C. G.I had a stay of 2 months in 2012 at Zing Backpacker. This hostel is not that bad. Staff was OK when I was there. Facilities were clean and functionnal as well. Rooms were a little bit dirty and not really spacious (some have no windows) but I was in a "long stay" room with balcony (which was not really safe), and staff came less often to clean the room. Kitchen was really small a that time and quickly full of people cooking when it was time to eat. But the ambiance was good in general and I met some really nice people over there. If you want a relaxing place, you have not to forget that this is a youth hostel, where people comes from all around the world, and is situated in the hot place of Sydney called Kings Cross. Plenty of bars, shops, supermarkets, restaurants and fast food. I recommend for backpackers who wants to find a cool place, and have a great time in Sydney. Rates become highly expensive for Christmas and NYE!!!
H. M.I have absolutely loved this hostel. I've stayed at 3 different hostels so far in Sydney and this one is my absolute favorite. I have a four person room, and I feel like it's definitely big enough. We have a mini fridge in here, a cabinet for clothes, a cabinet to lock up important things, and a cubbie to keep even more stuff in. There's a large mirror for getting ready. The whole hostel has a very open feel with lots of sunny courtyards and lots of breezes. There are plenty of bathrooms and kitchens too. They have a place to lock up bikes which is nice. The staff has been sweet since day 1, even having someone help me carry my stuff to my room. People are always mingling and I've met super cool people so far. Everything that I've seen has been clean, although I will say soap always seems to be low in the dispensers but I just got some hand sanitizer. They also have a job board, which I haven't taken advantage of but may in the future. The prices are reasonable too-Im here over Xmas and NYE and it was cheaper than I thought. Love it, if I come back to Sydney I'll stay here again for sure.
M. J.Visited back in August and had an incredible time. I wanted to leave a review because I see some poor ones being left. I was traveling with my friend and we stayed at 3 hostels in the area. However, this was the only hostel where the people were friendly and attempted to be our friends. We had people to go out with and they made sure we both got home even after I had too much to drink. I got sick in the morning which is the most embarrassing thing to happen to you in a hostel but no one said a word to me. They were all kind and brought me medicine to make sure I felt better. This hostel is full of people that can and will become your life long friends if you give it the chance. The beds were comfortable and the outdoor area made for a great patio to chat and drink. Keep an open mind on your travels and appreciate the little things.
S. S.One of the most social and well-staffed hostels I've ever stayed at. People at the front desk are always incredibly friendly and helpful with directions and showing backpackers cool spots around Sydney. Communal kitchen with free appliances and cleanrooms. Planned to stay for a few days, ended up staying over a week. Affordable prices, great locations, great staff, great hostel. Will definitely come back to Zing and recommend it to other travelers !
A. G.It s pretty nice hostel 5 minutes walk from kings cross station. I give 2 star for 4 - beds female room which is very nice, there is a fridge, shelf for stuff and clothes , nice wooden floor and balcony, price is reasonable. 1 star for a staff, helpful. Bad thing - limited internet( 300 MB a day).
A. S.Love the all female dorm:) Clean with a nice little balcony and mini fridge. Patio downstairs is great for socializing. The owners here are a little forgetful tho... Make sure to get a receipt of payment.
**UPDATE**
They lost my facking id. Originally wanted my passport for key deposit and I gave them my Canadian driver's license and when I checked out early in the morning they couldn't find it before I had to leave for a bus. They promised they would send it to my friends address which it never showed up at. Hmmm.
H. W.We got a better room than we booked (incl. own bathroom), it was very clean and tidy. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. Cute and lovely hostel!
R. L.I stayed 4 nights in this hostel and what should I say Rooms are good I had an aircon, the beds where not noisy while moving and a new bathroom.
The brekky was ok (it's just an hostel) ;)
The check in was a bit of a challenge but that was just a problem in the program. Luckily Danny was able to fix it. Thanks a lot.

S. D.Zing Backpackers Hostel is a real fun place for for the youth in Sydney. Its one of the best and cheap hostels in the city and I really love it. The staff is amazing and the rooms are very clean and hygienic.
R. D.The accommodation facility at Zing Backpackers is commendable. This is one of the best budget hostels in town and every time I visit Sydney, I stay here only. I have always had pleasant experiences at Zing.

M.Pretty quiet and small Backpacker hostel in perfect location, no rubbish/trash always clean premises and less actually almost no noise of traffic and awesome staff who always have there smile and ears open, I can't ask anymore than this truly and BTW pretty low price accommodation it's a win-win for me

J. L.Nice stuff and free breakfast is available from 5am if you ask the stuff. So if you work in construction it's perfect. Something a bit to much party people but it's all right.
