One of the best fish and chips we've had in Adelaide so far. So tasty, portion was very generous and the service was amazing as well! I think its totally unfair for those account with less than 10 reviews to give them 1 star with no photo.

I remember back when Jimmies was the newcomer up against our regular fish and chip place. They were good but just a bit further to drive to collect from our place. Loyalty and logistics kept us away until the other place changed hands. Now Jimmies is our regular place and the food is just as good as it was on day one. Fast service and great staff with a friendly atmosphere. If you do have to wait then there are seats locals to chat to or Jimmie himself plus you can watch spectacular sunsets. Please try it out. So much better than the corporate big guys that are now around. If we don't support our local people we will lose out. Get in there and taste the menu. You will not be disappointed.

Pizzas are ok. Toppings a bit light on and base a bit soft. But still quite tasty. Not all patrons observe covid precautions. Had to wait an additional 20 minutes past the time we were told our order would be ready, but they were really busy which tells you something...

The only restaurant near where we were staying at Aldinga Beach gave us tasty seafood, yiros and schnitzels. The service was friendly and efficient. and the owner gave me a container of chicken salt which he strongly recommended. Please note that the restaurant closes at 8.30pm.

Generally great food and friendly service. They've been very busy of late with wait times up to 45mins. We were given a free drink once, due to our order taking so long, which was generous. Recent experience not so great though, as we ordered a hamburger with the lot and only received a plain hamburger.

Loyalty points when you order using their app. Ordering ahead on the app saves a bunch of time. Always hot fresh and tasty. Some small mistakes because lots of local young people start their first jobs here, but always fixed up if you (nicely) point it out (dont be a jerk about though, you were a teenager once too 😊)

Not what it used to be. Ordered small chips "extra crunchy" & was handed a box of soggy mess that would stick to the roof if you threw them. During our wait, we also witnessed two of the staff working fryers (one was ginger & the other, brunette) mock the owner or manager training a new, older man while her back was turned showing him how to use the till. Pulling faces & laughing. You know a place is going to go downhill when the staff don't respect the management 🤦‍♀️ Sorry, you've lost a local family.

I really appreciated our follow up conversation today and that you took my feedback onboard regarding the app, the delay with delivery and the customer service that we received last night. You are a great business man and leader...and I wish your business a lot of continuing success. I was not seeking compensation from my original review...but your request to make it up to us was gracefully accepted and completely deserved this turnaround review. Thank you all so much. And your food is delicious! Original Post: 2 STARS Ordered a party size and a large pizza via their app for home delivery. Was advised its going to take 1hr and 15mins for our order to be delivered. That's the longest I've ever had to wait for pizza so I was expecting something absolutely magical. The large was to be a gluten free pizza but they called shortly after placing the order to advise they have run out of the gluten free pizza base (so I know the order went through on the app without delay). Ok, we moved on from that one...and changed to both with standard pizza base. After waiting 1.5hrs and still no pizza...and now 4 very hangry children we attempt to call 4 times to follow-up. Each time the call was answered and then hung up on straight away. Nearly 2hrs and still nothing, I drive there instead and they haven't even started cooking the pizzas yet! As you can imagine, Im extremely surprised and annoyed to hear this but absolutely no empathy was given by the staff. They advised they'd do them straight away and they'd be delivered within 10mins. Nope. Another 25 minutes later the pizza's finally arrived!! You do the maths on that one as to how long it took to get 2 pizzas!!! All they could say was "our pizza deliveries are busy tonight"... Im sure they were but when I went to the store there was our pizza docket and only one other hanging on the docket line and the store was not full of customers waiting either. And they had my phone number (remember they called re no gluten base) so they could have called to advise/apologise on how behind they are running with their orders. The kids said the pizzas tasted nice, so I'll fairly give them 2 stars but the rest is lost on the wait time and lack of customer service. Wish I could've written about a better experience.

The fish are large and delicious. The chips are generous, but of average taste. The gravy is delicious and makes the chips taste wonderful. The pizzas are very good and packed with topping. Only fault with the pizzas are the toppings end about an inch from the edge. Also the wait time always goes overtime so save some time and order ahead.

Really good value for money. Great quality food. Our group of six with 3 kids were reaaly impressed. My burger with requested gluten free bun was the best burger in years. Yum! And we sat and watched the sunset while eating them. Heaven!

My favorite thing about jimmies is theyve always had good portion sizes with their chips. But just have to say a word about what they use to put food in. Just down the stairs from Jimmies takeaway on the beach, a plastic foam container either littered or blown out of the open bins. This is why I ask to have my dinner in paper or cardboard, and that's the way it should be. Businesses need to choose wisely about what they use for takeaway containers, plastic foam is in the past and biodegradable items are vital especially when you own a business by the ocean. I see that Jimmies are using wooden cutlery which is great but one more step to make the war on waste issue better. NO POLYSTYRENE FOAM... please.

The crust, flakey and light, like an award winning pastie fresh from the oven. Some people might be put off by the exotic flavours, tomato, basil.... Cheese?! They don't even charge extra for the dead horse which they spread generously over the base BEFORE baking it.... At NO extra cost! Now I know a bargain when I'm offered one. Jimmie Jimmie Jimmie! They call you Jimmie's takeaway but why would you take away when you can stay. The aroma, the comfortable, unpretentious umbiance, like a warm pastie by the beach on a cold day. Well let's be honest, it's no bakery goodness, but for the ladies, this might be the magic touch I've been looking for, if you know what I mean? A real game changer here! Just imagine it, a first date with the next love of my life.... Let's be honest the ladies today love something exotic. Jimmy you've really got me thinking this time. You really have.... I mean who would've love a Dolmio grin 😉. They call me 'Pastie Pete' but after tonight, I'm starting to think 'Pizza Pete' sounds mighty fine.
