We'd not visited since last year's Fringe at Holden Street Theatres and were keen to eat after an early show. Warm welcome by our front-of-house fave and excellent service throughout our dinner. Wonderful pizza with generous toppings with a kale salad!

Dinner at @pizzameccanica: delicious food! Sometimes you just want tasty pizzas 😋😍. The menu isn't big, but they are all quality dishes. . Pizza special of the day: can't remember exactly what it was - think it was nduja, fennel, pork sausage🤦😅. The crust was not heavy, the toppings were excellent, and was not too greasy either. All in all, it was pretty good! . Baked parmigiana: fried eggplant, Italian herbs, San Marzano sugo, scamorza, parmesan, fresh basil, served with warm rustic sourdough. Super tasty dish! Loved dipping the sourdough into the eggplant 😋😋. . Homemade gelato: they were pretty good! Maybe not as good as Bottega, but very delicious nevertheless. The pistachio flavour was very bold, and was like eating actual pistachios!

Authentically Italian menu and trendy industrial-chic vibe. Pizza bases were on point and they even had some iconic Italian regional aperitifs. The fried pizza is a decadant treat without being too greasy.

We had a great experience at Pizza Meccanica. Staff were friendly and enthusiastic. Pizza was delicious. The decoration of the whole shop is like a garage, and there is a shiny red Chevrolet parked inside. May need to book in advance as they only open from Thursday to Sunday.

One of the best pizza places in Adelaide, my husband is a massive pizza connoisseur (makes his own authentic dough at home), so when he raves about a place I know it's something special. The staff are absolutely brilliant, passionate and clearly love their workplace. Beautiful, authentic, simple, quality Italian pizza dough with gorgeous fresh topping options, great drinks menu and dessert/gelati. Love the decor too ❤️

Am visiting from overseas and just overwhelmed in general by pizza prices in Australia (not related just to this place. Paying $26 for a Margherita pizza is extremely expensive. This seems to be the standard pricing in Australia.

Amazing service and friendly cheerful staff! The pizza base is thin but that's what you'd expect from a gourmet pizza. They more than make up for it in flavour. My favourite is the funghi pizza.

Everything in this place is great! To start with, deco is amazing, love the walls and the car in there. All the food was delicious: from the entrees to the pizzas and you get soooo much value for money . Finally, and I cannot stress this enough, the outstanding service: we got there at 9:20, kitchen was about to close and the lovely waitress that served us had so much energy and amazing attitude to explain the menu even if it was in a rush. She was constantly checking on us and if everything was ok and making suggestions even if it was last the kitchen's closing time or if it was late for her. We didn't feel pressured at all and were able to enjoy the lovely food. At the end, she and other staff members took the time to talk to us and laugh a bit, even if it was more than 10:30 pm. A place that I would love to recommend. Thank you for your attention! Lovely to visit your restaurant!

Fantastic! Our waitress was friendly and engaging from the moment we sat down. The food was delicious - we started 2 starters and 4 pizzas between 5 adults and it was the right amount if food. The highlight was the prosciutto pizza with fresh buffalo mozzarella added. Great atmosphere and fit out too. We'll be back for sure

Had a great feed here. The pizza was delicious, so delicious in fact that we shared 3 pizzas between two people. The staff were friendly and looked after us very well. Why then no 5 star rating? It was our comfort levels with the bar seating. We were seated at the bar, and there was no space to tuck your legs under, in fact my knees kept hitting the bar and I had to position myself further out than was comfortable for a long period of time. This side though, we had a great experience. The fitout of the space is well in line with the mechanic theme of the whole little precinct (as explained in the opening pages of the menu). It has a super casual/family feel to it which suits their market well, and was busy the whole time we were there. I wasn't so sure how I felt about the music playing - it was either the Fast and the Furious soundtrack, or Gone in 60 Seconds soundtrack. I'll be back for sure though. They also do takeaway 💯

Simple menu of what they clearly do well. Had the warmed olives entre with really good white anchovies (hard to find good ones)..a great way to start the visit along with a well made cocktail- good quality spirits and mixers. Reccomend the Dark & Stormy and Negroni. Pizza was simply great. Amazing base and balance of good quality toppings. You can tell these guys love their food. Good quality everything.you

After travelling to napoli and eating pizza at sorbilo I thought I would never have pizza like this again, today I found it. The pizza here is really tasty and is an excellent representation of Neapolitano pizza, the vibe in the restaurant is also fantastic. I have now been twice, the first time our pizza crust and base were perfect, the crust was fluffy and the base floppy but still holding its structural integrity. The most recent time the base was soggy on both of the pizzas bought. I will definitely still be going back, however I hope that in future visits the pizza base is more consistent with my first visit.

Solid four stars, almost earning another half point for the quality menu. The mixed "first" plates are excellent. Definitely get the cheese! The spicy sausage pizza takes top spot, best in class too, might be the best Italian sausage pizza in Adelaide. The room has the look (decor) of a 60s / 70s auto mechanic's workshop and an interesting back story, check it out in the front of the menu. Definitely worth another visit to check out more of the menu.

The Restaurant itself is amazing. I really love the decor, ambience, layout and general vibe of the restaurant. I was a bit frustrated with our waitress that sometimes understood perfect English but other times things got lost in translation. Drink range was a little shallow. But the thing that really marked down your star rating were our Pizza's. Some were so soggy they looked like spaghetti but the outer crust was chared. I will go back I'm not giving up.

Great service, pizza sauce and high quality toppings. However, pizza base/dough was a bit undercooked and soggy towards the centre of each pizza, which also caused some undesirable effects. Also, charging $3 for each slice of cake that we brought in with us, for 'cakeage', is a little steep.

Sadly disappointed with this place. The place looks amazing, but the music and service just ruined it for my partner and I. The music was too loud, and an awkward mix of dance music that just didn’t fit the venue. The service was also average. The food was pretty good though, we had the margarita and prosciutto pizza. Would love maybe some more fresh basil but otherwise worth the price you pay. Would love to see some changes to the music and maybe a more welcoming environment for what could be a great local pizza place.

One it the best pizzas I've ever eaten! Small selection of pizzas which makes decisions easy, but still covers all bases. Delicious dessert pizza available for after dinner. Large wine list with local beers available and cocktails! Sides are also tasty but a little pricey for what they are/what you get. Very cool, car shop style vibe in the place, with good music and lighting. All in all, you're after tasty pizza and a cool place to catch up with some drinks - this is the right spot!

Pizza Meccanica is a fun, mechanic themed pizza restaurant. They say they’re home to the Neapolitan pizza... obviously no one who works here has been to Naples! The base was burned on the edges but soggy and raw in the middle. After reading so many great reviews, this was a let down. I believe the music is too loud for dinner service where people like chat with each other over a meal. I don’t think I’ll be back... I’ll keep looking for traditional Italian pizza in Adelaide.

Pizzas are incredibly delicious! Our table had 11 people and we order 12 pizzas; 10 savoury and 2 nutella. The number of pizzas was perfect for the group. We shared them along the table so everyone got to try everything. It's a great idea. 4 formaggio and mushroom were my favourite! The Nutella one with vanilla ice cream on top was indulgent! The customer service was very good. The place has been set up beautifully, combining colours and contrasting elements. Loved the red ute 😊 Really like the whole thing!!

Great place to go to! Its the best pizza joint. (other than dominos) I certanly recommend coming here. It's a clean place with clean bathroom. Unfortunately, you need to put in a booking when you go here, and the bar seats are so uncomfortable for us, but that just means we gotta be better prepared lol. Definitely deserves 5 stars.
