Steve Waugh. It's on until 18th December 2021. I really enjoyed watching the short documentary, flipping through the photography book and admiring the prints throughout the lobby.
Hyatt Regency is centrally located, about 10-15 min walk to Chinatown, Barangaroo (lots of bars and restaurants), Pitt Street Mall (main shopping area) and about 5 min to Town Hall station. It's also the closest hotel to the Sydney aquarium and Wild Life Sydney Zoo (less than 5min walk). Staff service is great and professional. Minor complaint was the tv mirroring (so we can watch our own Netflix) was working intermittently but otherwise clean neat and comfortable.
As of writing (mid November) the buffet breakfast seem to be offering a reduced selection.. I was hoping for congee but I guess there's no overseas guests so not a popular dish to offer. Additionally, they were running a bit low on everything (tomato sauce, cups, bowls etc.) so a little patience is needed

A great position. The hotel is amazing, really clean, new carpets, really clean bathroom, comfortable bed, great staff. Highly recommended.

We decided to use Hyatt Regency as our venue for our Big Hindu Wedding,
We used the Grand Ballroom and the Maritime Ballroom, Hyatt was so accommodating to us by allowing us to perform all of our customary rituals and traditions.
The staff were amazing and supported us throughout the event.
A special thanks to the Chef’s and staff that prepared and served the food, from the moment we went to the menu tasting we knew we were in good hands.
My background is originally South Indian, not only did the Hyatt kitchen alter the menu to deliver Indian flavours but they also went as far as providing specific flavours from the South of India and they were spot on.
Also a special thanks to the Wedding Sales and planning managers and all others who helped out.
It was a magically weekend and they met our expectations and exceeding them.
Thanks again from the Reddy Family.

Excellent hotel, very friendly and professional staff, buffet breakfast was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel, the harbour view was just stunning.

Have stayed here occasionally for special occasions since it was built. Staff were warm and welcoming and surprised us with a complimentary gift for a special occasion.
K. T.
Thanks for making my stay comfortable (including Guest services and bar staff from sky bar for the amazing veggo options) I don't feel left out
Y. T.
We had a wonderful stay here lastnight, we spent the night in a harbour
view room, well worth the slightly higher price, views were spectacular.
The room was spotless the service was brilliant from all the staff including checking in and checking out which was a breeze and minimal wait time. Zephyr bar upstairs boasts a beautiful view of the harbour and lovely table service, we enjoyed a delicious cheese platter and the view :)
The hotel location is brilliant easy walk to the harbour, bars and restaurants. We will stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
H. T.
I had the pleasure of staying here for work whilst attending a trade show down the road; I can honestly say staff were so nice before the sliding doors opened, from assisting with luggage from the car to the desk. Check in was warm, friendly and fast. Room was nice and clean and had everything you need, I didn't need to unplug an alarm clock to plug in my charger as there were plenty plug options right where you need it.
Room service was good value for money and guest services were always happy to help with a the random request of a toothbrush kit or a bandaid 🙂 all the way to check out.
I would definitely recommend this place for work or to unwind.
Thank you. Well done. Very happy stay.
Ps. I forgot to take a photo, what is the brand of your Aloe Vera wash products? And where can one get these?
A. K.
One of the best views one can ever have in city. The best customer experience ever had. It was clean and tidy.
A. K.
I attended an all day conference there. Very impressive. Grand ball room is superb, food was high quality, the staff were excellent with a special mention of Wilson. Very attentive, nothing was too much. Well done and thank you.
F. B.
We celebrated our 30yr wedding anniversary stayed at the Hyatt Regency. Absolutely beautiful.

great service and comfortable rooms. The Zephyr Roof top bar is spectacular

The room was immaculate, the staff were friendly and very helpful. Very glad I stayed here.

Was just down for the one night for a work trip, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Location wise the Hyatt was perfectly positioned, close enough to everything. I really enjoyed being able to have a lovely morning walk and the staff were very helpful and courteous. Unfortunately didn't use too many of the other facilities due to the length of stay, but the bed was super comfortable and the office space in the room was great to work from. Bathrooms clean and tidy and all round a very pleasant experience! Thanks Hyatt.
A. W.
First off, I had read the previous reviews before we travelled and I noticed a few were quite bad reviews towards the hotel, so therefore I was naturally curious as to how my stay would go.
As for my experience, I can't rate it highly enough. From our Reception to our Departure, everything was as you would expect from a Hyatt hotel. Concierge staff, reception staff, room attendants, Jackleberry Cafe - all very friendly. I would personally like to thank Rachel, all the Breakfast staff and to Kerin who went out of his way to be helpful. Our room was perhaps smaller than other hotels, but it was well laid out and was all that we needed for our 3 day stay. The bed and pillows comfortable. Low noise (if any) from other rooms. Spectacular view of Darling Harbour from our rooms and the night view was something to behold. Fireworks Friday to Sunday night of our stay. Being over 60yo I would give the Zephyr Sky Bar a miss next time. Music loud and more suited to the younger crowd. Open air and at this time of year quite cold, even with the heating available. I am glad that we went up there though, the view was, again, wonderful.
Having access to Cockle Bay Wharf via the 'back' doors was great. Down a few steps and we were right at the Aquarium etc. This is something that could be pointed out to guests on their arrival or perhaps by some literature about the hotel amentities and surrounds in the rooms.
I hope that my husband and I will soon return to the Hyatt Regency, Sussex Street. I'm looking forward to it.
M. D.
Best commercial hotel with wonderful venues including the Grandball room and Amazing Rooftop Bar ❤️
A. B.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyable place to stay with great location next to Darling Harbour
S. K.
No on-site parking available.
No views of darling harbour
NIce open spaces to use.
Food is excellent
C.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Regency. Room service was very good, everything I have tried on the menu was pleasant - shame it wasn’t available 24hrs. Room was on the smaller side but for an older building, it was modernly renovated and overall a rather pleasant stay.

Have stayed here twice and my family all book here when have to stay in city... very happy with rooms booked and staff. Have had room service this time and last time stayed and again food was great. This time booked breakfast for morning which I'm sure is delicious as have eaten in their restaurant before and food was of high standard. Will be back again...thankyou.
C. C.
Couldnt of asked for a better weekend staying here at the Hyatt.
Beautiful place and rooms with a perfect location.
We'd like to make a special thank you to Peter (Chief Concierge) who went well above and beyond to ensure we had the best weekend ever. We will be definitely coming back to stay here many times because of him. We'd love for Peter to see this!

It was a good stay but the beginning wasn't great entering the bathroom i found a used condom in the bin which actually threw my mood off. I contacted the manager she did upgrade the room but still my night was ruined as my gf didn't want to stay. They did give us complimentary breakfast but being indian I don't find much too eat in the breakfast other than fruits, that was the reason I didn't opt for it in the first place. I went to crown first, but then choosed Hyatt but was expecting a much higher standard, and the $100 extra for the night parking was actually a shocker in the morning, as I expected hotel to have a parking of their own.
C. F.
I was invited to an event here.
For dinner we had 2 choices of starter, prawns and burrata; 2 choices of main, beef and chicken; and a chocolate cake for dessert.
Prawns are what I liked the most. Food was well presented, even if I didn’t like much the combination of flavours and the cake was not that delicious, I liked more the green sauce on the side.
Waiters were the best, very well organised and professional. Location was good too, with a nice view on Darling Harbour.
V. L.
Great hotel. Beautiful decor. Great for events. Lots of ballrooms and then break-out rooms and conference rooms and meeting rooms of different styles. If can hold three or four different conferences at the same time. With heart detection cameras for guests. Guest wifi. Great staff and coffee carts.
The architecture is interesting, a mix of modern with leading lines and curves. Then the sandstone original part, metal bars, wood. It's tied together very well.
J. A.
Stayed in a King Room.
Room was very small (about 28 sqm). Bathroom was also tiny and had no bathtub (there wouldn't be space for one to begin with). Showerhead wasn't detachable so that made bathing our child even more difficult. Water pressure was very low and not adjustable. Towels were sized for kids.
Buffet breakfast was decent though very busy on weekends (had to queue and wait for a table).
Location is great, being positioned between Town Hall and Darling Harbour - there's even a direct stairway to get down to Darling Harbour.
A. D.
For a 5 star hotel, it was disappointing. We were able to check-in early but had to request fresh towels and robes, plus complimentary items that weren't already provided - thank you, Joanne (guest services)!!! TV remote gave trouble to work and fridge not cold.
A. L.
Always a fantastic place to stay in Sydney. Fab location and top notch service
A. H.
Pros: beautiful views of harbour, comfortable bed and hello, buffet breakfast.
Cons: poor soundproofing in room, could hear traffic noise, no chromecast, only screen mirroring despite being advertised, paid high price for a suite and no benefits being compensated for due to club lounge still closed.
L. T.
I was invited to a conference there and the staff were very accommodating to my allergies. Especially Cindy, she knew the menu well and made good suggestions to prevent my allergies from flaring up. The event was set up beautifully and I would love to attend another conference held there in the future.
P. S.
Great position with amazing views over Darling Harbour. Very modern interior and Dining choices, room suite prices are competitive to other 5 Star hotels with all-round good service.
D. S.
It was great waking up to unobstructed view of Darling Harbour. All of the hotel staff are consistently pro and exceptional customer service esp Cyril Tan who was able to assist us during check-in and check-out. She elevated our free breakfast request to compensate for the higher room rate we paid for advance booking compare to the actual on-the-week rates and was impressively patient the entire interaction. Room service & resto service were also prompt & superb. All these are massive points for a wonderful NY stay at Hyatt Sydney. Keep up the fab customer-centric standard!
y. r.
Overnight stay was good - overnight parking a block away only $31
D. N.
Great location for a quick get away, parking is just across the road and easy. Room was very comfortable and views of the harbour were beautiful. Staff were very friendly. Hyatt meet all our expectations
C. K.
Thank you for a lovely stay. We were celebrating our anniversary and it was such a lovely surprised when we checked into our room and found wine and chocolates. The location is fantastic, you can walk straight out the back entrance to darling harbour.
Room as refurbished and breakfast was good.
K. K.
We had a great stay at Hyatt, breakfast was one of the best we had. Had harbour view and it was worth spending extra money for the upgrade. Hotel service was 5 stars. Will be staying here again in future
T. A. C.
The rooms seem a little older than other hotels in the area. But comfortable. Very close to darling harbour. Room rate very affordable. Service excellent. On arrival greeted with a smile and given 2pm check out. Breakfast was great. If you have a function /event near King Street wharf, this would be a great place to stay. We did not visit the night club. Maybe next time.
B. D.
Well appointed hotel & superbly located on the edge of Darling Harbour and within a short walk to Sydney’s CBD. A warm welcome awaits guests and an outline of the hotel’s Covid precautions are clearly articulated on arrival. The facilities are excellent with a wide array of food & beverage outlets. The rooftop bar is particularly attractive but worth booking in advance to ensure being accommodated. Breakfast in the restaurant is table service & despite being extremely busy at the weekend it was executed in a reasonably efficient manner. The bedrooms are contemporary, functional, bright & inviting. Service throughout the hotel was professional, helpful & friendly. Well worth a visit.
M. F.
From the get go, the service was excellent, and the hotel staff were very polite and well presented, setting up a beautiful stay at this hotel. The room was modern, very clean and tidy, providing all the required amenities for the short stay. It is in a very convenient location, walking distance from Darling Harbour with the city easily accessible by several forms of public transport.
The views from the floor to ceiling windows was also very nice. Highly recommend for a short stay in Sydney.
R.
Not as nice as a 5 star hotel. Small rooms, no bath, have to pay for water, no microwave or food warmer but nice spot, nice staffs, beautiful lobby, nice and special bar on level 12, nice restaurant and food especially breakfast.
W. M. D.
Great customer service. Amazing bed. Little bit noisy in the area on a Saturday night. We stayed in a harbour view king. Recommend you choose the late check out and breakfast options. Room service charge is $8 (in other hotels the cost of room service is already included in the higher cost per item but here the coffees were more expensive and there was an additional delivery fee)
C. J.
All aspects were great. Booking for a complicated stay with mixed numbers and nights was not too much trouble. Room was as anticipated and clean. Staff were very attentive and the stay was effortless. Location suited us and we will definitely be returning.
C. B.
Room wasn't exactly clean, the slamming of neighbouring doors made my bed shudder.
I stayed ANZAC night (public holiday) so the main restaurant and roof top bar with views were closed !!
Staff were very nice ... a disappointing stay !!
M. K.
I honestly expected more from this hotel. Stained sheets on the bed. Dirty curtains. Room was dusty
K. C.
Quiet, clean and fully touchless check in, check out and access...all done via the app on your phone. Staff were friendly. Rooms are refurbished and nice. Bed was comfy.
A. B.
Just hosted a GALA Awards Dinner in the Grand Ballroom and after party at Zepyhr Bar. The venue and staff were amazing and delivered a great event with delicious food. Highly recommend as an event space.
P. B.
Room was small, couple of things missing from the room but overall good.

I recently went to the Hyatt Regency for the ANZAC weekend. I can highly recommend the rooms and the place itself was beautiful. The check in process was long and annoying. We arrived around 1pm on Saturday when the Valet staff kindly directed us where to park our car and come back to reception. No issue there. We walked in to see 4 long lines waiting to be checked in. I understand checking someone in may take 5-10 minutes and I was prepared to wait in line for my turn. I waited in one line with my best friend for over 40 minutes. During that time I noticed the other lines moving a lot quicker, people who arrived 20 minutes after myself that were in a different line got checked in before me. I was beginning to lose patience as it seemed only my line was held up. The person serving would walk around confused and like they were missing something. Then getting confused with bookings and then someone did not have a booking and was dragging out their time to decide whether they wanted to pay for a room or not. I definitely think this was a problem. Should not have to wait 40+ minutes for check in. I would even suggest having a float staff come down with a list and make sure the people were COVID checked in and that if they clearly looked like they were checking in knew about the facilities. When we finally got to the front the receptionist was very quick with us which was great but seemed very frantic almost like they just wanted to get it over with. We knew nothing about our room, nothing about booking dinner, nothing about the facilities. I overheard many of the other receptionist really providing excellent customer service and helping every customer and greeted them like a guest would want to be greeted. It’s frustrating when you see other staff doing an amazing job then one just lets you down but it ends up ruining the experience. When we got to the room we noticed that the door was a little tricky to open and did not want to push it so we didnt break anything. I called guest service. I asked is there a certain way to open the door. The response I got was not helpful at all. They werent sure and didnt realise there was even a balcony. The person that came to our room to assist walked in opened it and just left. It was that easy if we had known or been told over the phone. Again was already frustrated with the check in process then having to wait around to have someone explain how the door opened was exhausting. Had we have been served by someone else I definitely think there would not have been an issue.
A. C.
Great location and room was excellent. However our experience at the sailmaker restaurant was not great for both dinner and breakfast. I understand the need for covid safe practices but in both cases they seemed to be disorganised. The serving was slow and poorly timed especially breakfast where I had to wait 15 minutes just to get sugar for cereal and coffee and butter for toast which was cold at that point. Some better management of systems and staff roles and responsibilities would help the experience in the restaurant. For us it was an effort just to eat there.
S. B.
We had a great stay at Hyatt, breakfast was one of the best we had but same menu for all three days. We Will be definitely staying here again in future .
N. J.
Nice rooms. Feels like it's been renovated relatively recently. Staff we're super helpful and included breakfast has a good range of options.
A. P. S.
Excellent location for a meeting in these covid times. Very professional. All regulations adhered to. In the Event i attended last night I felt safe and honestly was very happy to attend a face to face event again. We were all seated and did our networking sitting down. In many ways this was better because you could have a good discussion without having to shout. We were each giving a button lanyard which beeped if we got too close to other participants. The event was a hub and spoke event between several cities. A few glitches but it all went well i think. The Hyatt Regency has the necessary infrastructure to be connected to such s digital event. I'm now thinking about breakfast events for our Society which apparently have been popular in Perth.

Lovely breakfast at the Club area. They kindly warmed my leftovers for me there while I worked. Good food and variety in the morning. Wish there were more snacks during the day. Rooms have sufficient curtain coverage for people sensitive to light. The rooms are pleasantly decorated and the bed comfortable. Mini fridge is a bit small but other than that the stay was one of my favorites ever of 30+.
J. k.
Great central location, views and stay. Didn't quite make 5 stars due to cleanliness of rooms and breakfast experience
J. T.
Stayed 4 nights comfortable rooms in a great location, able to walk to Barangaroo, bus adjacent to QVB, excellent breakfast, Zephyr Bar stunning in the evening (book ahead) and Jackelberry great for dining try the prawns, comprehensive wine list, thank you to a well trained staff.
L. W.
Nice place, but the pillows were too soft. It was like lying on a bit of fluff. As advertised, great views of the harbour, although it turned out to be Darling Harbour not Sydney Harbour. I wanted to go up to the rooftop Zephyr Bar but because of the covid-19 restriction you had to book ahead. Unfortunately the minimum party size was two so I couldn't go. Great little miniature bottle shop opposite, expensive though $30 for a six-pack!
Aww, I'm just joking ya, lovely place, highly recommended.
A. B.
Room to improve, loved the room and the three hours my phone key worked. Had other issues I contracted them directly about with plenty of room to improve for the price, mainly communicating to their World of Hyatt members
L. K. W. O. L. -. A. v.
Nice hotel, small rooms but has everything you need. Nice staff, close to the CBD and the buffet breakfast was delicious!
S. M.
Awesome hotel in the heart of Sydney CBD with great views over Darling Harbour. Best rooms have views over Darling Harbour for the best Sydney sunsets
S. T.
Great service clean hotel and close to everything
E. F.
Beautiful rooms and views. Great service. The refurbishments have really made this one of the best hotels in town. Sebastian who does the night shift is an absolute legend.
P. E.
Great view Darlong Harbour great rooms.
A. H.
The Rooftop Bar was just gorgeous. And the service and the variety of drinks available were superb. I really enjoyed it, however, it was absolutely pouring today so it was quiet. On a hotter day, I would imagine it could get quite loud and busy.
D. B.
The price is just right for the place. It is elegant and classy. The room's view was amazing! It is spacious, clean, well-maintained. It was complete with amenities as well. The restaurant looks so classy! The food was delicious. The staff were kind, polite and friend. My husband and I will be back soon!
P.
Stayed here just over a year ago and it was absolutely wonderful. Had the most amazing room and the hotel staff were extremely friendly. Have returned since just for a bite to eat and enjoyed a delicious bar style meal. Club sandwich was excellent. Can't fault this hotel and it's staff
J. W.
Beautiful hotel function area. I've been here multiple times, and it's great. The view of Darling Harbour is beautiful, the spaces are very large, open and elegant. Staff are friendly and professional. Look forward to staying here one night to experience what the actual hotel experience is like.
T. C.
Have stayed before for a 5 star review which is why I stayed again. Hate doing this, bedside lamps and coffee tables dusty ( black shows it especially in sunlight ). Grime around top of ice bucket. Room made up with towels for 2 guests when 3 booked. Staff are fantastic and really responsive.
C. D.
Nice bedroom layout - comfortable bed, pillows, bathrobes, etc...
We could hear a little people talking in the corridor at night.
Room service was good.
Be careful not to over order like we actually did.
Seating for room service wasn’t appropriate as there was actually no proper table nor chairs to be dining with. We eventually made it work anyway.
y.
Premium location. Service is okay sometime front desk is obviously understaffed. Make sure ask for harbour side room if you don’t want to see a car park view outside your room window. Rooftop bar is pretty good. Breakfast has plenty of choices. Lobby cafe is also nice.
A. K.
What an incredible hotel. Everything is just perfect!
Centrally located luxury hotel.
Close to everything.
Extra ordinary customer service ❤️
Fabulous rooms.
Studio suit is my favorite.
I would highly recommend to stay in studio room on Saturday so you can see darling harbour fireworks straight from from your bed or from bathtub 🛁 while having a glass of wine 🍷.
Group departure or arrival area is separate so guests doesn't have to wait.
Top floor bar is with the view.
Variety of cocktails
M. L.
After the hotel honoring the booking the following month it was an amazing stay and is a breathtaking place. The attention to detail onsite is incredible and the staff are wonderful. A special place.
K. S.
Stayed for about 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As you enter, you will be welcomed with a huge lobby which is generally busy with people around. There is an exit across the other end that connects to the darling harbour. Rooms, although not very spacious, are still decently sized and comfortable and offer stunning views of the harbour. Staff is quite professional and helpful too.

Good hotel, and staff members are friendly. What I like the most was their breakfast buffet. Chefs at omelet bar offers way more selection than you can think of :-) They also have bee combs racked in the wooden frame where you can get freshest honey.
K. Y.
The position of the balcony room was amazing with views over Darling Harbour. The Signature Seafood dinner was worth the money with multiple course and more than enough food. The staff were pleasant but not fantastic. It was a significant anniversary for us and would have been a nice touch for an upgrade or bottle of wine. The music from across the harbour went on until 2am and could be clearly heard and there were a few intoxicated random people using the on-site rooftop bar and were disruptive in the lifts. The beds were not great, everytime someone moved the bed rocked or rolled. Overall, a good night but fell below exexpectations.
P. S.
Wow, Only for a night and they treated us like royalty. Room looked over Darling Harbour, super comfortable and the electronic blinds were cool. Thankyou to your amazing friendly staff that went above and beyond.
R. B.
Amazing staff, very friendly and helpful!
Awesome food!
Very comfortable rooms! Ours was overlooking the harbour! Great view!
Only a short walk to the Aquarium and Harbour! Highly recommend staying here!!

I recently held my wedding reception in The Heritage Room in The Hyatt Regency. The wedding we had planned in Italy in October was cancelled due to Covid 19 and so we booked with the hotel less than two months before the wedding. I was put in touch with the wedding specialist – Mary Kennis. We communicated through emails mostly. From the beginning, it was apparent no request was too difficult to deal with.
Choosing from an extensive menu was the difficult part. As some guests were fussy eaters, I made some amendments which were okayed by the chef. I also requested a specific vegetarian dish which wasn’t an issue either.
On the day, the executive chef popped out to welcome us – this made us feel really special and most welcome. The interior of the Hyatt is truly spectacular, especially the older part of the building. We had some (amazing) scones to begin with in the lobby area.
The Heritage Room was set up really elegantly. I had previously sent some photos of how I wanted the centrepieces set up – these were done perfectly and complemented by the flowers. The manager looking after the reception was exceptional (I think ‘Sachen’ was his name). Nothing was rushed and we were constantly updated about timing of food, etc. Service was outstanding with our needs being met before we even knew we had them!
The food was absolutely 100% divine. It would be hard to fault any aspect of it. There were plenty of sides served family style to go with the mains so there was no chance anyone would go home hungry. One of my guests required a special texture food due to dysphagia. Generally, it’s a case of take whatever is available and is easiest for the kitchen to prepare. On this evening however, his meal was presented in 4 separate dishes with a special dessert just for him. I cannot express how thankful I am to the chef for putting the effort into this particular meal – it really made my day.
We continued on to have drinks in the bar until midnight or so. This area was lightly dimmed and perfect for a few quiet ones.
The room was magnificent! It offered a 180-degree view of Darling Harbour with plenty of space. To greet us was a bottle of champagne with some strawberries. A good night sleep is certainly aided with an incredible mattress.
All the little things put together really made my reception the most wonderful experience – from one of the staff pushing my guest’s wheelchair to another running around the next morning looking for a phone charger for my new husband’s phone! I have to give this a 10/10 rating. If you’re looking for an elegant setting, superb views, excellent food and exceptional service, The Hyatt Regency ticks all the boxes.
G. B.
Staff are good except for one, she was careless, she was rude throwing the plate, and picking them as she doesn't want to be at work. The manager she is good, but the staff need more training and professionalism in food customer care
N. G.
Well mannered professional staff and friendly. Location close to the CBD in walk distance and rooms were immaculate room service very helpful as well as the staff. Thoroughly enjoyed dining. Thankyou.
J. S.
Honestly, a little disappointing. Desk to work is small, no readily available power. Has had some upgrades but felt not as good for working at night/evenings if needed.
C. D.
Beautiful hotel with excellent staff. Our room was small, but had all we needed and a great view of Cockle Bay and Pyrmont. The staff were really first rate.
T. N.
Efficient staff. Clean hotel, room sizes are small but beds are comfortable. Great for business trips where you won't spend much time in the hotel/room.
Centrally located. Can hear traffic from room, it's not excessive or extremely loud by any means but if you are a light sleeper this may annoy you slightly.
Bar staff friendly with a good sense of humour but the cost of drinks at the hotel bar are excessive.
It was nice but I probably wouldn't be overly enthusiastic to stay again, I do believe there would potentially be nicer hotels at the same price point or less.
R. S.
Really nice views of Darling Harbour. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room felt a bit small and outdated. For a 5 star hotel it’s room was nothing special when compared to a 4 star Mercure. The robe had siding doors from back in the day which had no safety stop so I ended up smashing my finger. The battery of the door to our room had gone flat one morning and I was surprised to see the maintenance staff bring a metal rod which he angled in a particular way so it slid under the door and opened the door from the inside. He did struggle to open for a good 10-15 minutes. Maybe a renovation and advancement in technology would help. The breakfast was amazing with really nice options.
G. M.
Stayed for 5 nights just before Xmas and though it was very busy, the rooms were very quiet. We stayed in a harbourview room on the 6th floor. Good view, very clean room. Rooms are small but adequate. Bed was quite comfortable. Unable to get to the rooftop bar due to how busy it was every night. The seafood buffet was good but with limited options for non seafood eaters. The dessert bar was lacking also. The breakfast was well set out and nice.
D. F.
The downstairs foyer is nice and staff on reception are great. It’s in a good location for what I needed. The rooftop bar is also nice, but I find their rooms a little drab and depressing, but perhaps I don’t have enough status so was just given an ordinary one.
P. C.
A awesome place to live, view from balcony is lovely. The service is very good. Food is nice, buffet breakfast system is there which is quite nice. Room are quite good with all the facilities. Everything is available nearby, you don't have to travel much. Over all very nice place for stay.
R.
Upon arrival we were greeted by staff member Sergio who was super helpful, informative , professional and polite. Rooms were clean and the hotel exceeded our expectations. Will definitely recommend to all our friends and family and we look forward to staying there again 🤗🤗🤗
D. S.
This was our second stay for our wedding Anniversary. The staff are really friendly the location is terrific, the rooms are very clean and have all that you need. We love that its a 2 min walk directly from the hotel to Darling Harbour and a 5 mi walk to the centre of town.
M.
Really nice and close to everything. I received professional service as I was staying there for an event. The breakfast was pretty good, the rooms were clean and you get two free bottles of water. They only have me one access cars to the room and I ask for another one and they were happy to do so without any hesitation. The roof bar was excellent, yes the drinks were expensive but you are paying for the view and atmosphere and you know it's safe because there is security there close by.
K. Z.
Went to the Chef's Open Table Seafood Buffet and was pleasantly surprised at the relaxed atmosphere and trendy decor. Particularly liked the lighting. The selection of food was a bit limited in some areas however the seafood was delicious and there was a great dessert selection. 1 X roast option 2 X soups a few breads/cheeses/dried fruits. The wait staff were excellent and very attentive throughout the evening. I would recommend to anyone for a nice evening out.
M. H.
The Zephyr Sky Bar is a premier, and my favourite, rooftop bar in Sydney. With sensational views over Darling Harbour it never disappoints! It was great to see Didier and his team again. 💖🍾🍸
A. O.
Great service and clean hotel...
L. M.
Clean and simple luxury rooms. Very comfortable bed! Handy having a bar inside and the rooftop bar.
J. F.
Wasn't there to stay but was there for a single day conference. The meeting room was good, a little long so the presenters needed to walk up and down to be heard but we were a pretty big group so that is understandable.
The food was fantastic, a buffet style spread with lots of variety (especially with salads). No-one had anything bad to say about it at all and I'm sure we will be back there for future events.
Thanks Hyatt Regency!
A. A.
Awesome! Super friendly, great bar in the lobby. Breakfast is amazing. Rooms are clean. What more can you want? I stay here every year so you can count on me coming back again and again!
M. S.
Excellent friendly service, central location, and hassle free valet parking. Hotel staff are always courteous, sharp and professional. Hotel facilities are extensive, stylish, and classy. Drive through area for valet parking is conveniently located adjacent to front entrance. Highly recommend for a stay in the city.
V. B.
Beautifully designed building with a stunning view of darling harbor. Visited their roof top bar which is amazing. Staff is friendly and courteous. Truly gives the luxury lifestyle feel. The bar has reasonably priced drinks considering it's a 5 star category. All in all an amazing experience.
A. S.
Staff are exceptional and overall feel of the foyer, main dining and rooftop bar are modern and tasteful. The rooms have been renovated but still has a slight dated feel. Stayed here a few times now the only feedback is regarding their club offering. I found that after 6pm and during breakfast there were not enough staff for the number of guests who had club rooms which meant not enough plates, cutlery on hand, food being restocked, places to sit. We ended up sitting in the boardroom and each seat was filled.
D. A.
Located in the heart of Sydney. I loved the big dispensers in the shower, not small bottles. I think they need a vacuum cleaner with more power because the carpet in the room wasn't very clean. Breakfast could improve as omelet’s were runny, egg not fully cooked through. Very friendly and attentive staff.
J. D.
The staff at the hotel are very friendly. The first night of our stay they had overbooked and had to move us to a near by hotel. They covered the costs for our lunch that day, cab fees, and upgraded our rooms and threw in complimentary breakfast for the rest of the stay. All of this without having to complain about the inconvenience of having to stay at another hotel for 1 night. The front desk manager has been amazing at taking care of us and making sure we were happy with the outcome and any issues. The rooms are nice and bed seems comfy.
K. B.
Thank you to Crystal, Girlie, and the entire Lounge staff for making my first trip to Sydney a memorable one. Their kindness and attention has not gone unnoticed and I am already planning my next trip back!
It’s been an absolute delight staying here and the room was perfect! I couldn’t stop loving the decor especially the sparkly walls.
To all of the Hyatt team, well done! I’m highly impressed and cannot wait to be back.
V. S.
Good place to stay and a place to rejuvenate the memories back.
R. B.
New modern hotel. Roof top bar always busy so lucky if you get in. Ground floor bar very under staffed. Expect to wait 10 minutes for a drink which may not be what you ordered. Regency lounge is great. Excellent view. Cook available to cook eggs however you want them.
S. C.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Love this hotel and could not fault anything. From the minute my fiance and I walked in we were greeted with a lovely smile. We upgraded to a premium room for an extra $110 which was definitely worth it. Our room had an amazing view, was immaculate, clean sheets, spotless bathroom and we even received a complementary bottle of champagne as we were celebrating our four year anniversary and engagement. Would definitely stay again and will tell others the same!
J. W.
My stay has been wonderful. This is all you could want for a hotel. There is nothing to be improved. The room is comfortable, spotlessly clean. The breakfast extensive (and delicious) and staff are friendly and attentive. The location is also great, overlooking Darling Harbour. I haven't tried the restaurants or bars, but I expect that match the quality of everything else.
D. P.
I enjoyed a pleasant stay at Hyatt Regency Sydney. Check-in/out was smooth as was dropping off and collecting my car from the valet service.
The room was clean, and the overall layout was inviting.
However overall, there was nothing extraordinary, no small "surprise and delight" moments that would set this hotel out from any of the others in which I've stayed - in the same price range.
D. P.
Facilities and rooms are nice. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Majority of the rooms don't have views of Darling Harbour so be cautious and specify expectations prior to booking. I booked five months in advance and ended up looking at a roof. Staff moved me to a room where I least was looking at a street.
H. M.
It was awesome once we got a better room.....The reception staff were lovely......
T. W.
Really good Valentine’s Day lunch in Sailmaker. Shout out to Kye, our main wait staff who was a very attentive yet not over the top help.
Kephir makes great coffee.
One suggestion: serving spoon with entree tower.
W. N.
Good services with nice rooms! Rooms are just standard, not much special. We stayed there a couple times before, there’s one time we complained about possibly bed bugs when we were staying at lower level next to the terrace garden. We both woke up with itchy bite marks, which we made a complaint about but didn’t get anything in return though they responded nicely.
Overall Great location close to city and the Darling Harbour. Seems like they have improved their security level by introducing key card swipe at elevators.
Make sure you check out the rooftop bar at level 12!
B. M.
Absolutely fantastic. Great location and roof top bar, (the Margarita's are amazing) delicious buffet breakfast and spectacular views from the room. Staff were fabulous, especially Pratik at check in. Clean, modern and spacious rooms. Will definitely be back soon!
K. S.
My partner and I had a fantastic stay over the weekend. We had access to the exclusive Regency Club where we watched the sunset. In the morning, we had a lovely breakfast in the same Club. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming and ensured we had a pleasant stay. We had a lovely room overlooking the harbour. One night didn't feel long enough but we felt refreshed after our quick stay, and were extremely impressed with everything the hotel has to offer. Thank you for your hospitality! Kim and Martin
J. L.
Friendly service and convenient location. The rooms however are a bit outdated; lighting is dark and dingy and carpets are worn out/appear a bit dirty - definitely expected more from a 5 star hotel. Overall pleasant stay, however, there are definitely other options in the area that would provide better value for your money.
S. c. (.
The Hyatt is a flash hotel and as you walk in there’s sweeping large counters and a high roof and you feel like you’re stepping into a classy hotel! Check in was made easy by the online process and kind staff when we got there to get our keys. We were lucky enough to receive a free upgrade to the new tower room. Rooms are flash, big and have all the amenities you need. Irons and hairdryers are there. The windows are floor to ceiling so you get a good view! We were there for the corporate fighter event which was a spectacle and the grand ballroom was perfect for this. We also experience room service, which was fast, the lobby lounge with reasonably priced drinks and also the buffet breakfast. The Zephyr bar is amazing and has breathtaking views of darling harbour. A great hotel but it doesn’t have a pool.
G. L.
First time staying at Hyatt .
Location is a great spot, at your doorstep there are plenty of great restaurants to choose from.
Checking in was a breeze staff where so frendly.
Room was clean and bed comfortable great size and everything worked.
Whent up to 12 floor for rooftop bar very nice had a drink and and enjoyed the night.
In all l will be back .
F. B.
The rooms were very good, comfortable and the most peaceful sleep. We ate at the Jackalberry restaurant which was amazing. I will be back for that burger - perfection. Truffle Mac n cheese Arancini balls, divine. So close to darling harbour attractions and great food offerings at Barangaroo. The staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable.
B. M.
Great hotel with awesome views of darling harbour. Really good customer service and clean rooms. Buffet breakfast is great with a huge range. Rooftop bar is a must see for sunset gin cocktails! Close to the city and not too far from the train station
l. p.
Centrally located high class hotel. Excellent service from the minute you step out of the car. Rooms are generous with comfy beds tv wifi access free water and all other expected amenities. Was lucky enough to get a darling harbour view room. Great roof top bar. Effortless check out.
D.
Customer service is above average, with close to prompt responses to meet your needs. The team at the breakfast buffet are super helpful and welcoming, taking your tea/coffee order immediately. Rooms are not luxurious or anything, could definitely say they're just about above average too. I strongly recommend to pay a tiny bit more and stay at the Park Hyatt. Overall, this hotel was worth what i paid for, but it is more suitable for families. Wilson parking is located opposite the hotel which is useful for visitors. The rooftop bar was a highlight of my experience, just annoying how people of the public come through. There is no pool either, making it more suitable for families or work visits.
D. L.
Went there for a few times , good seafood selections, really large king prawns, salmon , blue swimmer crab , oyster , octopus and mussels really fresh and yummy. Salad and desserts has a range of choices of cakes and sweets also. For the hot food bar , need to improve to more varieties. Also, the ice cream is only one flavour, vanilla all the time. Please add chocolate and strawberry flavours would be appreciated. The staff service are excellent at all times, would definitely recommend going there to spend an evening.
B. A.
Booked the room with lounge access. The room was nice and clean. The lounge was fantastic! Great choice of food and drink and awesome view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We decided to go restaurant before we got in the lounge but we now regret that idea and should have just stayed in the lounge.
S. G.
Centrally located, large hotel with views over the harbour. Rooms were a little small, but clean. Excellent service. Sumptuous breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for those wanting to experience Sydney life. Follow @shashigossain
M. N.
My partner and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Sydney last weekend. The hotel room itself was very clean and comfortable-the bed was amazing!
The breakfast area looks fabulous, and the service was great. The views of the harbour surrounding this hotel, both from our room and the breakfast area were wonderful. Staff very attentive but not intrusive.
Overall we had a great experience and will return!
K. H.
Owen at the front desk was excellent, the concierge Yen very helpful, the beautiful Asian women who made up our room has been here 21 years, most excellent.
We loved the fluffy white terry cloth robes.
Buffet, too expensive. Location superb
M. H.
4.5 star hotel but lacks a pool
D. M.
Just did 3 nights with Regency Club inclusions - 10/10. Awesome location and views; Super friendly and helpful staff; quiet rooms with great a/c and fabulous shower products; Regency Lounge package excellent; yummy breakfast even with make your own vege/fruit juices 👍 (carpet near lifts needs replacing was the only negative)
A. D. O.
Loved everything in our comfortable (upgraded) harbour view room! Service was great (for Sydney standards, at least) and the location was very convenient. (The buffet breakfast wasn't amazing though, and I wouldn't pay for it again...)
R.
Wonderful location just across from Sea Life aquarium and the big mall. Walking distance to The Rocks but had to use a cab for our luggage to get on the cruise ship. Wonderful restaurant with breakfast buffet
C. S.
Hotel is central to SYDNEY CBD and easy walk from Town Hall station. I had a lower floor city side room in the new extension. Good bed and shower. the Room acoustics were average (could hear outside chatter and traffic). Housekeeping terrible. I found a little gift (poo) in my toilet on arrival. When I went to work the next morning someone had vomited in the corridor.
Reception very apologetic and on my 2nd night they moved me to another balcony room- much better but TV power on/off did not work and toilet leaked continuously). But still disappointed about the cleanliness given the high end brand and price point. Need to lift your game Hyatt Regency.
g. h.
Nice location. Inside feels a bit dated/worn. My room had great harbor views ... but there was some serious dance music noise thumping on Saturday night (and my room was on the 9th floor).
Don’t try driving here. Roads are super confusing, and parking expensive.
萩.
Despite some other reviews, the overall experience at the hotel was more than satisfactory. The staff at check-in desk was exceptional. Even though the room wasn't ready yet when I arrived at the hotel at 7 am, she offered me to notify my by email as soon as it's ready. I stayed in one of the cheapest rooms in the entire establishment, but it was capacious enough for two and very tidy and clean. Room service was affordable, and the delivery man was decent.
The only con is it's a little bit distant from the nearest station. However not at all isolated from the city central.
P. S.
Stay a week ago for 3 nights after a cruise great hotel great location found everything so convenient. Darling harbour is great, night life was fantastic before the outbreak and will be again after .the staff in hotel are excellent and i must give a big thank you to Peter Brown( Concierge )who did everything he could when our flight was cancelled by B/A
K. Y.
Hotel and staff were great! They surprised us with a room upgrade, wine and chocolates for our honeymoon. We are also able to check in early. The location was great and had an amazing view of Darling Harbour. The bed was also really comfy and was the only one we've found that was a real King bed rather than just two beds pushed together.
E. L.
5 min walk to Darling Harbour. Hotel restaurant Great food & staff services.. Rooms clean & comfortable. Definitely returning.
O. i. a. p.
Was ok room could do we a revamp chipped paint and lots of dust behind desk was disappointing to see lack of thorough cleaning. View was good to overlook darling Harbour, breakfast buffet was the highlight but the vallet parking was very over priced at $90 a day. And watching the workers wear the same pair of gloves to move multiple people's luggage without changing between was poor hand hygiene.
C. G.
Okay hotel, level of finish not quite to standard shower water pressure not great, breakfast buffet not a stand out service is a expected from the Hyatt, no valet service due to covid and by the way no pool so kids loose out
d. F.
The staff is beyond exceptional.
The location is amazing and nice views from the rooms to Darling Harbour. The high tea is lovely with choices of seating and the ambiance is amazing with someone playing the piano in the lobby.
R. S.
Great place to stay in terms of location. Very convenient. Comfortable rooms, courteous staff. Giving it a 4 star only because of my experience at hotels across the globe where the hospitality has been better in terms of attention to details. Rooms only on one side of the hotel offer great views of the Darling Harbour so if you are particular on that, make that request in advance. Recommended place to stay if you are a tourist and want several tourist attractions at a walkable distance this is the place.
B. B.
Fantastic hotel, but the staff in the restaurant are rubbish at breakfast time. Everyday I had to wait for someone to come to the omelette station, this was between 5 and 10 minutes each day. The staff could be seen chatting, it was like they didn't care. I would order a hot drink with the breakfast, which was frequently forgotten and therefore had to be ordered a second time.
For a 5 star hotel their restaurant staff were 2 star standard. Either get more staff or retrain the ones you have to do the job they are supposed to do. Because of this, the next time I need a decent hotel in Sydney for 1-2 weeks, I'll choose the Hilton.
V. G.
Great location to see the sights with awesome views of Darling Harbour. Fairly clean and friendly service, however, many towels seemed to be slightly stained with black stuff. Room service was a bit slow at times, but altogether good. Windows did not open and no pool on site. Housekeeping did not always replenish what we used (glasses, mugs etc) but did leave more of what we didn't use like soaps. I've seen a lot worse in Sydney, but quite disappointed in my first 5 start experience.
P. Y.
Call it a luxury hotel but the finish product is poor. Every door in my room was squeaky and felt cheap. Maybe I expected more as the hotel lobby looks great but the rooms very average. Every time I stepped out of this nice lobby, no one ever cared to ask if you needed a taxi even though I was just standing there looking around, so I just ended up walking out to the street and getting one myself. I think they could do much better at this 'luxury 5 star hotel'. You do get a nice view of Darling Harbour.
D. W.
Very convenient location for exploring Sydney. Was disappointed on check-in as had higher expectations. Comfortable bed. Decent-sized TV. Shower is awkwardly placed and low volume. Room is quiet and there's not much noise either from the street or other guests. Had access to the Club which is worth the upgrade for breakfast and evening drinks. Rickjin and team there are very good but alcohol is only served 6-8pm.
S. R.
The darling harbour view from my room was just breathtaking! It's very Central to the city and walking distance to pretty much any public transport. The rooftop bar has a stellar view of the harbour as well. Service, as expected in any Hyatt was one of the best. Will be coming back!
S. B. (.
Hyatt was an amazing place to stay! Exceptional customer service, amazing room, stunning view and lovely breakfast. From checking in to checking out it was a pleasure. Would highly recommend! Amazing location as well!
A. S.
Purchased on Luxury Escapes website and has been the perfect post Christmas relax. Don't let COVID stop you from enjoying a safe and clean few days escape. Short 4 minute walk to Cockle Bay and Barangaroo eateries and beautiful darling harbor.
E. J.
Hotel service was excellent. Room adequate. Lovely bars and food. Would def stay there again. Probably ask for a room overlooking darling harbour. Beds were comfortable. Pillows good. Was quite noisy on street side.
E. K.
Really nice hotel in fantastic location, great if you are coming to Sydney for a few days. Its located close to everything and our room had a really nice view of darling harbor. We arrived on Friday afternoon and the lobby was decorated with beautiful flowers and there was a pianist playing live, which was nice and unusual. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Hotel buffet breakfast is fantastic, big selection for every taste - you can choose to have cold only or both cold and hot breakfast. Make sure to check out the bar on the top floor - it's a bit pricey, but a really cool place with fancy cocktails, cool crowd, funky music and amazing views!
R. Y.
Great stay. Check in and check out were seamless. The staff were very quick to give us a hand. The room was all we needed for a nice weekend away. Bed was perfect and heating in the room was great. Location made it easy to walk to both Pitt Street mall and down to Darling Harbour. Will definitely stay again!
M. R.
Excellent hotel! We stayed for one night after a cruise. We went to the hotel around 8am hoping to drop off our bags, but they gave us our room right away! There are bellhops who collect your bags at the entrance and deliver your bags to your room.
The room was a good size and clean. The maid saw us going in and gave us an extra bottle of spring water. Checkout was super easy; done on your phone and they have a key drop box.
Location is great, with virtually unlimited food options around within walking distance. Darling Harbour is across the street, and a ferry and train station are within a short 10-15 minute walk.
c. 2.
Hotel lobby, nightclub and concierge are fancy 5 star with first class amenities. The rooms however need an updating. They give an 'old' feel. Other than that it is very clean. Would go back because the location and amenities are great.
R. R.
Great location but the rooms desperately are in need of renovation/refurbishment if they want to tag themselves a 'luxury hotel' and charge accordingly. Staff are very helpful and obviously well trained. I would stay here when specials are on offer but the regular rates don't match the level of accommodation on offer. Parking at $80 for 24hours is also steep.
A. B.
Some of the rooms seem a bit run down, had one with a soaked carpet and according smell at first, was then upgraded to a tower room with harbour view, which was good. Breakfast area is nicely arranged, with good choices of food. Was never too crowded. All in all, a hotel without severe weaknesses.
l.
Never been before, I only came for an appointment.
Nice meeting rooms.
While I was waiting to go in, there was a lovely
female barista making perfect coffees.
Not many places go to the trouble of treating
you and making you feel special with a lovely
coffee.
There was fruit for us when we came out.
Thanks Hyatt Regency
T. W.
Had several company summit / events here, pretty good experience. Convenient to communte, staff are friendly and helpful. Food was great 8/10. We even had some arcade racing game machines (Steam powered DIRT 3) for after party which was great. Recommend venue for hosting small to medium sized events.
B.
The wedding reception we attended was at Hyatt Regency grand ballroom. I can not compliment enough on the spectacular waterfront view, the decorations (love love love the chandelier) and the overall ambience. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a wonderful time there.
J. W.
Had the most wonderful stay at the Hyatt. Staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive. Rooms were immaculately kept and amply supplied. The lounge facilities were excellent, canapes and refreshments served after 6pm were delectable and breakfast was fantastic.
A. K.
Only stayed here for one weekend night.
Pretty good location, clean and tidy with an amazing foyer.
Excellent service with staff going out of their way to makes things easy for you.
The rooms, although very clean and well maintained are showing signs of age and probably don't match the lovely standard the Foyer sets.
I stayed on the 3rd floor and also found the cleaners in the afternoon made a noticeable amount of noise for those trying to sleep in.
Overall more like a 4.5 star experience.
C. E.
The Hyatt lives up to its reputation! Such friendly and helpful staff. We got a free Harborview upgrade for our anniversary. Very convenient location if you want to walk into the city or into darling harbor. The breakfast buffet has a great selection and not too overcrowded. Very pleasant stay!
J.
Great service and care by the team. However, perceived room upgrade which I paid good money for was underwhelming at best and far off my expectations. I have seen cupboards bigger than the room I was provided. Perhaps team can articulate clearer to customers what it is they are upgrading to and the differences between the rooms. I will be more alert and less trusting when upgrading or offered upgrades.
E. H.
Conveniently located and nice venue with friendly staff. There's a cafe/bar inside near the concierge, and a few other shops and restaurants when you walk in further. The function rooms and catering were decent - had a presentation there once. Rooms are smallish but clean and pleasant. No complaints there. You can also leave your luggage at the concierge if you check out in the morning but still want to explore during the day. 5 min walk from both Darling Harbour and Town Hall station.
C. B.
Attended a function here in a lovely space. Food was good and layout spacious and functional. They have some lovely art on the walls making it an inviting place for dinner. The food is standard fair for a function but the desert bar is truly great.
R. G.
Was there for dinner on Saturday. Our waitress Julie provide amazing service. Will go back thrre again just with the hope of her looking after us.
Z. M.
Exactly what you hope for when you pay a premium on your accomodation. Clean and luxurious rooms, great views, great food. The staff are exceptional - great personal touch, well trained and empathetic. We will definitely stay at the Hyatt again, if only for the staff.
J. Z.
We stayed in the maritime suite which was a nice spacious room. The lobby of this hotel is splendid, especially as it was just finished a few months ago. The breakfast buffet spread was great and nicely displayed. The seating area was large and while busy not over crowded. There is great access to Darling Harbour.
M.
Went for the high tea with some friends, it was a very nice setting and staff were friendly and attentive. The desserts were great and the savoury plate was par for the course. I feel like the scones were a bit of an after thought despite the nice presentation. I would come back again.
S. Y.
Big 5 star hotel. Service and facilities very good. Attended 3 night conference. Rooms questionable. Old part of hotel quite small, new part of hotel quite small but modern and very comfortable and well appointed. Terrible water pressure in shower. For the price, I would question value here.

A very pleasant hotel with friendly and helpful staff in all areas. Our room is large with a narrow balcony overlooking Darling Harbour. The rooftop open bar has the same views. The city view wouldn't be much. It's location is resonably central. We'd stay here again.
L. M.
great place to stay. very central, easy walk to anywhere, friendly staff and great breakfast
A. F.
Hotel staff were extremely accommodating and could not do enough for me, rooms are quite good but if you are in the older section of the hotel expect that your climate control will probably not work. Room was consistently hot until they moved me to a new room that had new AC.
S. L.
The location is perfect and staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and modern but the room is quite small. Also compared to other five star hotels the food is overpriced. However the complementary list of items they provide is quite extensive. And really it is quite good for what you get ^^
N. A.
Only three nights accommodation as a guest. Room is very comfortable and great views from 8th floor over Darling Harbour.
Staff exceptional in service delivery, exhibiting efficiency and good old fashioned courtesy.
Cannot comment on food as did not partake, but friends delighted with choice and quality of breakfast.
M. T.
Very well appointed hotel. The rooms are great and the view interesting even if you are in a street facing room. Reception staff were friendly and professional. The rooftop cocktail bar has a fantastic view over Darling Harbour.
A. G.
Attended SAS Analytics conference here and the overall experience was great. The amenities are really good and Hall was very spacious and well decorated. The food was exceptional and was served at the table. The vegetarian options were quite delicious. The post conference drinks service was managed quite well. The staff are really friendly and courteous.
M. J.
5/5! For a 2 night stay at an amazing Hotel. Staff very attentive, polite and helpful. Room exceptional and the Breakfast Buffet utterly insane!! We were lucky to have a package and it was more that we could have hoped for! Thank you. F and M Johnstone

Have been meeting Clive Palmer here on a number of occasions. Can't promise he'll be there when you are, but the place is clean, expansive, well catered for and the vibe is upbeat and cordial. All good. Have enjoyed the time passed here from the enthusiastic greeting from the car to the generally stately ambience and friendly service at every encounter. Great for a business meeting but haven't tried the rooms as I'm a local. If they are as good as everything else about this place, you'll be in for a treat!
J. A.
I attended my work conference here a month or so ago.. there were a few issues during the day with technology, but we were able to deal with it at the time.
I am vegan, and there were some vegan options for me... wouldn’t say the food was spectacular, but wasn’t bad either.
The hotel itself is very grand, and has a beautiful feel to it.
L. H.
Four points by Sheraton is super convenient in terms of location. We had a great first impression walking in the main lobby. Counter service was great. Our room was upgraded to Harbour view which was awesome. Overall presentation of the room is also great. There were enough tools required for the stay except toothbrush.
It was an enjoyable experience.

Only attended a wedding for one evening but one of the best banquets one can imagine at the beautiful darling harbour. Lovely backdrop from the windows and the grand ball room has some of the most awe inspiring views while you enjoy the event. Two thumbs up!
N. V. A.
Ordinarily a 4 star hotel, however downgraded to 3 stars because of their room service breakfasts.
Two issues:
1st) Jam and condiments came in the small disposable plastic containers. Disappointing when Hyatt protests they’re trying to conserve the environment and prefer to change bedding and towels after three nights stay. The unnecessary plastic implies they’re only conscious of the environment if it’s financially in Hyatts interest. Why not decant condiments into small dishes, or use the Beerenberg mini glass pots?
2) there’s miscommunication / lack of communication / tech glitch between room service orders and what finally comes up to the room. Despite having a profile with preferences, each time my breakfast arrives it’s wrong. Really annoying way to start the day.
Otherwise great hotel, lovely location, clean rooms, staff were really polite.
D. A.
A gloriously modern yet elegant hotel with a consummately professional customer service and catering staff. The interior of the Grand Ballroom, where I photographed a wedding, was amazingly spacious, with thoughtful choice of lighting fixtures and a beautiful view of Darling Harbour. Perfect venue for a grand wedding reception. The bridal suite on the 8th floor reserved the best views of the harbour. The windows needed cleaning however, but the views were unmatched. All up it was designed with the class of true Regency, befitting of its namesake.
C. N.
Over priced and under serviced. Much more expensive than other decent hotels in the area and nothing exceptional about the stay.
D. K.
Nice, clean, modern facility with a few challenges. The bathroom sinks are not properly lit. The wifi service cost $20 per day without the option for a free basic service. There is no handicap accessible lift from the back of the building down to the dock side.
On a positive note, the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. The bellmen have a great service attitude! The location is great as well.
T. E.
Stayed here for work for 4 nights in April. I had a King room facing the car park or whatever it was. The King bed seemed to be comprised of two king singles. It wasn't 100% comfortable. The Zephyr bar was cool and Darling Harbour looked great at night from there. Breakfast choices were varied and everything I ate was quite tasty. Overall a reasonable experience.
K.
Very nice place, but, they don't put sheets on the bed, quilt only. The lounge was in very poor quality. Staff in the restaurant were amaxing. The concierge were very helpful.Have stayed there before
T.
Great service, professional and helpful staff, breakfast in the Regency room was an absolute plus! Shopping and restaurants within walking distance all you need is a good pair of walking shoes and a bottle of water for a warm day. I had an awesome time! Stayed 6 days!
E. E.
Attended a function in the large ballroom for a day. Service was good, hall was spacious and easy to find, ample seating available. Chairs were a bit small and narrow but as there was ample seating we didn't have to squeeze into seats next to each other.
C. F.
Had a 2 day meeting with work and the service, food and meeting room were excellent. The AV failed more than twice but the AV team came to the rescue every time. What lowered the score was the app that I had to installed to ask for requests and didn't work, no one responded, and the nearest toilet to the King meeting rooms, was disgusting and not really what you expect from a 5 star hotel.
C. M.
Wonderful and professional hotel. Was an overnight guest for a wedding, the function was brilliant and staff were accommodating and polite and professional. The function service was good, as there were a lot of customers to cater for and they attended our needs (eg hunting down high chairs for the tables). The view was also lovely of the harbour facing the water and a good view of fireworks on a Saturday. The hotel is in a close location to Darling Harbour (Pyrmont). The room was basic, comfy enough. The breakfast service on a sunday was very busy, with customers lining up patiently to be seated at the peak breakfast time. This is could be improved by perhaps placing more staff on, we were also waiting on tea to be served to us, whereas at other buffet breakfast is usually self service. Otherwise there was a good selection of food. A lovely hotel with professional staff
W. K.
Went for the seafood buffet. Staff were extremely helpful and polite. Arrangement of food was spread out so there wasn't much overcrowding in small areas. Seafood was fresh and refilled regularly. Hotfood table was small unfortunately. Salad bar had wide selections to cater for the vegetarians. Don't forget to save room for dessert because there's more to choose from than one can eat.
K. R.
Highly recommend the seafood 3 course meal at Sailmaker .. unf not a buffet atm due to covid but still amazing
T. N.
Great breakfast, excellant staff, standard double room with good harbour view
Work trip room booked by boss. Harbor view double room.
Got in late and ordered room service which is available 24/7!.
The food was good however i would suggest changing the chilies on the duck pizza as that is way too hot without at least a warning.
View good.
Beds are comfy for single beds but as i said nothing overly special to mention about the rooms pretty standard room that you would expect.
Bathroom felt cramped.
Plenty of potential for future refurbishment or upgrades.
The valet was attentive, professional and friendly.
Breakfast is Insane! the one thing i will say is that breakfast is one of the best things about this place, the choices are endless whether you want, fruit, pastries, cereal, cooked meal, etc. they have it just to experience this once is worth it.
If only had more time in another room and it would of been awesome, next time hopefully be able to get in earlier to have dinner in the restaurant.
Room Tip: Harbor views are a must. Go for a queen or better room.
M. B.
If looking to stay on the city side of Darling Harbour this was great, and the foyer and room were immaculate. The check in and out experience was slower than I'd expect at this calibre hotel, but not at all a problem. I did not have any need to visit the bar/restaurant or use any other facilities, though still certainly consider staying again.
B. D.
Really nice hotel, walking distance from the Rocks area and Darling Harbor with access to public transportation not far away. The roof top bar has beautiful views but can get busy on a holiday night. Friendly staff, decent rooms enjoyed my stay.
I. C.
The Hyatt Regency was a great place to stay. Had a gorgeous view of the Cockle Bay Wharf, Darling Harbour from the room. Caffe Latte from the Lobby Lounge was the best. Staff very friendly, housekeeping girls were great. They are several different lounges to choose from from mellow to rocking on various floors. 24 hour room service. Highly recommend.
A. D.
This is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed at. I have been absolutely amazed by the excellent customer service and amazing room quality. All of the staff have gone absolutely above and beyond to make my stay such a pleasant and memorable one. The location is fantastic and the rooms are spotlessly clean. Thanks so much to the team at the Hyatt Regency Sydney for such a truly magnificent experience!
J. F. A.
The place is nice, but were some downsides. The first night we tried to call the concierge to ask for a reservation and never answered. The bar on the rooftop was closed at around 11pm on a Friday, even there were signs everywhere to go there. The bar next to the lobby is a complete disaster: the negroni was watery, the whisky sour without egg white and with ice (we complaint about this one and they said they run out of egg white, and changed it for two warm beers), after certain hour they don't serve pure alcohol, like a whiskey. On the other side, the room service was fantastic, the staff from reception and bellboys were very nice and polite. The view from our room to Darling Harbour was very nice
A. Y.
We had buffet here the other night, atmosphere is romantic with live piano music at hotel lobby. It was a great start. For the Food, not enough variety, however what we had was fresh and tasty.
S. F.
This is a great hotel in one of the posher neighborhoods in Sydney. The staff is super responsive and the view of the harbor is beautiful. They have a fantastic rooftop bar on floor 12 that overlooks the harbor as well. The only thing I wish was different was the shower. The one in our room had no door, and the water pressure was very very weak.
L. S.
Have not been in a hotel room here but the conference facilitys are amazing. Very good facilities on offer would highly recommend if you have a large confrence. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the other amenities are also really well kept. The view from some of the levels is amazing would highly reccomend.
N. U.
Wonderful stay, made our anniversary a momentous occasion. Breakfast was delicious. Thank you for a memorable stay.
Q. M.
The bar is probably the best view on darling Harbour you can get. The service and staff are very friendly and discreet. The music is there but not too loud and the cocktail list is amazing! Perfect for group event or just catch up drinks
M. R.
Paid for an 'upgraded' room with the darling harbor view. The view is beautiful but the room leaves a lot to be desired! When I made the reservation months ago I had asked for our final night to be in a suite, they have no record of this and said I would have to pay more again for that option now. The room is extremely basic and not worth the money we have paid. The paint is chipped, marks on the wall extremely disappointed to say the least.
C. M.
The buffet breakfast was amazing. A very spacious area with too many things to list. Best of all was a waitress called Yamini. Keep coming back to see if we were enjoying our meal. Quickly satisfied any request we asked for. To top it off she organised takeaway coffees for the 3 of us. She definitely deserves to be commended for her service. We were blown away by it.
K. L.
Great conference facilities and event catering. Seemed to struggle with providing lunch for all participants at once, however after the initial rush settled got through it. Worth the wait as food much better quality than standard buffet style
S. D.
I was mistakenly given an upgrade to 11th floor corner room. Loved the room. And entry to the Regency club room with food and alcohol included in the cost. I was there for my daughter’s wedding, I paid $180 per night extra for the upgrade , and loved the room. My room was full of the bridesmaids and flower girls things, and I was emphatic about having whichever room I took for the four days and not having to move. When I received a call the evening before my daughter’s wedding that I would need to move to anther room, I put my foot down. I had to talk with staff , and eventually the manager , but they were always courteous and eventually agreed that I could keep the room, and even apologised for the annoyance and offered me a bottle of wine - all in all my stay there was wonderful.
B. P.
Overall I had a great stay here. The staff were welcoming and friendly and as a token to say happy birthday I received a free drink from the lobby lounge bar. Our room was in the new section of the hotel which offered a nice view and was clean too.
The bed was comfy and pillows even better. The LLB’s here were amazing. We did have a problem where we were charged for “arriving early” when we weren’t even in Sydney at the time but, this was easily and quickly resolved upon check out.
A great stay and even better location. Everything is within walk - 5 mins to Pitt Street Mall, 5-10 to Barangaroo.
J.
First time Diners. Had pre dinner drinks at Jackaby,s. Try their yummy Mocktails. Inside Restaurant , 1st course nearly demolished ! and 1 of Main Course of Kingfish cooked in butter. Easy parking across the road at a Wilson Car Park
A. M.
Such a nice hotel. Really good location, beds are super comfy, breakfast was good - had a good variety of options to eat. Would definitely stay again. Would request a higher room though so we got a better view.
C. G.
The maritime suite was lovely with a perfect view of Darling Harbour. Service was excellent and the staff were great. It just so happened we came during renovations (which look like it will be a great hotel upgrade) and therefore had a bit of interruptions. Otherwise great stay!
D. W.
Overlooking Darling Harbour from 12 stories up the view is hard to beat. Drink prices are certainly on the high side but the service is great and the atmosphere is even better. Great way to spend a lazy afternoon over some incredible cocktails.
K. S.
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff, I would stay here again. Take some time to go up to the rooftop bar, really nice view of Cockle Bay. Only downsides: bathroom lighting isn't good for applying makeup the bartender who served us on the rooftop bar wasn't very good and the drinks were overpriced.
T. T.
A little disappointing for a 5 star hotel. Great views, nice rooms, and pleasant staff. The bed was firm and the couch was uncomfortable. Powerpoints were lacking for travellers with electronics that needed charging. The breakfast was very mediocre considering the price and the staff had little understanding of food allergies.
R. R.
A nice place, pretty rooms. Stayed on the 4th floor with a harbour view and balcony. Room is attractive and with lots of lighting which was good for setting different moods. TV in room but very limited channels. The bathroom was very nice but the shower is a little small with a very modern design that is perhaps not completely practical. Full mini bar and a handy closet with a light that switches on when you open it. A pleasant stay and quiet but for a little sound from the motorway below. View if harbour at night is pretty, as you can look our over darling harbor at the lights, but you are a little too far to see a lot of the water. Overall a nice stay.
C. M.
Staff very helpful and friendly lovely customer service nothing was too much trouble. atmosphere was great, loved the piano playing. rooms were good and has a great location for king st wharf and main shops. Would definitely stay again
S. E.
Good hotel with a good roof top bar which is a great way to take in the views. Conference facilities are good, but it is a little bit of a rabbit waren which can make it hard for attendees getting around at large conferences.
S. H.
Great location right by the harbour. Room was standard, but there was a quite visible hole in the bed sheet, that looked like it had been cut. Rooftop bar looked like a trendy nightclub. Fortunately management had the sense to ensure that the noise was blocked from the rooms. Concierge was friendly, but gave some confusing directions. Guess that's just Sydney!
A. B.
You cant fault such a luxury hotel. Thank you for making our stay in the royal suite so great. We will be back
T. Y.
We attended an event in the Grand Ballroom. The aircon was next level cold and just uncomfortable to sit in for hours on end. Coffee was decent from both the inside bar and the outside cafe. Not cheap but decent.
D. C.
Overall a very positive experience. Room was clean and view of Harbour. Food was excellent. Only negative was our customer service by Adriano, who was very welcoming when we checked in. While waiting for our room however he was terse and unaccommodating. He told us that they guaranteed no access before two pm and if we had not received a text
Our room was not ready. When we consulted another person we were Told that the room was indeed ready and had been so for quite awhile, and that our bags had already been delivered. We had travelled for 22 hours, were very tired, and thus not appreciative of being mislead.
L. L.
Great location in the heart of the city with great views of Darling Harbour. Rooms were clean and was able to get a good night's rest in the large bed. Customer service was fine. Breakfast could be better but was satisfied
J. R.
Four Point, need I say more. 1) The room quality is 5 star. Very clean and well managed facilities. 2) The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have ever eaten, with a fine selection of food that will cater for every culture. 3) The location of the hotel is in walking distance of all of Darling Harbour's attractions, cafes and coffee shops. 4) The employees here are great and willing to listen to your problems and try and provide you with a solution. Overall this is a fantastic place to stay.
M. B.
Well appointed high end business focused hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a bonus view if you're above the fourth floor on the right side of the building. Check-in was a bit slow both because of a long queue and a lot seemingly needing to be entered into the computer, but otherwise no complaints.
K.
What a hotel, the entire stay was excellent.
Staff always went above and beyond to make you feel welcomed.
Rooms were spacious and tidy, sporting a roof top bar and gym.
n. c.
The hotel is in a very good location, with some good bars and restaurants nearby, The fact that the hotel is in Darling Harbour is fantastic as it is a quick walk across the road to all the DH offers and the ferries that take you to Circular Quay. The staff welcoming guests were friendly and helpful. Overall the stay was a good stay, I did find the grey décor a little depressing in the corridors, a little like undercoat, could do with brightening up but that's just my personal preference. The hotel whilst it boasts a lot of rooms didn't feel over whelmed as it's roomy and airy.
P. A.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The quality of services (rooms, furniture, facility, customer service etc.) are not satisfactory at all. There is no free parking offered to guests which means that you have to pay $70 per night for your car!!! The jockey services are very slow and its very crowded most of the times. The hotel doesn't have a swimming pool/sauna. Overall, I believe it is certainly overpriced for what it offers.
A. L.
Had a great 2 nights stay. Checkin in was a breeze. The room was a bit outdated and not very spacious. Room and bathroom were clean. Would recommend the harbour view to see the city skyline at night and a very scenic view in the morning. Location is perfect walking into the heart of the city. Lots of shops and dinning options around the area especially if you walk around Darling Harbour.
L. T.
Lovely hotel, absolutely gorgeous inside and so close to the darling harbour (literally a set of steps!) Staff were very attentive and polite. Tony the doorman/valet manager was the best, he made us feel so welcome and couldn’t do enough to help. If we stay in Sydney again, we will definitely stay here!
c. r.
We found it very clean . Reception staff very friendly. Great view . Nice and quiet in the room . Great location . Only fault housekeeping took our robes whilst cleaning our room and never supplied us with any new ones to wear on the remainder of the stay
B. M.
The hotel is very central to the city and Darling Harbour. Main public areas and bars are good. Breakfast is excellent. However the rooms are quite small and not to the standard I would expect of a 5 star hotel! No luggage rack, limited selection of teas, bedding presentation poor. It's like all the money went into the public areas and the rooms got left behind! Not sure we would stay here again considering the cost!
K. K.
Celebrated an anniversary, let them know two people were staying for the night and if they should something special then that would be great. Only one bathrobe supplied and one of everything else as if there were to be only one guest. Everything else was amazing, the view of darling harbor was just amazing. The staff were very friendly.
M. T.
Lives up to 5 star hotel rating. Went to a work function and the catering was very good and the staff are well trained in making sure guests have top customer experience from the moment of entering the lobby until the moment of leaving the building.
g.
The rooms are really poky but the location makes up for it
Its only 260/night in the middle of the city
But if u plan to spend time in the room it has a.super basic shower and airline style toilet
One annoying thing is no microwave
Overall a great experience with the service and the staff
V. B.
Helpful and friendly staff. It's located at Darling Harbour and depending upon your room allocation you could end up with the harbour or city view. Hospitality is great and all staff are very courteous and polite. The true standard of hospitality certainly shows here. Stayed at this hotel on a business trip for 3 nights. Room was spacious and had two king singles. Complimentary wi-fi was provided and had good speed. The room was neat and tidy. Bathroom is spacious. Amenities in room were good (see the photos).
Their Sailmaker restaurant has a nice variety of foods available for lunch and dinner. Beakfast is also served in Sailmaker from 6am to 10am I think, please check timings. Breakfast is done absolutely amazingly right. They have a omlette station to get the eggs to your liking and I must give credit to the chefs that are keeping up the pace to make those egg orders right in front of you. Talk about pressure to keep up the pace while people are standing around watching you cook and always smiling and greeting. Absolutely brilliant nerves of steel 😄. Hats off Chefs - keep up the good work. They have Asian, continental, Indian, Fruits, Yogurts, Breads and the usual - they have it all. They also serve you freshly barista made coffee and have a coffee machine. A juice station is also available to make your own vegetables and fruits energy drink.
The rooftop bar, Zephyr, was my favourite place to unwind in the evenings. Check out the photos to see an awesome view from this rooftop bar. They have an excellent choice of drinks available and when I say drinks I mean Scotch and only Scotch. Loved it. But keeping the general public in mind they do have a huge range of drinks and cocktails available. The staff displayed patience and were courteous while I was lost between the beautiful view, well decorated bar and the large choice of scotch I had it in front of me 🤪.
The other favourite facility available at this hotel and boy, I was surprised at their Fitness centre. It's divided into two rooms. It's located on Level 1 I think and from the lift lobby, left is Cardio studio and wait for it right is an actual Weight studio. The Weight studio has 7 pin-loaded weight machines and a full dumbbell rack with two flexible benches. How f good is that !!! I absolutely did not miss my gym for those 4 days otherwise usually hotels only have a Cardio studio and a few dumbbells. Check out the photos to see the type of machines they have. The Lite Fitness machines cover all body muscles and loved the hotel's investment into this facility. The Cardio studio is larger than the Weight studio and has bike, elliptical trainer, rowing and treadmills. Love it love it and absolutely f loved it. I wish both studios were combined but that's okay not a big deal at all. The weight machines were certainly maintained as I saw absolutely no issues using them. My only suggestion to management is to check the temperature of the Weight studio as it is like a freezer when you first enter. But as you start doing weight exercises, you start feeling a little more comfortable to take out the jumper and not freeze 😁. The temperature in Cardio studio is well regulated.
To the Hyatt Regency Sydney Management, all your staff are fantastic and you tick all the boxes - hospitality, cleanliness, facilities all A1 in my opinion. Keep up the good work.
Highly recommend it and would certainly take my family here.
H. J.
One of the best rooftop bars in Sydney. Great place to be after sunset to enjoy the harbour
S. C.
Sailmakers AYCE buffet is good value especially if you like seafood: prawns, oysters, whole salmon, crab knuckles, all readily replenished and no shortage. Also antipasti, roast (pork), copious dessert selection. Suitable for families, groups and celebrations - several birthdays the night we were there. Staff were busy but went the extra yard on birthday cake & singing. Nice touch
M. P.
My partner and I stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Unfortunately there were no bedrooms with a harbour view, but you can have a view if you go to the bar eleven. The bed was BIG!! The best sleep I've had in a long time! Bedroom big and comfy, showers great The people at the reception friendly, always smiling. The breakfast was good and tasty and on Sundays until 11 am. We got charged internet and minibar by mistake and it was fixed immediately! That was a plus! And you can walked directly to the darling harbour through the platform.
Loved it!
O. T. J. (.
Nice hotel and friendly staff. Big welcoming lobby. Nice to get a smile after a long trip.
Was busy when I arrived so had a wait even though I had booked in online and was there to pick up keys. However this was issues with customers rather than staff. Check in after that was quick as they already had my details on file.
Had a few issues using the miracast on the tv but this could have been an issue with the technology.
Overall the room was comfortable and had alot of additional options free of charge if you requested it.

As a former Hyatt Regency New Orleans employee, I was very disappointed with the level of customer service from your F&B department. I was there for ladies high tea over the weekend but were treated poorly by the staff. They were rude and not engaging. They even forgot about our coffee order, it took more than half an hour for them to bring it to our table but they did't even acknowledge that.
On the plus side, the food was exceptional!
L. J.
I stayed at the Hyatt for work and was super impressed. The room was a really good size, including work space and a huge bath plus wet room shower. What really made the experience was the Regency Club, access to which is included with a club room. I had breakfast there every morning and often used the club during the day for working. It’s a great space for working, as it’s quiet with great views and complimentary tea, coffee, sparkling water and snacks (fruit, biscuits). Every night there are complimentary beverages (including a nice bubbles and a good shiraz) and canapés (the photo shows a small tasting of what was available. I highly recommend the Hyatt for a business stay and I’m sure it would be great for leisure as well.
P. L.
Very nice place has everything you would like huge waiting area friendly staff place to eat and drink close to downtown and a 15 minute walk to Chinatown and waterfront. I did wish they had USB plugs like the Holiday Inn so you can charge your electronics at night when you are sleeping.
S. M.
Met some friends (overnight guests) here for breakfast and the staff were very accommodating to show us to their table and bring a bill for just the extra breakfasts. The variety and quality of food is well above average for a hotel and we were all very satisfied with our meals
J. M.
Only went to the bar to meet some friends and colleagues. Really nice setting, great bat staff. I'll be back.
A. P.
Upmarket hotel offering large rooms, great views and situated in a great central location. Breakfast buffet is amazing with a huge range offering. Sky bar is a fun plus, expensive but worth the treat. Great for holidays or if youre attending/throwing events or conferences.
L. K.
Nice hotel. The lobby area is much nicer than the rooms though. They have a certain "motel" feel with the bulk soaps, outdated appliances and laminate surfaces.
J. A.
Could not fault our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed a very welcome upgrade and our room overlooking Darling Harbour allowed us to have the perfect view of Vivid! Staff were all fantastic to deal with, our restaurant experience was great and the hotel is located within close walking distance to great cafes such as Vicolo on Kent Street - a must for breakfast! Very, very happy that we chose the Hyatt Regency and will return. Thank you.
A. W.
Comfortable room and bed. Breakfast wasn't complimentary, but they have a pretty good cafe in the lobby. Great location, tons of waterfront restaurants and bars within a couple minute walk. I'd recommend it.
A. G.
We loved staying here! The breakfast buffet is amazing! Great location close to darling harbour. We love the Hyatt group as they always go beyond with their service.
S. B.
Rooms are extremely small!! Bathroom is also tiny! Service rather slow and not all that friendly...For $469 per night you'd expect more!
Coffee good in downstairs bar.. Lobby refurb is nice.
B. C.
Was there as an exhibitor for a business event. It was very professionally run with lots (and lots) of friendly staff and delicious food. In between sessions, plenty of staff would flood the large break room and disassemble and reassemble food and furniture ready for the next break. The facilities and view are superb and would definitely recommend for a professional event.
J. C.
Well positioned Hotel close to Darling Harbour the major selling point but slightly disappointing given the reputation of its branding. Our third floor room was compact but has a more aged than modern feel to it. There was no door on the shower which caused some minor flooding on the bathroom floor, our towels were changed once during our three night stay, and the promised queen bed was actually two singles pushed together. I suggest if they offer you a room with harbour views then take it because the city view of the Wilson's car park across the road gets a tad droll after a day or so. Room service is , in my opinion, overpriced. A full breakfast costs $40, pizzas after 11pm $27. The Roof top bar was excellent, the staff were easy going, professional and helpful and the Restaurant was great.

I recently decided to spend the night at Hyatt Regency with my wife to mark our 43rd wedding anniversary and to witness Vivid 2018 festivities. Location is fantastic - close to Town Hall train station and a stone's throw away from Darling Harbour. Our room was immaculately clean and hotel surroundings were well-maintained. But the real treat was the friendly service from the helpful valet parking attendants, very friendly front desk staff, and very cordial, respectful but very articulate customer service staff. Godwilling, my wife and I will do it again for many years to come.
G. M.
Rooms spacious and well-appointed, I was lucky enough to get a corner room away from the lift and it was nice and quiet, stayed in December 2018, Great location, staff are helpful and friendly had no issues on my two-night stay. One of Sydney better hotels.
D. O.
This is a modern mid-range hotel in a central location. Overall, the things that matter were good - the room was modern/clean; the king bed was comfortable and the shower produces loads of hot water (and isn't one of those water-saving ones). The room had really good soundproofing - considering the hotel is next to a busy road and there was a large wedding going on in the hotel - it was still pretty much silent in our room.
There were a couple of minor things - we were offered a harbour facing room upgrade for $40 extra at check-in. I declined this, but they still ended up giving us the room for no charge - so perhaps something to consider. Also - the room is a bit dim and could do with more lights in better places (e.g. I was shaving into my own shadow in front of the bathroom mirror).
We didn't eat in the hotel, but there are plenty of nearby places to eat. I'd stay here again.

Excellent conference venue, great location, friendly helpful staff and good food. The rooftop bar is very cool. I haven’t stayed here but I’d expect the rooms are good. Convenient location.

Mixed evaluation... Beautiful facilities, comfortable bed, nice bathroom... But room service was not good. The room was not thoroughly cleaned after night 1 (e.g., empty/used room service food dishes were left in room). And the food orders from room service always failed to be complete (e.g., missing fries and silverware).

Superb check-in experience, Monique was very accommodating when I requested a higher floor. Within walking distance to Darling Harbour. Fantastic views as well if you get a harbour view.

I attended a work function at the Hyatt Regency and stayed the night as an overnight guest and the attention to detail was amazing. From the event during the day to the buffet style lunch that was served everything was organised with perfection. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and each time the service gets better and better. I always recommend the Hyatt to friends and family.

Hotel is at a good location, however the rooms are small, carpet is old and dirty. The breakfast is nasty, need improvement in this area for the price you pay. It is the same food every day. No pool.
The people working there are all 5 star, superb service and very friendly.
D. T.
The Hyatt Regency is a well situated hotel. Close to Darling Harbour and the CBD, there's some great waterfront views to be had. In terms of rooms, they're well appointed and have the usual ameneties. The beds are comfortable, TV is great and has the usual array of in-room entertainment options. The bathroom is nice, clean and well maintained. The water Pressure in the shower is pathetic. I've had better shower pressure from a leaky garden hose. The restaurant and bar are very nice. All in all, it's a pretty good hotel.
Y. D.
We loved staying here! The breakfast buffet is amazing! Great location close to darling harbour. Clean and great rooms, great views, great food. Helpful and friendly staff
A. N.
Came here for their high tea experience (offered on scoopon) the place was very lovely and the bar upstairs was great! Service overall was not so great though; It was very hard to get the attention of staff who served me during high tea, let's just say that I didn't end up getting my tea & the staff at the upper level bar just shrugged and rolled their eyes when we asked them to put the shades down.
M. K.
This is the old Four Points hotel taken over and renovated by the Hyatt. Had a great overnight stay, beautiful new foyer, cafe and buffet areas. Stayed in newly built joint tower King harbour view room and was very satisfied with size of room, bathroom, bed and decor, definite thumbs up. Will definitely stay here again.
V. M.
The hotel was great. One of the best in the harbour and has luxury with its price. It’s a bit out of budget but is definitely worth the price. Public transport is very close and though there isn’t parking, there’s a Wilson’s car park just across the street. Definitely recommend this hotel!
R. M.
Their seagood buffet was excellent and great mood for couple and family. Ladies! Pleade dress up when you go there. There were beautiful females who dress up fantastic! But not me at that time. I regreted😝😝🤪🤪 you can enjoy seafood, oysters, crabs and shrimps a lot with some western dishes. But no asian dishes😱😱

A very nice hotel that has been recently updated and changed from the Sheraton. Staff are friendly and helpful and the downstairs bar/cafe is a nice place to unwind.
I attended a function here in the main ballroom which was a typical looking hotel function room but sadly for them the staff attending the function were not very good.
Requests for drinks went unfufiled, not by just one staff member but 3 in total before we were forced to help ourselves to their service area. Half the table received meals while the other half had to wait for an additional 10 minutes despite the fact we were all eating the same thing?!
The luncheon food was ok, but the service let it down massively.
C. R. W.
We arrived early, there was a slight confusion with regards to our early check in. Sorted out in a matter of minutes but as a result we were not placed in the new tower, instead the old tower with the view of the pyrmont bridge.
Our hotel room is rather dated, safe deposit box did work (low battery), On the 2nd and 3rd night the room was hot even though we set the temp to 19 degrees it was constantly over 21 degrees.
Now for the positives. The view from our room was spectacular and even better at night. Location was perfect for us as it is center from the ICC and the CBD.
Using the phone app requesting for amenities and pillows was a breeze. Super fast from attentive staffs within 10 minutes the items were brought in. Checkout was efficient too using the app.
Overall, I would stay here again when visiting Sydney, however do make sure the AC is functioning properly especially in the summer.
Thank you Hyatt Regency my family and I had a great stay.
R. W.
Attended a work event which was held in the grand ballroom. Very spacious. Amazing sound system. Great environment for professional events. The staff were also very helpful in pointing out directions in a friendly manner.

I think this hotel was known as the Four Seasons for a long time before Hyatt bought it out several years ago and rebranded everything. They also did a good bit of renovation, at least on the lobby area so it doesn't look like what it was before anymore.
this has lots of venue rooms for running conferences and events and also a downstairs area where sometimes they run expos. There are a few grand halls which can be separated for different events, or used as one big one. the hotel is well appointed and there are several restaurants to choose from.
It's good and easy to access from darling harbour. Also there are a few carparks nearby, both a wilsons and secure parking just across the road. They have good early bird deals if you can plan ahead. Secure parking requires a booking code, while wilsons need a credit card. Which is easier to park is up to you.
So do not confuse this with the Grand Hyatt at Circular Quay which is a class higher.
There seems to be a few sandstone walls and older areas of the hotel which may be heritage, as they don't quite match the rest but have been carefully preserved. The basement is a strange place with just some stores and a secret locked area.
E. Z.
This is a great little boutique Hotel that is right in the heart of Sydney but has the feel of being a million miles away. It is a very relaxing place. If you're flying in and have jet lag nothing is better than arriving here, having a great breakfast, and then relaxing along there great harbor front deck
D. M.
We didn't stay here but attended a wonderful Charity fundraiser event.
Everything was superb including the food.
Situated close to the city, Darling Harbour and Barangaroo, it's a great place for visitors to stay.
Very impressive.
For locals, there are two parking stations across road in Sussex St. Very convenient.
M. M.
Great room, I had a harbour view without paying (much?) extra. Excellent location accessible to the city and Darling Harbour. Free WiFi should be standard everywhere but at least it is included here.
h. S.
Zephyr roof top bar was amazing as usual. Very crowded so if u want a good spot head in early. Getting drinks was a bit disappointing as the 3 bar tenders were serving one side. We even asked after 15 mins can we get served next but were refused!! After 20 mins we went to the manager to order drinks. He apologised for terrible service and then made sure all of the sides of the bars were being looked after. Fireworks Sat 9pm which were really amazing.
M. F.
Fantastic service, from when we pulled up, to when our car was brought back out. The breakfast was amazing and accommodated our 1 year old without any issues. Pleasant staff and an attention to presentation ensure we will be back
B. H.
Stayed in new area of the hotel. Room was ok for a business trip. Door to bathroom was installed wrong and their was an leak from the shower head. View from room was quiet nice. Location is also pretty good. Good deal if on sale.
A. I.
The location is amazing. The rooms are very nice and spacious. I only gave it for because the front messed up. They said they would split the king size bed buy when we arrived from going out at 3am it wasn't done. We had to tell them and they did it quickly but it was really annoying.
D. S. M.
Pretty awesome restaurant with some nice food and ambience which is really close to the city with a beautiful view. The function rooms are also really cool and elegant to use as well. The interior decor is quite inspiring and thought provoking
V. Q.
The Hyatt is conveniently located on Sussex street which is a short walk to Darling Harbour and Hyde park. The lobby, restaurant and bar area give a 5 star hotel feel. However, the rooms are a bit old and on the small side. The hotel is facing Darling Harbour and I would recommend opting for a room with the view of the Harbour.
Location: 5 stars
Rooms: 3 stars
Amenities: 3 stars
Service: 4 stars
Pros:
Location is great
Easy to get a taxi or Uber
Service is good
Cons:
Mediocre gym
Rooms are below average for the price
Breakfast buffet is not very good
J. S.
Attended professionally to shoot an event. Parking is non-existent ($80 a day at Wilson Parking across the road!), lots of long corridors, stairs and escalators before you get to any event rooms, making lugging gear around a little annoying, the rooms are spacious but there is a severe lack of utility with respect to mains power - you have to add some seriously long extension leads to do anything more complex than theatre seating and camera on the side. Rooms have good light, with touch controls for blinds etc, projectors are reasonably bright but a touch on the noisy side and can't compete with natural light. Stage lighting is great and can create a suitably corporate moody feel to your events. AV systems are good overall. Difficult place to access (but it's the city, not exactly the hotel's fault). Wouldn't be my first choice but I'll grant that they've got loads of space to hold events. Hotel staging staff are very efficient with room changes, and overall the hotel is clean and very quiet when you want it to be.
R. Y.
Amazing changes since the renovations. The buffet breakfast is amazing with a huge variety of food and the overall atmosphere and service is amazing. Stayed here and has a 2-day conference - they have an amazing range of conference rooms - from Grand ballrooms to smaller meeting rooms to cater for all sizes! Would absolutely recommend this hotel! Extremely convinietly located with a convience store just across the road and a 5-10min walk from King street wharf! Such a shame they took away the seafood buffet!
K. M.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Hyatt Regency Sydney. The room was clean. The rooftop bar Zephyr has the most amazing view of the sunset. Highly recommend!
J. H.
The great hall (where they had the wedding reception I attended) was absolutely stunning. Fully equipped with anything a bride would want for her wedding reception. Food was delicious and the staff we're extremely polite and helpful.
S.
Good Conference facilities. Exciting buffet menus with a wide range of veg and non-veg cuisines. The ambience is very good and the service desk is very helpful. The restaurants are spacious and relaxing. It's in the heart of the city between Wynyard and Town Hall and has a good harbour view from the top.
A. B.
Perfect location for the hotel. Easy walk to darling Harbour area (1 minute walk). Rooms are neat, and fairly spacious. My room was insanely hot and air conditioner did little to cool it.
A. D.
Great experience -fantastic customer service and facilities. I ran a conference and Gala dinner there and I am so ad I chose tbis venue. The Maritime Ballroom we had has floor2ceiling windows facing Darling Harbour which is great as it provides natural light during the day and spectacular backdrops for evening events. The hotel itself is huge. From the lift into the new tower it's a bit of a walk.
I got upgraded to a club suite which is a corner room in a round-ish shape. Very spacious and again those windows! Beds were comfortable and room and bathroom set up nice and clean.
The breakfast was included and the offer amazing. Breakfast is also available at the club hyatt lounge on level 11. If you have access.
On level 12 is zephyr a rooftop bar which is open to the public but can also hired for private functions. The lobby bar is also a good place to go to when the rooftop closes.
All in a i had a very good experience and would always come back for conferences or guest
A. C.
Stayed for a week. The rooms are a little small if you are on a long trip and have two suitcases each like my wife and I did. The rooms are really nice though. We had a great view of Darling Harbor. Would stay here again.
E. S.
Was just here for a seminar. There was a great finger food buffet before the event and the staff were very attentive
The room was well laid out with multiple big screens that could be seen by all. The audio was clear and easily understood.
J. S.
good stay overall, covid protocol in place for everyobe. only complaint is visible dusts on furnitures and decors
S. M.
Very much a 5 star hotel, super fast and friendly service, great food, amazing view facing the Sydney Harbor and great decor. With most 5 start hotels you pay for everything, no free breakfast or coffee in the lobby, but hey if you forget your razor that's free! If you want to be pampered and have an amazing view every morning this is your hotel!
L. W.
Love the views, staff was great. Within walking distance of the opera house and botanical gardens. Right on the edge of downtown with Chinatown, shopping, and plenty to do very near by. We never had to wait for a car even though it was raining half the time.
A. S.
This has got to be among the most unethical hotels I ever stayed in. I had a room booked for three nights with me arriving in the early morning of the second day. They first gave me a room which seemed to have got just vacated by an early morning check-out. They apologized and took me to another room, opened the door and there was a guest still sleeping in it. They simply didn't keep a room for me since previous day and tried to make money out of it. I wasted one hour in the morning with them trying to find a room for me and then they provided a room on a lower floor. They did try to make up for it by offering me complementary fresh fruits, couple of bottles of sparkling water and a bottle of cheap white wine. I don't even like sparkling water and white wine. My room was unmade for most of the time. In fact the room service didn't even bother to make the bed when they delivered the wine in my absence. No cleaning service till late in the afternoon of third day. The hotel manager didn't even remove the sparkling water from the room even when I asked him to. I would never stay in this hotel of my own volition and I hope not to get made to stay here in future. My recommendation - avoid Hyatt at all costs specially this one.
C. T.
2 years in a row I've stayed in one of their rooms when I've planned a big night out in the city for my birthday. Always been taken care of by the friendly staff and the rooms are always well kept. Not too expensive for the night and a decent view of the harbour (depending the room you get) Simply can't fault it.
T. S.
Hyatt regency is one of the best hotel chains. I completely loved their hospitality. The rooms are decent size. This hotel is placed right at the heart of darling harbour so going around the place is very easy. There are some good restraunts and malls nearby and one can just walk down to the harbour.
A. T.
Stayed 3 nights in a King Room with Darling Harbour Views, loved the view. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a Darling Habour getaway. Great breakfast offered in hotel restaurant. Also has a funky rooftop bar with amazing views at night
M.
Mid-market Hyatt with rooms that are clean and modern but uninspired. Nice views on the Darling Harbor front side. Regency Club has good breakfast and cocktail hour options although too vegetarian ones. The gym is not in good shape.
K. L. (.
I attended a company function in their grand ballroom. It's quite nice and spacious. The view over Darling Harbour is great, except that the sun comes in later in the day and blinds everyone until they close the blinds.
The function logistics went well.
The drinks offering was okay, nothing special, just ordinary. You might ask for a drink from the wait staff, and they will forget your drink when they come back.
The food offering was pretty good compared to some previous venues, but I suppose we had expected more from a luxury hotel.
The noodles were nothing special. The sushi was nice, but a very limited selection.
The Indian offering was very lame. I'd consider it confusing to only offer a single vegetarian curry.
The Mexican taco was forgettable, but at least they had a meat and a vegetarian option for the taco. Something they were unable to do for the Indian curry.
The Spanish paella was the tastiest of all the offerings. However, it did seem to be spiked to the brim with white wine. Lovely seafood and chorizo.
Very tasty.
Cloakroom staff were courteous.
Pretty good overall compared to other venues, but when you consider it's supposed to be a high end luxury hotel, you might expect more.

I had an amazing stay in the NEW Tower. Beware when you book! Some people I was traveling with were not in the new tower and had a completely different experience than I did. My room was literally BRAND NEW. Very modern decore and spotless. It didn't look like anyone had stayed in it before. In fact, the rooms on either side of mine had plastic on the carpet around their doorways as if they were still under construction -- but I didn't hear a sound the entire time. Possibly the quietest hotel room I ever stayed in.
My room was a King Deluxe Suite with an amazing view of Darling Harbour. My only complaint was the outside of the windows were too dirty to take good photos. They should have the windows washed more frequently.
Also, I had no luck getting the TV's Screen Mirroring feature working on any of my devices. Great idea for a modern hotel room like this, but I couldn't find an Android or iOS app that would connect to it. If they would just use a basic Chromecast instead of whatever system they're using I'm sure it'd save their guests a lot of trouble.
S. B.
Great place for a conference. Rooms big and clean. Roof top bar is excellent with views out to the blue mountains across the darling harbour
T. C.
Attended the Sailboat restaurant for their seafood buffet. It was quite cheap for what you got, but also wasn't perfect quality but you can't expect that for the price. The fish of the day was great (Barramundi) as was the salad and dessert selection. The seafood however was maybe 7/10, prawns could have been fresher, muscles were dry and the crab was flavourless. But overall not a bad experience, just won't be returning.

The Hyatt Regency Sydney is exactly what you would expect from a 5 star hotel, luxury. Situated in a very convenient and beautiful part of Sydney, we upgraded on arrival for a small fee and was able to grab a Premium Darling Harbour view room. This room was worth the upgrade with spectacular views of Darling Harbour skyline. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and had a great bathroom and room layout. The bar is a very modern space that is a good place to go for a drink or a bite to eat! Thanks for a very pleasant stay!

Pros:
*Room was prepared at time of arrival at 9:30am - way ahead of usual check-in time. Baggages at drop-off were also sent to room directly. Much appreciated.
*Clean, modern rooms with comfortable beds.
*Friendly, helpful staff all around the hotel.
*Excellent location, especially for Christmas/Boxing Day. Darling Harbour for a nice walk, Martin Place for the Xmas Tree and Pitt St Mall for the crazy bargain sales, all just a short walk away!
*Luggage drop off before check-in available.
*Great price point for what you get.
*Regency Club had great views, service and food options. Canapes also included enough food options to fill you up for dinner, if you so prefer to. Breakfast options were satisfying, with egg chef on hand.
*Rooms were well equipped, with all standard inclusions.
Cons:
*Sky Bar was closed during Christmas Day - a huge shame as I'm sure many customers aside from myself were very looking forward to the great views in the special day. Advanced notice of its closure would have also been very helpful in this regard.
*Only one toothbrush set was prepared in the room, despite booking being for two adults. Was easily fixed by a call to concierge, though.
*Elevators were un-intuitive. Full elevators would repeatedly open again due to customers requesting an elevator - one would hope the elevators would ignore the lift button when practically closed to avoid these situations. Crowds would form and idle elevators would stay idle as a result.

we went for lunch at saphire on level 12 the seafood was amazing and the cocktails are five star also, very unique.
standouts was the seafood, oysters was the best i have had in so long.... and the sashimi was up there to. almost forgot about the must have lobster spring rolls.
very modern and stylish atmosphere with a top view.
C. H.
Conveniently located to nearly all restaurants and bars in Darling Harbour.
Rooms are spacious, we had a balcony view of the harbour and it was spectacular.
Came to Sydney for wife's birthday, briefly discussed it with check-in staff and a birthday tart was brought up within 5 minutes of us getting to the room without asking. Will definitely stay again.
K.
Excellent. Service never fails, the breakfast was great and the rooms are always very clean and welcoming. Hyatt is my annual holiday so I am excited to come back time and time again.
R. J.
Excellent hotel, well appointed and great service. Slightly odd layout can mean a very long walk in and out of your room. Location is at the western edge of the city so not that convenient to most business locations.
R. T.
Visited the restaurant for the seafood buffet. Food was fresh and tasty. Seafood options included prawns, oysters, crabs, mussels, salmon, octopus and tuna. Large variety of salads and desserts available. If you are not a fan of seafood there are only limited hot options + 2 soups available.
b. c.
They have valet parking, room service 24hrs, close to all the main attractions in darling harbor. Great views. Customer service was above and beyond. Definitely a must stay hotel
B. B.
Great rooms, especially ones with views. It's a huge complex, and some rooms can be quite far from the lifts, but it's fine. The outdoor roof terrace bar is lovely.
A. O.
Had dinner and then up to roof top bar for view and a drink. Restaurants was attended to regularly so service was good. Food good. Try to be at the rooftop bar for when fireworks are on at Darling Harbour.
A.
Very happy with our stay. Stayed 1 night Saturday. Excellent location.
Comfortable bed and pillows. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Self Parked in the wilsons car park opposite the hotel redcomend this as it’s nich cheaper than the rough the hotel.
Reservation team on phone were very helpful and professional.
Will stay again, recommended
c. b.
Absolutely lovely hotel. They incorporated the old wool sheds into the architecture so beautifully. Purpose built meeting/conferencing facilities, very slick. Haven't seen the guest ropms, but the lobby areas are lovely.
S. C.
Seafood buffet at the Hyatt regency is top notch! The selection isn’t huge but the seafood is very fresh and sweet. The baked salmon and (huge) shrimp are my favourite. Enjoy the atmosphere. Staff are friendly and attentive.
C. G.
The room I stayed in needs a little love. Chipped paint, broken fire evac sign (missing the instructions), missing battery back on the tv remote and the lack of USB sockets shows that this needs an some TLC. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is within 10 min walk of a train station and is right near darling harbour.
R. C.
I was only there for one night but the room was very nice. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean and tidy. The restaurant and bar area all looked very nice and were overlooking the harbor. The staff was very helpful and amenable.
N. C.
Clean rooms, though limited utilities (no microwave, no hair dryer, just electric kettle). Breakfast has a good selection, but can become a bit chaotic whenever tour groups come through. Staff are helpful and professional.
T. G.
The Valet parking was great for the city. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. They hosted our business event professionally and it was a great night all round. Thank you
