Great hotel and the staff were awesome, always giving you a friendly smile whilst offering good service, rooms are lovely, nice and clean. The rooms aren't big, just big enough to be able to be comfortable. Pool was amazing for the kids with a heated spa that was a perfect temperature and the slide was great. The hotel is attached to a remarkable restaurant and a pub that has a talented local singer on some nights. Fantastic experience for anyone that wants to visit Hawks Nest!

This is a budget friendly, low-frills family option for a hotel. Easy access to the beach. Pool is a good size and stays busy especially during the school holidays. Staff were accommodating. The rooms are dated, but they cover the essentials. 10 minute walk to the local IGA and bottle shop. Short walk to the beach.

We had a really nice time. The place is really cozy and wwll kept. Staff is always helpful and kind. Many amenities. Suitable for families or for those who need some time to enjoy the beach, pool, kayaking or simply chill....Highly recommended!

Awesome hotel. Good service, rooms are lovely, nice and clean. The rooms aren't massive but just big enough to be able to comfortably relax. Great pool with heated spa. Also the hotel is attached to an amazing restaurant and pub. Amazing experience!

The room was clean and spacious. It has a kitchenette and a separate living room for dinner. It's very close to the beach although there's no ocean view. There was a live music from late afternoon to around 11pm so it got a bit loud. But it's relatively quiet afterwards. Good value for money.

5 star service. If I could rate higher I would. Lindsey was extremely helpful and provided above and beyond service. Last minute booking with after hour checkin. Had the room prepared for us, light on and heater going. Extremely pleased with my experience, I highly recommend. Facilities above expectation, complementary coffee and tea, pool area with slide for the kids and courtyards. Bar/Cafe attached and 150m to the seaside. Close to IGA and bottle shops Will absolutely come and visit again.

Rooms were comfortable and well equipped with a full size fridge, fresh linen every day was a bonus with 3 grand kids. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely come back.

We had an amazing stay. Host was so welcoming. Little pit stop on way back to the city and what a gem. Hawks nest is definitely worth a visit. Ocean Side great located, right on Bennett's Beach, great amenities, rooms small but clean air-conditioned TV Pool bar restaurant downstairs We loved every second Thank you guys.

Had a wonderful stay with my friends. Lindsay was friendly and helpful. I stayed in room 105 which had a beautiful spa and a HUGE balcony. My friend chose a room with a hot tub. As fun as that was I would suggest the Balcony and spa bath.

Stayed at the king room with spa for 2 nights dec 21-22, nice view from balcony and 3 min walk to the beach, benchmark restaurant downstairs is great. I’m a clean freak so while I was sanitising the room I found a strand of hair on our small bathroom towel placed near the spa with the toiletries tucked inside and many more strands of hair on our bed sheets, when we got into bed we noticed there was a gap between us so we looked under our mattress cover and there was 2 mattresses next to each other to make a king sized bed 😂 got woken up early by the sounds of the trucks unloading stock, overall I understand this is a motel not a hotel these are just small things that can be fixed to give a better experience to the customers.

Basic motel room was exactly what we expected. Great place with a pool, spa, free hire bikes and surfboards. Very close to the beach and on top of a great pub. Loved staying here.

Very welcoming on arrival, slight miscommunication about room but that was fine. Great house keeping, fresh towels and bin liner everyday.. Very informative staff, Janine gave us fishing advice for the area and where was suitable to take our son! Lindsay was easy to deal with and great to have a chat with..Overall a great experience and will definitely recommend Oceanside Hawks Nest to friends and relatives. Can't wait for our next trip.

Stayed in the spa room and it was just amazing. Large space and large bathroom with spa, perfect for getting out of the rain. The outdoor spa and pool also looked amazing but sadly with the rain I could not personally enjoy them. Great location also with a quick walk to the beach and the bar downstairs.

This place was terrific for the two of us, as well.as for families. Close to the beach and clubs. Music in the bar at night happy hour from 5pm till 6pm. Pool was very clean heated spa and a slide. BBQ was always very clean,great spot to relax. I would definitely go back again.

We had a great experience at the hotel. From the booking to check out - everything went smoothly and the stuff were friendly. We had a voucher that we used and paid a bit extra for Public Holiday surcharge - as stated in the terms. The room was clean and warm, the decor outdated with a few holes in the couch upholstery, but overall not bad. Good value for the money and great location.

My favourite holiday stay. We come here about 5 or 6 times a year. Value for money cannot be surpassed. Great, trustworthy and friendly staff. Free bikes available to keep up your fitness or just laze around the pool, or enjoy rooms with private hot tubs. Free BBQ area and lots of shady areas for those hot days. Prices are incomparable for service offered.

Great location and venue for dinner, drinks and live music. The rooms are good for a quick stop over, however ours was a bit dirty and no shampoo or soap in the dispensers in the shower. Other than that would have been a great little motel.

Paula and Karen very lovely and accommodating. Pent house was nice and had all necessities for 8. Small room is sufficient enough for 2 people not the Ritz but clean and private Jacuzzi awesome and view of ocean just 2 min walk up the road is priceless....hospitality great and best pizzas @ pub adjoining Oceanside. IGA down the road with good coffee,bakery and newsagency etc and coles 5 mins away @ tea garden....nice quiet spot to relax

My family stay there on a regular basis & am extremely satisfied with our experience. I see from previous reviews people have criticized the quality of the accommodation, this is not a five star establishment it is cheap & cheerful, for that I give it five stars as the accommodation rates match the accommodation. Excellent restaurant & bar close to beach.

The bedroom is a bit old, but clean and tidy. The hot water was not working at first day, but fixed at day after. This hotel is 83km to Port Stephens, so I recommend go by car.

If you are going to stay in Hawks Nest, I would recommend trying to get a place where you can cook your own food if you are there more than a couple of days. If you are just there for a short time, Ocean Side Hawks Nest is your go. The bar/ 'restaurant' next door is handy, and the location is great. Rooms are small, we got a ground floor room with hottub which was great as the weather was terrible so it gave an extra something to enjoy. Staff were friendly, the place was clean.

Nice place, few meters away from beach but no beach view units. They serve breakfast, dinner. Lunch and also a bar with big screens. Thug don't have many options in this area so I would rate this place as good 🤣

Where do I start... Let me set the scene, bored with going to the usual places Nelsons Bay, Shoal Bay and alike, me and the wife had a drive to Hawks Nest (never been before). We packed an overnight bag, just in case. Lucky we did as both me and the wife fell in love with Hawks Nest and the Ocean Side hotel. The room we had wasn't massive but it was big enough and more importantly CLEAN, all the usual suspects were there TV, fridge Etc.we did have a view of the water which was nice. Good food in the pub too. In short we loved it
