Second visit to Haigh’s during my trip in Sydney, we had great recommendations from staff the first time but I didn’t get his name. Janna was really helpful and friendly today, thank you for the lovely customer service! They have a wide variety of chocolates to suit every taste, and it’s all very well packaged. We loved the milk salted caramel!

I recently went on a search for a dark cooking chocolate that was rich, smooth, flavourful but not too rich. I searched, purchased and then searched again, each time just not being satisfied with the flavour of the chocolates I was using. If you are in the same boat...start here at Haighs!! I made a mousse that hit every button, rich but not too rich, so full of smooth flavour, velvety and soft and easy to temper. Fast shipping too, only 1 day turn around. I got the 200g and will be back as soon as my mousse runs out. Also Haighs has a wonderful mousse recipe along with others. You won't be sorry. Worth every cent. (My mousse looks a tad lumpy but it's at the surface under is perfect chocolate mousse)

I went at The Strand Arcade and specifically look for Haigh's Chocolates due to it's popularity and because somebody recommended and told me that chocolates here are the best. It did not disappoint me. As soon as I walked inside, I was very overwhelmed of the huge selection and chocolate types/flavors that they have. I was staring at their counter because I don't know what to pick from their selections. The guy in the counter was very helpful and attended to my questions. he even let me pick one that I would like to try. I ended up getting 10pcs from their specialty chocolates and bought some almonds dark chocolate and some other packs that I took home in the Philippines. Tip: Ask for their best seller and don't hesitate to ask questions if you don't know what to choose.

Delicious chocolates and a wide variety for different taste buds! The friendly and bubbly staff helped me wrap my chocolate gift very nicely in Haigh's signature wrapping paper. However, the chocolate behind the counter is $16 per 100g which is quite expensive and they rarely have any sales.

Although the price can scare me off at times I just cannot fault them for the chocolate! I love just about every product from Haighs and will be picking up a frog at some point when they’re back! I’m in love with the chocolate frogs and the range for Easter is SO COOL!!! The taste testing is also awesome from the staff as I now have my eyes set on a few products for my next visit, I love bringing my nan chocolate from here and it’s normally a must do when I pop by QVB.

This is my favorite shop when it comes to purchase chocolate. For this reason i have just purchase some as a gift for a loved one. However i am so so so disapointed by the deliery option, which says *express delivery* for $15. It takes 3 days to deliver in the city couple block away from their shop. It is totally misleading to advertise express delivery and not specify the delivery takes 3 days. $15 to wait 3 days for a parcel to be delivered in 2021 is a bit much. Almost the price of the chocolate box.....

I visited Haigh’s many years ago in Melbourne and had a pleasant experience, but it now feels exceptionally commercialised. The prices have risen dramatically! A small bar of chocolate is around $13, as compared to Koko Black at the other end of The Strand where it’s only $10 and comes in a much more beautiful package with more exciting ingredients! I was expecting some sort of beautiful store display for Easter but the shop was just filled with soft toys for Easter. I was also never approached by a staff member, which could have easily improved my experience. A little bit of positive customer service goes a long way! I really enjoyed Haigh’s in the past, but $20 for a small bag of sugar coated almonds is a bit much! You’re better to go to The Nut Shop inside The Strand for much more reasonable options, or Koko Black for the fancier chocolates at the other end of The Strand.

Very busy just before Easter but great service and really friendly and helpful staff. The lady who served be even offered to change one of my items as she noticed I had bought a lot of milk choc items on only two were dark chocolate - which I didn't realise. After asking me if I meant to get the milk ones she went to the windows display and got the last two milk chocolate versions of the Easter eggs I had picked up. Really great service and that young lady should get whatever super choc bonuses you give your staff.

The chocolate I got, dark almond chocolate taste good and seems to have a good name with locals in general. I haven't brought chocolate for a long time but it was enjoyable and I have friends that love it. The shop didn't seem to have a big range, though there was a lot on the shop I saw the same products repeated in different locations of the shop, for example the dark chocolate coated almonds I got were in about 10 locations as were the other products to jack out the shop. But if you have a sweet tooth it's going to be for you.

I love Haigh's; without exception they are the best Australian made chocolates I've ever tasted. Although expensive compared to most, I almost always treat myself to a selection of their fabulous range every time I visit one of their stores (Strand Arcade and QVB in Sydney). They have a great range of all types of chocolates ... loose chocolates, gift boxes, chocolate frogs, freckles ... you name it, Haigh's will probably have it. You can also order from them online. What visit to Sydney City would be complete without a visit to Haigh's either in the Strand or the QVB? Get yourself a free sample then wander around checking out the bewildering array of chocolate combinations and choices - all appealing to the tastebuds! Rent isn't cheap and neither is top quality Belgian couverture chocolate but why not indulge and look after the economy while you're at it?! The size & shape of the shop is organized as best as can be but social distancing is still a bit of a mission with ignorant customers!!

Dark chocolate cardamom is just amazing and I also love the white strawberry. The truffles can be a bit rich and thick so depends on your taste. I prefer koko black for truffles and Haighs for blocks of chocolate although the ginger bar is good to share. The staff are busy but very fast and super friendly and the samples are a good way to get a quick choc Fix before you take your purchase home or to try new things- this is how I got into the white strawberry bar:)

Lovely shop, lovely chocolate. In particular the person who served us was very helpful and friendly. He offered samples, good advice on the varieties available and even offered us a cooling bag so as the chocolates wouldn’t melt in transit as they were a gift. Do you want the real Wonka movie taste experience of your imagination?! Haigh's Chocolates' second store is visible from at the front of The QVB, George St. entrance, Town Hall Station is the closest rail connection. The store is a beehive in busy times, the service line a bit confusing for some shoppers - 1/2 star down only for this reason. Not clear it could be any better in a half dome shaped store. Staff are friendly and patient, keeping customers coming back. The selection and payment matters as "part and parcel" of the experience. Created with care and skill equals deliciously edible. The price reflects cacao cost to product made and final destination. Purchase a loose chocolate or two from the display if cost is a factor, you won't need a trip to Woolies afterwards, but quite easily back to Haigh's! I recommend going early, or online for those busy holiday times. Online sales, Corporate and separately wedding gifts are now being sold, which is a long way from earlier days when I sent ideas to Haighs as the product is so good. I even used to take a list to give to staff who said it was actually helpful when I needed to buy loose chocolates as special gifts. Alfred Haigh would be proud I'm sure of Haigh's Chocolates; his own family keeping this company vibrantly growing in his name and theirs, and Australian.

Regardless of what attracted you in the first place (was it the lemon myrtle creams, the macadamia and coconut block or the sparkles), there is always something to discover. The lovely staff will give you a sample to taste whilst you are perusing their wares. Worth a look see.

Okay it's expensive but there's something about it that I just keep coming back for. Can't resist the chocolate sultanas and chocolate macadamias - great ratio of content to chocolate coating. Don't recommend the maltichocs (get malteasers instead). Nor do I recommend visiting too close to lunch when there's a special occasion (Easter etc.,) as it's packed.

This place has some of the best chocolate I've ever tasted. The truffles are positively delicious with champagne and lemon both winning flavours! However, pick them fresh from the window - we once bought a pre-packed truffle box and it's the first time I've ever tasted chocolate I would describe as stale. Also, where the truffles are really good and some of the other chocolates are exceptional, some are also a little bit average which isn't great considering their price.

I believe in the philosophy of if you are going to treat yourself, do it properly. Haigh's is the place for this. The chocolate isn't priced cheaply but honestly, it's worth every cent. I'm a particular fan of their dark chocolate which has a creamy and bitter edge to it. I've even got my family hooked on this - my father has come to expect his bag of dark chocolate frogs every birthday and Christmas. Their dark chocolate macadamias are also heaven. You can't go wrong here - they even give you samples when you buy something. If you decide to buy Haighs for an event like Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter, get in early otherwise you'll have to join the queues which wind right down George St.

Delicious gourmet chocolate stores splattered across Sydney CBD. If you see one, get in and buy yourself a bag or if you are a very nice person, you can even gift them. They are quite expensive but arguably worth it as a once-in-a-while indulgence. I buy a bag of mixed nuts covered in chocolate and it lasts a week as an after-dinner dessert. They do give out samples but at the check out counter when you are paying for your purchase - smart!
