W.Pretty good stay all round, except the bar wasn't open during the days and times it said it would be, and there was no kettle in the room and it took much more of a fuss to deliver one to the room than one would have expected. Also the phone in the room wouldn't actually call reception, it just gave you a dial tone. Still, it was very clean and the bed was actually really comfy.
The kids loved the pool and little play equipment area. For the price, it's not a bad joint.

Love the place and distance to City Centre is slightly above 10 KM.

I. M.What a fabulous find- a pet friendly very reasonably priced accomodation in Canberra!!! The room was great and the surrounding bushland perfect for walking our dog. As a last minute Covid safe alternative to staying with family it was perfect. Despite being in NSW it's very close to Canberra CBD.

C. W.Room was spacious, clean, new and comfortable. Bathroom was massive and had great facilities including an excellent shower! Kitchen in apartment was well equipped for our small family.
Breakfast was soooo busy, and perhaps that impacted the quality of the food. Only one type of egg (soggy scrambled), toast was just warmed bread, milk for cereals was long life milk so tastes a bit funky. Hash Browns were a winner, and the bacon was fine.
Would recommend for families, and small groups.

The bunk bed rail was broken, the “king size” bed was simply two single beds pushed together, however it was a problem as one was shorter than the other. The mattress quality was quite poor with sore backs this morning as a result. It was a budget room for a budget price. It was warm and somewhere to sleep for the night. The gentleman on the front desk was lovely.
S. B.Stayed here for three nights in a standard king room with a large king bed and bunk beds. Pretty basic decor and furniture but the beds are comfy! Fairly clean to the visible eye but an occasional dust behind furniture would be good. The facilities on site (gym, pool, pool tables, bar and restaurant) are all open and the pool is of a decent size. The sauna is currently closed due to Covid.
In our room, the facilities provided are: a fairly big double wardrobe, fridge, TV, hair dryer, kettle and an iron. The en-suite has recently been refurbished and looks great. Watch your head in the shower though if you are over 5ft!
The reception staff were friendly and although the hotel is technically in NSW, it won't take you long to get to where you want to be in Canberra. Good for a short break!

We have been visiting for roughly 20+ years and its great to see it still being as good as it always was. The birds, bunnies and kangaroos give it a cute, country feel. The restaurant has been changed and the food was excellent! Very happy. Will be back again soon!

Bathroom smaller but had been upgraded and nice and clean. Microwave was a great bonus for heating wheat bags for kids. Very happy and great price just before Canberra. Would happily recommend

D. P.This is my 3 year coming here to my personal favorite resort. This is also my favorite resort because the whole resort is NEXT to a highway but is as quiet and peaceful than any other resort I've been to. This resort doesn't need any improvements. Last year 2019 to 2020 and the year before 2018 to 2019 my family come here for new years eve. This is my 2nd year in a row coming here. There is also an Awesome variety of delicious breakfast. The room service is perfect and the beds are super comfortable. The bathrooms are updated very nicely and is layed out perfectly for a resort family room. In 2018 my family had one room with another room with 18 beds connected to the main room, we didn't know about that and we didn't get charged any extra money for a added room.
E.Stayed here for two nights and the reception was lovely enough to stay later for us to check in. Although there was a bit of a language barrier.. we were told the fitness centre would be open as well as the pool but found out the next day that they were not. Also we were told checkout was at 11 am & we had housekeeping walk in at 9:30am. Not a huge deal but it still would have been nice to have a warning. The bed was oddly way too soft to sleep on & the heater is obnoxiously loud & not super effective. Over all it was still a decent stay.

Only comment was the take away menu we were told would come to our room but short staff we had to get it ourself and it was hard with a young child but overall a great stay!

M. T.The reason I'm giving Eaglehawk a 5 star rating is based on the following as I stay here regularly for work.
Reception are friendly, accommodating, informative and attentive to travellers needs and wants. Reasonably priced, but check during parliament sittings as Canberra books out and rooms are expensive and hard to come by even here.
Rooms are clean, warm/cool depending on the season, reasonably priced, with newly renovated bathrooms.
Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner, not sure during lunchtime. Menu is limited but has something for everybody. The food is delicious and doesn't disappoint. Also a bar attached if you are inclined and prices aren't bad.
Location is just outside Canberra just off the highway but is surprisingly quiet during the night. Lots of local wildlife visit the grounds so expect to see rabbits, kangaroos and lots of bird life about.
If you want a more relaxing, less sterile and pretentious environment, then this is the perfect place.

B. M.Absolutely stunning. Just outside of Canberra on the federal highway. Has pool, bar and restaurant as well as another bar and restaurant 50meters down the road. 15 minutes to the city and has over 100 rooms. Excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

D. J.We stayed at the Ibis Stymes Canberra Eaglehawk 29th Dec - 1st Jan 16. It was in a good location easy drive of 10-15 min to the city away from the hustle and the bustle. The hot breakfast was good and worth. TV's didn't work well. They had instructions for the digital tv. the Key board was not set up. Rooms were serviced daily but there were obvious things that could have maintained well and updated. Room did have a bit of a musty smell. There were few wasp nests in the foot paths that we have to be careful of. There were plenty of wild life to see Kangaroos, Wallabies, Parrots, king Parrots, Rabbits, other small birds. We would come back to stay and expect to see some improvements in the rooms.

T. M.We stayed here just passing through recently and I wasn't too impressed. In the end I had to resort to soaping up outside the shower and jumping into freezing water to quickly rinse off. The amazing cobwebs behind the toilet had clearly been growing undisturbed for weeks if not longer.
