C. S.Had a holiday with the family. Fantastic level of cleanliness and preparedness (everything was supplied - everything). Housekeeping staff are to be commended. Check in staff were amazingly accommodating and friendly. Room was immaculate. The sound of breaking waves of a night was very soothing.

The apartment was spacious & well appointed & would have to be the best value for money one could find anywhere.

We stayed for 5 nights in a two bedroom apartment.
The location is on the beach with direct access to the Coastal Walk.
The rooms are large, comfortable and very clean. The apartment was freshly painted, but the bathroom was starting to look dated.
For what it is, the rates are excellent and would recommend staying here.

D. S.Best value. We enjoyed our stay last week. Peter, Sue and Nissa are excellent hosts. We stayed in unit 17, a 2 bed spa unit. Clean and comfortable. The sound of the ocean is so peaceful. I could spend hours sitting on the spacious verandah. One minute walk to the beach. Every morning I enjoyed the sunrise and a swim in the heated pool. From the resort, the walk leads to other beaches as part of the wonderful Solitary Islands walk. Coffs has many beautiful spots. Highlights for us were: Look at me headlands, Coffs Jetty, Urunga board walk, Wilgoolga headlands and Nambucca. Great spot for a week of memorable holidays
G. C.It’s been a nice stay, close to the beach. The facilities within the unit work well. A basic kitchenette helps with starting your mornings and finishing your day. You can hear the ocean in the evening and mornings, leave your door open and enjoy the fresh air. No views being behind some bush and scrub but you’re 50 metres from the beach. Smugglers is for holiday makers who like the basics, and be close to the beach.

P. M.Nice hotel with good apartments and bbq facilities. The room had everything that we needed, was spacious, clean and tidy. The hotel has a nice garden, is very close to the beach and has easy access to amazing walks. The only thing we didn't enjoy as much was the acoustic isolation of the room. The bedroom window was at the bottom of the stairs from the second floor and just in front of the carpark, so we could hear every car that arrived or left in the morning.

H. a. S. W. m.Location is gorgeous, not necessarily a safe swimming beach but lovely to hear the waves crashing all day and night.
The layout feels private. They’re operating at capacity but you’d never know it as all dwellings are facing away from each other and totally secluded.
The three bedroom apartment was well appointed and very clean.
Special mention must be made to Smugglers attention to detail. An obvious desire to make our stay better was their addition at no extra cost of a complete kitchen outside, fully stocked with utensils cutlery Crockery dish detergent cloths and fresh tea towels hung for out convenience so we didn’t have to carry things down to enjoy the pool alfresco area.
Access to a free guest laundry free of charge stocked with board games books body boards sand toys all for loan but not policed 🙏 feels like they want us to make ourselves at home.

K. 1.Lovely motel, out of the way from everything and quiet location. Right on the beach which is nice. Our room had a little view of the ocean. It's only a small walk to the oceans shore and you can hear it perfectly from the motel. Very relaxing as your going to sleep. Room was neat and spacious, besides the bathroom. It was quite small. Especially in a room that could sleep six people. Only big enough to fit one person at a time. Beds were comfortable along with the lounge chair. There was a lack of cleaning at the motel. Found many areas that hadn't been cleaned or wiped. Such as a large sticky spill on the floor under the lounge chair.
M. M.The location is perfect and the rooms and amenities are spot on and great value for money. Really miss having breakfast to the sound of crashing waves. Pete and Sue spectacular service. See you soon we will be back. Marty and family
S. S.We arrived late at night and their reception system was so easy. There was an envelope with our name on it, and after entering our mobile number the machine popped out our room key. The bath towels were Australian made, thick and soft, so nice compared to some places where you get rice paper thin cheap towels. But above all the room was fresh and super clean. The bed was comfortable with nice fresh sheets, and TWO pillows per person! Very happy with our stay. I would highly recommend Smugglers and if we are back in Coffs again, we will be sure to stay there.
J. P.What a great little place. It’s clean, well equipped, the gardens are planted nicely. It’s right on the beach and you can’t see the sea from ground level but you certainly can here it. Staff are lovely too... highly recommended. The is also warm too so you can actually use it!
S.Stayed here for 7 nights in August, right on the beach. Beautiful accommodation we were given a free upgrade from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom suite, which was very comfortable.Lovely gardens & pool. Laundry, because we were travelling was a bonus. Very friendly staff.
A. L.Great place! Everything is super clean and modern. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment and ut was fantastic, very spacious and everything worked perfectly. Great place for families. You definitely need a car to get around so if you don't have one, it might be a bit hard.

Shops very close bye 5min drive and beach at your door step . Highly recommend to anyone who would like to spend the night or few days..We shall return again ..
K. C.Nice quiet location just outside of Coffs Harbour, but beware there is nowhere to buy food or drink in the bay. The hotel is old, But very well maintained. The rooms are huge with new carpets and paint, and comfortable beds. We arrived late on a Saturday and left early on a Sunday so didn’t see the staff in person, but they were a pleasure to deal with on the phone.

S. C.Room and amenities were very clean. The floor and fan heater were a bit dirty. I had to change my arrival time, which was after closing of the reception. I called ahead. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I received an email with instructions on how to get into the room, which were spot-on. Highly recommend the place.
A. C.We had a lovely stay for 4 nights in the school holidays. It was great to have a clean and comfortable unit to stay in that was so close to the beach and was quiet and not overcrowded.
The beach was not suitable for swimming during our stay, but was great to explore and would be fine for swimming on a calm day. We swam at diggers around the corner and at Emerald Beach north of Coffs.
There are no shops or cafes in Korora itself, but that meant it was very quiet and no added tourist.
The Units were a great size and would fit a family of 5 nicely. We cooked each night and used the greatly equipped BBQ area around the pool.
There were balls/bats/pool toys and games available for free use. A guest laundry with free supply of detergent for guests.
The Free WIFI didn't always work for us, but we were the furthest unit from reception area.
The pool was small and had a shallow baby pool with great shade. However, we only spent the late afternoons at the pool and was plenty big enough for the amount of guests that were staying.
I would totally recommend staying here again.

B. M.Stayed here just after Christmas with another family. We had upstairs rooms next to each other, it was lovely with one room having BBQ and an outdoor area. Pool just downstairs and easy walk to the beaches. Great spot for families.
N. E.Beautiful spot. Beach a short stroll straight out the back..could hear the crashing waves all night..gorgeous! And what a great beach. Best ocean shots here. Not a patrolled beach and quite rough, but lovely for kids to play in edge of waves. Lots of different coloured and sized rocks and pebbles..boys built small fortresses on the sand.
Couldnt see beach from apartment due to thick scrub but no big deal.
Bbq/pool area so lovely. All the things you need, even a kettle for a cuppa by the pool.
Rooms were a bit dated and a few things broken - tiles, towel racks, light bulbs need changing, wall clocks need batteries but nothing dangerous or really worrisome. We noticed the property is for sale so may explain.
Rooms were massive and kitchen cupboards fully stocked with containers, cooking equipment- more than in any place we've stayed in before.
The machines in laundry were free!! And laundry detergent in apartments also free. So glad didnt have to run around looking for gold coins to put in machines!
We will definitely come back here.😁
B. B.Standard apartments. Clean although the ants were on the march in the kitchen. Nice listening to the waves at night and right on the beach (no view due to the foreshore vegetation). No life saving club on the beach so not really safe for swimming. More pebbles than sand on the beach.
Location is a long way from any convenience store or any shops. No good without a car. Need to drive to Coffs, Moonee or Emerald beach for a swim. Nice walks on the beach.
A. M.Lovely little relaxed paradise for a chilled couple of days. Away from the Coffs central but, close enough to go anywhere. A stone's throw from the beach was perfection ! Thoroughly renovated & modern & fully self contained with everything you could need with a beach feel was bright & breezy... free & easy !!! You could hear the waves breaking on the beach which was very relaxing... good for the soul. The salty smell from the beach was heaven for the mind ! We had a fantastic break away at Smugglers !!!

The place, when first entering was like your run of the mill motel look. There was a deeper "home" feel to it ... in a positive way.
But when it got dark and you turned on the lights -- thats where the room took on an entirely new classy look. They really did a good job on the lighting, which intensified the warmth of the place. A ceiling fan by day became a beautiful moving chandelier. The kitchen that looked like a utilitarian work horse, with the lights on, turned into a warm place where good things like hot chocolate and marshmallows were made.
We really liked the Master Bedroom which … again by day looked functional but by night was really inviting and friendly like.d
The only drawback I guess was the single bathroom, which was a little dingy and it was clear you weren’t meant to invest long epic reads in there.
The staff was extremely friendly, and were I to guess, I’d say it was a family owned enterprise as there was a feel of really caring for this place.
The name of the establishment is really good too... kids imagination brought to life. Beach access was pretty easy though its not so much a swimming beach as a walking, stare-out-to-see with deep thoughts kind of beach.
S. Y.We had a great time staying at Smugglers. Our apartment was well maintained and had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday. All the facilities that we'd need travelling with a young family were available - a great swimming pool and paddling pool, wonderful bbq area. Smugglers is situated in easy distance to travel to all that Coffs and surrounding areas has to offer (by car).

f.Has a really nice beach close by that you can easily walk to. this beach has really cool rocks that you can run around on. also Smugglers on the beach has tennis courts and a pool with free movies to watch whenever you want.
K. M.This is the second year I've stayed here when going to Coffs Harbour Bridge congress at Opal Cove. Smugglers has nice apartments, well equipped, and is in a very quiet location right on the beach. The Solitary Islands Coastal path goes right past it. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Coffs, provided you have your own car.

A. S.Recently booked and had confirmed a 1 bedroom apartment on Wotif for two nights in August. On arrival discovered that the booking had been rejected by Smugglers but had not been advised by Wotif to us. After some negotiation, the management very kindly upgraded us to a very spacious, well appointed and comfortable two bedroom apartment on the second floor. Congratulations to the management for looking after their customers.
