Z. K.Overlooking the Lucknow Valley Turners Motel is nestled amongst the grapevines with inhouse Kangaroos (a touristy thing).
The approach to the Motel is really pretty. They've their own wine tasting as they make their own wine which is quite good and priced reasonably if you would like to buy some.
Rooms are comfortable with the amenities that you need. Plenty of parking.
A very peaceful place that we wouldn't mind coming to again.
The staff are really pleasant and helpful. The restaurant has reasonably priced food.
P. P.First things first - a stunning setting. What a beautiful place it was. The room was serviceable - nothing wrong with it, but no great highlight. My only complaint would be that a continental breakfast on a cold Orange morning wasn't ideal. I understand that when it's warm but I think a simple buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages would have been nice. Would have happily paid extra for it.
S. S.The pictures don't do justice to the beauty of the place. The rooms were much more than we expected. The rooms were cleaned everyday and toiletries and towels replenished. The amenities and location were just amazing. The continental breakfast which was included in the room rates could've been better especially considering the hiked prices for the school holidays and long weekend.

Walk around the resort, down to the museum look through the glass and marvel the beautiful old trucks..

I. G.Great view from our room, however, it was so disappointing that the large spacious room was dragged down by dirty stained carpets.
It was only a double bed which was as hard and rickety as the hobs of hell.
Aside from that, the place has a lot of potential, and offers something for all ages with the open hill sides and vineyards.

We used this place as a stop over in Orange after a recommendation.
However, they need to pick their game up a bit if they are to continue to be recommended.
A. M.Wonderful environment. Lovely view. Spacious accommodation in a villa. But can hear television in villa next door. Room basic but warm and lots of space in separate living room and bedroom with bathroom alcove. It is the scenery and rural remoteness which makes this place stand out.
L. P.Spectacular location, clean rooms and the staff are quite nice. Breakfast is satisfactory but is only available until 9am weekdays. Unfortunately the gardens are largely neglected (unmown, thistles in the lawn, a decomposing bird visible from the dining room etc). While it has great potential, this place is a rapidly fading gem.
D. J.Location and view are magnificent, rooms are clean and nice, bathroom is huge for the share 2 bedrooms. Foxtel does not work properly, no sound and keeps disappearing.
But there are 2 huge spiders accompanying our stay, 1 in the bathroom (the size of 50c coin) behind the water closet and another in the bedroom wall at 4am (the size of 20c coin). Continental breakfast is just toasted bread on a fairly sophisticated toaster and cereals. We were expecting some scramble eggs and and sausages but they were no where to be seen. Apple & orange juices are too bitter.
E. P.The Vineyard is in a lovely location with great views of the mountains and farm lands. However the villa we stayed in lacked a couple of important things. First, cleanliness, when we first entered the room you notice the dust and dirt build up on the floor, behind the doors even on the phonI. Second clean furniture, some of the chairs are so dirty that you want to just throw them out for them. Third, any kind of room service!! There is NO room service or even restaurant facilities on the property on a weekend, you are basically on your own.
The room we stayed in also had a bug problem, roaches, I hate roaches. It is country so you expect some bugs but roaches are not good and not natural to the area. The rooms really needed a good vacuum to get rid of the dead bugs littering the floors close to the skirting boards.
We would normally provide this type of feedback to the hotel, and in fact when we checked into the room we called them to vacuum the floors immediately. The staff member who come was prompt and courteous. However on check out the front desk did not even ask how our stay was..... most basic and important question ever if you want to understand how your motel is traveling.
But I would also say that this is definitely not the worst motel I have stayed in. When we stayed there we had others with us that stayed in the main building and not the villas. Those people did not seem to have the same issues, so maybe what we experienced was just the the villas are less well maintained than the main building as they are less used.
S. R.Apartments have a decent size bedroom with ensuite. The living room has a proper table for you to catch up on your work with a view of vineyard. Comes with complimentary continental breakfast. All at a reasonable rate.

N. N.If you are looking for a motel accommodation with separate bathroom and balcony, with country views and sunlight, this is an ideal spot. There staff and amenities are great, however the tiny bar fridge was disappointing for the extended traveller, the carpets and furnishing are rather tired and cleanliness somewhat missed the mark. The wifi password failed, so I used my optus mobile broadband device, otherwise the bed and bathroom all worked for me.
L. R.Stayed one night at Turners and the accommodation was good but unfortunately the dinner in the restaurant was way below acceptable standard. I ordered the battered fish was good though slightly over cooked. My partner ordered crispy skin salmon to be medium to well done. Well there was no medium it was cooked to the point of being very dry. The skin was not crispy with part of the skin missing and another part burnt absolutely no respect for what should have been a beautiful piece of fish. When mentioned to the waiter no apology stating the chef must have had an off night anf that she had eaten the salmon and it was good. When mentioned on departure next morning no comment from reception. We had stayed here based on a previous experience but never again. The least we should have had an applogy and removal of meal from the account. The wine was also syrupy and limited. When will so called chefs learn to cook fish we do it better at home.NEVER EVER AGAIN.
