We loved the Moroccan eggs and the asparagus breakfast. The locally roasted coffee was great, and the servings are large. The Moroccan breakfast is substantial and tastes authentic. The asparagus was so juicy and the mushrooms are just like how I cook them myself (perfect).

All they serve is bowls of porridge! You get three choices! Too Hot. Too cold, or Just Right. If you eat any of them an angry bear chases you out. Do not recommend.

Rustic Rusty Vintage Grunge - cool ceiling! So much eye candy... Cool steam tank with pipes, decaying plaster ceilings and walls... A feeling of being an old butchers... Fabulous decor, feels like urban and historic decay... Food good, unpretentious options and plating. Pizza, burgers, steak, pulled pork rolls, all day breakfast options, salads, beverages and beers... Outdoor and indoor seating. Menus online at their website. Opening hours a little inflexible (typically closed before 4pm). What google says, their door sign says and what their website says for Evening Dinner hours is in conflict. So if planning a dinner, call first to confirm they are open.

A fabulous breakfast this morning at Three Bears Kitchen. Moroccan Eggs were absolutely delicious and poached egg cooked perfectly. The staff , as always very friendly, efficient and welcoming. Coffee at Three Bears never disappoints. A great visit! I highly recommended this restaurant.

Beautiful breakfast on a Saturday morning. Everything looked fantastic on the menu, so hard to pick something. Ended up with the Moroccan eggs and the breaky stack, both were delicious and came out in less than 20mins despite them being very busy. Staff were warm and welcoming despite them being run off their feet. Great coffee and prices as well. Overall, highly recommend.

What an amazing place for food and coffee. Friendly Staff at such an easy location. Met the owners Tony and Vicki that make you feel most welcome. Vicki is the head chef and does an amazing job with fulfilling your every culinary request. Apart from the great food and coffee, you never seem to wait too long for your order. We are so lucky to have such amazing cafes and restaurants in the CBD of Newy, but 3 Bears located in Market Square across from the Post Office is an absolute gem. Congrats guys love the decor full of history as well.

We came here because it had good reviews. We ordered avo smash and this was very yummy and arrived quickly. However the mocha I ordered tasted like water and very bland. They were happy to not charge us, but then we had to wait 10 minutes to get a milkshake we ordered at the start, even though we had paid and stood there waiting. They pushed out at least 20-30 coffee orders while paid customers like us kept waiting. Please consider customer service.

very nice. On the tourist end of Newcastle so it was quite busy. Staff was efficient and courteous. After crowd thinned out some the staff was as friendly as we've come to find Australians to be! Food was delicious. The inside of the cafe has fabulous decor. Make sure to look up!

The coffee here is very good, and they offer ordering through the Hey You app so you can order ahead and collect on the way. One warning is that the large coffee really is large! (By which I mean that the medium is what I normally call a large so I keep ordering bigger than I want by mistake!) I also had the toasted reuben for lunch and it was very good.

I'm giving this a four star. We had five people dining there for brunch, and four out of five of us were very happy with their food. I was the one who wasn't so impressed. I had the corn fritters, and found them to be overfried, and the serving size to be really small for what I paid for (the rocket on top made it seem so much more voluminous). I ended up having to get some banana bread elsewhere afterwards because I was still hungry (I have a small appetite so that's saying a lot!). Nevertheless, the rest of the table really loved the meal. They ordered the Moroccan eggs - and they were very satisfied. The coffees were really nice - the microfoam wasn't really in point in my opinion, but the flavour of the coffee was really smooth and rich. The decor was really cool also, however it was pretty hot, we were sweltering! The service was excellent - very personable and friendly. Felt really at home. I'd come back for sure - just wouldn't order the fritters again.

Had a lovely lunch here that was just delightful. Wait staff were friendly and warm, with a fun and welcoming atmosphere about the place. Food was delicious - I recommend the peppermint hot chocolate!

What a little gem. Tried this place for dinner on a chance and were REALLY impressed. Great menu, polite and prompt staff. They even made the point of calling us back after booking, to ask if any guests had allergies.. . To which they happily offered an alternative menu. BYO is the go, but you really can't go wrong with the food. Food: 5 stars, staff: 5 stars, don't ever change Three Bears Kitchen.

Only saw three bears menu sign on the mall only after walking out on black penny. best decision we made. Three bears café was wonderful, a menu on the outside of building so you know before you go in what it is, cool looking restaurant with simple and nice décor. family friendly and no loud music to ruined your brunch. We ordered the full Irish breakfast and the waitress was able to organize a cheese toastie (not on menu) for our daughter. a side serve of chips, the food came out within ten minutes, it really was good, and the Irish breakfast could feed two adult easy. The waitress was awesome (we left a $8 tip) and so glad we found this place, will be back there next time we are in Newcastle. 5 out of 5 from us, (and black penny your lost was three bears gain) .

Wow! We visit Newcastle often and when we’re here this is a morning tradition. The decor is some of the most amazing I’ve seen and that doesn’t even compare to the richest, most delicious mocha’s. Definitely give it a go!

Finally decided to check out The Three Bears Kitchen on Market St Newcastle. Safe to say that this is my new favourite breakfast cafe. The coffee had a pleasant aroma & it was pulled to perfection which was proven by it's smooth crema. For our breakfast we both had the Welsh Buck which is spiced Cheddar toast with an egg, caramelised onion & bacon jam. It was a delicious combination of flavours which was foreign but welcoming in the mouth. The shakes we had were The Shamrock Bear & Grin It & Bear It Mango & Cream. Each of them both a different taste of the usual but it pulled off as a delicious desert & good accompaniment to our meals. From the second we entered to the second we left I didn't have a bad moment. Give this place a go over this summer break for a taste of luxury. 🍴🎆

Unfortunately, this business is suffering badly, due to Newcastle's light rail project, as well as changes for the recent V8 races. It's a shame, because it's one of the few restaurants that caters for both Vegans and Gluten free diets.
