At Cuppa Turca Dondurma, there are various dessert options and I went for the sorbet range. I decided to try a lemon and dark chocolate sorbet and was impressed with the taste and serving size. This is the best Kunefeh in Melbourne! I have tried it from multiple places but this is the most authentic one. Their ice creams are divine. Brownie, coffee and vanilla flavour are the showstoppers. Only issue is finding a parking spot o that road 😒 but these desserts make up for it ❤️

Northcote now has some authentic Turkish cafe where you can get sweet deserts, ice cream and Turkish coffees. I ordered mastic coffee and it was amazing, it went so well with the sweet pistachio deserts, it was a perfect balance and a great way to end the night with something delicious. Kunefe was sooo good ! Gooey chewy cheese in the inside with crispy and crunchy noodle-like 'shredded filo' on the outside.We had it with pistachio ice cream - divine! I'll definitely be going back to try out more. Service was great, decent prices. They also have interesting middle eastern teas to try, I tried the pistachio one (menengic) - it was a little strange at first but does grow on you. Because it is made out of nuts it is caffeine-free, so great for that late night dessert.

I went there couple of years ago with a friend. It had good service. The variety of their menu was incomplete as we had a chat with the owner. He told us about making a pure Turkish ice cream here but ingredients were impossible to find or export. I took my Dad last night. We had to wait outside for a seat. Fortunately the owner recognised me and took us to a small table next to where they were making hot deserts. We ordered Turkish cut baklava and kunefe. Both came with Turkish ice cream. Yes! He nailed it. I hope they’ll open up other places.

This has to be my favorite dessert spot so far. A sugar haven with a few seating spots available and with this covid situation, its safer to take it out and have it against the beautiful chapel opposite. We had the kunefe with the vanilla ice cream and a baklava. The kunefe with their stretchy ice cream was an absolute delight. The kunefe is a string like textured sweet which goes perfectly with their stretchy ice cream. Go for the vanilla to complement this kunefe well. The baklava and the other sweets felt alittle too hard which was a disappointment, therefore I'd recommend to go with the safe kunefe! 1 Can be shared with 2 people

We visited for some late night ice-cream on Saturday evening. This place was a recommendation from a friend who lives in the area. It was fabulous. The ice-cream has a sticky and almost elastic consistency. It's a little bit stretchy. They have some fabulous Middle Eastern flavours like rosewater, halvah, and pistachio. Traditional dondurma (which means freezing in Turkish) is made from milk and two special ingredients, sahlep and mastic. Sahlep is a type of flour produced from orchids that provides a smooth velvety finish to the ice cream, while the mastic, a natural gum, adds a unique chewiness.After you taste this ice cream, you may most probably say that "I have never eaten ice cream before "

✅ This Turkish ice cream (dondurma) is absolutely amazing. It's such a unique texture compared to say gelato — it's stretchy and a touch chewy. You really need to try this out! ✅ The flavours of the dondurma are wonderful, they are not overpowering, but are rich enough to satisfy! My favourite was the Rose and Molasses & Walnut. The rose is not overpowering, it is subtle but such a wonderful flavour. The Molasses & Walnut is nutty and earthy! I was extremely impressed. ✅ The cafe itself is beautiful. There is a wonderful Turkish feel - there is plenty of different spots to sit. There is the lounge area, benches, a big long table and regular seating. ✅ Lots of Turkish desserts to try out and wonderful Turkish coffee. ✅ The owner is amazing - he truly wants you to come by hang out and enjoy yourself. He is very friendly and happy to chat! Do yourself a favour and head on down there! I cannot recommend it enough!

Nice traditional Turkish ice cream and some awesome deserts. I had Kunefe and it was delicious although it could do with more ice cream on the side. The Turkish tea is nice but it should never be $2.50. In most places it is offered free of charge as that's the way it is meant to be in the culture. Quirky enough to set it apart - my new favourite cafe in the area. A little Turkish gem with very friendly staff and really cool little stools in the back that’s like a Turkish corner. The coffee turns out really thick and strong with a little gritty texture and quite sludgy at the bottom. You can also get the stretchy ice cream here which is quite a unique texture but great tasting. A must try for any coffee connoisseur

Dondorma is really nice, not too sweet, but they are not flavoured enough in my opinion. All of the baklava and Turkish delight varieties are AMAZING. The Turkish coffee is decent, but definitely not worth $5. The décor is really nice and the space has a comfortable and relaxed vibe.

Favourite Northcote hideout!! Cosy and chill during off-peak hours, bustling and lively when busier. Turkish coffee presented beautifully, delicious kunefe, very friendly and informative staff. There are usually around 14 icecream flavours available, which are always changing. There are traditional Turkish flavours (halva, mastic, pistachio) as well as some unique ones (lavender, black tahini) as well as traditional flavours like chocolate and vanilla. Lots of vegan i/c, baklava and turkish delight options. Very ceative desserts & drinks unique only to Cuppa Turca. If coming in on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday night with a big group I'd recommend calling beforehand and booking a table because there is limited seating. A++ love this place!!!

A very unique and authentic experience. Visited for desert with a couple of friends to try the Kunefe with ice cream and Turkish coffee and Sahlep. The Kunefe was amazing, a decent sized one person serving or easy to share between two if you find it too sweet. Kunefe is made to order and as a result is served deliciously warm. A good experience and a must try, will certainly be returning.
