This is a must visit when you are in this part of town. You will get quite possibly the best and most authentic gelato in Brisbane. The gelato is super fresh with the most amazing flavours. I felt bad as I was very indecisive as this was my first visit but the attendant was patient and super helpful talking about the different flavours and offered me taste tests. I ended up getting probably two of their staple flavours - Fior Di Latte and Bacio which had whole (not chopped or “flavouring”)hazelnuts in the gelato which was a welcome surprise. I found the pricing to be very reasonable, especially for the quality. $8.50 for the large cup which you could have up to 3 flavours, and at first you might think that the sizes are on the smaller side, they are deceptively big and the large would be more than enough for even the biggest sweet tooth. Overall this was a great experience with the quality food and service but also the shop itself is welcoming, and I love that you can see into the kitchen and watch the making process.

One of the best authentic gelato shops I’ve visited in Brisbane! From first arrival, the one staff that was on was super friendly and didn’t mind our indecisiveness. I was a bit thrown off that all the ice cream is covered, so it’s a bit harder to visually see what you want. For even the smallest size, you can choose 2 flavours- I thought it was great to get to taste more than one. For what you get, it is a bit more on the pricey side- and the sizes are a bit deceiving (cup is smaller than outside length). However, I can’t complain because the taste and service was too good. I feel a sense of family and teamwork at this shop, and it makes me too feel welcomed! Hope to be back soon!

We absolutely loved the gelato making workshop offered by La Macelleria! It was a fantastic night. We made two batches of fresh gelato as a group (stracciatella and hazelnut), learnt about the ingredients, the gelato making process and best of all we tried a heap of different flavours. You even get a takeaway tub! Be warned though - once you've tried it fresh flowing out of the machine you will wish that is how it is always served! Thanks Matteo - we had a wonderful night.

The shop has very efficient service. It also has two options for seating - inside and outside. The gelato is made locally. However there isn't a big variety of flavours. There are also only 3 sorbetti flavours which are vegan. The prices also vary by cup size (small to maxi) rather than by number of scoops.

The most amazing gelati in Brisbane, so creamy and authentic. However, it is so soul shattering going to get a bo & bo and one of the staff (italian girl - late 20's) gives you less than a quarter of a teaspoon of chocolate sauce as if each serving is being deducted from her paycheck. Now, I'm not greedy, but her serving size defeats the whole purpose of getting the bo & bo. You may aswell get a tub of plain vanilla gelati.

Our fav gelato place in Brisbane! We asked Giada to make us a cake for that special day where we said ‘I do’. We asked for a meringue look filled with their delicious gelato (including the authentic cassata siciliana, yum) and a few subtle orange details (less is more). It exceeded our expectations and blew our guests away. Such wonderful flavours inside a sensational artisan sculpture. (Tip: maybe just get a few iceboxes for pickup as travelling through Brizzie in the summer heat can be challenging with just a carton box) Six stars. L&J

(understandable due to covid) Just makes choosing what you want quite tough based on an extremely short 2 or 3 word description. Ambience is average at best with the only seats being outside which smelt like the council bin which is in close proximity. (or maybe even vomit) Ice cream was good.

This place makes incredibly good gelato, some of the best I've had outside Italy! I chose their pistachio and the 'mascarpone and caramelized fig' and both were delectable. The pistachio tastes of real pistachio, rather than almond essence as is normal at other places for some terrible reason. I will definitely go back!

After recently returning from a trip to Italy, we were disappointed. The flavours are average. I struggled to taste the Raspberry in the Raspberry Cheesecake, the Stracciatella had an underwhelming amount of chocolate pieces and whilst my husband noted that the raisins had been soaked in rum, the ice-cream in the rum and raisin had little flavour. I would not say the prices are reasonable either. Overall not bad but we've had better in Brisbane.

This is an authentic Italian gelateria in Teneriffe. We tried the chocolate, nocciola (hazelnut) and caffe mandorla (coffee almond). The flavours were wonderful - they took us straight back to Italy. It's a little pricey but this is small batch artisanal gelato production at its best.
