Despite a cloudy, windy day, I headed on over to Anita Bondi Beach for some of the best gelato! We asked the amazing team to surprise us with gelato flavours but also requested that they include the two limited edition Christmas flavours.. ‘Gingerbread with Caramel Cookies’ and ‘Pecan Pie’ because they just sounded amazing! The Pecan Pie was my definitely my favourite. As well as their famous gelato, they also serve frozen yoghurt. This was so light and refreshing. The fresh fruit gave it a little tartness which I love, as it can break up some of the sweetness. Highly recommend trying it if you haven’t before! Another surprise were the waffles. These were just delicious. Not too dry and they were perfectly paired with with nutty chocolate drizzle, fresh strawberries and of course, gelato! We were also given a trio of sorbets which was the winner for me. Every time I go for gelato, I always order the sorbets. The lemon/lime with mint was my favourite. This was super refreshing and it would be the one to order if you’re visiting after a big feed at one of the many surrounding restaurants in Bondi Beach. The gelato here is truly a work of art. They’re all finished beautifully with amazing detail on some of them. It doesn’t stop there though.. walk on over to the toppings bar down the end and choose anything from delicious sauces to fresh fruits to candy and take your gelato to another level. I can’t thank the team at the Bondi Beach store enough for such an amazing experience. If you’re heading out that way, be sure to swing by for some delicious gelato and say hi. They’re a super friendly bunch!

Absolutely delish stuff! There are quite a few really good 'chain' gelato places around Sydney that span the range from artisan to mass made but Anita is pretty much Goldilocks. Their gelato flavours are pitch perfect, the portions are huge and the prices make them brilliant value! They don't have as many varieties as say Messina. They do have a yoghurt with a toppings station, might be fun for the kids or for the kids in all of us.

I ordered the Belgium chocolate gelato! It was super creamy and delicious! It was extra busy with crowds Saturday night! But it was well worth it! I wish they had the coffee gelato, they only had the sugar-free coffee gelato. Maybe I will try next time!

AMAZING, and really hope to try again one day. First time visiting and the best gelato I've had in my entire life. I had the Banana, butterscotch, biscuit flavour. I love how they use an edible spoon, and the customer service was awesome.

There is always a long queue that goes towards the buchter. But its worth it. Ice cream is amazing. The best i have ever had. I do notice that it melts really fast. It must be more liquid-milk based coz it honestly doesnt stay in ice cream form for long in the cup. Also dont get waffle! You will make a mess for sure. The ice cream will run down your fingers. Get it in a cup!!!

I haven’t tasted ice-cream so good since ‘JP Licks’ in Boston. So creamy and delicious! The Belgian chocolate and Banana with Lotus cream are my favourite - so far! I’ll have to do a little more research when I am back for City2Surf next year. 😃😋

Anita has hit the Sydney ice cream scene harder than a peeved off Nick kgyrios serve. Unlike Nick, Anita has come to Oz from overseas. Then again, so has Rivareno, so I'll keep shtum about G.I.S. (gelato import syndrome). The only local that I'd rate in this mob, is the sky-rocket hot gelati Messina, which is local. The gelato at Anita is good to very good, depending on your choice of flavours. The pictured frozen yoghurt is light and not creamy, but as refreshing as a dip in the big pond across the road. At $9 for a small, no toppings, it would want to be. Anita is a good choice, not a great one.

Great gelato place on Bondi Beach. Parking can be an issue, and at certain times of the day the line snakes around the corner (so be patient and get ready to settle in). Besides that the staff are friendly, and the range of delicious flavours is very good. Very much recommend

I went for a nice walk around Bondi on a recent warm day and felt like an ice cream would be perfect. There are several options available at Bondi Beach, I chose Anita due to the huge line up of people waiting. It’s easy to see why this was happening, the gelato here is amazingly good. I decided on the magnum pistachio and salted caramel. The gelato is super creamy with the salted caramel great but the magnum pistachio is just heavenly. If you are anywhere near Bondi just go and check them out, you will not be disappointed.

DELIZIOSO!! I have been to Anitas countless times and it is always excellent. My favourite flavour of sorbet is watermelon and mint, which I always pair with something chocolatey of some sort. The staff here are helpful and put care and effort into their job. The Bondi Anita’s also has a good late night ambience for an ice cream catch up or as a substitute for desert at a restaurant.

Very popular place with friendly staff and good consistency. Excessively sweet though, and neither pistachio nor white chocolate had particularly good taste. Quantity over quality unfortunately, with the exception of the unique salted pretzel chocolate.

Actually the best gelato in Sydney... So good in summer, so many flavours to try! The medium size was wayyyyy tooooo big. No sugar options available for when you’re in need for that which is nice. Great gelato :) as a result there can be a big queue (see pic). However, this is well managed by the staff and moves reasonably quickly. Great selection (see pic of window) Small is $6, so maybe a tad pricey, however they somehow manage to get two good scoops in the small cone and its just really nice... so, worth the $ in my view.

With all due respect Messina and Gelatissimo, this gelato is more delicate, less sweet (in general), and has cool flavours (the others do as well though). I don't know if it's just me, but good gelato needs to have a sweetness to flavour balance. Too much sweetness over-excites the taste buds and taste reception suffers. As such, this gets my vote for achieving that delicate balance best, at least among Bondi Beach establishments. I've had cappuccino, choc-mint, coffee, strawbanana (or whatever it's called) and they were delicious. Recommended.

LOVE this icecream place! So many great flavours - but i almost always get the same flavour (Cookieman - vanilla and chocolate swirls with nutella and meringue pieces) $6.5 for 1 scoop. Generous scoops so 1 is always enough. Frozen yoghurt is popular too, $9 for 1 scoop and unlimited toppings! Also quite generous on the testers if you can't make up your mind :)

Definitely the best ice cream joint in Bondi. The ice cream is creamy and they offer a wide variety of flavours that are both old favourites and different. Very decent gelato; as with most places, some flavours are better than others. They definitely don't skimp on samples but if you have a hard time deciding, I find that they do better with their nutty chocolate flavours. Portions are quite big which is nice considering the price you pay. I also really, really like the froyo - don't forget that you can ask for more toppings when you're done! It is expensive though. Service can be a bit slow when they're busy but staff are generally friendly.

The best ice cream in Australia! It’s so creamy and rich in flavour, best ever, 100x better than Messina! Ah, yeah, the staff are fantastic! Specially the sweet Romanian girl (I’m sorry I forgot her name), best service in Bondi Beach! 🤩

Delicious creamy gelato in a very spacious location. Lots of choice. Staff very accommodating. Ordered gelato for 5 year old and the girl put it into a larger cup and flattened the top out so it would be more kid friendly/ safe to eat. Very thoughtful. Only slight downside is it’s a bit on the more pricier side and I paid 1.00 extra for 6 gummy bear toppings.

Awesome gelato, the pistachio one is the bomb. The staff are always super friend and helpful. Just wish they wouldn’t put a plastic spoon in it if you order a cone... I order gelato in a cone to avoid the plastic waste and it’s all in vain when they do that!

Best ice-cream in Bondi. The shop is a "must go" if visiting Bondi beach, especially in a hot day. Flavours of any kind, dairy free options are many too. Frozen yoghurt is available, and doesn't let you down either. The production line is just on the side, and the process is shown in front of you. The most of the times there is a queue, but fee minutes only are needed to get your favourite ice cream.

I love the gelato from here, it reminds me of Italy. Not too creamy, not overly sweet & full of the flavours it says its supposed to be. And the scoops are generous which I love. You can go crazy with toppings here or frozen yogurt, but I can never go past the gelato. Usually I try to stop myself at 2 scoops but occasionally I have to give into temptation & have a 3rd. Yes greedy guts for a reason!

This is Gelato Factory done right: Great and buzzing placement right facing Bondi Beach. There's an assorted collection of Gourmet gelato and a less visible placement of yoghurt toppings. There's a terrific diner vibe and late opening hours perfect for that after dinner dessert rush. Whoever Anita is, she really knows how to create a Gelato Factory and diner experience. Next stop: Franchising.
