w. g.So convenient with the right price. No lengthy walks from Martin place station. Just comfortable and quiet over the weekend for a staycation to catch a show and/or go to wonderful city restaurants. Nice and clean, beds are comfy and staff are really attentive at all interactions. No it doesn't come with spa and swimming pool or Cafe/restaurants and retail shops but you are located close enough to everything to get to these places and more. For the price, I would definitely come again. Thank you travelodge.
M.I didn't stay with this travelodge as my booking was accidently mixed up with another travelodge however, the customer service over the phone was amazing and will stay with this travelodge next time I head to Sydney. Nathan (who I accidently called Kevin a couple times) and Hamle? not sure how to spell your name sorry, they are an absolute asset to the business! Keep up your good customer service skills boys!
p. e.Exactly as promised. Convenient to the city especially the Law Courts. Clean and tidy. Great value if you are tight like me :)
A. -. M. G. A.My daughter and I visited Sydney after multiple delays on the trip due to covid. It was my birthday gift to her, and her birthday was Jan 2, 2021. Her Christmas gift the week prior was tickets to see Hamilton at the Lyric theatre. The lovely crew at Travelodge, Martin Place, gifted us choccies and dessert to add the city adventure! We were made to feel very welcomed. The location was central to everything we wanted to see, cleanliness was great, customer service was friendly and professional. We will be back. S. C.I booked and paid for a room as I thought I'd need it after my surgery. My surgery ended up finishing very late at night so the hospital kept me in overnight. When I went back to the travelodge the next day to collect my bag I explained my situation to the staff and as it was out of my hands they happily offered me a full refund. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this travelodge.
C. D.Great hotel in central location. The room was comfortable and reasonably sized, and also very tidy. The bathroom was a little on the older side, but was fine and also clean. The hotel is located very close the Martin Place train station and a short walk to the Wynyard light rail station. The staff at reception were all very friendly and happy to assist with queries.

Our room on the 9th floor was lovely. The room was very spacious and immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable. The room had everything we needed for the 4 nights. It’s well situated close to Martin Place train station and also great if you want to walk.
The Staff were absolutely lovely throughout our stay. Nothing was too much of a problem if we needed to have anything replenished.
Check Out was cheerful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

B. B.Me and friend was stay there 2nights. The receptionist name is Danii ,she is very welcome us,she is so nice and kind also friendly and willing to give us the information about Sydney travel as well. We are appreciated her. But one thing weird about this hotel is the checking out day, checking out time is 11 AM but there's a guy knocked our door around 10am to asked us what's time I want to check out because he want to clean the room. Then we replied him that the checking out time is 11am. Then he's go. And we were very confusing. Then I decided to tell receptionist about this thing ,the receptionist was shocked as well. It shouldn't happen. I was working as a receptionist in big hotel before so i know well that the hotel staff can't knock the guest's door before checking out time. It was a bit weird. Anyway this hotel is good and cheap price and receptionists were wonderful. I will come back if I back to Sydney

But for a place with no cafes open early on a Sunday close by, they really need to sell some more substantial food options in the hotel. I woke up ravenous at 3am and after failing to find close by on google I went to explore..... convenience store next door doesn't open till 8.......
I went to reception and the best I could buy for breakfast was a kitkat and small tube of Pringles.....

Microwave oven, iron and board, tea/coffee making faciities, no utensils, clean spacious bathroom, friendly staff and at present great value while nobody's in the city, comfy bed, nice lounge quite modern refurb.
L.It's just a normal hotel. The price is quite reasonable. The room is quite big and clean. We cannot say it was a nice view. But the good is that it's very close to public transportation and it's in the CBD or near...

The staff at check-in and check-out were very friendly and efficient. The room itself is very good for the price, the building is quite dated but has been previously renovated to a reasonable standard for the price. Getting basic kitchenette facilities is handy too.
The bed itself was very comfortable and not too hard like some hotel beds can be.
The only downside is that you can get a lot of early morning noise coming in from the corridor, especially when placed in a room near the lifts.
The location of the hotel is great, with it only being a short stroll to Martin Place. It's also not far to St James station which gives you access to more train lines (including direct to the airport).

S. S.My daughter and I decided to stay at this hotel as we were visiting from interstate to see a show at the Opera House. We choose this hotel due to its proximity to public transport (5 min walk from train station) and Opera House (15 min walk).
The staff greeted us warmly when we arrived. They were busy as others were checking in at the same time but additional staff arrived to take care of us. We were permitted to check in early as our room was ready - much appreciated having been up early to catch our flight.
The room was clean, comfortable, and had more facilities than expected - microwave, plates, bowls, sink etc.
At each interaction the staff smiled and politely greeted us, even if passing in the hallway.
Plus we appreciated the commitment to being aware of the environmental impact and steps to reduce impact
We would stay here again.

A. M.Really nice hotel. My only comment is that if guests are coming in from Elizabeth Street, it would be helpful to have a sign saying Get the lift up to G Level. It was very confusing and there was no signage at all, I ended up having to call Reception who were very helpful and knew where I was coming from. Another thing was there was no information about surrounding restaurants or details about the areas as is usually in hotels. All in all though the bed was comfy and room was a great size too. Would stay here again if we are ever back.
J.Handy to Martin Place Railway station Light Rail, buses and trains. Within walking distance to a lot of great shops.Staff very friendly and welcoming.
d. s.Good location, spacious room and comfy bed. Staff is quite friendly. Basic utilities such as iron, kettle, microwave, cutleries, tea, coffee, 1 small milk, safe and hair dryer. Nice big TV! We got a room close to the lift and we could hear people. The room is quite dusty, dust on kettle, microwave and benches. The bathroom isn't too clean either, looks a bit old. No view from the window, just another block of hotel rooms. Constructions of restaurant are going on but no mentioned on the website. If we knew, we wouldn't have stayed there.
B. G.This hotel is sufficient enough if you only need a place to sleep/stay for a night or two. (Specially if you can get it for under $100 a night). It's got everything you need. It is not a 5 star hotel, so don't expect a 5 star stay.

S. H.Location was good. Getting from the carpark to the hotel and back again involved walking around the block. The lift from the carpark is also not in use, so don't bring heavy bags. Staff are very friendly. Room was clean and suitable for our one night stay.

S. N.Reasonable prices for the room. Everything was nice and clean when we arrived. They accidentally gave us a queen bed at first when we requested two twins but fixed it immediately when we asked.
Room is just big enough for the beds with a small bathroom, but still a comfortable place to sleep for the night if you are walking around the city all day. Location is only a few blocks away from the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens, a must visit for any tourists, and walking distance to the Sydney Opera House.
Overall I'm very happy with the hotel. The only complaint I can think of is that the wifi is only free for 100mb every 24 hours. Any more than that and you need to pay 10 dollar a day for the unlimited, which is a necessity when you want to share pictures of your trip to your family back home. Otherwise it's a reasonably priced hotel with comfortable rooms in a good location in the city.

Right near two railway stations, one (St James) takes you to and from the airport DIRECTLY. So no having to get off at Central find the right train to take. Walking distance from hotel once you get off the train.
I found lots of places to keep me entertained in the Sydney centre, and no trouble going back to my hotel.
The staff, EXCEPTIONAL, Bent over backwards to assist me. I finished nightshift, caught a plane, arrived in Sydney, hadn't slept, and was totally exhausted when I reached the hotel.
Check in time wasn't until 2pm, however they set me up with wifi, made me comfortable until my room was ready. I found all staff to very kind and helpful.

Mid way between Martin Place and St James underground station, so it's easy to get to (st James is on the City Circle line, which is great for tourists). D. B.I asked for a refund due to change in location of event to West Sydney. I was told over the phone the night before check-in I was entitled to 0% refund and was offered nothing if I was to cancel. Although I knew the terms of my purchase to still offer me nothing in such a situation I think is crazy and rude. So I did stay there and I drove an hour each way to my event each day.... but never will I again stay at a travelodge.
H. M.The Travelodge Hotel is a great place to stay as the rooms are good sized and they are hygienic and clean. The service (the cleaning service is the only one I used) is pretty great and they clean the room very well. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

This area of Sydney thrives 9-5 Monday to Friday. After that there is nothing close by.
It's a 10-36 $ ride to Darling harbour depending on traffic. If your under 35. Walking is easy to circular quay and darling harbour if walking isn't your thing,it's an UBER, OLA or cab.

M. L.Spent a week here in late April 2010 and found the Phillip Street Travelodge to be perfectly situated as a base from which to discover Sydney. The harbor is within easy walking distance and St James rail station at Hyde Park is a block away. Best way to see Sydney is to get an all-day pass on the bus/rail/ferry system for $16 and you can go anywhere for minimal cost. Rooms were modern and quiet although not large. Internet provided but at a relatively high cost although free internet is available at cafe located next door. Also stayed at Travelodge in Wellington and found this chain to be of consistent quality.
