Visited the outlet at Melbourne and got hooked onto their chocolates! The Strand’s outlet seems to be the only one with a seating lounge serving cakes and pastries. Everything was great, but it would have been perfect if the staff keeps the lounge tidier as there are boxes of chocolates lying around just next to where we are seating though. Nevertheless, love the chocolates here!

I had a really positive experience here. The store is gorgeous, really lovely layout and design. The graphic design on the chocolate packets themselves is beautiful too. The staff member that greeted me was friendly and let me browse, I didn’t feel rushed or pressured! They have a wonderful native range at the moment, with Wattleseed, Lemon Myrtle, Davidson Plum and Whipstick Wattle. Their price range was what you’d expect from such a high-end chocolate store, with the native range bars at $13 each, the more basic bars at $10. They also have individual items in the glass counter display, in addition to a large Easter and gift range. When compared to Haigh’s at the other end of The Strand, Koko Black easily comes out on top. I gave both a visit before deciding where I was purchasing my gift from. I was actually approached by a staff member in Koko Black, in addition to the store simply having better quality items with more beautiful designs. I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing chocolate & a good choice as a gift,, I tried also the other kinds of desserts were also tasty, the coffee was average but I did not like the location : downstair. It is noisy & miserable.

I wish I could remember her name but the lovely girl with pink hair served us and she was not only a sweetheart but amazing. If you want hot chocolate it’s best that you come in early as they do run out towards the end of the day (we arrived 20 minutes before closing). My husband and I picked up a range of goodies there and the gaytime goldies are to die for and I strongly recommend.

The cafe was very hard to find but when we arrived we were very exited to try the iced chocolate drink! It was worth the find. The cafe is located in the basement of the chocolate shop. The customer service is superb. Their desserts are absolutely delicious 😋 We definitely recommend! I'll still give this place 5 starts because of their quality. Enjoy!

Chocolate is great. Customer experience is average. Saturday, no lockdowns already. 4:44 pm they are closed. Been told a couple hours before by the staff that they work till 5pm.

Hidden little gem under the Koko black store itself. Tried the Salted Caramel and Pretzel Sunday, a specials item. Very good option to share, with both salty and sweet flavours. Small little underground room with no wheelchair access, though cramped, quite cosy. May or may not have been under construction. Recommend for a date or a place to take relatives sight seeing Sydney.

Hidden gem in the CBD. Absolutely delicious hot chocolate, delicious selection of pralines and a few savoury dishes, but their forte is in the chocolates! Plenty of options for Gluten free, nut free and lactose free!

Nice hideaway cafe downstairs. As you walk downstairs you smell the amazing chocolate. Delicious signature hot chocolate and pastries - be ready for some very intense chocolate flavours. Staff were friendly. Place has limited seating. The only negative is the storage is blocked by sheet liner (in public area) and staff kept walking over opening and closing it. Didn’t seem to fit the rest of the cafe.

The best place to get a Belgian hot chocolate drink in the city. This hot chocolate is very thick yet very smooth. And yes it does cost double the hot chocolate you can get in the surrounding cafe. But this hot chocolate is very good and very close to the one available in Belgium. Perfect winter warmer

Pros: The hot chocolate was amazing . Very reasonable price . Down stairs cafe was packed . The salted caramel dish was also delicious. Cons: Cafe downstairs can get busy . You will feel stuffed by the end as it is so rich . The chocolate is expensive but dam it's good .

Koko Black are definitely Australia's finest chocolate makers, handily beating any other local competition (eg at the other end of the arcade). Their truffles in particular are really first class. I'm especially fond of their chocolate truffle and their champagne truffle. The hot chocolates are also pretty special! They do fabulous gift boxes that are guaranteed to please. When I worked in the CBD I sometimes used to walk down in my lunch break and just buy one or two truffles as a treat.

Offers a wide selection of products from individual truffles to mixed boxes and special products over holiday seasons. Staff are wonderful and happy to help, have attended the shop many times for gifts and to indulge myself. Helpful allergen information on packaging and have not gotten sick from any sort of cross contamination. The prices are high but you are paying for a high quality product and not an everyday item, these are a luxury food product so I don't have an issue with the price range. The products are absolutely delicious and the cafe down stairs offers exclusive items and beverages. Koko Black is always my go to Chocolate Shop.

Have only bought the chocolates, lots of chocolates. Personally, for me, the high point has been the Dan Hunter collaboration. That chef is just super talented and his brilliance shone through with his chocolate blocks and gift boxes. The house range would make for lovely gifts, easily hitting a range of points. Everything is thoughtfully packaged and designed beautifully - and I, for one - would love to see more collaborations!

Amazing hot chocolate! It is very rich and creamy. Customer service is quite good too. Limited cafe seating downstairs and chocolate shop upstairs. I've also tried their orange almond friand which is lovely and dense. About 10 minutes walk from Wynyard station. It is located in the heart of the Sydney CBD shopping district.

The cafe downstairs is a little sad without windows. There was quiet a long wait for the hot chocolate to take away even if the place wasn't busy, and their paiement machine wasn't working so we had to go upstairs. Classic Belgium Hot Chocolate was good though, and I tried for the 1st time a dulce de leche chocolate which was very good.
