Huge range of flavours! I tried the dragonfruit and lychee sorbet, and their low- sugar chocolate. Only complaint is that they put the dragonfruit flavour on the bottom.. and the chocolate on top?? Richer, fuller flavours should be on the bottom! And more delicate, lighter, subtle flavours need to be on the top!! Otherwise the richness of the chocolate masks the subtlety of the fruity sorbet as you're eating it. 😭

Got to try the flavours of the world today at Gelatussimo on Lygon street. They had a big sign up advertising their latest flavours and I ordered a triple cone so I could try all three flavours. The Hawaiian tropical coconut was my favourite but was interesting to try the Filipino Ube Cheesecake flavour as this was a new one for me.

GELATISSIMO GELATO, Carlton 📍popped into @gelatissimogelato just before lockdown to devour their new “around the world” flavour range. Their gelato is the perfect consistency and so creamy!! Love these new flavours because they have all the textures and toppings as well (including cheesecake bits and added Belgian chocolate 🍫 yum) My ultimate fave was the FILOPINO UBE CHEESECAKE 🇵🇭 🍰!!! SA GOOD. Good for a sunny day like today. The Hawaiian Tropical Coconut 🥥 was a close second!! 😋✅ Yummo 💚

Despite the wild and woolly weather outside today, I ventured out to get a sweet fix. My journey took me to Gelatissimo, which did not disappoint. The very helpful and friendly Alex talked me through his favourite 'flavour matching' combo's and gave me many tasters. They were all so fresh and the raspberry so real, it was a stand out. I went home with a tub of it, plus the hazelnut and vanilla. I'll definitely be back to Gelatissimo for my next sweet craving. The experience was very authentic and left me smiling this afternoon.

Ice cream is always fresh, made in store daily going by the sign they have up. Usually come here as their ice cream is pretty low calorie and still taste as good as all their competitors. Good variety of flavours, and they have sugar free options too.

This place simply has the best gelato!! Highly recommended if you are a gelato lover! Hazelnut and pistachio are my favourites but they have many more flavours to choose from. Shakes, cones, cups and takeaway. Open late and it's located on busy Lygon Street but we'll worth a visit!

Incredible! Went there last night on NYE at about 10.30pm and it was packed, with a line out the door and down the street a little. Such yummy ice cream with heaps of flavours including "fairy bread" and "chocolate brownie". Definitley the most incredible thing was the customer service; the guy being the only one there and staying open well past closing (also having been there since 6am). I'll be coming back 300% :) Thank you for your contagious positive and happy energy despite it having probably being very stressful.

Gelatissimo won my heart with their awesome chocolate sorbet. There's plenty of other flavors for us lactose-intolerant folk to choose from as well(but who needs that when there's chocolate sorbet?!). I hear everything else is also great (the mango gelato is apparently the best thing ever).

Have a well deserved desert after eating something in the restaurants around. Great variety ice cream flavours.. One of my kids' favorite places. I particularly love the coconut one... soft, creamy and delicious!

A great ice cream shop in the heart of Lygon street. I was told the products were made in house. As of Jan 2018 the prices were $5 for a cup or cone, one scoop $7 two scoops and $8.50 for three scoops. the staff were friendly and patient. They also offered taste testing. The only gripe was the music playing within the shop (10:30pm) was loud enough to make conversation difficult on the outside provided seating. Ice cream itself was fresh and was of good quality.

Good gelato but not the BEST as they proudly advertise. It is clearly made with powders and to be honest as you are here better you head 100 mt south and try the much better ice cream at "La casa del gelato".

Even if you cannot afford a sophisticated meal in one of Lygon St.'s many restaurants you should not leave the precinct without buying a GELATO.....Great place to get an ice-cream and sit down under the umbrellas to eat it whilst you watch the tourists walk on by trying to decide where they will eat their lunch or dinner.Highly recommended...Buon Appetito !!!

Usually only options for vegans are the sorbets at Italian gelato places. But this one had a few plant milk flavours as well. And they were subtly sweet and absolutely delicious! This is my favourite place for ice cream now!
