The room at Travelodge was excellent for the price we paid. We initially were disappointed that we got a queen bed because we indicated in our booking that we wanted two single beds, but after returning from dinner on the first day, there were 2 single beds! The service was excellent and consistent. The front desk staff always greeted us and were very helpful. The room was big enough for the two of us, and the toilet was nice as well. The location of the hotel was superb - we were able to walk to almost anywhere we wanted to go to in the area - Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, Town Hall, Botanical Gardens, etc. It was very conveniently located in the centre of many of the attractions, and there were also many restaurants located nearby. It was also right beside Wynyard train station, which was very convenient when traveling to and from the airport.

We stayed overnight on Christmas Day and the staff were very efficient and lovely. We were able to leave our bags in a storeroom at reception early in the morning when we arrived in the city so we didn’t have to carry them around the city all day. The room was great for the price, very clean, beds + pillows were comfortable, and aircon was sooo good considering it was a very hot day. Overall such a pleasant stay and would definitely come back again!

Second time visiting, much higher floor than previously (20 rather than 6) so much less noisy which was very welcome and also nice view. This did greatly affect the water pressure though which was very poor. Bed a little firm.

This particular Travel Lodge in Wynyard is very well situated. It's close to everything. Shopping, all forms of transport including ferries. The hotel itself is modelled like all other Travel Lodge Hotels. The rooms are of a good standard size. Clean and well maintained. Staff were very friendly.

Reasonably priced room in a good, central location in Sydney. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and with good space. If I'm ever back in Sydney I'll likely come back to this hotel again. Thank you so much for making my trip to Sydney easier. :)

Stayed overnight on the 4th of December. Lots of people / long line at check in due to a party nearby. Only three people at check in manning the desks. Some people were waiting from 2pm for their hotel room for 3 hours. The other guests were getting tired and grumpy due to the long line at check in and waiting 30 mins- hours for their room. The staff were dealing with the large group of guests well and was calm at all times. I only waited 30 mins for my hotel room. Room was nice. Nil toothbrush, comb and toothpaste offered. Hair dryer, ironing board, tea and coffee, kettle and iron in room. The beds were really high and moved very easily. Had to physically jump on the bed. Very easy to fall and slip when trying to get on the high beds, especially shorter people with any medical conditions such as total knee replacement or if they have any stiff knees or knee pain. Overall, my stay in the hotel was enjoyable. I recommend more people should work at busy times to check guests in and more computers to check in. Maybe some contactless check in machines. Or iPads/ tablets to check people in/ deal with the line. Recommend having more ammenities such as some toothpaste, toothbrush and comb in the bathroom. Breaks on the bed so it doesn’t run away. Thank you for a enjoyable stay and go luck during the Christmas and new year weeks.

The bed and the pillow are very comfortable which I think is the most important aspect of a hotel. Overall, it was very clean including the towels. disappointing to see there was nothing in the bar fridge even though they give you a letter with pricing. Also the shower water pressure was way too slow for my liking.

Third stay here this year. Love the location - stones throw from Wynyard Station and a short walk to most of the City's attractions, including Darling Harbour, Barangaroo, the Harbour and shopping. Rooms are spacious and clean, and we have found the hotel to be relatively quiet, considering the location.

I'm giving Travelodge four stars whilst it is not the most modern of hotels, I found it excelled in other areas. The staff I found exceptional and helpful, the room was well priced, very clean and tidy. It could probably do with some USB points and/or strategically placed power points. All in all a pleasant stay, well priced and close to the Barangaroo area.

Waited for more than 45-60mins to check in from 2:30pm-3pm Saturday and the line of waiting is still more than 10 people outside the hotel on footpath. Tired. There was a Starbucks across the road , went to have a quick coffee after 2:20pm and still many people waiting to check in. At least it’s now waiting inside the hotel @3:10pm. After check in successfully around 3:45pm , you will need to wait for the lift for another 5-10mins due to only 2 lifts out of 3 (max 2 people per lift) working each time. However it’s affordable with free bottle of wine (with promotions) at a fairly good location near station and ferries. On Sunday 2 out of 3 lifts are not working, it’s being fixed on Monday morning.

its wonderful Hotel if u wanna enjoy Sydney's life. Close to Circular Quay where u must go at the first day of ur trip, of coz the Rocks, and the City. there are two Light rail station and Wynyard station in 3 mins to walk. Also Starbucks, SevenEleven,good pub,italian restaurant(it opens till 23pm!)are very close to the Hotel. Despite the Perfect location, Wynyard is very quiet at evening not like the city and Circular Quay. And of coz our room is very comfortable to stay 1 week. They accepted my request and gave us two bed twin room. There are laundry which is helpful for tourist. Elevator? No problem. Awy my return home has become very wonderful n my partner who 's been to Sydney at first time, too. I'll definitely stey here everytime i go Sydney. Thanks a lot!

Pros - Location is superb. Rooms are neat and tidy. Bed is very big and comfy. Cons - customer service is a bit of hit and miss. I went out for breakfast and requested the front desk to get my room cleaned up as I was away. I explained them that I was not feeling well and wanted to come back and take some rest. However, they never sent anyone. Room service came after 2 hours. Again, the service was quite average. They tidied up the room and washed the used tea cups and plates with hot water in the bathroom and kept them back for use. The cups had tea stains and smelled of rotten milk.

Had this accommodation booked for me by a travel agent. Not disappointed. Marvellous location. Everything is in close proximity. Room is clean. Gym is small but well enough equipped. They have a coin operated laundry. And the staff are very accommodating. The room seems small and mildly outdated, but that won’t matter if you’ll be spending most of your day out and about. Would definitely stay here again.

A reasonably modern hotel in the CBD. Staff and friendly and checking was fast. The rooms are clean with decent bathrooms with good lighting around the mirror. The air-conditioning is not the quietest but don't worry, you won't hear it over the outside noise. The windows are not particularly sound proof (I was on the 14th floor) and you will hear traffic, people shouting and the council cleaning the street.

Love the experience while staying at the Travelodge, the only advice I give you is to hang the “Touch up my Room” Door hanger. Cause if you don’t, they won’t touch anything but change the towels and throw the trash. But overall the room is nice and the gym on the 21st floor is legit.

Room was very clean and modern, good size with a decent amount of space (both for luggage and exercise). It was very quiet (I was on the 16th floor) and the bed was VERY comfortable - king sized, I believe. All in all, had a great stay and very thankful for the lovely, helpful staff!

The location and room was fantastic. The view was beautiful and the place was clean and staff friendly. The elevators are currently under service which was a big pain. At one point we waited 10 minutes for an elevator that kept skipping our floor and then had to walk down 18 flights if stairs which we didn't love. But aside from that, it was lovely.

Since arriving on the friday myself and my wife found the front desk administration was very pleasant and helpful, which make you feel welcome to the establishment. The hospitality from the kitchen and the dining staff was excellent. When called reception about something they make sure that you will have the information/thing you ask for within 15 minutes of you calling to you at your room. The room was amazing and everyday coming back from sight seeing the room was made if you walked in the first time.

Good modern hotel with excellent location adjacent Wynyard Station. Rooms are modern and well kept but most look into an adjacent office building so kept the blinds closed the whole time. Motion sensor hallway lighting in the common areas is a bit slow to react resulting in a dark and unwelcoming environment at night. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.

Room was clean and the staff friendly. However, it was a bit in need of a makeover and the lack of a shower door combines with the drain set to run through the middle of the floor was unpleasant. Halls were a bit tight. Location was great for seeing the downtown area. Breakfast was ridiculously over priced for what you get. They advertise it as a full buffet, but it was pretty basic in offerings being less that what most lower end hotels offer for free in the US. We felt it was significantly overpriced at the buy one get one price, the full $25 price is highway robbery.

Good location by the station. Was upgraded to a studio, which was a nice touch. The room was quite basic, but very clean. The staff were probably the best part; very friendly and helpful. The biggest negative was the fact that the room would shake a little/make a loud noise every time a train passed underneath (probably not an issue n higher floors). The air con was also a too loud, but would stay again for a basic room in a central location.

Excellent location for reaching the start line. We love this hotel because it is just 50 metres from Wynyard station and easily accessible to Barangaroo and the CBD.

We stayed here over the Queens Birthday long weekend. The location is very convenient, being just across the road from the Wynyard station. The room we had was pretty good too. It was clean and tidy, with a comfortable large bed. There was quite a lot of road noise, but we slept well in spite of that. One big problem was that they only had two of their three lifts working the whole weekend. This meant there were long delays to get a lift. I had to take the stairs several times - all 9 floor's worth!

We heard the neighbors have sex three times on night one, had a reprieve on the second night but had to endure some drunk guys playing loud rap music after midnight. Nicely located just north of Wynyard railway station. Great help from front reception staff and comfortable room. Happy enough, stayed here several times for not less than 5 days at a time. Mid tier hotel between the more up-market and basic accommodation levels.. Friendly and efficient staff, clean and adequate facilities - good location to access the rest of the city. Lifts a little slow on those busy week mornings with everyone headed out at the same time. Would stay again.

We had a little confusion when we first arrived as we were not aware that there is no power in the rooms until your insert and leave your room key card in a small unlabeled receptacle near the door. The small window in our room did not latch securely so we still heard a decent bit of traffic noise from the street below. The window coverings are sliding solid wood panels. The shower seems like it's trying to be fancy, but the fact that it has no door makes water splash out onto the mat/floor. Else, the room has been serviceable

Positives: - The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from the harbour and 200m to the train station (which takes you straight to the airport) and close to anything CBD related. - The lobby area is nice and the restaurant downstairs is reasonably priced with good food. - The room is nice enough in terms of furnishings and space. Negatives: - I was on the 7th floor facing out onto a busy street (probably York St) with loud buses. I don't think the windows are particularly thick so the noise impacted on the quality of my sleep. - The room was quite cold despite the aircon/heater set to 29C and the bed cover was thin. Again, they probably could do with thicker windows for both sound and heat insulation. I would stay in Travelodge again and maybe even this hotel if I can find a room with a quieter facing. I was in room 706.

The changeover was very smooth and they even discounted the room rate to make up the difference in parking rates. We were upgraded to a king room which included a kitchenette and lots of floor space. We had a great weeks stay here, we would consider staying here again if we return.

The prices are not too bad, and the room was pretty nice. We were 3 people sharing one room, så obviously a bit tighter than it would be in a two-share. The staff is very friendly, the location of the hotel is very nice, as you can just walk around and keep exploring new parts of the city every day. (We were a bit unlucky with construction workers working right outside out window during our stay, but hopefully that doesn't affect many other visitors.)

The new redecorated rooms are neat and clean. Tight rooms were very confined. The room was perfect. On arrival we were greeted by a very personable wo*** who helped us out with a map of Sydney and a little help with directions to assist us in getting around. Good quality and good value.

- Cheery front staff, felt welcomed. - Smiling housekeeping staff, we bumped into them. - Key card to your floor only. - Two room key cards per room. - Free in room low speed WiFi for two devices, other internet plans are available after you connect. - Clean linens. - Mini fridge is available, along with an iron and ironing board. - In room safe, which we did not use, is in the cupboard (or is it a wardrobe?) on the top shelf, away from naughty children. - AC vents are upward facing at the window sill, hopefully the kids won't notice; but it works beautifully, we overslept. - Two pillows per bed, one normal sized, the other a bigger one. One extra blanket is available. - Flat screen TV on a swiveling base. Free to air channels only. You'll be out anyway. - Hallway to rooms light's up as you walk. - Quaint bathroom, good for the average person. (A bit tight if you are three times the size of Rafael Nadal) - Very close to Wynyard train exit. (You can get there blindfolded) - Around 7 minute walk to Circular Quay. We did not dine here, so no comment here. Checking out was super fast and easy. As always the front staff are cheerful. All in all, will definitely come again. Thanks Travelodge :)

We initially stayed here due to its reasonable price and distance to circular quay as we were going on a cruise. With very little expectations to our surprise it is an absolutely fantastic hotel close to everything you need including circular quay, harbour bridge, opera house and a train station from the airport directly out the front. Our room was contemporarily fitted, clean and comfortable. The reception staff were also incredibly friendly, helpful and were even asking us about our holiday plans.

The bedding was clean enough but it was simply 3 sheets over an old ratty doona that made me feel uncomfortable. The pillow was extremely flat and uncomfortable. The room was clean and bathroom reasonably new, but was and open plan shower with a short section of glass, so the bathroom got drenched.

An affordable and comfortable hotel close to the rocks and circular quay, the bridge and the centre of the CBD. If travelling from OS or interstate, jump on the train and 23 mins later you are getting off at Wynyard station and walking for 3 mins to arrive at the hotel. The front office and management team are very friendly and responsive. The gym is adequate for a great start to the day. The breakfast buffet has most of what you need to fuel your day. The only let down is main road facing rooms can be a little noisy however you are staying in the city.

Perfect location, close to The Rocks and public transport. The rooms were typical mid-range hotel accommodation, roomy enough, clean and reasonably appointed. The cost was a bit high for those on a budget but worth it for a central CBD location. The staff were generally pleasant and helpful. The dining room and bar were a bit expensive but the quality and variety were quite nice. The lifts were a bit of a problem because one was reserved for the tradesmen. The bathroom renovations will be finished this month (Oct. 2015) so the extra lift will be available again. I didn't use the Wi-Fi but my companions didn't seem to have trouble with it. There's PC's near the lobby for basic online access. There's a well stocked display of all the tourist info leaflets so planning day trips was easy. The new bathrooms were very nice although the water pressure could have been stronger. The air conditioner wasn't quite cool enough for me so I don't know what it would be like in summer. The weather was quite cool when we were there. (Sept. 2015) All in all, I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a bit tired but for the price per a day its great. Only 10 minute walk to the harbour, it's great if you're on a budget. For $19 a late night pizza after a night out isn't too bad. Though if it's before midnight I think the dominos down the road would do you well.

This hotel is exactly what they aim to be. A cheaper alternative to the traveller who does not spend a lot of time in their room and more so out on the town. They are centrally located, you can't get much better for the price. It is clean and everyone is helpful. They allowed us to keep our bags with them until our flight which was later in the day. Cons: Bathroom fan did not work, the king size bed was actually two twins pushed together so there was a crack in between the bed. The TV was awfully small but still worked and the internet was not free and was crazy expensive! All in all, I would stay here again!

Loud buzzing from electical board on first inserting room card in power slot. Quieted down when card removed and reinserted. Not entirely sure room's air conditioning was functional. Room was cold at times. Wall heater helped. Cool air seemed to be coming through windows. Internet was at times difficult to authenticate/logon to espically on tablet. Worked better on laptop. Speed and signal was good. I didn t use any other services.

The room was a decent size and furnishings nice, the pillows were hard as rocks. The fire alarm went off at 2am. Rang reception no answer. The alarm wasn't very loud but when we heard the fire engines pull up right outside we went downstairs. Many guests were already standing there in their pjs. When I asked reception they said that the steam from someone's shower had set off the alarm. Really? Good grief then the alarm would be going off constantly then. It was also very noisy and you could easily hear the doors upstairs opening and closing and footsteps.

Haha ignore moha n Bala. 1. there is wifi look it up on their website. But it costs as does everything. 2. Can't say I got room service but the house keeping is fine. Beds made etc the people that do it are friendly. 3. I didn't smell the carpet... 4. Have not heard any noise other than usual city noises. Sirens. Cars etc 5. The drilling he has complained about was mentioned when we booked that they have been renovating the bathrooms and work will be between 7am to 7pm so I don't know what he's complaining about. The reception also told me about this and gave me a piece of paper to give with feedback so perhaps he should have done that. 6. It's no smaller than other reasonably priced places, and this one at least is modern and tidy. 7. Cleaning seems pretty good to me. Nothing to complain about. I thought he was pretty far off on his review that's why I'm addressing it. I thought it was fine. Close to everything. The new bathroom is really nice too. Up to date alarm clock/iPhone lightning dock. Austar. Complimentary wine on arrival. The gym isn't much though. And elevator doesn't display the right floor number but big deal.

I work very close by to travelodge.Love going there as a group or on my own. Reservation is good but not required. The food is very good for value. They have buffet style menu from asian to western, the salad bar is great, deserts are wonderful, I love the chocolate mouse and the little tubs of jelly. The buffet is $16.50 it includes a glass of wine or cold drink.

The hallways have a distinct odor, and the walls generally have holes and look seriously shabby, the windows also were near too dirty to look out. For cheap accommodation the Travelodge Wynyard is okay, reviews rate it at 4 stars but don't believe them.

Well equipped with hair dryer, pod coffee machine, kettle, iron, cold air conditioning and big TV with a seemingly endless channels. 2 mins walk to Wynyard train station which connects you everywhere else. Two Woolworths supermarkets within minutes walk and a place that sells "Chinese breakfasts" early in the morning just past the train station entry. The only point to pick is that if you dislike city noise recommend asking for a room in the upper floors away from the 'city noises'. No fault of the hotel just Sydney is a busy city. Will stay again if in Sydney again.
