In a market that’s saturated with so many great ice cream locations, Lavezzi does not disappoint. I got the pistachio ice cream and Gahd dayum, it was so good. It was really creamy and the pistachio flavour was so strong and intense. It could do with a bit of texture in the ice cream but it is fantastic as is. Would definitely come here again for ice cream.

Friendly staff. If you go there often, they will know your favourites and make good recommendations based on your taste. Peanut butter and monella (their version of Nutella) and Kinderella are my favourites! Their icecream is creamy and SO tasty! Try to order melted chocolate inside the cone (instead of on the top of the icecream) for a pleasant surprise at the end of your desert.

The special Matcha ice cream is very delicious. Hopefully they will bring back the matcha ice cream to Carlton store even after the Lunar New Year has passed. The pistachio and bacio is always very nice. Hope they can do the blue cheese ice cream or something more savoury sweet like Olive Oil ice cream or Keso flavour in the new ice cream shop Kariton Sorbetes. But the texture and creaminess of Lavezzi is still better and probably the best in Melbourne so far.

One of the best gelateria in Carlton. Everything from their menu selection to their friendly staff, would compell you to come back again. And the best thing about this place: They Have Gluten Free Cones! Yep, this place is a gluten free heaven! Chris was really friendly and helped us picking out the best flavours (otherwise a very difficult job here, given the yummy choices). Would definitely be back for more!🤤🤤

I'm an avid gelato lover and Lavezzi have some of the best gelato I have tasted anywhere around the world. The flavours are always intense and pure to their description. The staff have always been wonderfully helpful. I don't see why people line up at other gelato shops nearby when Lavezzi is a hidden gem in Carlton. Highly recommended!

Extremely thick and creamy pistachio ice cream!!!!! Say goodbye to Pidapipo and head over to Lavezzi!!! This is so much better!!! Free chocolate on tap topping!! Both milk and white chocolate are available upon request. You can also ask for chocolate coating inside the cone!! YUMMY!

Perfect gelateria on Lygon Lavezzi gelateria brings real Italy to Lygon Street. The wonderful staff insist (and assist) you try many tastings before settling in your masterpiece. I think any combination would work as the flavours are wonderful. Not too much sugar is added as they say it kills the flavour. The gelati are held in lidded stainless steel refrigerated wells called pozetti which keeps them in perfect condition, a great idea for busy Lygon Street. The nuts are imported from Italy, roasted in house and turned into ‘Nutella’. They also have fruit sorbets, and lemon, strawberry and coffee granita served with panna (fresh cream), pure Sicilian.

The ice cream here is sooo delicious, and in my opinion, better than Pidapipo across the road, which usually has a massive queue! The nocciola flavour is AMAZING and all the staff are always really friendly!

I was there today 14/03 and Izzi's (Not sure if the spelling is correct) attention, kindness and patience was impressive. He even provided a wet towel to help clean the kids after the Ice cream. I'm a self confessed ice cream addict and had only tried this place 2 weeks ago. My husband thinks I need rehab after coming here during lunch 3 times in one week. We took my sister in law and her kids here today and they absolutely loved the strawberry and basil. My nephew just had to ask for one more spoonful before we left. We are locals to the area and have tried all of the parlors from Carlton through to Collingwood, I'm also a trained ice cream maker. Lavezzi is the BEST. Forget the one down the road with the queue, totally overrated. Do yourself a favour and get to Lavezzi, amazing flavour and mouthfeel.

This is hands down the best ice-cream in Melbourne! Do yourself a favour and order the Bacio by the tub....I'm telling you it's better than sex and that's not a statement I'd make lightly, although my wife did reluctantly agree :) The nuts are all roasted and ground on site and this gives the ice cream the most amazing flavour and the creamiest of texture and we have taste tested some of Melbourne's finest (pidapippo and gelato messina) but neither compare to lavezzi!

What can I say to describe the greatness of this place? I have bought about $400 (YES, that's FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS) worth of store credits just so I can enjoy litres upon litres of their delicious blissful home-made gelato! (We can buy 16 litres with that, not nearly enough to fill my tank though.) Their Pistachio is to die for. Rum & Raisin brings a whole new meaning to life, and the Bacio! Oh so delightful beyond words. The Hazelnut, Sea Salt Caramel and Coffee are heavenly! The most delicious gelato I can remember having. The mini size is perfect for that small taste of refreshing ice cream that tickles your mouth without leaving you feeling sickly sweet. I visited Lavezzi Gelateria three times recently during a one-week visit to Melbourne. It was so good we kept coming back. Great gelato, especially the pistachio and the berry swirl. Heaps better than Pidapipo down the road, and faster to get served. The staff were friendly too. Wish we could go back as we don't have gelato like this in Perth.

Three things out this place above the competition: 1. Taste. This ice cream just tastes better. Plentiful serving, plus they fill the cone with fresh hot chocolate (white or dark choc)... Amazing, delicious, generous!! 2. Quality Ingredients: the ice creams don't actually taste like sugar, rather they actually taste like iced versions of the flavours they are supposed to contain i.e. 'Hazelnut" really tasted like creamy rusted hazelnuts, "Honeycomb Crunch" is genuinely full of Honeycomb (as opposed to sugary 'crunchie' bar bits), "Dark Chocolate" was like creamy, icy, smooth dark chocolate. 3. Service: Chris, the nephew of owner, gave us the red carpet treatment for no other reason than he wanted us to enjoy their ice cream. He treated the next customer exactly the same: plenty of samples, suggestions, and smiles.

The best Gelato of Melbourne. I know the brand LAVEZZI from back home in Italy and I couldn't believe my eyes when I realised it was here in Carlton.
