super convenient location!!! located near train stations and light rails. many eateries and shops nearby! rooms are clean, staff are friendly & helpful, they also have a large kitchen area for cooking (also large fridges to store your food). love this place!!! prices are affordable considering the convenient location. highly recommended !!!

One of the best Hostels I have stayed in. Wake Up Sydney is right in the heart of Sydney and brilliantly managed and staffed by knowledgeable, polite and helpful staff . My room, a private en-suite, while small was clean and had everything I needed including a TV. The basement bar was a bonus. I would happily return.
Also serves some of the best coffee in Sydney

Tidy Hostel, well kept & maintained, only things that were negative were the noise from the above floors is pretty bad, sound proofing problems/wooden floorboards just gotta hope they people above you aint animals, theres no aircon or fans & the windows dont open, so in summer prepare to melt & have the worse sleep, I went an bought my own fan, Staff are nice, I was in a room that went from 350 a week to like 760 a week, if I was going to pay that much might as well rent a hotel, the showers are horrible lol alright if you are 5ft tall, close to the wall an angle straight down onto your feet stupid design.

we stayed in the "penthouse" with a group of friends. this place has great staff, is super accommodating, very friendly! Close to the station, easily accessible, great for an overnight stay after a night of celebrations! Very clean rooms AND shared bathroom. the bathroom is the cleanest shared-bathroom i have ever used and i am a frequent traveller (Australia and overseas)! Free breakfast the next day was AMAZING!

Absolute value for money. Great location, was across from the station. Wonderful room, bed was extremely comfortable, although the shower was a bit small it didn't bother us. Very clean. Had complimentary breakfast, which was very nice. Staff are wonderful and friendly. When we checked out, we were told we could leave our luggage at the motel, instead of walking around with it,while we went shopping and waiting for the train that evening. Will definately be back. Highly recommended 😊Oh and they have lifts which was also very convenient and played funky music 😁

Really nice Hostel, stayed twice here. Price is of course a little bit high, but therefore it's not a typical Backpacker Hostel and even as age 30+ you feel comfortable. Especially around new years eve, they would need way more kitchen storage rooms. The Aircondition in the rooms was sometimes a bit too cold and the doors smashes way too loud. But anyway, it's a great clean hostel.

I booked an ensuite room @wakeupSydney for 2 nights.
Pros:
The room was fantastic with a wide 3/4 wall window letting in a lot of sunshine :-) loved it!
Neatly made double bed with 5 puffy pillows was inviting me to throw myself on it and rest well. A bedside table with a lamp- quite necessary to place stuff on with a wall mounted TV remote controller.
The bathroom was clean - totally mould free with ample toilet roll available and new toiletries for a single person. Lighting, entrance card, enough space around the double bed to walk, put luggage.
Cons:
The room's chillers worked excellently but I'm not a fan of chills so was quite cold.
The bedsheets and pillow cases were all neat and clean yet the bed base and pillows need to be changed. (The base upholstery was torn, the pillows and mattress had smell from different people bodies lying in since ages.)
the bathroom wash basin had separate hot and cold taps- now how would you mix them as running water? :-) Yet all 1 star essentials were good for my comfort.

Dev & Mo have made my stay over 6 months+ extremely easy, the place is very clean, I feel very well looked after. The staff in general are super friendly. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Thank you very much Dev, Mo & Wake Up Sydney!

Good value. Spacious, clean, comfortable. The perfect large scale city hostel.
The downstairs bar is a depressing place void of soul so don't bother with that bit haha.
C. K.
Perfect place. Nice reception and staff. Rooms were clean and affordable. Good discounts in side bar because we stayed here like $5 dinner everyday between 4 and 8pm.

I stayed in wake up for some months and it is just amazing. It is very clean and its location is good. The best of all, are the staff!!! Always friendly and helpful. Best customer service from reception, housekeeping and the café. Will definitely be back as it has felt like “home away from home” for me.

By far the BEST hostel I have stayed at! I stayed there for 3 weeks and had the time of my life. The staff is super helpful, kind and talkative. If you have any questions just ask the staff and they can give you a ton of recommendations. Plus, they offer these free activities which are great to see the city and meet new people. From the moment I walked into the hostel I felt integrated. I was travelling solo, but not once did I have a feeling of loneliness. Can't wait to go back!

This hostel, is just PERFECT !
I had a great holidays Thank you guys.

The location is fantastic. Near the central train station, tram station and bus stops! The facilities are very clean and well organised. I stayed here twice. If I come back to sydney next time I will still choose this hostel!

More than a Hostel, it looks like a hotel. So cute. youthful atmosphere. bright. cleansed. I wanted to know the facilities and they were very friendly

Good value for a private room, clean, dtaff was nice. Good deals with the bar. Well located near the station.Bit noisy but nothing too bad. Would go again if nees be.

Great hostel right in the middle of the city. Bathrooms are really clean with hairdryers. Kitchen has loads of space and all of the utensils you need. Hostel staff deserve a special shout out and are so nice and helpful. There is loads of activities organised like nights out and walking tours etc so easy to meet people if you are a solo traveller.
H. B.
I had a private room for two nights and it was great. Friendly and helpful staff, nice big bathrooms with clean showers, comfortable bed in a simply furnished but clean room. Was nice to have a TV too. The side bar was a little loud on my first night but you can get free earplugs from reception. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again although next time I would try a dorm to meet more people. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Had a booking at this hostel earlier this year. A few things that I've experienced during my stay which can also serve as a reminder for similar travelers in the future. The hostel does not have any parking spaces available thus if you're staying at this place and have a rental car, your options could be the street parking or Wilson Parking which is located at various locations within the hostel's vicinity and have to pay about $30-$50 for overnight parking. Also, this place is a party hostel. So if you're looking for a laid back and quiet atmosphere, this place isn't probably for you. Overall, I really commend their staff for having an amazing service. The place has daily activities/nightly events that their guests can participate to!
A. R.
Very friendly staff who are so helpful. Clean bedrooms and bathrooms. Lift access is great for having luggage!
Roy's cafe attached to the hostel does great food and there are dance events on most nights! A great place to meet people when travelling alone!
C.
Great location and helpful staff~plenty of activities for younger generations.
Large shower and it’s always clean!
But if you’re an enthusiastic outdoor lover, might suggest you to stay at some other places. The bunk bed isn’t comfortable and shaky by other person who sharing the bunk bed. there is no curtain for each bed or the room . It’s hard to have a well sleep here even with earplug or eye masks on. Also, the AC plug on the wall is high and not easy to plug an adapter (drop easily). After an exhausted day with outdoor activities, you might feel very uncomfortable to stay here. But it’s good for young people who enjoy night life though. Musics in Side bar is nice.
L. B.
This is the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Hands down.
The location is perfect: central station is just across the road and you only need to walk down one of the streets on either side to get to circular quay. Because of this busy location, I thought it would be noisy inside, but it’s not, so you get a really good night’s sleep.
The rooms and bathrooms are all really clean. The bathrooms are cleaned 3 times a day (according to the sign on the back of the door) so they were always fine whenever I used them. Also, this is probably the best hostel shower I have used in Australia so far! The water is so powerful, rather than the dribble I have had in some hostels. I know it’s a stupid thing, but it was really nice.
The staff are highly professional and helpful - the fact that they had a uniform shirt gave them a more professional air, rather than just own clothes. They were really helpful too. Alba’s free walking city tour was excellent, I would recommend that if you’re staying here over a Monday!
W. J.
Clean, super convenient and pretty comfortable. Staffs are all friendly and they have a travel agent inside the hostel itself which is great - they really recommend you all the good stuffs. They have a bar as well downstairs - I usually grab quick dinner there. Pretty okay food. There's no breakfast but they have a small cafe with coupons you can redeem.
A. D.
1. It is expensive but yet I feel that it is worth it.
2. They have activities daily. For example:- they have free wine and cheese party on Monday or Tuesday within the hostel. Every one meets up and drink together. This way, it opens door to meet new people.
3. Bathroom and toilets are cleaned very regularly and they are very hygienic.
4. Reception area is always available for you and for your friends. You can always bring your friend and chill with them.
5. When you are bored, you can always go to side bar and enjoy the night.
6. Free water can be taken from the cafe shop on ground floor.
7. Nice matress.
8. Staff is very helpful and very friendly.
9. You meet lot of new people.
10. Sunday pub crawl is mere 10$.
Overall, it is slightly expensive but it is worth it as per me.

Wake up is one of the best hostel to stay in Sydney. The perks of staying at wake up are endless. The beds are comfy and the hostel is neat and immaculate. There's a bar/club and a cafe right under the building which makes it one stop for all your needs. I stayed there for a week and really enjoyed my stay. There is activities every day and the staff makes an effort involve every person to engage in daily fun which is great opportunity to meet with people. There's a massive kitchen and fridge provided to cook and keep your belongings. The laundry had a iron which made it very easy for me to show up at work looking sharp. Alba the receptionist who checked me in was excellent and thorough explaining the amenities of the hostel and made me feel welcomed. I would definitely visit again!!
B. P.
Great in terms of facilities and location. Seems like a big hotel. It's clean and they even give you a pouch with shower gels and lotions too (which I have never received at a hostel!). However it is very very big, there are loads of people, many of which seem to be staying there long term so it was hard to make friends as people seemed to have their own groups. There are events on every night and a bar/club in the hostel but I unfortunately never managed to make it to them so that could also explain why I found it harder to connect with anyone. Overall would recommend!
H. W.
Convenient access, quite comfortable comfortable room.
· The hotel is located in a very convenient location of the city, from where you can easily get to any other part of the city. Large parking for cars. Nice view from the window. The room is cozy, clean, comfortable. The furniture is modern. Next time I will definitely stay at this hotel.
M. J.
It was a very nice experience.
The thing that I liked the most was, that they are really conscious about cleaning. The bathroom and kitchend is cleaned every day. Furthermore once a week the rooms get deep cleaned.
Which is why I can definitely recommend to stay at this hostel.
S.
Best.Hostel.Ever. They are meticulously clean to the dot. Shared bathrooms are always spotless and all bedrooms are vacuumed every morning. They're customer service is outstanding and they will accommodate you on any of your needs. Solo traveled and stayed here. They have fun daily group tours that allow you to make friends and meet other travelers. Every single person i met here was nice and approachable. Lots of solo backpackers here!
I made amazing friends from around the world here that I still keep in contact with even one year later. I would absolutely stay here again!
C. A.
Great hostel. I stayed there for 2 weeks. Didn't have any issue. The staff is really friendly and easy going. Everyday different programs, where you can make friends, because they coming from all over the world. The hostel is clean. I had an amazing experience here at Wake up Sydney.
E. C.
We've been to heaps of hostels in both Asia & Oz and this is easily up there with the best, if not the best, especially with Covid. They really look after their back packers here, there is so many cool perks. Every day they have a different promotion at the bar / resturant down stairs. A couple come to mind such as $5 fish and chips and FREE pizza. We've paid 25 dollara for worse pizza.
The staff are also really friendly, Freya was great. Overall would definitely return and recommend, fantastic place and great vibe.
N. K.
Fantastic. Cleanest hostel I’ve stayed at. Very organized and simple; helpful and friendly staff. Great price. Has a club/bar right next to it. Has a breakfast cafe downstairs... good WiFi. Good mattress on the bed. Even ample space considering you’re in the room with quite a few other people. I have no complaints.
S. S.
Location was great, right by the train station! Rooms and service were good as well, they have a range of activities for people to do with the hostel. The only complaint is that it was very loud, the rooms provide no sound protection and doors slam frequently. The people on our floor were extremely noisy and this made it hard to sleep. Overall it was a cool hostel in a good location, but very much the partying student type of vibe.
T. F. R.
I think this hostel has got one of the best locations in Sydney. Everything can be reached by just walking and if you're not a fan of that the central station is just in front of the door. The rooms are in good shape and air conditioned in a way that you don't get cold air blown into your face while sleeping. That's excellent and sadly pretty rare. The kitchen is alright I guess. I didn't really use it for anything but breakfast so don't take my word for it.
There are only two things I didn't like.
For one the price. Yes the spot is good and it's all modern and stuff but still I thought it was pretty dear.
The second thing is the personal. It really is hit or miss with some being awesomely friendly and going the extra mile to make your stay better and than some that don't give a sh*t and let you know that they'd love to see you go. But I think you'll get a couple of them in every hostel...
R. B.
Such a nice environment and really friendly proffesional staff, very clean facilities, honestly such a joy being here and meeting a LOT of really great people. THANK YOU DEV for how welcome you make everyone feel! Dev, Romy, Chris, Josh, definitely my favourite staff!! Feel very lucky to have ended up here during this pandemic and I am really going to miss it when I leave!! It's a great place to be ❤️

I booked a short 3-night stay in Sydney and had booked Wake up based on other reviews I'd read - they were all absolutely spot on, staying here was the best choice I made!! I've met amazing people, and I love that there are day and night events running every day so you're never stuck for something to do. The hostel's cafe serves delicious food it's the perfect spot to grab some breakfast. The staff are incredible, friendly and helpful. Bedrooms and bathrooms were nice and clean too. I can't recommend Wake up enough, I'll definitely be staying again! Thanks for a great experience
S. G.
The staff are excellent here. They go above and beyond to make your stay a great one. Always friendly, always helpful. Wake Up! It's definitely more geared towards gap year students and young people. We may not have booked knowing this but we stayed and were moved to a private room for more privacy and a better nights sleep, even to the degree of reshuffling so that we could stay In the same room over multiple bookings. Location is excellent with discounts to gym, restaurant and drinks in thier night club below the building.
박.
This hostel is one of my best hostel i have ever stayed! But, one thing that made me disappointed is the room. Room is quite suffocating and not fully closed with windows, so it bit pretty cold when i slept. Amenity and facilities are generally arranged and organized. I would like to stay there next time.
M. J.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wake Up! The rooms were spacious and clean with sockets and lamps for everyone, the whole hostel is modern and well looked after and the staff are incredible. Plenty of stuff to do in the days and evenings and the girls that work here have got good bants especially Katie who looked after us and always made sure we were smiling. 10/10 would recommend.
E. D.
I had the best time in Sydney at this hostel. You can do so many fun activities and it’s also a very clean and welcoming accommodation:) I can recommend this hostel to 10000000%
J. K.
The staff was really friendly and they have really good offers for things to do in Sydney. You also get vouchers for the bar downstairs and there is usually a good party going on. The kitchen is a bit small. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and you have good WiFi in every corner of the hostel.
P. H.
Efficient front desk staff, very clean bathrooms, and a calendar of events make this hostel a good choice for travelers who want to stay at the transportation heart of Sydney downtown. Kitchen was massive, but dining/lounge space seemed undersized for the population of the building. First floor felt more like an airport departure lounge than a community living room.
R. G.
Such a great hostel! Fantastic location. Easy to walk to nearby shopping centres and public transport further out although if you don't mind a little walking it is easy to get to places like the harbour and opera house by foot; pretty much a straight line! Comfy beds. Good temperature. Awesome high ceilings and floor space.
S. T.
Amazing and so much fun. Great to see so many people and places. Thanks for all the staff meeting everything possible. I love everyone of you and will tell the world. 💯❤️
D. M.
Location is very good, 2 min walk from central station. Rooms are shared amongst 6 people and guests are between the ages of 18 and 30. The hostel has a club/bar in the basement with drinks every night. The hostel has a party profile. You get a fresh sheet and pillow case on your arrival, however, the blanket and its sheet don't seem to be fresh as well as the mattress and its sheet. The rooms are pretty clean as they are cleaned quite often (twice during our stay of 3 nights). The kitchen facilities are very good, multiple stoves, professional refrigerators and people actually clean up after themselves, although because of the drying racks, people tend not to dry their dishes with the cloths provided.
j. F.
Loved this hostel so much that I stayed here for 2 months straight. Comfy beds, clean kitchen central location and super friendly staff. Worked in manly but travelled every day for 2 hours because I enjoyed my time in Wake Up! so much.
G. D.
Extremely well located hostel with great access to the Central station and all the basic public transportation you will need. The only negative side is that for the price you pay the bed is extremely uncomfortable. I couldn't sleep well because my mattress was sinking into the floor. Except that, friendly staff and great place to start your journey in Sydney.
E. A.
Always clean, kitchens are good with lockers for cupboard foods and plenty of fridge space. Rooms are a good size and good air con. Events they put on are good and help you meet people. Highly recommend doing the Sunday pub crawl for $10 so easy to meet people and have an amazing night out for very cheap!
F. F.
One of the best hostels Id ever stayed. Free walking tours, bar on the base floor really good vibes. I'll definitely recommend. The staff is awesome. Really helpful and cool 😎. The location is just 100m away from central Station. No negatives.
C. A.
This hostel is like top of the range I stayed here my first week in Sydney and they have the most comfortable beds that are nice and large, as well as decent showers with hairdryers etc. They also have computers in the foyer to use which was incredibly helpful.
They also have e a job board on the wall to assist you in finding work. A great place and the staff are really helpful.
B. H.
Wake up was a DREAM. Super easy check in, wonderful and friendly staff, excellent location with Harbour a comfortable walk down Pitt street. Room was perfect for my short stay and wish I got to experience some of the free tours and meet ups they had but didn't have time!
A. T.
Amzing stay. I loved it. Well maintained and secure room. Secure lift access and a very good common kitchen.
H. D.
Amazing place to stay! Great location right by the train station and lots within walking distance, the building is clean and bright, staff are always around to help or offer suggestions on activities. There is a cafe and bar attached for an easy night out and an easy morning after! Will stay here again!
F. N.
Clean, friendly-staffed, and social hostel! We stayed here for 6 days while exploring Sydney and Wakeup! exceeded our expectations. Location was prime and the room was spacious. Bathrooms were clean and always available. Hot shower and good pressure. WiFi was slow but that’s all hostels. The staff were extremely helpful—Alba in particular was a very hospitable and considerate host & tour guide. Truly a pleasure to meet and chat with! Thanks for all Alba :)
N. M.
I have been living here for months! Great place, perfect location, clean and super comfortable!
B. G. D. P.
It's a great value, and quite clean and secure. Be mindful though that if you go in on a weekend that you might be induced into partying with your roommates. 😉
A. D. S.
I had the best time staying at Wake Up - it's incredibly sociable, clean and has something for everyone, including vouchers to use at the cafe and bar which is a great perk, plus fluffy towels for a refundable deposit!
The staff are all incredible - Max gave a great first impression when checking me in and was super professional and helpful.
Special shoutout to the Travel Up team - Linea (not sure how to spell her name!) and Stacey are absolutely fantastic - they are a great team and are willing to help out and advise with travel plans with no pressure whatsoever. I've recommended you guys to everyone!
K. V.
Best hostel I’ve stayed in, the staff are great, the rooms are always clean, it is very sociable and a lot of activities to do. The location is perfect as you have everything in walking distance or the train station is directly opposite. Would definitely recommend.
P. C.
It’s hard to specify the exact one thing that makes this supreme accomodation supplier stand apart from the woeful array of budget friendly accomodation available to both domestic and international travellers in Sydney.
Perhaps it’s an X factor thing? Whatever it is, Wake up definitely challenges the dichotomy on offer in Sydney’s below average provision of budget providers. In fact - it’s a slap in the face to those many below average providers whom care nothing for;
- guest relations
- cleanliness
- composition of the level of accomodation available (this place is Budget 5 star...if there is such a thing).
It’s not my first stay in a budget provider - but I know, that if your looking to stay in Sydney ...and if the level of service, attentiveness of staff and the quality of the rooms are important to you - then nothing can beat what’s on offer here.
And it started with a smile when I walked in the door...

Excellent hostel, one of the best I have ever stayed in! Rooms were very clean. The location is great being a short walk to central train station. Very social hostel. The staff run multiple events every day so it is a great place to have fun and meet new people!
P. M.
I had an amazing experience here. A historic building, great staff, friendly guests and modern facilities. Great backpacker bar underneath (Side Bar) and awesome coffee and toasties downstairs at Roy's cafe. Wake up is a great example of a well run hostel, can't wait to be back next time.
M. P. B.
A great hostel if you're traveling with a group. The Sidebar under the hotel has lots of great "themed parties" and other fun. It also offers oppotunities to meet new people and make new friends. Though the security people aren't nice if you rub them up the wrong way. Which is fair I guess....
L. M.
Really liked this hostel, super clean, comfy beds, lockers and a light & charging point for each bed. The staff are helpful and friendly and lots of activities going on. Would definitely stay again.
T. X. T.
The rooms where a good size and very responsibly priced with plenty of space for you belonging really clean. They have a washing and drying facilities so there was no need to go and find a laundrette and they have a kitchen area so you can have an option to cook for yourself which was ideal if you wanted to not have to eat out all the time this was a good area meet others from the hostel. The events team Matt, Simba and Nicole would come round and tell you about all the interesting events they had going going on and the bar located just down stars which is just so convenient. Matt was very helpful directions around Sydney and always managed to get us down to the evens at side bar! The reception staff Maggie where really friendly and helped with different things there are to do in Australia. I would definitely stay here again!
A. M.
I stayed for one night only, it wasn't bad at all, but there were some problems...the first is the window blinds. You just can't block the light entering your room, so you have no choice but to wake up at 6am. I thought maybe this was on purpose because of the company name.
The second issue was the too short duvet. I was there with my wife and only one small duvet wasn't enough to cover/warm us, so we felt very cold all night, and only one person could use the small duvet.
The good stuff is the location, the rooms/bathrooms were very clean, and the recepcionist was very sympathetic.
R. L.
Large dorm rooms, high ceilings. Typical hostel with nightly happy hour s or activities. The attached bar downstairs is very convenient. And proximity to Central station is great for travelers. If you're looking for a fun hostel to meet other like-minded travelers this is a good spot.
R. W.
I like the location, so close to central station/the south concourse. We stayed 3 nights here and pretty much enjoy our stay. We booked 2 rooms, it was triple and twin sharing, the rooms equipped with bunk bed, a chair, a table, a night lamp, and have windows facing the junction. The kitchen were quite clean and we manage to do some cooking in early morning while it was not really crowded. The bathroom was separated to female and male area, and they were cleaned 3 times a day.
The downside was just a little bit of crowd at the front of the entrance, and some people get drunk over there on the Side Bar. But the loud didn't disturb out stay at level 6.
They didn't serve breakfast though but we were fine of this. Just accross the street there was a thai food restaurant (time for thai) which serve halal food.
D. R.
I stayed here for two days and enjoyed my time. The cleanliness of the place , which is the most important thing I look for was very good. It has a very good vibe and a great place to meet people from across different cultures. The place is centrally located with great access to public transport. The staffs were really helpful and are available through the day.

I've stayed twice in Wake Up! now, once in February for a night before my flight back to the UK - I was so impressed it was my first option when I came back on my working holiday visa only months later.
Reception team were all fantastic, very accommodating and were knowledgeable on all the hostel had to offer. From free wine & cheese at the built-in Side Bar to arranging pub crawls around the city. Noteably Beatriz who took my booking & Dave who checked me in on arrival and gave a very warm welcome with a good run-down on the weeks events!
Linnea & Stacey at the travel desk helped with my travel plans, helping arrange a huge range of tours and experiences on my trip to Cairns. They were able to accommodate to my every need and book in some really exciting experiences! From snorkeling at the reef to skydiving from 15,000 feet! What an adventure.
Money well spent, I would recommend absolutely everybody give these guys a shot if you're staying in Sydney. The rooms were fantastic, well kept with some good like-minded travelers to get along with. On-site washing facilities helped heaps and made it easy to keep clean! A huge kitchen with personal lockers too, helping keep your goodies safe.
Free WiFi too! That was really useful whilst I sorted out my Aussie SIM card for the long term.
I'm sure there are plenty other good things to be said, why not take a look and see? 😊
B.
I can absolutely recommend this hostel! The staff is very friendly and polite so you can come up to them with any problem you have and they will help you. The dorms, the bathroom and the kitchen are clean and cleaned up regularly. Compared to other hostels, you feel a little bit like living in a hotel there.
You also can participate at different daily activities in the morning and in the evening that you can look up at the website. They are worth it!
In addition to that, there is the oppurtunity to book day trips or your whole journey at "TravelUp" in the hostel.
A kind hostel in which you will definetely feel comfortable!

Wake up Sydney would have to be one of the best hostels getting around, this coming from a traveler of 41 countries and countless hostels.
The staff extremely friendly, fun, and happy to help with anything and everything you need. They even send staff around the floors to inform everyone on-site of events happening at the hostel that evening.
There are free walking tours offered by the hostel on Mondays, an affordable airport shuttle, and a range of other activities/tours you can arrange through the tour desk in reception. The train station is right across the road, giving you access to all areas of Sydney.
The 4 person dorm I stayed in was clean and without any odors. Lockers are available in the room and you can use your own padlock, or purchase one from reception.
The bathrooms were always found to be very clean as well!
There is a large hang out area on Level 1, along with a kitchen, fridges, and plenty of space to store your food.
With an abundance of activities and atmosphere, this hostel won't let you down.
C. O.
Lovely hostel. Reasonably priced. Great amenities, comfy beds, clean toilets and good hot water. I only removed a star for their laundry services. Just go to a laundromat it would be far cheaper. Took us 24 dollars to wash and dry one load.
N.
One of the better hostels in Sydney. Very clean and tidy. Doesn't come with the extras that others may provide but they out do the competition in cleanliness, service and accessibility. It can be a little out of the way of certain things that you may like to do in Sydney but it's also well located for other activities. Overall, a good hostel. The only downside is the price and availability. Slightly more expensive than the other Sydney hostels.
S. S.
Otherwise perfect, except the bar downstairs might keep you awake till 3am. They offer free ear plugs, didn't test them, but one might feel the base anyway. All in all a really tidy and nice hostel. Really nice staff.
T. C.
I was there for 17th of September to 26th of September and it was good. Basically this is a party hostel, and it’s huge. They have laundry facilities and clean bathrooms on your floor so it’s super convenient. I never had to wait on a stall or toilet.
That being said, it’s constantly busy and the reception is 24 hours. I stayed in a room with revolving roommates. People who don’t care that they’re coming in from the airport at 12am and still turning the light on and talking really loud. Or coming back from a party at 11pm and still turning the lights on. Basically my hang ups. They have a bar downstairs(which is overly priced) and a cafe in it. It’s in the heart of Sydney and as a first stop I guess it’s great.
They also have a travelex ATM in the middle of the lobby so you can access your money at any time. The WiFi is good for Australia but sometimes it dropped out and was bad for a while.
This is an expensive hostel coming in at $40 a night, so I wouldn’t recommend staying longer then a week or it’ll eat up your money.

Cheap, cheerful and welcoming hostel-type accommodation with exceptionally friendly staff. Varies from single room to large dorm rooms. It's actually very clean and staffs here make your stay memorable. There's cafés, like Roys Café, side bar that offers affordable meals and drinks. Great innovation here is their guided tours, personal training and live bands to name a few. Be warned that they don't allow anyone under 18 years old. And be mindful of few house rules imposed. Best location as its right across from Central Station and short stroll to Market City, Chinatown, CBD and shopping, churches and universities. It's a sophisticated place for a hostel!

Great hostel. Pretty big kitchen, lots of social activities. Could do with common area to sit and chill. Also Friday and Saturday night it would be nice to drink in common areas until 10.30/11pm instead of kick out at 10pm.
Fun place to stay, great long term stay rates

If you stay here, you will have ridiculously high standards for every hostel you visit in the future. Honestly, guys, this place is amazing. The location is perfect- right across from the train station. Getting here from the airport is 15 minute train ride for 18 AUD.
This hostel has activities every morning and every evening- perfect for making new friends. There is a bar downstairs which is packed every single night with travelers on the weekends and some locals on the weekdays. There is also a lovely cafe attached to the hostel, perfect for brekkie after a night of partying.
The ladies at the travel desk in the hostel are absolutely lovely and are dedicated to making sure you have the best adventures. Two nights in a row, they were there well after closing (6pm) to help me sign up for a surf camp in Byron Bay- which was my next destination. They are pleasant, polite, and happy to help a traveler out.
The customer service is incredible. I had an unfortunate experience, losing my luggage, upon arriving in Sydney from Melbourne. The staff waived my towel deposit and gave me a couple free toiletries. Additionally, the hostel is extremely clean. They deep clean the rooms every three or four days. The bathrooms are cleaned three times a day. The shower stalls are spacious with strong water pressure. There are also hair dryers available which work very well.
Every staff member I came in contact with was absolutely lovely and pleasant to talk to. Staying here was a memorable experience and I would recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Sydney!

This place is fantastic. The look and feel is what you expect of a great hostel. The facilities are super clean and big. I did not have a good shower like this for days. There a lot of activities every night. And there is also a club around the corner called Side bar. Free entrance! And good music.
The hostel also includes a information desk where you can get information for journey's too the blue mountains or activities like skydiving and surfing.
Wake up is also near everything. The central station is across the street. From there on you can get on city circle (what will get you around the city). It's on walking distance too other clubs aswel. And if you come from the airport it also takes you one train too get here.
A. M.
Place seems pretty clean, the kitchen is equipped, and most important of all the price is right. I'm new to hostels, and the Lack of privacy isn't really my wife's thing. Mine either, I'll probably look for an air bnb next time. (Unless it's closer to our last hostel that had private bathrooms). Aside from that, good location and as far as a hostel, it seems to be great.
E. G.
Probably one of the best Hostels in Sydney! They have events every night, all the people in my mixed dorm were lovely and super respectful. The bath room were kept tidy and the staff were friendly. It can get very loud with the events happening in the basement so I would recommend grabbing some of the free ear plugs from downstairs.

Great facilities, very professional Hostel. This is basically a nice Hotel with shared rooms. There's a cafe, a travel office as well as one of the trendier clubs accessible directly from the hostel lobby. The kitchen is spatious and allows for many people to kook at the same time. Refrigerator space is also plenty. The rooms are spread out over 5 floors, each with their unique theme and complete with clean and spatious bathrooms. Each bed has a separate power outlet and the lockers resemble small wardrobes. There's a lobby for hanging out during the day, some tables for surfing the web while charging your electronics as well as a common room near the kitchen which gets really busy in the evening. Overall I could think of nothing to be improved. The only drawback is that given its size it gets rather impersonal.
G. G.
The staff is nice and helpful, but the rooms could be better. There is bad air in the rooms, and no good ventilation. The beds are old and dont feel comfortable. There is a kitchen and fridges for everyone, along side a stove where u can cook
All in all i would only recommend it for sleeping nothing else. The good thing is that thaly have a club in the basement, and a good bar/restaurant in front.

Great experience after staying here for a few days on a trip to Sydney with my daughter. Much nicer that what I expected from a hostel. Was near the Central Station which made it easier to get around. There are daily activities that provide you the opportunity to connect with other travelers. that Took a free walking tour with Alba that lasted 4.5 hours and was AWESOME. She helped us experience many cool things that we wouldn't have known about without her guidance. Location is near Chinatown which allows for some great cultural and shopping experiences. I highly recommend Wake-Up Sydney.
R. S.
I stayed at a hostel nearby, but the wakeup hostel was way nicer. They were so many cool people in there I went there everyday. And the sidebar is just downstairs. Cool young backpackers. Many activities in the hostel. A really nice place to be for a backpacker.
B. H.
Best hostel is Sydney. Clean rooms, bathrooms are cleaned twice a day. Staff are friendly. Roy’s cafe downstairs is convenient for food all day. Always activities going on each night so it’s good for lone travelers. Side bar is the underground bar which is always busy. Promo girls are friendly and always want you involved in what is going on. Amy is always chatty and answers any questions.
M. G.
Okay, where to begin. I was really wanting to love this hostel because it had great reviews. But this wasn’t probably the worst hostel I’ve stayed in on my trip thus far. The actual facilities are good, and the location is perfect and convenient as it’s right in central Sydney. I want to preface that this might be partially my own fault as I chose a large group room, but this place was SO LOUD!! I was on the second floor and could hear the bass from the club in the basement the entire night until like 3am, and then when people would come in, and slam the doors, I thought they were just being inconsiderate but the doors are so heavy that no matter how hard you try it ends up being ridiculously loud. The same goes for the bathroom doors, and you can hear it echoing across the entire floor. The walls are also thin, so you can hear the people above you jumping down from their bunks and moving around. Obviously this is a party hostel, which I am okay with as long as people respect others and the hostel does their best to keep the noise down but I just can’t get over how loud this place is. So if you’re a light sleeper, please choose elsewhere.
M. S.
It's a party hostel, it's really busy and noisy and the crowd is 18 something and behaves exactly like that. You'll probably like it there if drinking and partying is your plan. Kitchen is rather small for the number of people. Bathroom was clean as were the rooms. They are tiny though.
M. B.
Great location, clean rooms and bathrooms.
Kitchen facilities and communal areas are well equipped and maintained.
Lots of organised events and offers for those staying here.
Bars and restaurant are open to non guests and offer a great range of food and drink. A great place to catch up with friends.
L. d. T.
Stayed at this place multiple nights, from 4p dorms to private rooms, every time I had comfy beds, the shared bathrooms are super clean, with warm water at any time. Amazing wifi connection for a hostel, which is always good. The staff is amazing and really friendly and they have great activities which allow you to make good friends real quick, would recommend this place a 100% :)
L. G.
I'm nearing 40yo and this is a youth oriented hostel of course but very clean, real wifi that actually worked, helpful staff, lovely building, plenty of information, very close to station, earplugs and eyemasks complimentary for light sleepers, measures taken for security of guests, simple check in and out process, great value. Did I mention the cleanliness? It was a pleasant experience, one I hope to relive. One thing that some old cheap inns have over the private room I got was personal air conditioning... But in almost every other sense it smashed normal inns. Didn't try cafe (was in late out early).
A. D.
Nice Hostel. Decent sized dorm room. Wifi was okay. Not enough toilets. Good party atmosphere. There doesn't seem to by any stairs (at least I couldn't manage to find them), so you'll be spending a lot of time in the elevators.
F. O.
Wake Up is a great hostel to stay. I stayed there for 3 nights and I had a great experience, the staff is really friendly. Every day they've got different leisure activities including parties, tours, beach walks. It's really worth it, great value for money!!
H. H.
Good hostel, really nice personnel. Room ventilation is good. Quiet after 10 pm, so it is easy to get a good night's sleep. Beds are nice and there is a good locker space on the rooms. It is close to the train station and nearby a big woolworths supermarket (5 min. walk).
B. S.
Stayed for one night in this hostel. There was a double bed as a bottom bunk and single on top. The room was pretty bare apart from a wall mounted TV and a hanging rack. It was quite spacious. It was a good location, set in the area of many of the other hostels. Seemed to have quite a party vibe. Slept well on the provided sheets and blanket, although the door was rather thin and let in a lot of noise from the corridor. Towels were also provided for the well spaced bathrooms.
A. B.
Ideal for younger generation. But the place is along the main artery of Sydney's shopping and must see places. Central station is just a across the street. A huge plus for making your life easier when in Sydney. They also offer s lot of perks and several tours for guests for free. Awesome reception team to assist you. Checking in is a breeze.
A. H.
The only problems I can think of are things unavoidable in hostels - a bit of noise, sharing with strangers, and collective bathrooms. But for a hostel, this is one of the best I've visited. Great events to keep even the most antisocial traveler busy, cosy rooms, impeccable amenities and great staff. Best of all, amazing location for a steal. Will definitely be back
M. v. d. V.
Really nice hostel with spacious rooms. The bar will get your night started, if you're over 25 you mind find the crowd there a bit young. But you're in Sydney and there are tons of other bars and clubs that suit your needs.
As always the other travelers will make or break your experience in a hostel but somehow I was in a dorm 100% awesome people. Save for the one hostel employee who came in laughing and shouting at 2AM and proceeded to order pizza and wings to eat in the dorm. Can't win em all!
D. J.
I stayed at the Wake Up Central location and it's a nice clean hostel with a good location near transit but my experience did not live up to the hype. If you plan on sleeping and are staying on the first or second floor you can hear the bass from the hostel bar/club starting from 9-late. Even sitting in the lobby lounge during those hours is somewhat unbearable. The food at the Side Bar was not very good despite being warned by other guests how subpar it was and one guest ordered a pizza from a delivery place on free pizza night. I orded the wings and they put chilli sauce on them which i've never seen (why not put the bbq sauce that they provide complimentary). The chips were about the only good thing. Some staff were rude when I was at the bar during a busy night I watched one of the kitchen staff push multiple people including myself out of the way to get by. When asking for a complimentary coffee card reception acted as though they never heard of it and told me they don't do that even though there are literally posters everywhere throughout the hostel stating you receive a free coffee when booking on their website which I eventually got (I was suppose to receive the card on check in apparently). If you want to use the kitchen between 2-3pm or after 10pm it closes which is inconvenient and I saw multiple people frustrated even myself when all I needed was hot water for a noodle cup which I had to wait 30 min for. Not all of these things were necessarily their fault but I personally will not be back. On a positive note it was the first hostel i've stayed at that had free wifi in the rooms. It's one of the more expensive hostels and if you are the party type I would recommend staying at a different hostel and going to Side Bar if you want to meet other travelers.
r. p.
i stayed here in may 2001 and absolutely loved it!
having never been travelling before i booked this hostel got on a plane from England and ended up here!
very clean and well looked after!
staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to help you.
staff regularly organise film nights and there is also a night club downstairs which was pretty cool and as i was on the 6th floor no noise either.
all in all a great place to stay - thank you
D. O.
Great location. Excellent kitchen. Good condition premisis and they keep it clean.
It's the best Sydney hostel I have stayed at, and I've tried a few.
Tip: book direct
A. E.
I stayed there just one night and it was nice. The room where I stayed, had air conditionning. And the internet was good. Bathrooms and toilets are clean. It was such a good place.
But, I didn't have any pillowcase that night. I was too exhausted, I didn't ask for at the reception. But I am pretty sure there will give me one.
Z. H.
Great for the location, right by central, clean facilities... one thing that could be better would be the amenities in the kitchen, when I travel I cook and make my own food to save money and the kitchen amenities seemed to be lacking of sharp knives and utensils for simple task such as making sandwiches and cooking pasta. This would help with large use of the kitchen between 9-11am... overall great!
R. B.
I stayed here 4 night. Really impressed with the hostel. Runs like a hotel. I had a private room, was clean and comfortable. Shared shower and toilet facilities. Found them to be clean and available.
D.
Friendly and super lovely staff, clean and comfortable facilities and generally a really laid back, positive vibe. I had an issue with the online system when booking my room and the staff were really considerate and went above and beyond with their customer service - a rare quality seen in hostels.
F. K.
I had a nice stay at this hostel, its a very clean and welcoming place.
The staff is cool and friendly, the daily events are fun. Special thanks to Clara who brightened my day despite the bad weather.
A. W.
This was a great first place to stay in Sydney. It's right at Central Station, the rooms have great city views, and the desk agents are extremely helpful.
There is also a cafe attached and a bar in the basement. So if you are just arriving in Sydney it's a good contained place to start your adventure from.
s. H.
Good clean hostel located near central station easily walkable to the main sights of Sydney. Stayed in a 10 bed dorm which was spacious and clean. Facilities. Would only day that the backpacker activities where all based around the side bar attached making it rather commercialised. Overall a good hostel in a great location would visit again!
R. R. C.
Everything was good at the hostel, you pay a bit more than in others hostel but you get free wifi and the most important a clean and comfortable place to stay.
The only thing that I just hate it's that they have a noisy way to promote their events... You can her the audio in all hostel including the rooms. So when I just arrived, I was sleeping to try to get over my jetlag when I heared:"wake up, wake up, wake up, don't forget that...", so bother!
S. M.
Loved most things about this hostel. Everyone was super friendly and helpful has something on every night at the bar. Rooms are spacious but if one person wakes up the whole room does. Only negative.
A. D.
Good hostel overall.
Rooms were clean. Security lockers provided, but you will need your own lock. Laundry facilities provided on every floor. Free day WiFi pass and free coffee when you book. Light at every bunkbed with a mains charger on the light for easy use.
In terms of location it's right outside the central station and about a 2km walk to circle quays.
All in all good time there.
M. R.
Incredible staff, and very welcome hosts. a variety of social events to get the get to know each other better, while providing entertainment and knowledge about the city. Many amenities included. Rooms were clean, showers clean as well. Overall, a great experience in getting to know the city of Sydney for the first time period
P. M.
It's great for socializing and very *central* great place to start your journey. Gets quite expensive in the long run / summer time. You might develop unconditionnal love for wine and cheese night. Which is fine.
C. C.
Friendly staff and the accommodation was clean and tidy. Everything was easy to use/find. Good atmosphere - even on a Sunday night! Great location too. Really recommend it.
K.
Stayed here for a week and had a good time. One the most apparent things you will notice at Wake up is that they take security very serious. You get a pass to your room which is required if you want to go upstairs/your room. There is also a washing machine, kitchen and common areas where you can relax. The wifi is really good and fast as well although i did have problems logging in on my laptop. The only negatives I have is that the kitchen only has 2 gas burners per station and it gets very crowded. Also one my rooms was really cold as well. Despite this still the best place you can stay in Sydney, its secure, clean and ell taken care of.
G. K.
Im always staying in hotels, but after seeing the reviews for Wake Up thought I will give a try, and it really surprised me!!! $35 for a pretty excellent location for a traveller; central station with only 15mins trains to Sydney international airport; amazing staff; even the beds were fine and nice, lockers inside the room. Some hotels are a lot worse if you choosing a cheaper one. So mine call is 5/5. Thanks guys
B. H.
Lived here for 72 days after living in the Wakeup Bondi location for several months. I dont have anything bad to say about this company or this location. As far as hostels go this is the Ritz. Good staff, good location, it's a good balancefor people that want to get a good nights sleep or those that want to have fun and meet people. Thanks guys for a great time!
D. P.
Absolutely lovely hostel, super clean and well kept with a lively atmosphere and lots of daily activities. Facilities are spot on and the free WiFi works a charm. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!
K. S.
Wake Up! Sydney is a lovely place to stay at. The location is great, pretty much in the heard of Sydney right next to Central station. Darling harbour and Chinatown are about a 5 min walk away and so are more then a dozen convenience stores. The Opera House and the Harbour Bridge are about 40 min away but with Central station so close by getting there isn't a problem.
The people at the reception where Nice and helpfull. If your room isn't ready you can store your luggage for free.
The room we got is room 711. It's a two person room with our own bathroom. The size of the room is fare, we have had enough room to move about with a lot of our stuff unpacked. The room is clean, so is the bathroom. There is a small table with at chair and a coat rack and there is also a tv. There is a big window with a nice view of the Railway Square. The bed sleeps very well, the matrase isn't hard (about a medium) but maby a bit short, but my girlfriend doesn't have a problem with what. There are only three downsides to this room. 1 you are is the heart of Sydney and hear the traffic and the people on the street, even at level 7. But thats to be expected when you stay so centrale so no problem here. The second down side are the thin walls, you can really hear what our neigbours are doing or when someone leaves there room. The hostle provids you with free earplugs and eye-mask but i don't know how hygenic those are (didn't use them) and the third down side is the crecking of the bed, even a small movement makes it creck but not loud enough to keep me awake.
All in all awake Up! Sydney is a great place to stay and you get a fare room for your money. I would recommend it to others and give it 4,5 stars but since i can't give 4,5 i'm very gladde to give out 5 ;-)
J. T.
Good location across the road from Central train station and next to major bus hub. Friendly, helpful staff, clean amenities, God room (private). Kitchen fridge and grocery space a little limited but seems common to all hostels.
N. S.
The hostel is New and clean. The staff is super nice. The tv "room" is not very big for a hostel like this. The kitchen is good but also too little. The people are staying in their groups so it's not really social. The events are great like the beachwalk and the City tour .
T. H.
India and Agathe were so welcoming when we first arrived! Made the stay feel more like at home. Setup of the whole hostel was awesome. Very clean! Kitchen was A+. Would recommend!
I. V.
I honestly couldn't have had a better time. The staff was phenomenal and friendly and helpful. I met so many wonderful folks staying here and the planned events are not only an amazing deal considering most are free, but also help you get to know other travelers as well as Sydney. I cant recommend this place enough.
N. C.
This hostel offers several room accommodations, you can have a private or a shared room. The front desk is very helpful, I was able to rent a towel and purchase an outlet converter. It's also conveniently located (4 minutes walk) next to a large train station (Central Station). It's also close to a decent foreign currency exchange. But also watch out for backpacking agencies that overcharge!
G. L. L.
It very nice! Not as nice as Port Lincoln YHA in Port Lincoln. It however is second. Australia has the top two out of the three best hostels I have stayed at on 6 continents. Very clean, very friendly staff, great location and feels like home. Only negative was the electronic door swipes had to get my card reset like five times and the basement bar music level. If you hear and feel on the sixth floor it's a little loud. I recommend that clothing hooks be installed in the 4 bed mixed and men's bathroom.
B. E.
So this is my second time staying here in the last 3 weeks. The place is busy but clean and a great opportunity to meet new people with their free tours, Twister competitions and other explorations across the town. The thing that makes them stand out is the staff! In particular Agate who is a guest relationships aka mini fairy. Always looking after guests and new guest. The manager has incredible talent in recruiting staff that are friendly and that actually care....! Good job! I will be back soon!
C. R.
Awesome place to stay in Sydney! The rooms and the bathrooms are clean. They also have a ton of common space and room to put your own food in the refrigerator. They have walking tours and other activities going on daily that are free and worth it!
L. P.
Really good position straight in Sydney CBD! Comfy beds in clean rooms , hot water , laundry room , and the staff is really helpful and great, respectful and friendly , i’l say really professional and 24/7 !
M. P.
I had I problem one morning and the girls at reception help me in everything. They call the ambulance and they always ask about my condition. They care about me and I was so happy to stay in that hostel. Very big and friendly, the room is large and you don't have too much space but of course, is a hostel.
N.
Wake Up is a great hostel in Sydney! It's not very cheap but the location, the cleanliness of the dorms and bathrooms and the atmosphere is excellent. There's a small bakery where you can buy something for breakfast and a nice bar you can find downstairs. The staff is helpful and kind and they can speak different languages like German or French. I can recommend it for every backpacker!
C. F.
I'm from the US, and this hostel has made my experience in Australia 1000x better than expected. Young crowd, amazing club, and all the access points to tours, buses, trains and coaches are across the street (literally). Met some amazing friends the week I spent there and still talk to them today. If you're looking for a hostel and you're 18-30, this is the place for you.
D. Z.
Good price, clean, excellent location. Lots of space, lots of floors. Has a bar/club downstairs, so they don't allow drinks in rooms. Can't even hear the bar upstairs. Weekly schedule of events. Tours, events, activities. Travelex ATM in the Lobby. Close to China Town and downtown. Right next to Central Station, which will get you anywhere. Rooms are very open. Honestly, I think they could have fit four more bunk sets in my room, and it would still have been spacious, there was so much empty space in the middle of the room. Bathrooms were clean. Washer and Dryer available, but like 4 AUD per cycle, plus a dollar for 2 loads of detergent in the vending machine downstairs.
A. P.
This hostel is a really nice hostel. The staff are friendly and really helpful - with free advice on how to find a job and about travelling around Australia, they really help you find your bearings when you arrive in Australia. There are lots of activities which you can get involved in to meet people and explore the city. The rooms and bathrooms are really clean. The kitchen is nice, the only problem is there aren't enough pots, pans and cups to go around so you have to plan when you want to cook to be quiet times so that you can get a pot. Wake up is an expensive hostel but I think that it is worth it because of the cleanliness levels and the fact that it is so well set up.
M.
I stayed for 3 nights and that was enough.
Location was good that it was by the main station but not great if you wanted to walk around and see the place as you had to walk quite far before you got anywhere.
One night there was no water due to works that were going on outside and then the next morning there was no hot water - not great when you've spent all day out an about and you're wanting a shower. There was no prior warning that this would be happening, a sign would have been helpful.
On my floor (level 3) there were only two shower cubicles which actually locked so if it was busy and needed to have a shower you'd have to make it obvious you were in the ones that didnt lock so someone wouldnt walk in.
Staff were great apart from one, don't know his names but i asked for dinner recommendations on my first night and he didn't really have anywhere to suggest just said this area is good and drew on a map. Well the area he sent me didnt have any resturants and meant I was walking around in the dark by myself in a city I'd only just arrived Luckily I found somewhere lovely myself.
M. M.
This was such a welcoming place for a young traveler who's never been to Australia before. As soon as I checked in, I was informed of numerous events that showed me around Sydney at a much lower cost than I could find elsewhere. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and Side Bar was an amazing treat to have right downstairs every night. I was very pleased with the cleanliness and would definitely recommend for any young adult looking for a fun and friendly place to stay in Sydney. Thanks again Wake Up!
D. D.
Wake up hostel is very nice. The rooms are clean and well organized, the facilities very good and the built in food places are excellent. BUT, when make a reservation, do so by phone, NOT BY COMPUTER. They don't handle computer reservations efficiently, and you could find yourself without a place to stay in Sydney as they will not confirm or deny space for over 24 hours from the time you request a booking.
M. V. M.
Was one of the best hostel where I was here in Australia. Clean, organised, good environment and with friendly crew.
G. G.
Small cozy double room with bathroom. Clean, neat and comfy bed. Nice window with views of city. Directly across from central train station. Friendly and helpful Staff. Funky vibe. :)
C. T.
Very convenient, it is near the Railway Station..just cross over. Easy..you can see the building "WAKE UP".
Receptionists are very friendly and professional.
Wifi is automatically accessible after you have checked in, so it is amazing..create a good feeling.
Receptionists at the Counter are very friendly, helpful and thoughtful.
I will be back again..and maybe next time with family or friends who wish to explore Sydney.
I feel home and i got a good sleep. Thank you for giving me the private room..appreciate it very much.
Happy working dear dedicated Staffs and keep it up...take care.

This hostel is in a GREAT location. I stayed in a private room w/ a friend so the room was spacious. It's close to the city center so you can get to wherever you want to go. Bathrooms could use a proper cleaning, as it gets pretty dirty.
J. L.
Stayed at Wake Up! for a month and a half in Sydney and loved my time there. Many who hang around the hostel so it's a great place to meet other travellers but also a comfortable place to live for working in the city and coming back to just take it easy. Also great that it's just above Sidebar so a night out couldn't be easier!
P. M.
The dorm rooms themselves were just ok, had large lockable lockers, were very clean and each bed had it's own socket. The staff were very friendly, bathroom and kitchen clean and the Wi-Fi was fast. It's located right across the road from Central station, there is a coffee shop on the ground floor and side bar at the basement. It's super close to China town, 20 minute walk to darling harbour and a few more to the Sydney opera house. The most amazing thing about this hostel was the organised activities that really cater to the needs of especially solo travellers. They had something organised every day and night. I participated in the trivia night (my team came third and won a drinks/food voucher), the 2 hour (ish) coast walk from coogee beach to bondi beach, a 4.5-5 hour walking tour covering all the attractions you need to see and more, the free wine and cheese party and took advantage of the free drinks at the side bar too, including the foam party. Even if you're not a party animal, they have so many other organised activities and you don't really hear the noise from your room (I was on the third floor - they have rooms all the way to 7th) but you can get ear plugs just in case... I l just loved the experience at Wake Up!
K. A.
My stay at Wake Up! Sydney was the best hostel experience I have had yet. Super clean rooms (they deep cleaned, it seemed, every other day + I was lucky to score some tidy roommates), clean and large showers, great activities each day including a really thorough walking tour that takes you through pretty much all the main sites of the city. The only thing that would have been annoying was no free wi-fi, but that wasn't a problem for me since I had already rented a pocket wifi. Nice little touches like free sunscreen at the front desk, a travel desk, etc. Awesome central location and literally right across the street from the Central Station. Highly recommend!

Wake Up! Sydney Hostel
Always seemed to be someone at the front desk, which was great. The staff were also all pleasant and helpful.
Free wifi in the lobby, pay in the rooms.
ATM in the lobby is handy.
I was able to check in early in the day and ditch my bags to make site seeing easier which was great, some places are very picky about check in time.
I liked how I got the key on a lanyard.
I had a 4 person room. It was clean, but the bed was a bit thin and it was set out with a comforter not a top sheet which was odd to me. The locker was a bit skinny and barely fit my pack.
The daily announcement is startling as it starts wake up! But it’s at 5 or 6pm.
There seemed to be one boys and one girls bathroom per floor. It got a bit dirty unfortunately as the day went on.
Each floor also had one laundry on each floor with 2 washers and 2 dryers. They only took 2$ coins and cost 4$ each (8$ a wash and dry total). Luckily the staff are always ready to makes change. There is wash powder in the vending machine for $1.
The location is super near public transit – Central Station is down the block. It is also near food and convenience stores. In addition they have their own café and bar as part of the hostel. When you check in you get a voucher for one free coffee in their café. I got a late and it was good. I also tried the bar for dinner. The burger and fries were good, nothing amazing but not a bad price (relative to local restaurants) and not bad quality.

Great hostel, great vibes, great atmosphere and the German promotion girl was great Invited me to lots of good events and made my stay very enjoyable !
V. D.
Service is fantastic. The staff is very accommodating and they have a good variety of activities for the guests. Rooms are clean, as you would expect for the price point. Would definitely stay here again.
V. K.
Best bakpacker house ever, i never expect it to be so clean, organise and well equipped, we are so satisfied with our stay. Roys cafe serve awesome coffee and food! They even have complimentary daily activities, check on their website for more updates.
T. C.
Very nice hostel in the city center. Across from the bus and rail station. Clean rooms, bathroom, and kitchen. Definitely for the young traveler looking to party. If you stay on the first floor it can get loud since its on the same floor as the kitchen and TV room. The staff were friendly and helpful! You can find cheaper hostels in the city, but they won't be as nice or provide as much as Wake Up.
A. G. P.
City hostel. Super clean and modern facilities. The location is not so close to the beach, so you have to take a bus to go there, but that is really easy in Sydney. Public transportation works fantastically. Rooms are big, spacious and clean and have air con, which is mandatory if you go to Sydney in summer, as it might get boiling hot! Would def come back if I ever go back to Sydney!
X. A.
Is the best backpacker I have ever had. Recommend. Clean and nice. Friendly staff. Price worth. Just a bit dissapointed that there's no cold water provided. Overall, is a best place to stay.
p. c.
Stayed there for a week and really enjoyed! Fantastic location (right next to the central station), staff was super nice and helpful and the place is nice and clean. Also, they organise activities every day which helps creating a really nice and social atmosphere!
S. &. L. #.
Last minute deals @ $104/night for a private room - pretty damn good. Location is spot on, rooms are clean, free wifi and water is hot. What more could you ask for? Fewer drunk backpackers is the answer.
L. K.
Wake Up is the perfect spot to stay at in Sydney. The location is extremely central, the rooms and communal areas are spotless, the staff are friendly and the vibes are great! There's events going on every day and every night, making it extremely social and easy to meet like-minded travellers. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone travelling through Sydney!
C. M.
Cool building, conveniently located next to Central station. Tons of events and stuff to do and people to meet. Checking in was an ordeal. It was 22:00, I was checking in for just one night, I'm exhausted, I don't want to hear a 15 min talk about all the amenities and things to do in Sydney, I just want to go to bed.
I. L.
It's the best for far. Very clean, organized, the people there are amazing.
I recommend to do 2 amazing tours with Alba, Guided City Tour and Bondi Beach Walk.
At the reception I meet a Charly and Angelika two girls very friendly and funny that helped me a lot!
If I return to Sydney I will back here without a doubt!
J. C.
I stayed there on my first trip to Sydney 5 years ago. Great experience for backpackers. The place is (at at least was, back then) very clean and very friendly! I made friends on my first night there that I travelled around with later in my trip. It's a bit more expensive than the seedy hostels around the CBD, but it's definitely worth the few extra bucks.
M. J. K.
Very good quality hostel - excellent location, clean, helpful staff, excellent facilities - had such a good time. The elevators were pretty slow (in case you need to run to the airport!) but not much of an issue
M. G.
Perfect stay! Very clean, staff really friendly. Lots of activities during evening. I really recommended this place! It’s 5 minutes from the hostel to central station.
A. V.
Very friendly staff, clean rooms and the private rooms are are remarkably quiet for a hostel. Amazing location just across from the central station and walk-able distance to the centre.
J. A.
Been staying in central sydney for 5 months now and been to side bar way too many times🥴 but it’s the best most chill bar where you can be yourself and also enjoy yourself! Moe the bouncer will make you feel welcome which will give you the best entrance to the bar! 100% worth the visit!
K. J.
Probably the best hostel in Sydney, at least for young people. The rooms were nice, clean, had AC and each bed has a power outlet so you can safely power your gadgets while you sleep. Bathrooms and the hostel in general was very nice and clean. The bar in the basement makes it very easy to meet new people.
Only minus is that wi-fi isn't free.
W. S.
Nice, big, centrally located hostel in the city center and close to the main train station of Sydney. Friendly staff and good facilities. The bar downstairs (The Sidebar) has a discriminating entrance policy. The bouncers randomly accuse you of being drunk and don't let you in.
A. D.
I stayed in a double room without an ensuite on the third floor. It's good value, especially when you consider the location.
The only criticism is that the room was a bit stuffy. It would have been nice to let some fresh in through the windows, however they had been sealed shut.
T. Z.
With no plans at all for my East coast trip I came to the Travel Up desk at Wake Up in Syndey and came out with a fully booked and adventurous 5-week tour thanks to Chloe! I had an amazing time and awesome activities and I always felt like I had someone I could talk to if I had any troubles. Thank you so much for these memories on Whitsundays, Fraser Island & Co!
R. C.
Booked 4nights. Our first night was booked to a dorm room and the other 3 for private twin room. But we were upgraded to private room for all four nights which was great! And also got free wifi. Complimentary for my birthdayyyy!! 🎉🎉 thank you!! Rooms are clean and good location! Right across south concourse of central station!
J. H.
This is 5 stars for Linnea at the Travel Up! desk. If it wasn't for her I feel like my East coast trip would have been lesser than what it was. She continually helped me with my travels when issues arose and went above and beyond for me when I had a last minute issue that I had created myself.
My East coast trip was fantastic. Stefania chose a great range of options for me and I had an amazing trip.
If your at wakeup or the area and need a trip up the East coast planned, Linnea is the one to talk to!
As for wake-up, rooms are very good.
B. W.
5 stars for the staff, rooms cleanness and extra activities. The place is mega cool! I would ho down half a star for the lack of stairs and therefore "not so fun" elevator. But if you're in Sydney, go!
L. K.
Wake up Sydney was above and beyond anything I could have expected. The staff were exceptionally helpful, the rooms were comfortable and the location couldn't be better for connections around the city. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is on a budget but would happily use it myself as the place to stay...
V. G.
Best hostel in Sydney if you want to be at central. Very clean, friendly staff, fast wifi. The sidebar is really cool with fun parties by night. This is more for young people.
The kitchen is big but too small for all the people in the hostel.
If you want to be close to the ocean, go to Bondi Backpackers, this is the best hostel in Bondi Beach, and this is the same group as Wake up!
C. T.
Great atmosphere. Fun activities. Perfect if you are traveling by yourself. The staff was super friendly I returned for an extra night before leaving the country because of the friendly staff particularly Sophie.
C. S.
Great place to stay, awesome staff! Remember to always wear thongs in the bathroom and keep a can of GLEN 20 disinfectant spray with you. Health & Hygeine comes first. Centrally located to everything. Consider here BEFORE yha central up the road. You will not be disappointed!!
S. S.
The hostel is well-located in Sydney. The rooms and baths are unspectaculair. What makes the Hostel outstanding is its offer of activities like once a week for instance yoga, Congee-Bondee walk, city walk... in the basement of the building is a club with silent disco. It is a party hostel. The kitchen is the biggest us have seen so far but also very necessary due to the amount of possible guests.
J.
Great hostel! The staff there is super nice, all of them! The rooms are nicer than the regular hostel. And its a young and fun atmosphere.
R. F.
The best backpacker-accommodation in town.
If you want to have your perfect accommodation but you don't want to spend to much money for a really clean and tidy accommodation that's the place you want to stay during your holiday in Sydney.
The tidiest bathroom and kitchen facilities I have ever seen in whole Australia, the best Service and Travel Desk and also the in-house bar is quiet nice and cheap.
J. H.
Wake up Sydney had a prime location in the CBD and was close to restaurants and other venues. The rooms and bathrooms were overall fine in terms of cleanliness and staff was nice yet approachable. What I would have liked was the posters and advertisements within the venue concerning the bar right next to it. It stated that to tonight was free champagne and 5 dollar drinks at Sidebar but when we arrived, we were told that you had to have a band for it and it was typically 8 - 10 pm only which was not stated on the posters and it was extremely misleading.
H. S.
For daily week activities for youths to enjoy every nyt.. love it
Love the staff . They host and greet person.. welcome guests with cute smile .love everything of wakeup .
A. A. (.
Very clean and comfortable beds, and organized management.
Fantastic crowd and very friendly.
Side bar is right below, if you fancy some dancing 💃
Coffee is amazing ☕
S. F.
Great hostel, very clean and good facilities. Stayed in an all girls mixed room after a bad experience at a different hostel and it saved my trip! Would definitely visit again !!
Slightly expensive is all.
E. P.
Wake up in Sydney is a great place. The hostel has a lot of good facilities and its location is perfect. Close to shopping centres and close to the Opera house and final the habour. You can go to most off eveything. Furthermore the hostel makes a lot of good activities which make it possible for you to be social with many new people. I differently recommend the hostel!
N. M.
Clean, open friendly hostel, really convenient to find and get to and get from!really enjoyed my stay here. Safe for girls traveling on their own, good spot to meet other backpackers!
M. I.
I definitely had a blast staying here. I was able to meet so many different people via the planned activities which were second to none. The staff was very helpful especially Meehna. Keep up the good work!
C. G.
Great place, the staff is very friendly and you get to meet a lot of people.
The restrooms are cleaned every day and they even keep your baggage locked the day you check out for free.
K.
I stayed here on 12th February 2016. Wonderful place. Great deals, great staff, backpacking tourists are friendly. I recommend if you stay at Wake Up! To go to Side Bar. Great deals and they look after you.
M. N.
The 6p dorm I've had was really messy. (Guests fault). As I complained, they got me an other 4dorm room witch was really good, clean bathrooms to. Staff where very nice and more then usefull.
C. L.
Just OK. The place is well located and clean enough for a backpacker.
But the place is too big and not as friendly as other BP elsewhere in Sydney. There is no share food (salt, pepper,...) in the kitchen, which is too small for everybody.
Moreover it is pretty expensive and you can easily find much better for same price.
M. A.
Great location near the train station, so easily accessed from te airport. Clean and has a friendly staff. Our private room was nice and cozy.
J. A.
Rooms are better than most hostels but that's reflected in the price. WiFi works well throughout the building, has a nice cafe and bar next /inside it also.
J. J.
Great location close to central station with trains to all over Sydney. Room was clean and comfortable although the bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner. Also no free WiFi.
J.
Sometimes had problems getting hot water (I stayed on the 6th floor). Also, the bathroom sinks are either off or on super-high-velocity, getting water all over your shirt. But close to Central and easy to get to/from Airport, very safe and clean.
A. C. G.
The hostel is pretty cool, nice staff, nice amenities, but the two times I´ve been there I got sick. They put the air con really low, and despite I got a private room and asked for it to be turned off, it stayed the same.
c.
Good Hostel, clean rooms, the toilet facilities do need updating though and the showers are poor.
Some of the staff are really cool and make the hostel enjoyable and give you good tips on places to go.
T. D.
Loved the idea of backpacker's hostel. Very clean and comfortable. Well planned. Had some great conversations with roomies.
R. R.
It was a very clean hostel with nice bathrooms. WiFi was not free, but you get a voucher for booking through hostel world. The attached cafe and bar were also quite nice.
e.
Location is perfect. Close to public transport. But kitchen is too small for that amount of people. Its a Party Hostel. If you like it quite, then this place is not good for you .
J. H.
The hostel is located close to the organisation that we are travelling with and helps us find jobs in Australia. The rooms are nice, the service is good and there is a lot of oppertunities to meet new people and make new friends.
J. M.
it was ok but I expected more for that price. The rooms were very small and had no air conditioning (!!!). Also we didnt had a window to open so there wasnt a way to let some fresh air in. The elevator was annoying. It didnt worked every second time wich got me really angry.
I would recommend bounce hostel more. its nearly at the same location and you get so much more for youre money.
N. N.
The Wake up Hostel is a quiet good opportunity for the first nights you spend in Sydney. But after a while 45 Dollars a night for this quality are too expensive. You meet a lot of people from your homecountry but this accomodation isn't worth the price. The breakfast you get every morning is the least satisfactory thing I have ever gotten. You get your breakfast in boxes which reminds you of prision food. But they have a kitchen where you can make your own breakfast.
B. M.
What a hostel this is. You will not be disappointed the staff and especially the manager dev always go above and beyond to help you. By far the best hostel in Sydney. Get here and check it out.
E. L.
Best part were the free activities (ex- walking tour from bondi to coogi beaches). Very well kept but huge. Often had to wait for elevators and the kitchen was often way too crowded around dinner time.
J. M.
Amazing hostel! I think the best that I've ever stayed. Everything was clean, tidy and organised. The common areas are really useful. I highly recommend!
T. M.
Super hostel w centrum miasta. Hostel organizuje darmowe wycieczki. Miałam przyjemność uczestniczyć w jednej z nich i poznać trochę historie miasta. Polecam hostel szczególnie dla ludzi podróżujących solo.
B. G.
Reception area clean tidy. Staff helpful and knowledgeable. Good central location to trains light rail and buses. Within walking distance of many sight seeing venues. Cannot comment on rooms . Food service sl fresco is good. Order and pay at counter ten genrrous tadty meals at trasonable cost sre delivered to your table.
S. S.
friendly staff and the hostel is really central, everyday they have good acitivities and allaround it feels more like a hotel. i enjoyed my stay.
M.
Awesome very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and neat anf bathroom are absolutely clean. Probably the best hostel I've ever seen!
E.
Great location, good price, laundry on each floor, kitchen, no free breakfast, youth and party oriented, don't expect restful sleep in shared rooms
P. S.
Spotlessly clean, good cooking facilities and superb showers - spacious hot and powerful!
Staff all super helpful, definitely recommended. Book direct for better rates.
M. S.
I had an amazing time at wake up ! I've met so many people and made great friends. The staff members are really friendly and Sophie is doing a really good job as a promo.
J. K.
Great Hostel.!! Clean, modern and plenty of things to do.!!
They even offer free ear plugs, incase your roommate sounds like a train.😂
A. K.
Good service, but not a comfortable stay. Very noisy as guests were not asked to keep quiet all nighy. Bathroom drain was stuck one night and dirty water overflew in the whole bathroom.
K. T.
Nice 24 hour service, kitchen gets kinda crowded at peak times. Good (paid) WiFi available!
Hostel is really clean over all.
B. B.
Hello, My name is Brent Bundy. I am on the start of the second leg of the Gina bicycle ride for cancer. I received an e-mail of the top 10 best hostels in the world and you made the list. I think when l get back to Sydney, l will stay a wile before heading back to Portland Oregon in the State's, my home town. Truly, Brent Bundy " Google- Brent Bundy bicycling for Cancer in Australia "
M. R.
it was a really nice experience but the price was definatly too expensive. The side bar is a plus and the coffee shop too. When I arrive I saw a beautiful place and I was excited but when I came to my room my roomate didnt talk to me so much I had the feeling that it take a time to be part of a group in this kind of place. Anyway, the room was clean and the staff really friendly.
M. k.
I love wake up, great people, great clean accommodations, funky decor, amazing restaurant. Best hostel you can stay at in Sydney, only downside is it's a little pricey on a backpacker's budget.
S. F.
Pretty good hostel...it's a party hostel so they'll give you free ear plugs...also they need to really change their blinds ...free eye masks doesn't cut it
M. B.
Great good value hostel. Really clean and with great facilities (booking agency, laundry and downstairs bar). Never too loud.
B.
I stayed in three hostels in Sydney and this was my favorite. Clean living and bathroom areas. And Side bar in the basement is a great place to hang out or party.
C. G.
Great prices and environment, food and bar all on premises. Staff very professional and helpful.
M. A.
A modern hostel placed in the best location, near everything. Is not cheap but you have everything you need. The restaurant serves good breakfasts.
A. G.
Everything was very clean and the staff is very friendly and always available.
So many things to do at this hostel.
I recommend it.
D.
I'd say one, if not the best hostel in Sydney. Between this and YHA it's a tough battle, but they sure cater to backpackers the right way
A. M.
Very good facilities, clean bathrooms, great beds (finally no squeaky bunk beds), good location. Only bad thing is that is kinda noisy at night, but that's about it.
W. F.
With Sydney's hotel prices going crazy. This place offer reasonable options at ok price. It's not fancy, but the private rooms are quite nice and clean. The location is just fabulous!
S. M.
Good WiFi. Comfortable beds, great showers, very clean throughout. Cost £65 for a private room - not bad for Sydney
P. Y.
This hostel is not as cheap as the others, but it's very well located and super clean. The staff is very nice and there are many activities to do everyday.
N. N.
Very good choice for backpackers. Cheap accommodation starts around just $40 daily. Central station is nearby allows you to travel to and from almost anywhere with ease
H. W.
Loved the service desk and cleaniness of the space for the budget range. The shared bedroom is a bit tight to house more than 3 bunk beds though.
J. P.
It's definitely a bit more expensive then other hostels in Sydney, but therefore you get a clean room with lockers, good mattresses, clean bathrooms, an awesome kitchen and lots of communal spaces.
S. B.
By far the best hostel I've stayed at in Australia. With events on every night and staff like Liam, Lucky and Sammy the place is bound to be successful 10/10
S. S.
Solid hostel with good location. WiFi was working well. On the downside, our room was poorly soundproofed.
M. G.
Friendly staff free breakfast and good location. 5 min walk to the rail system
C. F.
Awesome relaxing atmosphere 💜
Home away from home 🌈🌈🌈🌈
A. Z.
Building and rooms were very clean and updated. The staff is amazing here! Very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend to any young traveler
S. S.
One of the best place for backpackers. You can meet new people with he same purpose.
Make new friends and enjoy together. People from different countries at one place.
E. S.
Great location. Our blinds were broken which meant an early morning wake up call. Other than that staff were really helpful and informative.
J. M.
The bed was comfortable and quiet, the bathrooms and dorm were clean. Good for a first time hostel experience
D. K.
Big nice Hostel. A lot of people (backpacker). Next to Central Station in Sydney. Best way to pick your bus train or flight to yournext destination.
林.
There is my first package hostel when I came to Sydney. It is a unforgettable place. There so many Germany live here. If you want meet some Germany friend. I thought here is the best place.
h. l.
The best hostel I've stayed in, clean rooms, clean bathrooms, excellent staff members, and exceptionally fast WIFI. Highly recommended !!!! Thanks WakeUp, you guys are awesome !!!!
D. S.
Very clean rooms and facilities. Fun "events" nightly. Very friendly and helpful staff. Don't come here for relaxation though, it is definitely party focused
H. H.
The free walking tour was really good, Highly recommended. Kitchen gets a bit crowed so dont plan on cooking something complicated and one of elevator failed while I was staying there but otherwise very good
S. W.
Had an awesome stay!!! Super friendly staff, really clean, fresh rooms with great facilities. One of the best hostels in Australia!
M. S.
Well if you are in your early 20th I think it’s great place to stay, but not if you are around 30 and you are not keen to party. Huge, noisy but really good located.
A. R. M.
I think this must have been one of the best backpackers I have ever stayed at. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the place is clean and tidy. The location is perfect!
G. r.
Pros: Centre of the city, affordable, good place to meet people,
Con: u can hear the sound from the bar in the basement from the room depending on the floor..
S. M.
Super clean hostel w/ great vibes. 10/10 recommend. Great location in Sydney, fun events & super helpful and friendly staff.
A. W.
Great hostel and good activities. They come to the room to promote them and all really friendly especially Aggy!
K. “. S.
A great modern hostel right in the heart of Sydney. Very clean, spacious rooms. Good vibe. Have stayed here on multiple occasions.
M. M.
Clean and very nice hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. Only minus for this hostel is kitchen opening times 6am to 10pm.
S. G.
Good price, awesome location, really good service, clean but the kitchen is a mess, the fridge are always full.
M.
Clean, friendly staff, private lockers, good wifi, top location
Probably not the best joice, if you‘re looking for a really quiet place
I‘d come again if i could
H. F.
Jill is a great receptionist. She is very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this place because of her. Thank you :)
T. J. K. (.
Stayed here in July 2005. Great hostel. In the centre of the city and near the train station. Clean with a great social scene and bar.
G. D.
Great hostel, a bit loud at night since there's a nightclub in the basement. But just go join the party that's why you're in Sydney anyway right.
E. N.
Good location. Infront of central station. Surround by a lot of travel agent and cafes. The place comfortable but dont have a private room.
L. H.
Overall this hostel is amazing. Only downside is the Wi-Fi, which is usable for surfing, but definitely not for working.
T. B.
Comfy beds lockers light and chargers foe each person. Good showers and toilets. Sidebar downstairs. There's always something going on
M. S.
It's a great place to stay in. The vibe of the staff is awsome. Also it's near Central Station so you can go anywhere within minutes.
K. V.
Had a wonderful stay here. Very clean rooms and shower facility, and very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend
F. H.
Massive hostel! Friendly staff, got upgraded to a 4-bed dorm. Kitchen was a bit dirty but huge. Lots of activities.
Z. A.
Good facilities and friendly staff. Great location right next to central station. Personal power outlet by every bed was great! No complaints
M. P.
Best and cleanest hostel in Sydney with also activities and free events every single night of the week! The only place worth staying!
K. L.
It was a great stay.
Service and cleanliness are very good.
Location is fantastic.
Nothing really to complain about.
P. R.
I only booked in for 3 days and stayed a fortnight, was brilliant, especially the side bar and beer bingo, bearing in mind this was 2007, and there was no indoor smoking ban in NSW, the craic was mighty!
R. B.
Good hostel, great facilities, easy to meet people. Staff are all really helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend in Sydney
A. L.
Very clean! Very friendly and helpful staff! Bed was super comfortable. Would stay there again!
I. J.
It's one of the best hostels I used to stay in. It's very clean and it's very central as well. Unfortunately I think that it's a little bit to expensive.
D. B.
Generally nice hostel, clean, quite (enough) rooms and helpful staff. Biggest draw back is its just too big.
F. S.
Good hostel, excellent facilities and helpful staff. Could have been a bit cleaner.
O. R.
Love it! Great hostel and do a lot to create socialising, very good if you are travelling alone
G. T. B. A. P. L.
This hostel was very modern and hip. Also its in the heart of Sydney so you can walk to many places and enjoy the nice street view as you walk!
A. M.
One of the nicest hostels I've stayed in, and I've been to about 20 of the past 2 months. Would happily recommend.
O. U.

Terrific location right next to Sydney central. We stayed in a private room on a higher floor, with a big window. Cheap but cheerful, exactly what we needed.

Very nice hostel with helpful staff. There's some sort of event every night and a bar downstairs open to the public as well.

Nice like a hotel and best hostel I have been to meet people. Foam night is the best at the club there.
N. L.
Great staff, good beds and amenities as far as hostels go whilst being in a very convientient central city location 10/10 👌
D.
Very clean, nice rooms. Quite noisy though, because of Sidebar (a bar located in the basement of the house).
C. B.

A. C.
Check in was a breeze and the staff were accommodating. There are nightly social events and plenty of interesting people to meet.
G. M.
Good place for students and young people, party folks keeps you awake all night long if you are elderly.
A. j.
Excellent location with Sydney Central Station just 100m's away. Although, a bit more expensive than surrounding one such as YHA.
L. L. Y.
Easy check in check out. Rooms are basic yet clean. Had a great stay.
R. E. c.
Now this place is a great backpackers such a colourful environment multi themed levels and big lobby computer aria with down stairs bar my choice when staying in Sydney .

Good and friendly staff.
The included breakfast is just a box of cereal milk and a dry cupcake.

Nice place. Clean and well-maintained. Problem is the temperature. It's too cold everywhere. I wish they turn up the temperature a few degrees.

A.

A great place to stay. The location in the center and the best attention from its staff.
