Read the reviews on our drive down and was bracing for disappointment… but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, had a great view, spacious bathroom.
More of a studio apartment with a partition rather than a one-bedder, but has everything you need, and the location is great. Even a cute little balcony.
Will definitely be coming back.

It is perfect for a beach relaxing vacation, It is beautifully appointed unit ,the room was ample size, the bed super comfy with luxe linens and the views from the ocean front balcony were gorgeous, close to all restaurants and facilities, i would highly recommend and definitely go back there again. 😊

Great spot but totally over priced, had the 2 bedroom apartment, looking very tired. Pool needed a paint and tiles missing, spa wasn't working. Gym was closed (not mentioned on website).
Wouldn't come back ☹️

Staff were very friendly and fast, the room sizes are worth the money, and the views are just perfect.
only recomendation would be to renew some of the rooms features (stove was a bit rusty, tv isn't smart one).
But overall the experience/price is very worthy.

OK place to stay, didn't expect a building site on check-in which was disappointing. Rooms are ok had a loft room with bedroom on a mezzanine floor, two bathrooms 1 up 1 down with shower over a shallow jacuzzi bath. Bed is comfy rooms are quiet with nice views over the pool and estuary
A. W.
Welcoming and pleasant staff. Nice and clean rooms with fully functional kitchen and kitchen wear. Great pool and spa with lounge chairs, umbrellas and tables. On the heart of the entrance
J. M.
A great place to stay with the family. Beautiful views. Great pool. Excellent service at check-in

I have stayed here for 2 nights and booked an extra night. I have no complaints at all. My room is clean, not dated as some have stated., friendly staff too. I would not hesitate to come back again. Great views as well..
J. 8.
Not bad for the price, spacious room comfortable bed with a nice view. I'm guessing they are taking reviews on board- our furniture wasn't dated like previous posts and they were currently painting the inside. Shower was below average. Lovely reception staff.
S. F.
Loved the place, not very clean but it's a good package(view, location, price etccc)

Good - Fantastic location. Great venues around. Bed was comfy.
Bad - Floor in room felt like there were large cables or lumps under the carpet throughout whole room. Also quite a strong bad smell coming near lift, probably just wet with recent rain??
Asked for a note to be put in room for 10y anniversary was told it was done, it wasn't.
S. I. W.
Spectacular view of Entrance water front. Room was small & compact but u want for nothing. Could have been cleaned a lot better on a hygienic level but clean otherwise. Spare linen didn't smell very nice, still smelt like man sweat,so went and bought my own. As my room was managed by Century 21 Real estate agents I don't hold the Oaks responsible for any of the cleaning issues but the real Estate being under their management. Though a view at $110- a 🌙 night in off season ,I was still happy as.!!! The hotel amenities, front desk, parking ect were fab.

Wondering and friendly service from Brianna! Hotel is showing its age, but the view is superb

A bit old and outdated but it does the job and it is comfortable enough.
We booked via Airbnb.

We stayed there for 2 night. There is no doubt that location is awesome just in the heart of town. Staff was good in service. We got lake with swimming pool view which was awesome. However I had some issues with the service. We got room at level 4. One of their lift button to level 4 was not working and they did put note on it. But it was very annoying. Whenever you want to go up or down we always used get the faulty lift. To get another life, someone has to go to that faulty lift and they we can call another lift. So literally each time we have to wait for more than 5 minutes for the lift. Second thing was the issue with TV. On their Hisense TV remote it was mentioned NETFLIX and YouTube but when we press that button it wasn't working. When I contacted reception they said that only few rooms had smart TV and unfortunately we didn't got smart TV. So in the evening when you return to your room we didn't have anything to do except watching local TV.

Cute little costal town and clutter free. Friendly locals. Clean and friendly eateries.

Very friendly and helpfull staff members the gas meter man allways has a good experience here

Beautiful spot for a weekend getaway. A very lovely roof top pool area and nicely appointed room. Great for shopping dining out and beach. You can also take the kids to feed the pelicans along the waterway with a fair and rides and small water splash park in close proximity
F. S.
3 star is a streach. 2.5 probably be correct. That's only because of its location. Everything else in this hotel is Old and dirty. Not sure how long they haven't upgraded anything in the hotel. There is a weird smell through out the place.
K. P.
Beautiful location on Lake. Specious room with Lake or ocean view. Very comfortable bed, neat and clean room, balcony, lovely roof top pool, free Wi-Fi spa and gym. Great for dining out, walking, shopping and near beach. Kids enjoy to feed the polican and play area, reception staff very helpful and polite, ample parking.
E. D.
was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room💩 Bed side light n/w No cold water! That's probably why the washing machine doesn't work??? The shower fitting is about to leave this planet Carpet anchor strip showing through carpet, don't let baby crawl around. Coat of paint would be nice? Apart from that it's a great place to stay, I realise you must get 'all' sorts of people and I can imagine what you have to put up with. We shall return!!! Thank you!! PS defrost fridge and get rid of water in freezer box! Cheers👍👍👍
L. L.
Very convenient and the room is of adequate size. However, it's clearly dated and the paint, carpet and other furnishings need some revamp to keep up with customer expectation. Can do better.
T. H. F.
Stayed here the last 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay.
There is free parking in council car park off Duffy lane right behind the oaks.
Booked a one bedroom apartment with ocean views.
Now the one bedroom is not really a one bedroom it's a big room with sliding doors on two sides making it separate. See my pictures.
Yes the hallways and carpets are hideous and in need of redoing but you don't sleep in the hall do you??
Not much cable TV and the free WiFi was hit and miss for my phone but my partners was OK.
We stayed room 312 and the dryer isn't working properly but was on the first night weird!
Bed too hard for me but might suit other's.
But overall the view was fabulous and was right on the water and above restaurants and lived watching fishing and prawning!
Kitchenette had toaster jug pot pan cutlery utensils coffee tea n baby milks.
Aircon was fabulous.
Overall I loved it and even though I was sick with a bug it was so beautiful and relaxing from the verandah.
I'd go back again but you shouldn't advertise as 1 bedroom instead say a bedroom behind sliding doors and a few foxtel channels.
But fabulous overall thanks.
Ps try fonzierellis downstairs excellent food I'll attach. Pizza downstairs and restaurant upstairs also the Indian restaurant up the road called coastal heaven I'll attach some pics.

An Amazing place to stay, beautiful views, perfect location and peaceful surroundings

Room was clean and had a nice view from the balcony
S.
Great price, friendly staff, room was clean and spacious for a studio. Bed was super comfy and huge! Would 100% stay here again

Nice cozy place easy access to beach and kids play area
D. K.
Seems to be a bit of a family hotel. I traveled for work, and there were kids running around in the room above me until way past 10:30pm, so be mindful. Also, no hot water from the shower in the morning & both my colleague and I experienced constantly running cisterns. The room was comfortable enough, although a little tired looking, but all the expected amenities were there. Location is great for access to restaurants.
J. L.
Oaks is a great place to stay at especially if you have kids, great location, the room was a good space and covienantly had a washing machine and dryer which came in sooo handy. Downstairs there is so much for the little ones to do and heaps of options for food!
S. M.
Amazing location, very convenient and has great facilities like heated pool and spa. The gym is tiny and very basic. It's an older building but it was sufficient. Friendly and welcoming staff. Superb view in our apartment and good size for a small family.
Excellent parking facility but no direct access to resort. Lifts were a little slow but understandable for age of complex.
A. J.
This place is amazing, don't go just by the bad reviews may be the service wasn't great back then but now they are pretty good. Although yes, the carpets are not great but other than that the rooms are clean and huge. This place is definitely worth a visit they have amazing view from the rooms. They do not have room service everyday so if you need supplies for coffee, milk, tea, sugar etc yiu need to go down to the reception and they provide you with it. And if you're planning to stay for a week or multiple days they have stoves for cooking pans and kettle, oven and all the amenities required for cooking in the room. They have a huge fridge as well. There are a lot of good restaurants near by and all just below the resort. I highly recommend this place. And I'm looking to come back here very soon.
C. M.
Clean and tidy friendly staff 😉😉 good views of the ocean 🌊
K. P.
Reception good, secure parking a bit odd, cost $15/night. Rooms neat & tidy, full size fridge plus microwave. Bathroom leaves a lot to be desired, 600mm step up into bath/shower. Washing machine, you need a uni degree to work it plus it is rusted out. Great balcony with view to balcony across the street. Good surrounds with direct access to kids playground on shore front. Big TV.
Good bed, noisy first thing in morning.
H. L.
Came here for a few days and stayed in the Loft. Nice room good view but the carpet needs a regular clean uo. It felt damp and slightly sticky to the touch. In saying that the SPA on level 2 was awesome and so was the pool. the staff were really helpful.
A. H.
Very friendly staff and free undercover parking across road. We stayed in a 1 bedroom water view apartment. Views were amazing from lounge room and balcony. Full kitchen, full size fridge and large tv. Spacious bathroom with washer and dryer. Comfy queen bed and large living area. Huge heated pool and spa. Older apartment block that does need a cosmetic update but overall we had a lovely 4 days. Only negatives was the spa was too deep and we found it difficult to get out of, as was the shower over bath, especially for older guests. Disappointing that smoking is allowed on balconies.
J. B.
Comfy clean spacious room with well equipped kitchenette, good sized bathroom, balcony which in nicer weather would have had nice water views...but unfortunately weather was very windy & rainy...so view was just 'grey'.
Pool area was nice with heated pool & jacuzzi.
Resort balcony overlooked neighbouring residential apartment block. Most of those balconies were full of clutter & not nice to look at.
Resort is close to shops, beach & lots of cafes & nice coastal walks etc ..so location is good.
M. C.
We had a wonderful night at the Oaks. Kitchenette made life so easy when getting takeaway. Fully stocked with everything you need, hot plates, microwave, cutlery plates toaster etc. Staff were very friendly and happy to help, room was well cleaned, no fear of getting covid19 so soon after lock down ending. No complaints
K. C.
Beautifully positioned at The Entrance to Tuggerah Lake with very friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately apartment 103 although positioned at the front is dark and rather dreary with tired fixtures and stained carpet.
F. T.
Older hotel, clean room and excellent views. Right on the waterfront with good restaurants within 1min walk.
Only fault is the shower. Barely wider than my shoulders and no higher.
m. h. (.
Unfortunately, this place my favourite for years we used to come up here all the time, best location, atmosphere, service and the pool with the spa.
With covid we came up here after easing the restrictions to find out the pool access was closed.
Although, they have their main attraction is the pool when you book.
All other hotels and places in the Entrance we enquired had their pools open.
We will wait until they ease the restrictions more
A. G.
We stayed in an unserviced studio room; it was clean & nicely decorated. We had a kitchenette and laundry, which we didn't really need for our short stay, but would be really useful for longer trips. Great location, right near the pelican feeding, as well as shops & eateries. The staff were very friendly & helpful. There is a free public carpark just across from the resort, which was handy!
H. C.
We stayed for two nights in a studio apartment (room 515). The hotel is extremely run down however still functional. Our washing machine was covered in rust at the front and some lights did not work (probably not a great environment for kids). The hallway was depressing but the room was bright and airy. The staff were lovely and must be exhausted from the lack of care/ maintanence provided by the hotel group. Intriguing clientele (shopping trolleys in the hallway).
Not worth the price but OK for a last minute booking.
J. N.
Stayed at this hotel, I found the staff on check in to be nice. The hotel is probably not 4 star it feels like more 3.5 or 3 star as I have stayed in plenty of 4/5 star places. That been said the room we stayed in was nice it did feel old it was clean and we had a good view. Also some carpets need to be cleaned in the hall ways they do seem very dirty small things like that make a difference.
R. A. D.
Loved the view of the ocean. All it needed was a proper clean.
C. L.
Views are amazing
Bedrooms are average
There are fights in the rooms almost every second night
Hallways are below average
Honestly with the location you would think they would make the oaks actually look like internally but nope.
Otherwise great location Close to the beach close to all major shopping centres and beautiful views
B. G.
Great location and good size suite. Tired room despite minor revamp. Gym and spa not open!view of car park and extraction vents puffing smoke and stinking of oil!
A.
Mixed feedback here- location was excellent. The place had everything you needed, incl pool. The swim up bar wasn't open the whole time. We had balcony water view room. Parking was easy and free in council multilevel at the back of hotel. The hotel needs some real TLC, and upgrading. Bed was comfy enough
Disappointing points- blanket for bed had chunky stains on them, also the toilet didn't flush properly. The shower is over a spa bath but very dated and so small, not worth it. Bathroom floor was so tacky when we got there! Cleaners must have rushed through it felt.
B. A.
The main upside of this Hotel is the location. It is perfectly located. It's at the heart of The Entrance. The view from my room was unbeatable. The staff were very courteous and well informed. Excellent location.
However, the downside is that the place is run down and needs a bit of face-lift badly. If you book the hotel based on the photos from their site you will be met with disappointment. The carpet was uneven and lumpy.
L. B.
Needs a whole new update & revamp. Old, felt dirty & old furniture. Good location though, right on the esplanade where there was heaps to do & places to eat. When you book just know you pay $15 to park in their building per day extra. Also it's hard to find front entrance as Maps takes you to the Hotel.
l. b.
Stayed here for 3 nights the decor is a bit tried, however the great staff and the views are worth it. Located on the water and close to the shops. Well worth the stay.
B. W.
The Ocean View room was spacious. With a great view of the water. Would have been better with a spa bathtub.
The washing machine was out of use in our room, luckily we did not need it.
TV was a tad small with limited access to movie channels.
Pool area was taken up by a group of 20+ individuals with music blaring, kids running around, and females smoking Shisha, which was a bit of a disappointment. They took up all the seating in the area, kids had overtaken the Spa.
Overall happy with the stay.
J. A. I.
The building is nice and everything is mostly in good working order. The staff were helpful and the environment around it is very useful. There is a pool and a small gym near the poo accessible from floor 2l, as well as direct access from level 2 of the attached parking deck to level 1 of the hotel. It's also not a new building and it does show wear and tear, plus in the room we are in, for example the refrigerator has no working light and isnt cooling well, though it's sufficient for overnight with the coolers and ice packs we brought with us. Overall, I like it and would recommend taking a look at it if you want to stay at The Entrance. It's not new, but it works well.
L. H.
Good location, friendly service, huge rooms and huge bed, however building is quite dated. It also wasn't spotless clean, a large hair was just behind the sink when I arrived and on the floor, the kitchenware also wasn't perfectly clean either. Balcony was nice and quite big, has views of the ocean (not waterfront but close). Has gym and pool but quite old and small.
M.
Stayed 3 nights. Kids Enjoyed pool, spa, the roomy 2 bedder we stayed in. Room service didn't come at all. Same sheets, towels for 3 nights. But we delt with it and didn't complain at the end. Overall I'd call it an OK experience.
b. b.
For only $130 per night with water views it represents great value for money. The room was a bit tired but again the view and the price certainly makes up for that. Room was comfortable and quite. Beds comfortable also. Is set right in the middle of a good variety of restaurant's and coffee shops. Parking is $15 and is a bit of a squeeze in the car park. Overall a cheap and comfortable stay and will certainly stay again.
A. M.
Along with many other businesses, Oaks The Entrance is obviously suffering a downturn in business. This is reflected in restaurant and bar closures, the rooms and hallways need some refurbishing and staff has been cutback to save costs. But ten points to the staff that are there, particularly the receptionists (night and day time) who went above and beyond in customer service. Well done and I hope things improve...
S. P.
It's alright. The location is perfect! Everything is walking distance or a short drive. However...
The ocean view room we first got given was NOT ocean view, but staff did fix this up for us quickly and painlessly.
I found the price to be fair, however the rooms are in serious need of an update. The carpet was old and covered in stains. The styling was also very old, and everything had a well used look and feel, like the bath tap half dislodged from the tiles exposing rust and piping. The lifts and corridors had that really musky damp smell with an overpowering lemon cleaning agent smell to try and cover it.
The view from the ocean room was great once we were moved from one overlooking a rusty old building. The car park is probably worth the $15 a night if you're worried about your car in the public carpark. However with an AWD vehicle like mine with a poor turning circle, the ramps to go up and down levels are a challenge!
The swimming pool for those interested was quite impressive, warm and clean 👍And although I didn't go in the gym (Why would you on holiday?), It seemed pretty good fr the outside!
All in all, it was again... Alright. I wouldn't recommend it strongly to someone, but wouldn't expect your experience to be bad if you're fairly easygoing. If I were to visit the entrance again, putting the fabulous view and location aside, I would personally look elsewhere.
I. L.
Great location right on waterfront (hence the name I guess). Room was basic but clean and well presented. Reception staff were friendly, polite and knowledgeable about local area. Outdoor pool was great too. Would stay here again!
T.
My husband and I had a great stay, very friendly staff Sarah was very helpful at all times. Clean rooms. Great views. The only downfall was sofa bed was not comfortable at all to sit on. (Need just sofas) Overall would recommend.
E. H.
Really in need of a revamp. Beautiful views and we did enjoy our visit, and I wasn't going to complain when I was being hosted by family! However... we were on a floor that construction work was being done on everyday from around 7:30, plastic and plaster dust on the floors, the top (unreachable) windows in my room leaked, splashing rain down onto my face on a stormy night, the furnishings looked a bit stained and shabby, there was a cigarette butt left on the no smoking balcony, the pool bar was unused and rather rusty... The staff seemed nice enough and the pool itself was great fun, with a baby pool for littlies a great addition. I think Oaks has a really good location and great potential but it's pretty lackluster at the moment. Hope to see it blossom into something a bit more special and lovingly maintained.
A. J.
Check-in took half an hour as it was a long weekend and they thought it'd be a good idea to put 1 person on reception.
Whole place is in need of maintenance. Carpet needs to be replaced as it was filthy and stunk.
r.
Great modern accommodation whether it’s for a weekend away or long holiday. Situated in the heart of the entrance, making it accessible to restaurants, shops, beautiful beaches etc. Community car park located in front of resort, making it very convenient. Nice pool area with gym facilities but because not very big, it gets very busy at peek periods. I’m saying that, why would you spend your time by the pool, when the beach is at your doorstep, literally. Been there several times and can never get sick of it. Btw a must try is the pizza shop downstairs “Fonzireli”😋
Z. Y.
The view is the only thing that gives it any star, room maintenance was poor, showers that don’t hold up, handles broken.
Late check-in 2pm and early checkout 10am which seems unreasonable and the $20 charge for being half hour late to give the keys back.
E. H.
Friendly staff great location! Not far from the pelican feeding. Beautiful sunrise to see at hotel balcony ocean site. Unfortunately there was a play ground in front of hotel and this was used by children quiet late which was a little bit disappointing.
G. T.
We arrived to a spotlessly clean Studio Apartment with a glorious view overlooking the lake and ocean. The apartment was comfortably furnished. The first evening we called reception to tell them the light on the balcony was out and within 20 mins Maintenance was knocking at our door to fix the problem. Amazing! The staff were very friendly. Choice of eateries great. The public car park so close to the rear of the resort was very handy. Because this was a short 'rest break' we didn't visit the pool but look forward to doing just that on our next visit which is already in the pipeline...this time for a 6 night stay!
There was only one small personal dislike I had and that was the aroma of breakfast cooking which floated up and through our 5th floor open balcony door. We would have closed our door if it wasn't for the pleasant sea breeze.
K. H.
The location of this resort is what sells it, right on the waterfront and just a short walk away from heaps of shops and things to do. Fairly clean, if a little dated, and access to a good pool and spa. However if you pay for an Ocean View room, make sure you get it! Our first impression was low after being booked into the wrong room and having to move. But worth it for the view and location.
N. A.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was clean and tidy. The location of the resort is amazing. It's within walking distance of the main shops of the Entrance. The kids loved that there's a playground right in front of the resort.
S. R.
We arrived at 2pm.for check-in and had to wait 45 minutes to do so. There was only one clerk on the front desk and a line out the door. We then went up to our room to discover we were only given one key and it didn't work. Back down to the front desk and back into the line I went. Not cool. The sliding screen for the balcony had been removed and was sitting on the side of the balcony.
The room was reasonable and had enough space for my wife and I and our two kids. However the dining table only had three chairs.
Location is great and there is a free multi level carpark just outside the hotel.
We had an ocean view room but it was on the first floor. View attached
K. R.
hotel was beautiful, I only rated 4 stars as pool and spa were closed and we wernt informed when we booked which was disappointing. The staff were great and the location was perfect. close to beach and restaurants.
E. A.
Stayed in a studio room with my kids. It was very hard to locate the hotel as address on website is different so had to call the hotel to get correct address. Upon arriving, adjacent car park was packed, so after driving in car park up and down for more than 40 min, then another 20 minutes to park in the 5 min parking, I had to leave my kids in a 5 min bay at the back of the hotel, while I waited more than half an hr for check-in as adjacent free parking was full and I couldn't access the hotel parking which was $15 per night, until I checked-in which was terribly inconvenient especially with kids. The hotel is very outdated, fridge door wouldn't close, toilet flush not working and blankets just disgusting. Room had one bed and lounge but one has to pay $44 to open the lounge into a bed. There's a $75 bond upon arrival and one has to pay $2 per extra towel you need and you have to throw out your own rubbish upon leaving. Otherwise, location was great and close to everything and girls at front desk were very friendly.
F. 0.
Nice rooms. Great views if lucky to be on front side. Peaceful and quiet even with the pool below your balcony. Have been many times and would recommend. Polite staff.
J. L.
Friendly staff and good sized comfortable rooms. Stay was for business out of season and found that during the week there is very limited number of restaurants open, especially later in the evening. Having a small restaurant for breakfast an evening mean would have been very beneficial.

Stayed a couple of nights with my wife and 2 kids under 3. We were in a 1 bedroom apartment which was handy with 2 young kids. Our room was overlooking the rear lane which is not great but acceptable.
The room was clean and the decor was practical and functional, and has aged well considering. Bathroom was ok too, although the combined bath/shower stall is tricky to get in and out of.
Aircon was working well, which was handy. Hallways leading to rooms were a bit dark and clinical and could do with a refresh.
Good value for a stay, with reasonable room and facilities
k. a.
This time im loving the view loving the night life ..booked the deluxe studio nothing was left other than that but i wasn't disapointed at all the water view the lights everything really beautiful..juts letting u know if u wana cook anything get ur own pot n pans lol
A. S.
Great central location, most amenities provided, loved the children's pool and spa. Our room wasn't serviced, almost everywhere you walked the floor under carpet was bumpy, we weren't warned about the construction happening to the building, which started around 8 every morning.
P. H.
We got this booked in an offer where we got 2 nights stay for the price of 1 night which was amazing... I was reading the reviews which were quite negative.. So my expectations wasn't high when we reached here.. But to my surprise, we loved our stay here... Yes, I agree the carpet in the hallway and the rooms has to be changed.. And yes, it's definately not a 4 star hotel.. But the rooms are quite spacious with amazing view.. The location of this hotel is quite good... The staff also are extremely friendly... And yeah there is free parking available next to the hotel.. So no need to pay 15 dollars to park in the hotel... Overall we had a lovely time in Oaks Waterfront...
A. O.
We had a beautiful view from our oceanfront balcony. The bed was comfortable and the motel room was clean full. The only downsides are you have to empty your bins to the main rubbish room and they charge a $75 Bond.
e.
Great Prices, Nice room. Double bed is literally 2 singles pushed together you can definitely feel it when sleeping which I found a little weird. Clean rooms, slightly outdated. Overall okay.
T. M.
Room was clean. Staff friendly. Location was very handy. Did not use the restaurant so cannot comment on that. The building needs to be made modern as it is really showing its age. Overall the stay was pleasant.
J. C.
Had Valentine's Night. I stopped off to drop balloons. For the room. As I entered the room the staff gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. Something special. The staff are always amazing there. Very professional and always accommodating. Thanks
E. R.
Amenities are complete. Make sure to get a sea view room as the views are lovely. The pool and the jacuzzie were wonderful as well. This would be the best place to stay if you are interested in the pelican watching, which is an awesome experience itself.
R. S.
The Oaks Waterfront Resort was a real find. It has a wonderful location on the waterfront with magnificent views. The apartment was very comfortable. There are many restaurants within easy walking distance. Another drawcard is the daily feeding of a resident pelican population in front of the Apartments. Very friendly and helpful staff.
A. g.
Staff are great and super clean 👌
J. N.
It's a dated venue. Be careful if you're staying next door to long term residents and partiers. The walls are very very thin. Location is great though.
J. A.
I was very disappointed that our room was moved from 3rd floor to 1st floor( room wasn't cleaned due to reduced staff). Nice view, room was clean & comfortable.
J. G.
Excellent location

Really full house equipped with microwave, fridge, washing machine and dryer, small bathtub, TV, sofa, dining table, balcony seating.. really fantastic ocean view
K. M.
Great place for a holiday

Great location right near the water. Oaks The Entrance.

Stayed at this hotel, I found the staff on check in to be nice. The hotel is probably not 4 star it feels like more 3.5 or 3 star as I have stayed in plenty of 4/5 star places. That been said the room we stayed in was nice it did feel old …
A. K.
Very good location.. Close to Cafe n restaurants. Friendly staff.
Waterfront apartments few ocean view rooms available with kitchen and laundry facilities
J. M.
Great ocean view
M. A.
Clean. Nice view. Since it's just accommodation no in house breakfast place. But there are other different food places in the area. If you want to get a breakfast there's a cafe that opens early
C. H.
Great spot, but confused with the lift buttons covered with dirty contact, who r they protecting the buttons or the guests
A. B.
My home away from home. Staff remain the BEST. Heated pool is always PERFECT. Keep up the great work. Love it.
S. M.
Top location in the centre of town close to everything. Our room was big & had everything we needed & although it wasn't quite fabulous we were happy with it for the price. The shower was great & we could see the water from our balcony even though we weren't in a waterfront position. The Tv has both free to air & Foxtel & we had a kitchen with fridge, microwave & a washing machine in the bathroom. The pool & spa are impressive & brilliant at sunset & open til 9.30pm. There's a basic gym that's locked unless you get the key from reception. Parking in the hotel is $15 a day or there's free parking in the public parking station outside the rear exit. We'd stay here again because it's in the heart of town, the rooms are ok, the pool area is very nice & it's reasonably priced.
C. R.
Clean and comfy. Good price. Friendly staff. Great position, near restaurants shops, beach all walking distance. On our stay again list. Some have great views..

Very dated however extremely clean and spacious. I feel the price is a bit much for what you get. Amazing veiw and location. Staff very nice and helpful.
I. B.
Nice place to stay Nice views good eating down stairs clean in a good part of town reasonable prices good parking
M. G.
Good location on the esplanade. Functional, spacious rooms with cooking facilities and large ensuite. Good value. Needs a bit of a facelift (which I think it’s currently getting, given all the scaffolding!) as it’s a bit tired and worn.
B. C.
Good place to stay and have a relaxing holiday. Easy access to cafe's, restaurants. Nice play area for kids.
V. R.
I'm not sure how they're rated 4-star. They need a serious renovation. Strained carpets, chipped paint, green and yellow kitchen, cheap laminate kit set furniture... Not impressed. Bed and pillows were comfy.
M. M.
Room was clean although very dated. Gorgeous view to the lake. Although not worth the price. A lovely wee town with fabulous restaurants
V. M.
Booked loft apartment given studio room not happy was relocated after two nights rooms are showing their age and no room service and apartments are not serviced daily.
N. C.
Great location, view, room. No parking was a worry, however there's free public carpark right outside which is fine most days. Fridge didn't work. Pool overrun by general public using it.
C. B.
The room was very average. When we arrived at check in we were charged $75 which we were not informed of prior, to hold in case of any damages. They stuck us on the first floor even after requesting a higher floor room. Parking was not included.
I. H.
The accommodation had good facilities. Unfortunately, the pool was so full of children we could barely get into it... Not very relaxing and quite disappointing. Otherwise, friendly staff and would maybe be nice out of season.
A. T.
Poor customer service. Being run by 18 year Olds. We asked for an extra blanket for our 2 year old and the cold rude response we got was that if there is a spare room at night, only then they will arrange one otherwise they can't do anything else.
Dusty and old carpet.
Excellent location
B. “. M.
Is aging but centrally located. Rooms large with some great views. Receptionist needs to polish her creating and sound like a recording. The welcome is very critical to the whole experience.
l. m.
Really nice rooms. Spacious. Close to everything.
The owner Bernadette is fantastic.
A.
Nice hotel, the furniture in the rooms is a bit outdated specially the carpets. Overall, excellent spot for a nice view overlooking the ocean, fishing area closeby.
S. E.
Stayed for 3 nights the room was reasonably clean and spacious. .we had water front view from our balcony..very central and close to all amenities , restaurants ,beaches.will recommend anytime.
M. E.
I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay staff where friendly room spacious if I had to be picky just up date the mattress and washing machine and dryer but that’s not a huge disappointment i recommend this place for families and a romantic weekend away
A. O.
Brilliant location, so much to do. Free parking next to hotel. Pelican show and children play area. There's restaurants cafes and bars and the pool at the hotel ia great too.
N. E.
Rooms were nice with the exception of the bed been to singles put together, the reception was Lovley and helpful. The only negatives are the hallways looking sad and the spa heater was broken
G. C.
Thought i was value for money considering the price i paid in off season. Close to the water and pelikan feeding. Plenty of food and drink options by easy walking. Well suited to families. Overal nice place to stay if u want to get out of Sydney overnight.
P. C.
Great Hotel, great staff, amazing view. The only problem is the cigarette smell everywhere you go, from the car park, corridors and especially the balconies. Went to have a nice drink on the balcony, however, the people below were smoking and the smoke and smell came up and violated our space. Disgusting habit.
E. A.
Stayed in a studio room with my kids. It was very hard to locate the hotel as address on website is different so had to call the hotel to get correct address. Upon arriving, adjacent car park was packed, so after driving in car park up and …
E. W.
Great views from the ocean view rooms which should no surprise. Right in the centre of everything and walking distance to numerous great restaurants.
C. W.
Nice hotel with good customer service. Enjoyed the staying. Surrounding also beautiful.
A. P.
Location is great. Decor is OK. If you don't like the hustle and bustle from the esplanade, then search others.
Pricey, but they know they can get away with price cause of the waterfront.
H. (. i. F.
Really full house equipped with microwave, fridge, washing machine and dryer, small bathtub, TV, sofa, dining table, balcony seating.. really fantastic ocean view
C. P.
Service from the staff was very professional, however the hotel has seen better days. Generally clean and tidy, but well beyond the need for a renovation.
S. L.
My family and I stayed here for 2 nights in a loft room with an oceanview. They staff were friendly, the room was clean and spacious. We would definitely stay here again.
G. B.
Fairly standard serviced apartment with good view of the ocean. Mostly clean. Kitchen equipment is reasonable. Excellent location.
R. J.
Nice hotel , room are great and just a elevator down to Ground floor to go to shop are entrances
A. P.
Location is great. Decor is OK. If you don't like the hustle and bustle from the esplanade, then search others.
Pricey, but they know they can get away with price cause of the waterfront.
D. M. G.
Went for a little birthday getaway with my mum who is elderly - THE SHOWER AND BATH ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE FOR THE ELDERLY. Great location and rooms are clean and comfortable.
D. L.
Overall it's clean. Stayed here last week, we noticed the slide door handle was broken we told the staff and they only said we cannot do anything about it.
A. K.
Very good location.. Close to Cafe n restaurants. Friendly staff.
Waterfront apartments few ocean view rooms available with kitchen and laundry facilities
S. T.
Rooms are dated and I think they take liberties with the use of “resort”
Close to restaurants.
Overpriced for what you get.
I don’t think I would recommend this for a romantic weekend.
V. R.
Very convenient location, however the hotel requires upgrade. Facilities are clean but bit old. Not very competitively priced for the condition of the property.
A. D.
Very nice hotel. A bit stingy, no towels and you can't get anything extra for free. A bit outdated by the location and pool are amazing. Pool is always full.
F. E.
Recommended I think it could have been cleaner, and you have to take your own trash to the community rubbish room. I think for the price this is a bit off but overall we had a awesome stay and staff were lovely
K. O.
Great location and rooms.
M. L.
Looks nice on the way in. Great location central to pretty much everything in the Entrance. The view is great although the rooms are very dated.
F. R.
Stayed for a night. The room was clean and had a nice view. Not overpriced for what it was and there is a variety of restaurants to eat at for dinner
M. A. A.
I had great fun at The Entrance, the place is beautiful and 3 nights at the resort were awesome. i loved their facilities especially the swimming pool. i would definitely go again if i get a chance.
M. G.
One night stay only. Expensive even with discount for off season. Good views on ocean side room. Took over a week to cancel the security deposit on our credit card.
A. B.
My home away from home. Staff remain the BEST. Heated pool is always PERFECT. Keep up the great work. Love it.
A. G.
Good location on the entrance, a min or so walk to the btfl pelicans and the numerous play activities for kids , nice spa and pool , lots of fishing spots nearby for families as well as a quite beach near by but the building is old and not clean , smelly lifts.
P. O.
Great location but it is in need of some repairs and upgrade especially around the pool.
S. G.
Beautiful views! Nice clean rooms a bit dark in the lighting department, else fantastic
C. G.
Stayed in an unserviced appartment. Staff were friendly and helpful, telling us about the free parking available. Good location for the pelican feeding.
V. B.
It has deteriorated. No mini bar. Rude young lady at desk with a big bum and bad attitude. Fee for an extra towel and none provided for pool. Needs a makeover. Restaurant shut. No room service.
G. H.
It was very clean and friendly
장.
Best view from the room!
J. P.
Nice rooms with a good view, could do with a face lift but facilities are adequate for what you pay
R. G.
Friendly staff, perfect location. A little run down but still good. Nice pool
J. K.
Excellent front desk staff. Changed room for our convenience. Right in among the shops loved it
M. L.
Great location and amazing views
L. B.
Great room and location but did not like 15 dollar parking fee when there is no other place to park and really did not like having to empty own rubbish bin and take halfway around building to a disgusting overflowing bin, not what you expect when you see Resort in the title!
P. D.
Great location on the Mall, rooms and hallways a bit tired but OK, very good outside pool and spa, good place to stay for the right price, secure parking extra but free council multi storey parking next door.
R. E.
Great place to stay lots for kids around hotel rooms are nice pretty clean BUT massive cockroach problem outside 🤢 pool is amazing great hot tub good service and good price overall pretty great place 👌🏻
P. S.
It was super fun for the kids especially the oldest he loved the pool it lit up at night and also a view of the lake, I loved it and my wife too:)
h. m.
The hotel was great the views and the bathroom wasn't that clean not to standards, the microwave didn't work, the TV was only pay TV.
S. T.
Great place to stay, beautiful distant views, large swimming pool, close to shops, restaurants and children's play areas.
S. B.
Stunning view, room abit out dated, no TV near the bed, very small TV in the lounge room. Thick dust on top of the paintings
R. B.
Wonderful hotel in an awesome location. Although one of the rooms smelt like cigarettes, other than that, it was an amazing stay
C. H.
Perfectly situated on the waterfront. Friendly staff and nice rooms. We'll be back.
J. S.
Lovely location, beautiful sunrise, plenty of history, needs a refurb but still comfortable, quiet and clean
E.
Stayed at the ocean view. View was gorgeous and the bed was comfortable. Had no issues with room service.
R. O.
Very Comfortable rooms & clean too .It was close to the water& the shops ,we are thinking about going again. 😊😉
B. G.
Positives
Location
Negatives
Was given a room at the back on third floor with view over back lane and carpark
Badly needs a coat of paint
Carpet and paint in hallways very tired
Shower very hard to get in and out of
As in the high sided bath
A. L.
Nice place. Few things need a little attention but overall...nice
This is the 2nd time I've stayed here so I was good enough to cone back again
C. H.
Great spot, but confused with the lift buttons covered with dirty contact, who r they protecting the buttons or the guests
D. E.
Good do with upgrades and cheaper rooms and more options regarding room services
T. n.
Clean, cosy ans special
We got see view so it was the best
Would book again definitely
Y. Z. Z.
The place is a little run down but great value for the price. It is a short stroll to the pelicans and kids play area which is great for young families.
E. G.
Better than we imagined, a really magical view of all around.
B. G.
This place is really run-down. The treadmill doesn't work. The spa is cold.Kiddies pool is cordoned off. Everywhere you look maintenance is needed. Really disappointing
D. F.
One of our families favourite places to visit and stay a few nights. Love the pool, probably a little cold though
Z. T.
Amazing location great facilities and food. Rooms were clean and serviced well and customer service was great!!
E. W.
Great views from the ocean view rooms which should no surprise. Right in the centre of everything and walking distance to numerous great restaurants.
B. S.
Room was dated but still nice. Great view and super friendly staff.
a.
Clean room but hotel staff looked like they didn't want to be there. You have to pay if you want to use the internet and you have to pay if you choose to use the hotel parking.
C. K.
Beautiful room and location. The staff were lovely and very accommodating.
D. R.
This is my happy place. Nothing can ever stress me out when I'm here. Best staff and facilities on the planet 👍
K. F.
Great place to stay for couples with or without kids. Good place to fish and enjoy the scenes and the kids can play in the park
D. P.
Location and views from the waterfront rooms is great, however the hotel is very dated and it shows, stained carpets etc, also one side of the bed was broken, one of the lifts was out for a day making getting anywhere was difficult and sound insulation between rooms isn't ideal but mostly decent aside from loud conversations or kids.
A. K.
The staff was absolutely amazing, the room was in wonderful condition! Perfect for our short stay!
S. R.
Corridors are pretty dated but actual room with waterfront view was amazing. Everything you would need for a great stay
G. K.
Good rooms can be some noisy young bloods on a fri and sat night. Good staff.
S. M.
Great location and easy!
S. G.
Magnificent location decent and ckean place and very friendly staff. Parking is convenient and free council parking is across the back entrance.
D. K.
The Resort looked fairly new in pictures, but it was pretty old building. Other than that all good
C. W.
Nice hotel with good customer service. Enjoyed the staying. Surrounding also beautiful.
A. V.
Really close to shops, entertainment & restaurants great view of the beach & the rooms were very clean
J.
It isn't incredibly fancy, but it's quite adequate. I stayed here for work, and found the staff accommodating and the location very convenient.
S. G.

J. J.
Good bang for your buck.

Great little place to getaway with the pub so close. Terrific views from the front units.
S. R.
Pretty standard rooms, great location close to the water, close to boardwalk, plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.
p. s.
Good spot to stay rooms good corridors etc a bit tired unfortunately I don't know if it was just mid week and winter but lots of closed shops and cafes so a little disappointing
B. S.

Nice rooms, a very helpful staff and great location, room prices are reasonable
E. J.
Nice pool but no bbq facilities but very close to shops
K. J.

G. g.
Great views. Rooms a little old looking but still very clean. Good for pokemon

Carpet floors, small kitchen, small smart TV, nice aircon, overall highly priced for something so lacking in quality.
P. O.
Bit old looking now, but rooms on the eastern side have great views of the lake and ocean
L. C.
If wasnt for the rude receptionist on the saturday night of the 5th of january 2019, would be 5 stars !!
